[PRP] Into April

Since her birthday, Henrietta had been riding -whenever- she could and where ever she could; the yellow bicycle wasn't the fastest thing ever, nor the cutting edge in cycling technology, but she thought it was one of the best things she'd ever owned...
She hadn't forgotten, though, that she was a trainer, and considered it her duty to, not only keep her pokemon trained for battling, but give them plenty of scope and time to play- that was 'bonding' after all.

With a near-full team, it was especially important, she thought, and thus, with her bike locked up and propped against a tree, the girl had all her pokémon out in the park, in Camphoreon.

Bub, her newest, towered over the rest, and Hen' herself, sitting lazily in front of the girl, who seemed to be trying to interest him in a ball game of some kind.
"See, Bub, it's easy-peasy, look! I throw the ball and you head-butt it back, okay? It's -not- food, okay?" Apparently it was an important reminder...
Bub yawned.

A soft melody carried along the wind, originating from somewhere nearby.

Moving in the opposite direction was a colorful Charmeleon, her bright eyes alert and searching for anything to catch her interest. What she saw was a young girl, a large Snorlax, and a ball. There were other pokemon in the vicinity, but none of them caught her attention as much as the three did. In a flash, she had approached the group, her forepaws on the ground in a position like she was ready to pounce, her gaze riveted on the ball in the girl's hand.

Henrietta did like music, but for the moment, playing with her pokémon was taking point over anything else. She attempted to throw the ball to Bub, but the head-butt he offered was not deliberate.
Indeed, Bub actually looked moderately confused by the fact that Hen' had just bounced a ball off his head.
He had, at least, not tried to eat the ball... This time...
"Oh man! Nearly!" Hen' called, undeterred despite the failure...
The ball was now, however, 'unsupervised'.
"Hi!" Especially as Hen' noticed the odd Charmeleon... "You look awesome!"

Her yellow eyes were fixed on the ball as it arced through the air and bounced off the head of the giant pokemon, and she didn't really pay much attention to the girl that started speaking. Instead, her flame-tipped tail whipped back and forth as she opened her mouth and shot a short spout of flame at the sphere.

Unfortunately for anything and everything that intrigued her, her favorite way to study them was to try and set fire to them. Luckily she had been taught by now not to do that to people, but objects were another matter entirely.

The ball, perhaps predictably, caught fire...
And was then a fireball.
It landed in the grass... where, luckily, Gummy decided to spray it with water... Whether he'd actually done it deliberately was debatable, but it was, at least, fortunate; the ball hadn't survived the flames, but the grass wouldn't catch fire, at least.
Hen' looked surprised, confused, and then, surprisingly, delighted, despite the destruction of the ball.
"Oh wow! That was an awesome shot! You could totally teach my team about aim!" She seemed somewhat delighted to meet the reptile, too.

The Charmeleon leaned back onto her hindlegs as she threw her claws into the air in celebration at her perfect shot - until the small, green Totodile doused the fireball as it landed in the grass. Her arms dropped down to her sides and she looked briefly put out by this, especially knowing that it wouldn't be too easy to set a wet thing on fire again, but it didn't bother her for very long. With her object of interest sufficiently destroyed, she turned her attention to the trainer. Teach them? Ohh, she could teach them a thing or two, all right. "Chaaar!" She rumbled, thinking nothing of teaching anyone as she moved forward to circle the girl out of curiosity, completely ignorant of the phrase 'personal space' as she nosed around at the trainer's person. Did she have anything interesting on her that she could also set fire to?

Henrietta actually giggled as the Charmeleon started nosing around her.
"Man! You're friendly, huh?! Where's your trainer?" She grinned, and then introduced herself, and the pokemon around.
"I'm Henrietta- but you can call me Hen'! And that's Gummy," She gestured to each pokémon with their name "Bub, up there is Bistra, and over there, sleeping, is Fluffster," the latter was an Eevee with slightly odd patterns "and sleeping up there in the shade," she pointed up into a tree "is Winglet! She doesn't like the sun."

