Jeyan Hyuuga

┗━━━━━━━━━┛
"Immortality...

.... is SIEZED by the legendary."

████████████████████████████████████

As they neared the Cloud Dorms, it suddenly struck him where they were walking. He had left explosive insects in the Academy, likely to kill Shinobi. He was heading to the Cloud Dorms, where many Shinobi in the village resided. He was going there to harm Jeyan’s comrades. [Mission – Tailing the Terrorist 4/???]

At that moment, Jeyan’s mood changed. He had always known that, under combat circumstances, his father’s traits would come out in him. His heartbeat steadied, as if he were meant for combat. His Byakugan activated once more as he pulled a kunai knife out of his weapon pouch. ”It can’t be legal, what you’re about to do.” The man turned and faced him, revealing the same scars as at the Academy. [Tailing the Terrorist (Completed 4/4) New Mission – Capture the Terrorist 1/???]

The Gennin whipped his arm out, releasing the kunai at dangerous speeds. The terrorist performed a motion very similar to Jeyan’s and he swore he saw chakra in his palms. All of a sudden, brown insects like the ones at the Academy jumped from the man’s hand and exploded upon contact with the kunai. [Mission – Capture the Terrorist 2/???]

Jeyan was in for a squabble, no doubt. The man took several steps backwards and extended his hands once more. It was then that the Hyuuga realized what was on the terrorist’s palms. They were… tongues. How unsanitary. Not to mention they were filled with chakra. ”That can’t be right… Are those the things that are creating the explosive insects?” [Mission – Capture the Terrorist 3/???]

More insects jumped from the palms of the terrorist. The young Shinobi knew at that point to steer clear of the insects. If they made contact with their targets, they would detonate. Or maybe they detonated when the terrorist decided to detonate them. That would be a problem. [Mission – Capture the Terrorist 4/???]

With no handseals necessary to perform the technique, Jeyan muttered a handful of words. ”Bouseki Tate no Kaze.” A wall of wind formed in front of the Gennin. It rotated over and over again, sending the insects back toward the terrorist. It was then that he had his opening. [Mission – Capture the Terrorist 5/???]

The terrorist remained at a distance. Something Jeyan hated. There was something cowardly about opponents that stayed back and used distance as their advantage. It was smart, but cowardly. Because his mastery over Fuuton was so acute, Fuuton techniques didn’t require handseals. As a result, he could easily get the jump on his opponents. That was his plan. [Mission – Capture the Terrorist 6/???]

The terrorist knew he didn’t have time to have an open battle in the streets of Kumogakure. It was an easy way to get swarmed by the elite Shinobi of the village. So he extended his hands once more. However, it was taking longer to form the chakra insects than normal. That wasn’t a good sign, but Jeyan’s opening had come. [Mission – Capture the Terrorist 7/???]

As the terrorist prepared his next technique, the Gennin spoke once more. ”Fuuton: Shinkuutai Naihatsu.” The Air Pocket Bursts technique was originally used to knock opponents off balance. But Jeyan had different intentions. The air just around and inside the mouths on the terrorist’s palms began to implode. [Mission – Capture the Terrorist 8/???]

The attack was a perfect hit. The terrorist fell to the ground, staring into his palms as the tongues fell back into the mouth as if they were dead. His hands bled and he looked at Jeyan with anger. There was something that told the Hyuuga boy that, if he didn’t capture the terrorist soon, the Shinobi of the village would descend upon them. [Mission – Capture the Terrorist 9/???]

He began to pace toward the terrorist rather quickly. He removed his katana from its hilt as he neared his opponent. The man looked as if he had lost his children as he stared down at his hands. Tears were visible in his eyes. ”We’re running out of time. Explain yourself.” He was a Gennin of few words. He got straight to the point. [Mission – Capture the Terrorist 10/???]

The terrorist remained silent. He just sobbed over and over. Jeyan could hear his parents’ voices in his head, telling him not to be cruel, but not to show mercy. The man wasn’t going to explain himself, so it must have been for no reason. In a swift slash, Jeyan beheaded the man and left his body on the streets as he disappeared into the alleys. [Capture the Terrorist (Completed 10/10) New Mission – Escape 1/???]

As he backed into the shadows of the alleyways he watched as Shinobi from the Cloud Dorms arrived on the scene. He knew that they’d be on the hunt for the man’s killer. If they didn’t know the things he knew, it would seem as if he had murdered the terrorist. No, he had to go back to the Academy and finish cleaning. Then he had to find the Raikage. [Mission – Escape 2/???]

It seemed like no one was really worried about the dead body in the streets. But when Jeyan activated his Byakugan, he could see the unrest in the small chakra networks of the citizens of Kumo. He knew he had scared the people he was meant to protect. However, who knew what the terrorist was going to do? [Mission – Escape 3/???]

He had refused to talk when given the ability to speak, and everything sounded as if he was trying to kill people. There were explosives, creative by him, in the Academy that killed the nearest human, which happened to be one of Jeyan’s Wind Clones. Then he ran away when Jeyan confronted him. The Gennin continued to move through the shadows. [Mission – Escape 4/???]

The boy didn’t stop contemplating the situation as he left the area. The walk to the Academy gave him much needed time to think. His actions would be justified, and when he brought them up to the Raikage he would have to understand. There was a terrorist in their midst and there could still be more. If only he could have gotten the man to talk before he was interrupted. [Mission – Escape 5/???]

