I'm super exited about the upcoming TLOZ game for Wii U, and since it was announced there's been a lot of speculations and expectations about it. Looks like what fans are most excited about is the fact we're having an "open world" game this time. 3nodding 3nodding 3nodding I read here how Miyamoto explains what "open world" meant for this game and I have to say it sounds good. The fact to have a lot of things to explore/do will actually make the game feel more complete, but still I really hope this game to be just a bit more challenging (specially the boss fights). New items would be nice too though I'm not sure if the game should stick to rent items just as ALBW. (and if they brought back the Spinner, it would be awesome! Stalord battle is one of my favorites!) Anyway, what are your thoughts on this? What do you expect to be in this new Zelda game? (my gammar may not be the best but I try hard, English is not my native language sweatdrop )

I'm not against the spinner returning, but I would like to see it have more purpose.
This goes for a lot of items, actually, but I'll use the spinner as an example. Outside of spinner puzzles and a spinner tracks, what do we do with a spinner? Nothing, really. It's a bit of a 1 trick pony. It turns. It turns gears, or it turns on a track. It doesn't even really have much combat functionality after Stallord. It's never easier to use the spinner than the sword after that battle.
I liked how all of the items remained useful in Skyward Sword. There was even some reason to use the sling shot after you got the arrows. Some people complained that reducing the number of items and having them upgrade instead robbed them of the suspense and thrill of finding new items... But those people have played a lot of zelda games, right? (how else would they get this expectation?) How exciting and suspenseful is it to find another bow? another slingshot? Yeah there are the new items and you get excited about your new loot, but it's not very exciting if, like so many dungeon items, it has a very limited and specific use.
So I hope they don't take the dumb complaints to heart and they focus on making the items you do get more useful, and thereby more satisfying to use.
I also honestly don't get the gripe with motion controls. People just aren't used to doing new things, I guess.

I hope they don't go crazy with all the special weapons Link gets so that they all stay useful in the game.

I'm honestly hoping there will be, and I hope I don't get hit for saying it, An adventure of Skyrim-esque proportions. Not saying I want a Zelda re-skin for Skyrim or anyything, but that's what I think of when I hear Open world adventure. Go where you want, find side quests, don't so ANY quests and just piss around with random dungeons that may or may not have relevant payoff. I unno.
As far as Items, I do want the basics, but more at the same time. More and unique items isn't necessarily a bad thing, but as Kegan already said, Don't give me another dang spinner. Let me have an item that will continue to be useful in some regard beyond the place where I got it. Even the Spikeball and chain had it's uses! Dont have bombs to bomb a wall? Spikeball.
Last thing, Bomb arrows need to come back to stay. Those were soooo satisfying to use. 3nodding

Really excited! And yeah, I prefer items that continue to be useful after you find and use them in one dungeon.
The open world concept sounds like lots fun.

Xilo The Odd i just want my skull hammer or something equivalent. I'd like some other hard hitting item. Like, Twilight Princess had the ball & chain instead of a hammer. With the sci-fi elements teased in Link's arrow, I'd love to see some kind of powered gauntlet that gives Link a really powerful punch. Just walk up to some small fry enemy and pow, right in it's stupid face.
