(A Deadly Summoning Competition)In the heart of Sapporo, just as the cold season begins to set in, something immense begins to stir...
...Summoners from around the world gather into one place, called by the wish-granting chalice known as the Holy Grail, and are set to compete against one another in a battle to the death to claim a power beyond imagination. The power to grant a wish to its winner...any wish, is what they say...and for those who emerge from the battle alive, a story of combat and courage, of the heroic legends of old come to stand upon the Earth once more and fight!
Rider...Saber...Lancer...Caster...Berserker...Archer...and Assassin...
These Heroic Spirits and their Masters clash to determine once and for all who shall sit atop the magic would and have their wish heard by the one and only Holy Grail.

The Third Holy Grail War Begins...Quote: Rules of the Third Holy Grail War1. You may choose one character to enter. The majority of entrants must be of a summoner class. 2. Entrants waive their immunity to death for the duration of the War and may be killed by other masters in the War. 3. Entrants will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of relics. Each relic will correspond to an unknown Class of Servant. 4. Once in possession of a relic, masters can use them to summon their own Servant. Servants will be randomly chosen dependent upon the exact relics chosen. 5. Once summoned, masters and servants will fight to the death to determine one winner. Pairs may be defeated either by the loss of a master OR a servant, or via the willing withdrawal of the master from the competition. 6. Servants have their own personalities and ideals. They are more likely to obey certain commands. You may control them however you wish, so long as it is beholden to that. 7. Masters will have 3 Absolute Command Seals. By addressing the Command Seal directly, they may spend one and ensure their servant obeys their directive immediately and to the letter...this may include forcing retreat, forcing a focus on a single target, etc. 8. If a master still lives without a servant and a servant still lives without a master, it is possible they may team up and reenter the fight. 9. The winner will be allowed to keep their Servant permanently as a very high level devil. 10. The victor will also receive one wish from the Holy Grail. 11. Masters may not use any other summons in battles for the Grail aside from their Servant. Masters may, however, use any internal magic they possess to defend themselves from other Masters. 12. More rules may be added as needed.

During the Third Holy Grail War, summoners will be required to call upon their Heroic Spirits, aka Servants, before they can officially receive their command seals and enter into the competition. To summon a Servant, however, a summoner must first be in possession of a Relic which relates to the particular servant they intend to summon. Oftentimes the summoner is unaware of the exact origin of a relic; they may often lack even the slightest inclination as to exactly which Heroic Spirit they are calling upon, though this is not always the case. Relics are an item from a certain time period, of a certain origins, which are used as a catalyst during the summoning process.
The Relic that you select will determine the Servant which you gain command of. There are several types of Relics, and several Relics of each type...so both the Class and exact Heroic Spirit summoned will remain a mystery to you until after you've selected your Relic!

Think carefully before you choose your relic, and then grab the one that you feel best suits you!

Then, by the divine right of the Holy Sacrament, may you receive good luck in the Third Holy Grail War! Quote: Relic Selection Rules
1. You may only select one relic per-character.
2. Only two relics of a specific type may be chosen total.
3. Once chosen, you may not change your relic.
4. Dependent upon the type of relic and the exact relic of that type chosen, you will receive the Heroic Spirit which corresponds to that relic.
5. After receiving notice of what Heroic Spirit you receive, details about that Heroic Spirit's identity and abilities will be passed on to you via PM or Instant Message.
6. You will receive your three Command Seals and be instantly transported to the Sapporo area as soon as your summoning is successful. You may summon out-of-character or in once you receive your Relic.
7. Unused Relics will remain in the possession of the Tournament Overseer until such a time as they see fit to give possession of them to another potential Master.
8. Send a Private Message to Arena Emperor with your choice of Relic as soon as your character is signed up for the War. You will receive a response with your details as soon as possible.
9. The list of Relics will be placed below this. Study it carefully before making your choice.
10. Relics may be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis.
11. Any changes/rules required may be added later.
