The gate to the village isn't exactly what you'd call...a gate. Instead, a formation of natural whirlpools guards the entrance, with the guards standing in front of one of the few transport pools able to grant access into the village. Entrance by any other method will cause a wall of water to erupt from the whirlpools, deterring entrance just as well as a solid gate would, no matter the speed of the intruder. These gates do not attack; they merely repel the intruder by launching them out of the wall in the direction they entered from. In other words...use the proper means of entering.

Van walked through the gates. Casually dressed in a hoodie and covered up, She would look like a normal civilian and just passed through. She didnt want to train at the training grounds. She wanted some adventure.
xxxxx"Lord Xen, we've broken through their gates! Our advance team should be making quick work of the gate guards any moment now. How would you like to proceed?" From his comfortable perch at the Barbarian's advance camp, the Barbarian General instead elected to take a more direct approach. Traditionally, Barbarians weren't supposed to remain seated during battle anyway. "The answer to that one is obvious, Rena. I'll be bringing the battle to them myself. I hear they have a particularly powerful shinobi here anyway. Jin and Kazan will take care of what was once our coastal camp; I have no qualms with bringing the pain to these rebels myself. Isn't that right, Nakiri?" He would rest his hand upon the head of his companion, a griffon standing a solid head taller than him to his right side. The griffon crooned, brushing her face against his to somehow indicate her support. "I'll let them deal with the pawns for now; when the battle has reached its climax, I will make an appearance."
Nobuyuki and his men would have only the lowly foot soldiers to deal with at the gates...for now. But what they would witness when they got to the gates...was a horror scene unlike anything they'd seen in the clan wars. It wasn't like before--where the only battle was being done between men and women who were prepared to die for what they believed in--this was a massacre. Innocent men and women, chakra-less civilians were being gutted by the hundreds and thousands. Mangled corpses laid strewn throughout the streets, painting a grotesque picture for any defenders who would arrive. This was the true brutality of the Barbarians. How would the shinobi respond to such a direct affront on their home?
VanZant heard screaming and she rushed as quickly as she could to the scene of the battle. When she approached the gates, she was met by mangled corpses, fire, and many strong foes. Her small frame at five foot five and one hundred and nineteen pounds stopped dead in her tracks, her fists at her side... They clenched hard and blood drew from her soft white flesh. Looking at those butchered as if they were animals. She looked around with wide eyes at the horror. She looked to the Barbarians and threw her hands to her side and shouted, "S...S...St-s-stop this...." Her voice was low, weak, shaking along with the tremors of her body. She looked up in fear but her eyes grew strong, her fear and trembling turning from fear to hatred. But also something else seemed to be there... resolve. She threw one hand in front of her and shouted, "We have blood slain on both sides. We can accomplish nothing by killing each other! There is so much we can learn from each other! We each have our own ways, our own customs, please!" She begged. She then looked to him and spoke softly. "You have Lucifer... you have slain our men... we have slain yours.... how many more have to die before you two leaders realize this is all in vain?!" She screamed. She could not comprehend why these people had to act this way. Why couldn't they just get along? The problem was... she had no clue who their leader was. So many life forces and chakra forces flooded her senses. So many... and her bright blue flower like eyes took them all in.

Appearing next to his daughter in a burst of speed, Nobuyuki allowed a quiet growl to escape his lips, almost having a feral animal feel to it. The veins around his eyes pulsated with the flow of his blood, his solid crimson eyes focused entirely on the army of Barbarians slaughtering his people. His daughter was attempting to talk them into not continuing their onslaught, not that he paid much attention to that; he had other things to worry about at the moment. Even if they surrendered he would show them no mercy for what they'd done, in an instant hundreds of his people were gone from this world. Flashing through handseals in an instant, an almost ethereal darkness would fall upon the world of the barbarians and potentially even some of his own people, though he made sure to try and keep them out of it. This darkness was never ending and impenetrable, something that would bring despair and fear upon any human being that wasn't trained to deal with things like this. With that done he would once more begin forming handseals, his chakra burning deep within his body in response to the rage that flowed through his body. Within seconds a large tree would burst from the ground behind him, shooting high into the sky almost immediately. The moment it would finish forming a large wave of pollen would fall from the sky, raining down on the area around him within a four-hundred foot radius. Should anyone breathe these particles in it would result in a rather unfun experience for them, seeing as just a few breaths was enough to render his enemies unconscious. With that done he would burst forward, his hands already exploding into action as he began his onslaught against the Barbarians. He targeted one of the men with the smallest amount of chakra flowing through his Tenketsu, hoping that it was a weaker enemy so he could get them out of the way as fast as possible.