[Exit]

Chuunin | Cloud | Hatake -- Jiton

Toshiko walked in to the dorms holding the scroll containing her latest mission assignment. Since becoming Chuunin the workload didn't seem to get easier, but instead seemed to double, and some days even triple. This latest one was no exception. A construction team was repairing the foundation to the ninja dorms and found what appeared to be a small tunnel complex stretching underneath the village. They immediately reported it to higher ups and now her she stood, staring at a whole in a basement. The marks on the entrance appeared to be rough, meaning the tunnel was fresh, and whoever had made it was possibly still in it. Toshiko began to build chakra in her body and felt the sand in the gourd on her back swirl in response. In these close quarters she was going to need it.

"Iron Sand Style: Iron Sand Shell" She said, magnetizing her skin. The Iron Sand on her back poured out of the gourd on her back and formed a solid layer over top of her own skin. It wouldn't stop much but it would dull any blows she took in the dark. She slid into the tunnel and started working her way forward. The passage was small, but most people would be able to squeeze through it if they needed too. The deeper into the tunnel she got, the wider and smoother the tunnel seemed to get. After what seemed like an eternity of pulling herself along she came into a larger tunnel. The tunnel into the barracks was just one of many side avenues she could see. This central tunnel was marked every so often by small burning candles. She was now in the lion's den. A ninja could be in any of these dark tunnels and she wouldn't know it till she was right on top of them. She stepped out into the tunnel looking left, then right, trying to figure out which way was the starting point. She decided to head left, noticing that it went slightly uphill. She hadn't gone far when she heard what sounded like a rock hitting the ground. She spun around to face the side tunnel the noise had come from, raising her hand. Iron Sand poured from the gourd on her back forming into a small blade.

Moments after the blade appeared in her hand, an unknown assailant jumped form the tunnel and charged for with a kunai. He was fast to say the least, but he wasn't fighting any normal shinobi. Toshiko was even faster then most. With a flick of her wrist, she brought the blade up to deflect the kunai, then side stepped the shinobi, leaping out of his range if he spun to counter attack with his kunai. "Who are you? What is all this?" She yelled at the man. She tried to make out his face or some kind of headband, but the tunnel was just to dark. She was lucky to have even seen the flash of the kunai with only candle light. But that was an advantage for her too. It would mean that if either of them moved, they would be almost blind till they were right on top of each other. This wasn't going to be easy, and she still didn't know if this ninja had even more friends waiting in the tunnel. She held the blade in her right hand and began to build chakra in her left palm. She needed to end this quickly, she couldn't risk more appearing while this one was still alive. But it was odd, in all this time, the man had never yelled for help. He was under estimating her, thinking he could kill her easily. It would be his ultimate downfall however.

By now the chakra in her palm was growing to massive levels. Every now and then a bolt would arc out and into the wall of the tunnel, lighting it up bright as day for a few seconds. The man would not survive what was to come. Should have yelled for help when you had the chance, she thought to herself as the sound of hundreds of birds filled the tunnel. In her left palm appeared a brilliant cluster of lightening chakra. Toshiko braced herself then charged forward with nearly in human speed and only a Hatake could possess. "Chidori!". There was no way she could miss at this close range now that chidori had lit up the tunnel, and the man no where to run. Toshiko flicked the blade in her right hand in front of her to knock the man's kunai away as he tried to bring it in a downward arc in to her skull and slammed her right palm in the center of his chest, knocking him backwards, a massive whole in his chest. Even though the jutsu had ended, electricity still arced across the man's chest wound, occasionaly causing the tunnel to be filled with light. Toshiko leaned against a wall for a second to catch her breath. She had never used such a powerful move in battle. Nor had she ever been forced to take a life to save her own. She moved forward now, almost running. Anyone in the tunnel would have surely heard that noise, and she needed to make sure that this time she was somewhere with more light if she was going to have to fight more people. She doubted that the man had done all of this alone and was already storing chakra across her body for the coming storm.

The tunnels seemed to stretch on for miles, breaking off in to large central chambers at times with even more tunnels breaking off from them. Undaunted, Toshiko continued her forward advance till she at last came to the main central chamber it seemed. Crates of mining tools were piled all over the room and torches lit all the walls. And the man in the center of the room.
"So, it was you who made all that noise? You've caused me a pretty big problem you know that? You've seen my operation down here, so now I have to kill you." The words had barely escaped his mouth when he began to charge forward, bringing a katana in a powerful downward arc aimed to cut Toshiko in half it seemed. She still held the blade she had made in the previous fight and brought it up to block the attack.

One thing became quickly apparent, this wasn't going to as easy as the last fight. This man's speed and strength were incredible. The blow struck Toshiko's blade and shattered it as if made of wood. But Toshiko used this to her advantage. The shards of the blade began to reform as the man recoiled and prepared his next strike. Toshiko prayed that the iron shell she made before this began was strong enough to eat one attack before it dissolved, she needed more time if she was going to pull this off. The blade came down, slamming into her right shoulder with incredible force, but the shell held for the time being. "Iron Sand Style: Iron Pellet Cannon" The shards had by now reformed in to a solid ball of metal that now hurled itself and slammed into the man at point blank ranged. He reacted out of instinct when it came back around for a second shot and jumped back several feet, giving Toshiko some much need space. She let the pellet fire for a second time and began to prepare her next move, trying to stay one step ahead of her opponent. He was clearly eitehr a Taijutsu or Weapon based ninja, so she couldn't afford for him to get any closer. She needed to set the pace of battle, not this man.

