Ps4 selling out?

So I've heard from a friend of mine that the ps4 is selling out. (my friend was planning to upgrade to a ps4) He told me that the stores around where he is, doesn't have them an many of the online stores don't either. I wasn't really planning on getting a ps4 anytime soon really but is it true? I mean it could be just for his area, though I'm curious now...
I guess what I'm really trying to ask is if the ps4 is selling out in other places as well?

There's plenty in the stores near me in South Wales, UK.

Its mainly in the U.S.
Everyone wants a PS4 but whenever Sony ships us (Gamestop) some, we usually get them in threes. They're mainly focusing their production on Japan right now and also working on fixing their launch issues.
From what I know of, gamestop.com only has the bundles left in stock (Which are kinda expensive)

Oh that makes sense. v.v Though why manly on Japan right now? O.o Anyway thanks! I'll be sure to keep that in mind. The ps4 is pretty expensive right now from what I hear. Wonder how much online bundle are... I think I'm gonna check it out lolz