Elizabeth paid absolutely no attention to the girl's introductions of herself and her team of pokemon, instead still trying to find anything of interest on her. Not finding anything, nor smelling anything tasty, she backed off with a light huff and instead dropped onto all fours in front of the roasted ball, thoroughly inspecting it as she tried to twist her head all around it to see it from every angle she could. Then, experimentally, she shot a small wisp of flame at it.

"Um. Okay. I think you kinda cooked it!" Hen' piped up, undeterred.
Fluffster, woken up by a new scent, new sounds, and the smell of... fire... wagged her tail and wandered over to see the new pokémon her trainer was talking to.
She... wasn't sure what to make of her, but she half-recognised the ball... It hadn't looked like that when she'd gone for her nap.
That was naughty!
Why wasn't a trainer telling off this Charmeleon?!
"Veeveeveeveeveevee!" The Eevee yapped, attempting to voice her displeasure and disapproval at the reptile as she watched steam rise from where the already blackened, and wet, ball, was 'reheated'.

She continued to ignore the girl's words - not that she could reply anyway - until her head jerked up as an Eevee suddenly appeared in her line of vision, yipping away. She half-raised herself, but kept her left claws in the ground as her right ones lifted up a bit. Her yellow eyes focused unblinkingly on the Eevee as she slowly moved her right claws over the ball, picked it up, and just as slowly put it in the side of her mouth, staring at the oddly-colored normal-type the entire time.

Fluffster continued to yap, intent on voicing her displeasure at the fire type, though perplexed and insulted by the current actions.
That didn't seem like the actions of someone who was sorry for destroying something at all!
She offered a little growl just to make her point clear.

"Hey! Fluffster, come on, we just met, uh... I dunno your name so I'm gonna call you 'Greeny' for now, 'kay? We just met 'Greeny', be nice!"

The fire-type watched the Eevee with some curiosity, dropping her other arm and straightening up as she slowly chewed on the roasted ball. The size of it prevented her from closing her mouth fully, and flames flickered out and around her teeth as she continued to chew.

Her actions were indeed not of someone who was sorry for what they had done, because she was not, in fact, sorry for anything she had done thus far.

When the normal-type simply continued to be loud, Elizabeth tilted her head to one side before slowly reaching for her, intending to lightly push her face down on the off-chance the action would cause her noise-making to cease.

What? Just... What?! Why was the big lizard trying to push her? Fluffster wriggled backward and then hopped back.
She /did/ cease her yapping, but it was more out of being slightly stunned than anything else.

"Yeah! See, you two could be friends!" Hen' seemed to think the action was some kind of introduction or gesture for friendship...

Gummy, passively staring ahead (maybe watching? Who could tell) offered a sage commentary on the matter by releasing a drool of a water gun. Not really a spray, or a shot, of any kind unless one were to take it as a 'warning shot'. Though, it would be hard to tell if Gummy was even capable of the concept.

With that accomplished, Elizabeth straightened back up and continued to idly roll the ball between her teeth as she looked up to the girl. She didn't know quite why she was talking so much - did younger humans normally talk this much? - but it didn't really matter. With an internal shrug, the fire-type instead shifted her yellow gaze to the Totodile that shot a small, pitiful stream of water out.

Slowly, very slowly, she extended a claw so she could poke the side of Gummy's head.

The strange Charmeleon was starting to worry the Eevee now. Fluffster let out a little dissatisfied growling whine and started to circle the fire type... She thought Henrietta should just let her attack Elizabeth already.

"That's Gummy!" Henrietta chimed, brightly, as Elizabeth poked the water type.
"He's kinda like you but he's a water type! He's nice though, you two could be friends easily! I'm sure he likes you; he likes everyone!"

Gummy entirely failed to react to being poked.