"Lightning Release" Lightning Beam Technique!" A powerful beam of lightning leapt out of Toshiko's hand and barreled towards the ninja. His speed was just what Toshiko was expecting. However, the other ninja was not expected what came next. As the beam rocketed past him, much of its power arced into him. He would be stunned for at least another minute, which was all the time Toshiko would need to end this. She brought her arm level with the man and placed the pellet she had made between her thumb and index finger. Power arced all over her arm and the metal in the room began to slide towards her as she built up energy in her arm. She was about to show this man the ultimate move of the Jiton Clan, a move that most never lived to tell of afterwards. "Jiton: Railgun" She flicked her thumb and ended the mans life. In his stunned state, there was no way his body had enough motor control to move, let alone dodge this shot. The pellet caught him in the chest and near sonic speeds, blowing apart his torso and sending the rest of him in to the far wall with such force it knocked him through it in to an adjacent tunnel and collapsed it on him. The blast however also shook the cavern so much that some of the other minor tunnels began to cave in.

Toshiko scanned the room as quickly as she could, looking for some way out. She spotted a small sliver of light coming from behind a door and took off sprinting for it. It was easier said then done. She had used a lot of chakra in that fight and body was sore and ached, particularly her right shoulder that had enduring a blunted impact. She ignored the pain and pushed on. She reached the door, pushing it open, slipping out before the cavern behind her crumbled, sealing it, and anyone left in it within. Clutching her shoulders, Toshiko began the long walk back to the Mission board, and then possibly to the hospital.

Techniques in use:

Raiton: Raikou Kousen no Jutsu (Lightning Release: Lightning Beam Technique)
Description: This is the pinnacle of the single-target ranged lightning jutsu. The attack from Lightning Blast has been upgraded further, making it into a beam twice as wide as before, and much more damaging. Targets hit head-on with this jutsu will experience a fantastic amount of pain and be stunned after the jutsu ends. Also, nearly missing with this jutsu also has some effect. Because of the high amount of voltage, small lightning bolts can arc from the beam to someone standing within two feet of it, causing shocks a little bit more damaging than those of Lightning Bolt technique. This jutsu can be ended prematurely by the user.

• Iron Sand Style: Iron Pellet Cannon C Rank
The user now has enough control to create a pellet with relative ease and has learned to use magnetic forces to hurl the pellet large distances with incredible speed. This can also be used to propel kunai one at a time.

• Iron Sand Style: Basic Weapon Creaton Technique C Rank
The user has learned enough about Iron Sand usage to try their hand at basic weapon creation. These weapons aren't much better then any standard equipment that any other ninja carries into battle, however since they are made of Iron Sand, the weapons can be quickly rearranged and reformed to fit the user's exact needs. With the exception of small projectiles however, created objects must stay close to the user, lest their electromagnetic field fail and they turn into a pile of sand on the ground once more.

• Iron Sand Style: Iron Sand Shell A Rank
The user coats their skin in a thin layer of Iron Sand, granting them slightly higher resistance to physical strikes. This shell however can only sustain a limited number of strikes and requires constant chakra to maintain. -1 rank to all Taijutsu/Weapon Styles used against the user while this is active.

• Iron Sand Style: Railgun S Rank
The user places a small object between their thumb and forefinger, almost as if they are going to flip a coin. But instead of simply flipping a coin, the user super chargers their arm with incredible amounts of electricity, using the thumb as a focal point to transfer the power to the object. Upon transfer, the object accelerates at massive speeds, damaging anything in its path. It is however, a very small object and easily avoided given prior warning or a high enough speed rating.

Chidori: A rank
This technique channels a large amount of lightning chakra to the user's hand. The amount of chakra is so great that it becomes visible. The high concentration of electricity produces a sound reminiscent of many birds chirping, hence the name. Once the technique is completed, the user charges forward and thrusts the Chidori into the target, increasing their speed for the duration of this attack by 1. This produces heavy amounts of damage that is usually fatal. This technique is classified as an assassination technique because of the speed at which it is performed, despite the loud noise it produces.

Chuunin | Cloud | Hatake -- Jiton

Toshiko stood staring at the basement of the Kumo Dorms. The basement was entirely sealed off once more and no sign of the tunnel remained. She had been instructed to do a full survey of the area to discover if there was any other ways in or out of the tunnels without and decided to start at the most obvious location, to check and see if the would be invaders had redug the tunnel complext directly under the building again. she knelt down and ran her fingers over the smooth concrete. It felt firm enough and she couldn't see any location where it had shifted, so she could only assume that this tunnel was long since abandoned. For good measure, she drove her foot into the concrete with all of her might. She was rewarding with a sore heal and a bruised ego. She began to climb the stairs out of the basement and out of the dorms.

She circled around and began the long trek to the main entrance of the tunnel compound. She hadn't fully realized just how far the tunnels stretched when she was underground till she had to walk back the first time. It stretched and curved all the way to an almost empty part of the village. Here and there a few scattered huts were built haphazardly and children ran around unchecked. Moving aside some brush and other debris she used to hid the main door into the tunnels, Toshiko was shocked to see that all of the rubble had been removed. In the few days since she had been gone, they had totally rebuilt this entire area and even replaced the torches with light bulbs. Sections of the ground even had railroad track laid to move the dirt. Her previous interference hadn't slowed them down at all, but instead caused them to speed up their efforts. She turned to run and get help and stopped dead in her tracks. From out of the huts had emerged three shinobi, all wielding a variety of weapons and one flashing handsigns.