The young heir to the Yamana family appeared at the gates, peering down at the barbarians below who dared to threaten his home. Was it a bird? Was it a plane? Nah breh, it was just the young Chuunin balancing on one of the truth seeking balls in mid air, looking like some Buddhist monk or something, being all majestic like just floating there. One of the spinning balls from behind him hovered over into his palm before he grasped it and began to funnel his stamina into it. Once that was complete the dark orb begun it's rapid spin until it became a blur. From this blur etched forth a powerful torrent of wind than funneled itself towards those below that dared attack his village, or rather more specifically the lowest ranked of the three targets that weren't engaged in combat with the village's forces. So in this case, the Jounin ranked "General".

Garnett had been having a very peaceful day of introspection atop a small roof. He had just been starin at the sky and enjoying the weather, reflecting on what was to be, what had been, and his purpose since leaving a false god for a far more real one. His days as a Jashinist had left quite the mark on him, literally and figuratively. On his forehead the mark still glowed brightly whenever he began to feel himself slip away. Those times were few and far between, rarely did he need to be bloodthirsty. TOday, he would soon come to realize he could not afford to stay inactive any longer. The sounds of screaming reached his ears and he turned his head to see whereabouts it was from. He rose from his perch, trying to focus without using the gift he had received when he abandoned Jashin. He could make out figures moving, some things that looked awfully similar to weapons. He felt the need suddenly to act, so he formed handseals and closed his eyes. His veins pumped out violently at the outside ends of his eye balls and when he opened the normally blank pearls, they were more intense than before. Suddenly he had a level of ocular clarity that dwarfed what he had before. With the 359 degrees of of vision he had and the wide range therein he saw just how dire things had become, and in such a short span of time. A comrade arrived, raining death from above on them, and then took note of the pollen falling from the leader of the village. He would decidedly stay clear of him for now. Instead he slid down from the side of the building and sprang into action. He approached a group of enemies, clearly not at his level of strength but still dangerous. He combined the his gentle fist with the power of the eternal style of the broken sword. He took a step, turning as he broke into the center of three opponents. In one hand he prepped the most basic of his bakuton skills while the other was a more surprising skill. He released an air palm to the chest of the closet one to the side, and used the momentum of the spin to press his other palm into the other, releasing the bakuton technique. Both men crashed through store windows, right over the corpses of freshly murdered villagers. The bandit closest to the front attempted to rush down the Hyuuga, but he had no patience, no wish to allow them to step any farther into his village. The barbarian attack was sloppy, and Garnett moved to the side, aiming a strike for a tenketsu in his ribcage. He turned around him as he reeled from the strange assault, and struck his back and neck as well, in the span of a single second. He fell, shocked a bit by a new sensation, and tried to stand again, but Garnett merely stepped on the back of hisneck, hard, ensuring to feel the sickening crack ring up through his leg as the man fell limp with a broken neck and a crushed medulla. He sighed raising his foot and looking at the blood, all the corpses around him. All that is weak must die... but why must the shadow of death follow me everywhere I go, he thought to himself as he looked for more attackers to cull, or allies to aid.
In the midst of battle, she found herself at the gates. Bandits and shinobi alike were at each other's throats, the defense at the gates were going hard. She didn't know who to help- how to help, not that she would admit it to herself. As a bandit rounded up on her, she easily flipped backwards and kicked him/it/whatever the hairy beast was in the mouth. That was all she could manage at the ... type she was in. Sure, she had wings but she hadn't learned to fly yet. These people were all.. strong. Stronger then she was. She thought of turning and running but Uzu needed her now and she wasn't going to let her village down.