The two with weapons moved back and the one flashing handsigns stepped forward. Toshiko reacted out of pure instinct. An Iron Sand shell covered her entire body as he let lose a bolt of lightning. It struck Toshiko right in the chest, but the armor caused it to spread across her entire body and most arced off harmlessly into the ground. It was her turn now. She was willing to fight fire with fire, or in this case, raiton with raiton. She flashed a short set of seals and raised her palm level with the man. "Raiton: Lightning Beam," she said as a beam shot out of her hand and straight at the man. He held his hand up as if to cast his own beam, but was caught off guard by its speed. The beam caught him straight in the chest, launching him into the building behind him. Energy arced from his body, but he still managed to stand up. Somehow this guy ate a full force attack and was getting back. He was unreal. Toshiko had no choice but to end this quickly. Iron sand now poured from the gourd on her back and saturated the field. The man came forward and was instantly caught up in the sand. "Iron Sand Style: Iron Sand Coffin," she yelled as the sand twisted and swirled around him, trapping him in a solid cocoon of sand. She made sure to cover the mans head and left him there to suffocate, she didn't have time to waste her energy on crushing him.

She turned to the other ninja just in time to see one of them charging towards her, and jump to the side, avoiding the point of his kunai by inches. He had used his friends death to get close to her. What kind of heartless monsters was she dealing with. She twisted in flight, slamming her palm in mid air to adjust her flight patch and began to build chakra in her opposite hand, invisioning a sword in it. Just as it always had, the sand responded, forming a nearly razor sharp blade of Iron Sand. By now the man had spun around and was aiming an arcing slash at her torso. She brought her blade level with the slash, deflecting it up and away from her body, countering with a swift kick aimed to catch the shinobi off guard and off balance. Her foot connected, but pain and vibrations shot up her leg as if she had just kicked an oak tree. During the time she was recoiling from the shock, the man had grabbed her ankle and was bringing the kunai down at highspeed, aiming to cut off her leg in one swift move. She hoped the shell she had created would withstand this as it had withstood the katana in her previous encounter. She brought her one free hand up and signed very quickly. "Raiton: Burst Jutsu" Her whole body suddenly released a massive pulse of Raiton, enough to shock the man into letting go her leg and enough to cause his kunai to only glance the surface of her shell. She had survived for a moment longer it seemed. She spun free of the stunned man and brought her blade down in an arc designed to free the man's head of his shoulders and was rewarded with the sound of his head hitting the ground and the smell of the man's blood dripping from her sword. She was getting sick and tired of all these goons.

She turned to the last one of the men she had seen and saw him slowly walking towards her. in one hand he held a katana, in the other was a curved kunai. She looked over at the Iron Sand Coffin and noticed that the man within had finally stopped struggling and released it. His limp body impacted the ground as the sand left his body. She returned her attention to the coming threat. If he really was a weapon master, she was going to need every trick she could come up with. She started by covering the ground once more in sand. If the man was paying attention to his friends downfall he would know better then to stand still or stay in any one area for very long. Toshiko knew the only way she was going to walk out of there was by keeping him moving and hoping that he messed up. She was next to useless at close range against a weapon master. He would cut her shell to pieces and she couldn't hope to match his level of mastery with close range weaponery. But he had no range. She released control over her blade and let it merge with the sand already part of her shell. She formed a short set of seals and raised her palm at the man. "Raiton: Electron Jutsu," she said and a ball of raiton shot out of her palm, corkscrewing through the air at the man. The erratic flight path ment that he wouldn't be able to dodge until it was right on top of him, giving Toshiko more time to build chakra for other techniques.

While the ball sped towards its intended target, Toshiko stood in total silence in a state of near zen like meditation. She was channeling one of the strongest raiton ninjutsu in exsistence, the lightning sage technique. She sent gentle waves of raiton directly into her own muscle fibers and all across her skin. She opened her eyes and saw the man had dodged the ball of energy and was already counter attacking at insane speeds. But they were now on a level playing field. Toshiko side stepped his slashes and jumped towards the amassed field of sand. She needed to keep him her domain if this was going to end in her favor. The man seemed surprised for the shortest instance at how much her speed had increased in just a minute. He must have been watching her fight the other man and noticed her being much slower, but as long as she was in this stage it was going to be a much different story. Toshiko was ready for his next charge, pulling out a kunai to deflect his slash as she once again side stepped him. Spinning to face him, she pulled out even more kunai and launched them at him to buy herself some more time. Flashing five simple handsigns and stalk her palm towards the ground, building a massive amount of chakra, waiting for the man's next move. He had lazily deflected her kunai and was running towards her now. It was a bad idea for the man. All his work chasing her had tired him down. He was visibly tired and his movements were sluggish. Toshiko's palm erupted in pure raiton chakra as he neared. The man froze dead in tracks, in awe at what he was seeing. Toshiko used this brief instant to close the distance between them, aiming her plam directly at the mans heart. Her palm sunk in to his skin like a hot knife in butter, covering her fingers in his warm blood. It ran down her arm and dipped from her elbow. She stood there for a moment in total silence.

She pushed the man's body off her hand and surveyed the scene. It was a horrific sight. One body was covered in bruises from the prison, another lay feet from its head, and the final one was missing a chunk from his chest. And all of this before she had even entered the tunnels once more to clear them out. She had wasted too much fighting these fools. She gripped the last kunai from her pouch and walked into the tunnel. Any trace that she had ever been there the first time had been removed. Instead of the rough stone walls, there were bricks and mortars. The railway tracks on the ground were brand new and could see crates in the distance. And in that moment, her heart sank. The boxes were all marked with the letters TNT on the side. Every side tunnel she found was filled with them to the ceiling. They weren't digging tunnels for an invasion, they were going to wipe the village off the face of the planet in one spectacular explosion.

"Impressive isn't it?" said a muffled voice. She spun around to see a masked man standing there. She immediatly recognized him and an overwhelming fear took over her. The man she was face to face with was the old Anbu captain, who had been relieved of his command for using what was cited as extreme methods. And he had chosen the most extreme form of payback. And now he stood between her and the exit. She could barely control herself. Her knees shook, all the color drained from her face and she couldn't speak due to the terror. red]"Now, sadly you have seen far to much to simply leave. My preparations are not yet complete, so this is going to be your coffin now." He charged forward with immense speed, and it was in this moment Toshiko remembered she was still in lightning sage. He was getting very close now, so Toshiko jumped backwards, throwing her last kunai right at him to alter his course. Sand poured from her back and filled the narrow tunnel. As he neared he aimed his fist and threw a punch with immense speed and power that caught Toshiko in the cheek, knocking her through the air but not before he charged into the mass of Iron Sand. She had him right where she wanted. "Iron Sand Coffin" Just was with the man outside, the sand around him quickly contricted. She made sure he saw and heard what was coming next. "You listen here alright. I'm sick and tired of you and your henchmen digging tunnels in MY village. I'm sick of all this fighting and killing. And I'm sick of you. Rest in Peices b***h." She raised her arm took aim straight at his head. Power surged through her entire arm and a small sliver of iron sand formed a pellet between her fingers. The air began to hum with the dull roar of electricty as she gathered more and more until she finally unleashed it. The blast caught him square in the head, but the coffin absorbed most of the impact and stopped his head from recoiling, causing the force of the impact to liquify it. She left him in a puddle on the ground and left that evil place for what she prayed was the last time. She picked up one of the shattered chips and brought it with her as proof of what she had done.

Jeyan Hyuuga

┗━━━━━━━━━┛
"Immortality...

.... is SIEZED by the legendary."

████████████████████████████████████

Jeyan came home to his dorm and sat down upon his bed. He hadn’t felt like himself in months. Ever since he had murdered the terrorist in the streets outside the dorm, his body had felt weak. His mind wasn’t operating at its normal capacity. He removed his Chuunin belt and his beloved headband and sat it on the desk beside him. After that, Jeyan removed his sheath and all of his scrolls. Just as he laid back and closed his eyes, his door was blown open with a huge gust of wind. The Chuunin dove out of his position and grabbed his katana, only to feel a boot stop down upon it. When his eyes looked up, the Hyuuga took in the visage of the three entities. Masks. Each with a different animal design upon them. ”ANBU!” The boot stomped him in the face, knocking him unconscious.

When his eyes opened up, Jeyan’s arms were tied behind him and he was strapped to a wooden chair. His legs were tied as well. When the light shined upon him it gave the Chuunin a major headache. He flinched in the face of the bulb and the ANBU Black Op entered his field of vision. ”Where am I?” The Shinobi grabbed his mask and removed it, revealing the face of the terrorist Jeyan had murdered a year before. Before the Weapon’s Specialist could speak, his mouth was sealed shut by the man’s hand. The tongue on his palm licked Jeyan’s lips, triggering his gag reflex. How disgusting could someone be? ”There’s a lot you need to learn, young Shinobi.” He removed his hand from Saedo’s lips, throwing the seventeen-year-old into a fit. ”We’re in a Genjutsu right now, so even if you’d like to leave you can’t. I have a message I must give you. From your father.” That was all it took to quiet Jeyan down. There was no wind in the Genjutsu world. So he was at the man’s mercy.

”My name is Ishmael, and I’m from the South.” The South was a land that Jeyan knew very little about. He didn’t even know there was much land below Fire Country and the Islands of the Hidden Mist. ”I met your father during his travels through my homeland. I was taking my leave from my mercenary work and I ran into him while at an inn. We hit it off, telling stories about our adventures both in and out of the Shinobi world. It wasn’t until he brought up having a child that I became curious.” ”What do you mean?” ”He spoke about you as if he regretted something in relation to you. So I followed up with some questions and informed him that I was coming to Kumogakure for a job. A job in which you interrupted.”

”You were about to bomb the academy!” ”I was not. I expected you to be relatively young because your father looks like a young man. So I sent my bugs into the academy to look for someone that fit his description of you. When you interrupted me, I cast my Genjutsu on you while you were looking into my face. Why else would I stare at you for so long?” He actually hadn’t thought about the fact that he had made direct eye contact with the man. It could have only meant that the “terrorist” had Ranmaru’s Eyes, to have kept him under such a powerful Genjutsu for so long. ”How it happened doesn’t matter. Nor does what I was doing in Kumo. Your father, Haku Ikeza, sent me here to inform you that you are to take the legacy of the Hyuuga Clan into your hands. Your mother has grown sick and they fear that you have become the most prominent Hyuuga in Lightning Country. This whole elaborate situation has been me trying to hone your ability to combat the Ranmaru’s Eyes, the biggest weakness of a Hyuuga clansman. And I can feel my grasp over your mind weakening. You’re finally escaping… Best wishes from your father Jeyan.”

Jeyan blinked and was thrown back into his bed. His body immediately felt as he hadn’t felt in so long. He was out of the Genjutsu and had grown atleast some affinity for defeating Ranmaru’s Eyes. The next step was to go further into his studies of the Hyuuga Clan. Only then would he be capable of blowing through the next obstacle and unlocking his Neo Byakugan. Now that the yearlong ordeal had been handled the Chuunin could finally get some rest. He would need it.