The words of diplomacy were taken with a grain of salt, as the barbarians struck down the civilians. Crying and screaming echoed across the battlefield, as blood caked the the ground, creating a dark red mass of land. Fire ravaged homes, the wails of kids who'd seen to much rang out into an uncaring atmosphere. The whole world grew dark, an enveloping cloak that ate the light, rendering the battlefield void of luminescence. It would propose quite the obstacle, blindness, but most of the generals had ways to get around it. Kazan's solid grey eyes rendered the technique useless. His furious eyes pierced through the black, darting around, noting each chakra system around him. His soldiers all fell around him, one by one. If anything this darkness was his ally. His griffon soared above the sky, surveying the gruesome scene below him, all while his remaining barbarians surrounded Nobu. There was around twenty of them, all sporting swords and a nothing-to-lose attitude. They ran at him, forty of them.
A huge mass of air was shot into the center of his army, shredding through tons of men. Humans became meat, pound by pound his army shrunk. It hadn't hit anyone important to him though, his generals managed to dodge the heavily condensed technique, amidst the darkness. His barbarian forces were were torn apart by a skilled Hyuuga, of which Kazan rushed towards. Garnet would see this coming from a mile away, but that's what the barbarian General wanted. A faint smile twisted into an arrogant sneer that coat half his face. Behind stony grey eyes was determination. A cocky samurai. "You feeling lucky, punk?" Of course he would have been the one to bring out the one liners. A quick slash across the stomach was applied. If it connected, Garnet's innards would tumble out, and such would be his fate.
Reina, on the other hand, would just kai out of the darkness, since she was very familiar with the technique. For now, she would play the supporting role, unless someone attacked her. Upon looking at this particular general, the viewer eyes would strain, as if shined on by the sun.
As for the rest of the shinobi, two outlying barbarians charged at Sumiko and Sansa. Beauty would not help them in this case. They were more or less canon fodder, but wild and unrelenting. An ax swung at Sansa, aiming to take a chunk out of her shoulder. The second barbarian simply tried to tackle Sumiko to the ground, having lost his weapon somewhere along the way. Perhaps in the back of a civilian.
Then, dramatically, a pair of white gloves fromed around Xen's hands.
Helios - C Triggers Upon Sight Fools the enemy into believing that either an intense wash of sun or moonlight is completely covering the battlefield, heavily reducing their vision and straining their eyes for a period of four posts. At this point, the best you would be able to see of the Samara is a brief blur every now and then.

As the single, unnamed and relatively unimportant barbarian charged at Sumiko, she simply sidestepped his awkward charge, spinning around to slap his back, leaving a single explosive tag on him. As he struggled to rip it off, it would explode, tearing open his back. That's all she felt like doing, because reasons.

VanZant could not believe it. The battle was raging on. More were joining and slaughtering. Is this what both of their people wanted? Is this the type of arrogance the world wanted? The ignorance and the slaughter? Is this the type that the innocent on both sides deserved? To see their loved ones come home? Dead? For what? Because they were good warriors at one point and time? Well if this is what the world wanted. She would give it to them. She would let them taste the destruction they so craved. Energy began to flow through her. She stored a great amount for an idea she had. Suddenly she activated this mode as she gains a cyan-coloured chakra shroud with six magatama markings on her collar, dark markings over her eyebrows and lower eyelids, and a single horn shaped like Kaguya's extending from her forehead. The shroud constantly radiates flickering flames of stamina, and his clothing and hair continuously billow upwards as if caught in a strong breeze.
Great Job Everyone. Now that we have seen the measure of your devotion and given you something to RP about, here is a brief synopsis of what occurs at the end of the battle and in the years to come. Unfortunately, we lost this battle and have to get saved by someone. And all of your NPC friends are basically dead. So there is that too. And your entire village is being closed. But you do all get D rank Credit. Synopsis: Despite the valiant efforts of the warriors of Amegakure and Uzushiogakure, they were no match for the barbarian onslaught. But, just as it seemed all hope was lost, the Shoguns and their armies appeared, drawing the barbarian's attention away from the villages. Before the barbarian armies could be surrounded, they ordered a retreat, leaving back across the borders, a path of devastation in their wake. The Hidden Villages were all but left in ruin. Only a handful of shinobi from both villages surviving what would become known as the Village Massacres. In the wake of this terrible plight, Amegakure and Uzushiogakure pool their resources, coming under one roof, and with the support of a powerful Shogun, begin to rebuild and rearm for the coming storm.