In a Shinobi’s life, they always faced adversity. They were forged in adversity and trained to face it head on using the abilities they have inherited and learned through their lives. A Shinobi was a tool to the country, to be used for whatever the country needed. That was Jeyan’s mindset. And for much of his young life, he was a tool being forged to take on and cut through adversity. His entire life was set up to become perfect for Lightning Country. The perfect weapon that they could call upon at any given time to perform any task. From a hammer to a scalpel. From a blade to a shield. But things changed. His father had informed him that his life was meant to serve the illustrious Hyuuga Clan. Apparently they weren’t as illustrious as he had thought if he was one of the few Hyuuga’s in the vicinity of Lightning Country. As he lay in his bed in the Cloud Dorms, Jeyan experienced an internal conflict as he lay in a resting state.

Two figures stood before one another. It was easy to tell that they were exact replicas of one another. Or so it seemed at first glance. Instead, one was Jeyan. Purplish hair and the pale eyes of the Hyuuga Clan. Yes, his Byakugan was active. His counterpart looked eerily similar. He was tall. Over six feet. He was fit and dressed in a dark cloak. As the cloak blew in the wind, three village headbands were visible. A Kusagakure headband, a Kumogakure headband and a Takigakure headband, although Takigakure had long faded into history. The man’s eyes oozed with chakra as well. One was an advanced version of the Byakugan, but the other was a Ranmaru’s Eye. For several moments the two just stared at one another. Then the elder of the two males spoke. ”My son, Jeyan. It is good to see you’ve finally found the chakra I had sealed within you.” His voice was warm. Like Jeyan had waited his entire life to hear the man’s words. ”I’ve always worried about you, not being in your life like this. I always fear that I’ll receive a letter from your mother that you’ve been killed during a mission or a war. To think I allowed you to take on a life such as that.” Jeyan went to speak but no words escaped his lips. ”Don’t fret, my son. I’ll allow you to speak in due time. I know it’s incredible for me to be talking to you right now and I know that my messenger found you and I know that you have lots and lots of questions but allow me to inform you of what I must, beforehand.”

”I’ll first inform you of why I left you when you were younger. I wanted you to become a Shinobi. But I didn’t want you to go into it with the glorified idea of what being a Shinobi was. When you see me, I know you see a strong man in his forties. Someone who made history when he was your age and fought with and alongside the men and women you now consider legends. I didn’t want that for you. I think you have learned the cruel realities of life as a Shinobi. Since you’ve come to Kumogakure I can imagine that you’ve experienced combat and death and all of those things that no one will tell you about being a Shinobi. And I needed to get away for a while. I needed to see that the world wasn’t just young men and women killing one another for a Shogun cooped up in a palace somewhere. And I’m glad I’ve found that.” At that point he had learned of everything his father was talking about. It made perfect sense and he did my blame the man for leaving him at such a young, undeveloped age. What he was more curious about was the whole Hyuuga Clan situation. His father’s “mind clone” must have been thinking the same thing Jeyan was become that was the next subject he brought into the light.

”About the Clan…” Jeyan nodded furiously. That was all he could do without his voice. ”I know it’s a bombshell. And I know you don’t really consider yourself apart of the Hyuuga Clan as a whole.” That was the first thing his father had said that wasn’t exactly spot on. He did in fact consider himself apart of the Hyuuga Clan. He took pride in his mother’s ancestry and his mother’s mastery of the Byakugan was one of the things he admired about her the most. He loved the Hyuuga culture. ”You must understand, my son. From how your mother describes the situation, the Hyuuga Clan is as fragmented as it has ever been. When I was younger, the elder Hyuuga clansmen made sure the youth, no matter the village they were from, had friendly relations with one another and could count on their cousins no matter what the situation. Now, I wouldn’t put it past one of your “cousins” to murder you in cold blood in the name of Fire, Grass or Water Country. Everyone is so preoccupied with their allegiances that they’ve forgotten the one allegiance they were born with: family.” Just as he finished his sentence, the clone of Haku began to faze in and out of appearance. ”I can see my time is almost up. I implanted my chakra into you many other times, to be triggered when your chakra is abnormal or when it reaches a certain capacity. This won’t be the last time you hear from your father. And when you’re older, I’ll come back for you. But remember, your duty is with the Hyuuga Clan first, then the Hidden Cloud village. I expect for you to begin to take measures to unite your Clan.”

Only when the clone had completely dispersed did Jeyan’s eyes open and did he realize what he had just been tasked to do. He had become one with himself while speaking with his father. Something he had always wanted to do since Haku had went on his expedition. The mission of mastering one’s self had been completed, for the time being. He had a more important one to complete, though. And it would require him to increase his strength to complete.

A tall and thin male roamed the halls of the dorms, waking up after a long sleep. His head hurt. His lungs hurt. His...everything hurt.

This meant things were normal. He was unable to really feel healthy, but his mind remained sturdy as ever. Kozo Sato was now a genin in the military of Kumogakure. His headband shone brightly, wrapped around forehead in a traditional manner. Kozo wore fairly plain clothes, with the exception of a black shirt that buttoned up somewhere on the side.

With a cough, he retreated back into his room and left the door open, willing to invite anybody in who wanted to enter. The young male popped open a book, reading and becoming instantly enthralled.

Maybe it was okay because there is a format to be used for this post, but Hyun-Jae was already doing another mission. She had decided to take the easy way out of life and pay for power instead of taking the time to actually go and learn things herself. After her last job (mostly due to the mean black eye she had), Jae felt she deserved a chance to relax. So when she went to choose a mission she chose one even a pleb could handle; delivering mail. She strolled through the streets of Kumogakure, glad for the day being nice, and haphazardly brought letters and scrolls and packages to the correct place. A large bag was slung over her shoulder, it contained all sorts parcels. Slender fingers gripped some sort of box and hefted it out. With very little care Hyun-Jae checked the address with the building she was standing before and nodded her head. She chucked the box like a frisbee at the door and kept on moving, shoving letters through mail slots and occasionally into the wrong mailbox. Jae's mind was far away from this trivial job. It was on the future and the past. She was remembering the days when she lived in Konoha as a younger girl, days when life was much easier. It wasn't that she led a different lifestyle. In fact she had known she would be a kunoichi from a very young age. Her ability to tap into the Byakugan coupled with honed fighting prowess practically destined her for the life. Maybe it was the naivety that came with being a child, but Hyun-Jae had actually been excited to be a ninja. A derisive snort issued forth from the girl as she mishandled yet another box, dropping it from too high a height and eliciting a crash of some sorts from within. It fell on deaf ears though, for Jae was far too absorbed in her own thoughts. Back in those days she had believed someone else would be by her said, fighting with her, living with her, and experiencing life with her. A somber look crossed her face, those memories were too painful to recall.

Hyun-Jae reached into the bag and found herself groping at empty air. She stopped walking and opened the sack up, peering inside. The smile she had been growing wiped away when she beheld a final letter. A curiosity bubbled from somewhere and Jae found herself oddly interested in this missive. Maybe it was coincidence, maybe it was some greater power following a path already set, maybe it was Maybelline. Whatever it was it had Jae reading the front of the letter. In very neat and fancy hand writing she read these lines.

                                "From: Totally not Shane

To: Totally not Hinata, the apple of my eye"

Jae found herself blushing at the raw confession penned on the envelope. In her hands she held the physical representation of someone's love to another. It was like a great weight was pressing upon her, it was her duty to make sure ti was delivered correctly. Dark eyes quickly scanned the address and into the Dorms Hyun went. Room 2D was what she was looking for, and in no time at all she found it. Jae bent at the waist and pushed the tip of the envelope through the bottom of the door, pausing just a moment. She bunched up all her cosmic love juice and sent it to this totally not Shane in hopes that his love became mutual. With one last glance Jae pushed it through, turning on her heels and giving herself a mental pat on the back. Hopefully someone's day would be made.

A letter sneaked its way into Tsuki's apartment, and the jounin, who had been studying a scroll until she was disturbed, lifted her head at the noise the sealed paper made on its way through the crack between the door and the floor. The girl stood from the dining table she had been studying at and walked timidly to the envelope on the floor.

She crouched to pick up and read the envelope. A blush furiously spread across her face as she saw what was written on the outside. Even to someone who paid as little attention to matters of love as Tsuki, the confession on the envelope was as obvious as day. In her usual timid nature, Tsuki's first reaction was to fumble the letter as she fell over backwards from the surprise. What was she supposed to do? The envelope was addressed to her room but it was clearly not meant for her.

In a sudden moment of clarity, Tsuki picked herself and the letter off the ground. She swiveled, dashing to pick up her keys and then charging straight back to her door, which she barged through while shouting a strained, "W-wait!" in her best attempt at a loud voice that wasn't too loud. When she saw that there was someone further down the hallway that looked like she could have been the one assigned to deliver letters, Tsuki shouted another strained, "Wait!" at the stranger as she ran to her, "This isn't meant for me!".

It was more the sound of a door crashing open then Tsuki's poor excuse for a shout that drew Hyun-Jae's attention. She spun around on her heels and issued a rather inarticulate "Wuh?" before beholding the small girl before her. She had to be like ten and didn't even seem to pass the five foot marker. Not only that, but it looked like Jae could straight up toss this girl like a sack of potatoes. What the heck was a kid like that doing in these dorms? Hyun-Jae could have sworn she heard the girl say the letter had been delivered to the wrong address. Doubt crossed her face and Jae gave the little girl an incredulous look. She romped back over to the dorm room and grabbed the letter from the girl, rereading the address. "Nah, see here? That's your address. So you must be...totally not Hinata." A huge grin spread across Hyun-Jae's face and her eyes gleamed with mischievous intent. "Looks like someone's got the hots for you, eh? Good luck with that." Jae said, playfully punching at the girl's shoulder. Obviously Tsuki was wrong, who the hell wrote a love letter and then sent it to the wrong address? Not feeling totally sure of herself, Hyun-Jae stood in place with the letter clutched in her hands. A split second decision crossed her mind and before she could stop herself she was opening the letter. Maybe if she read a few lines out loud the girl would see it was for her. "Alright listen. Ahem: My dearest completely not Hinata, just the thought of you sends a shiver down my body. I quiver at the mere image of your lips. How I yearn to reach down and have your-" Jae suddenly stopped talking as her eyes opened widely. She looked at the letter and raised a single eyebrow, leaning to the side and gazing at the girl before her. Sometimes there were some pretty androgynous people out there, but something told Hyun that this girl was indeed, a girl. Therefore, the letter could not possibly be for her. Hyun-Jae forced out a laugh and rapidly folded up the letter, tucking it back into the envelope and sealing it once more. "So...maybe it isn't for you. But we can't just leave it at that! Totally not Shane is depending on the good people of the Mailing service to deliver his love to this other guy! We have to find him." Hyun-Jae totally drafted Tsuki into this mission without bothering to ask if she was interested. She railroaded the girl and steered her towards the exit by her shoulders.

Tsuki could see the doubt crossing Jae's face and she tried to respond to it but all she could make her mouth do was have it open and close like a fish out of water. She wanted to deny what the older woman said, but it was taking all her effort just to breathe. Not because she was tired or anything. She was still a shinobi for crying out loud. She could probably run for a mile without feeling tired. It was just everything else. She had mistakenly received a love letter that wasn't meant for her and Jae seemed convinced that it was and didn't give Tsuki a single chance to say a thing.

Tsuki couldn't decide whether she should interrupt the other kunoichi and how to do so politely if she so chose to. One moment, she was shaking her head furiously while searching for a nice way to say no that wouldn't cause any offense. The next moment, the letter was being read out loud and Tsuki was flailing her arms about wildly in a failed attempt to signal that she really wasn't totally not Hinata.

At the end of the few lines that were red, Tsuki's blush had gone from furious to painting her face completely red. The older woman was piecing everything together, and Tsuki didn't want to interrupt. Finally, at long last, she found her chance and all she could say was, "You shouldn't have read that out loud!" as she was steered to the exit. Not finding the will in herself to go against the flow created by Jae, she accepted her fate and worried, "Now what are we going to do? That was a love letter, wasn't it? But it was opened and read by someone it wasn't meant to be read by."

Hyun-Jae shot Tsuki a less than friendly look when she was told that the letter should have remained sealed. Clearly Jae had opened it so they could be sure. If not, what would have poor Totally not Shane have done? He would have been left to wonder if definitely not Hinata reciprocated his feelings for ages and days. "No, it wasn't a love letter. It was a booty call. And if I didn't read it, how the hell would we know who to look for?" Jae explained with a smirk on her face. Hopefully her work trying to deliver the letter would bring two together. There had been more to the letter -- way more -- that described this totally not Hinata fellow. By memory, Jae began to recite it. "Your eyes are brown pools of chocolate, your skin as smooth as untouched butter. I love the totally not gay but metrosexual hightlights in your raven colored hair." Hyun-Jae had chosen a completely smitten and even a little heady voice to recite that in. She was busting out with laughter by the end of it and leaning heavily on Tsuki. Maybe the girl would catch a whiff of the lingering scent of alcohol, it hadn't been too long since Jae had escaped her one night stand's home. On top of that, maybe she carried a flask around for time in between bar hopping and club bouncing. Once she was done having a row Hyun righted herself and continued onward. "Now we just have to find a brown eyed, black haired, highlighted, pale dude named totally not Hinata. How hard can that be?" Jae said with a clear confidence to her. Even if they ended up wandering around aimlessly for the next five hours she wouldn't mind. This mission was far too important now, she would not give in.

At first, there was no retort from Tsuki to Jae. Not because she couldn't think of one, though. Oh no. Tsuki didn't think Jae's reasoning was right. She believed that the name totally not Hinata was unique enough to begin with to require no description to further specify the letter's recipient. That aside, what was the importance of the letter being a booty call and not a love letter? Tsuki did not know. However, the less than friendly look she got from the taller woman and the following smirk frightened the small kunoichi into silence and she quietly listened to Jae's recitation of the letter with apprehension and diligence. She didn't quite agree with the older ninja's methods but she wasn't going to be so unreasonably stubborn as to benefit from what has already been done. She was taught to be better than that and a year of traveling with a certain wild sannin had accustomed Tsuki to going with the flow of decisions she found too reckless or did not otherwise agree with.

Only after Jae started laughing and leaning on her did Tsuki feel that she had a chance to speak. She caught a whiff of alcohol from Jae as Tsuki drew up her courage, which hindered the drive long enough for Jae to get herself off the small girl. She suddenly wondered if arguing with a drunk person was such a great idea. She imagined them to be freakishly violent at worst, but she'd also experienced drunks who weren't all that different from their usual selves; minus, of course, the lack of intelligence and control. Tsuki didn't know if she should risk provoking Jae or simply let her words and actions slide as drunken mistakes.

However, once Jae asked a question (rhetorical or not) Tsuki decided all at once to take a blind leap. She squeaked out, "We could have found him with just the name totally not Hinata! I mean, how common can that name be? I bet there's..." The smaller kunoichi's courage clearly did not last long, as her second sentence quickly dipped into uncertainty and fear and she failed to finish even her third sentence, which was meant to express that Tsuki doubted that there was more than one person in the village with the name totally not Hinata.

Suddenly feeling herself in between a rock and a very hard place, Tsuki executed a tactic she had learned during the last two years as very helpful in these situations: just keep swimming (or moving). This time giving Jae no time to respond to her disagreement, Tsuki rushed forwards and out of the complex with the excuse, "Never mind, let's start looking for totally not Hinata." Her arms swung mechanically at her sides as her legs walked with long, hurried strides that probably weren't really all that long or hard to keep up for the significantly taller Jae.

Exit (or not? I'm willing to change this if the situation calls for it)

Remi and Dani Tsuizu

So you think you have what it takes...

Remi and Dani Tsuizu walked into the dormatories and just looked in disgust at the state of the building. Remi grabbed a broom and Dani grabbed some rags and began cleaning the windows. After many hours of sweeping, mopping, wiping, dusting, and so much more the rooms actually looked clean. Every inch of the room got cleaned and then the next room was started on. Same thing happened there as well. After they finished every room in the place they nodded to each other and began the treck back to the Raikage's office.
...Then think again.
