Nerd/Popular kid

She's a nerd, and she's done her best not to draw attention to herself outside of the classroom. She often eats lunch by herself, surrounded by books, either reading for pleasure or studying. But then there's a high school dance. Maybe homecoming or something? Whatever it is, the nerd's only friend, who is the exact opposite of the nerd, outgoing social butterfly, convinces her to go the dance AND to let the social butterfly give her a 'make-over'. This one's less Cinderella-ish mainly because right after the dance where she got plenty of attention, she tries to go right back to her introverted ways at school, but the popular kid has noticed her, and he wants to get to know her better.

Not to mention the fact that he is headstrong, confident, and cocky. The popular kid has decided he won't take "no" for an answer, and will do whatever it takes to get what he wants!

Bio:
Born and raised in the U.S. of A, Aali is only exotic sounding because of his name. The teen was gifted with a loving, happy, home, and as a young child he flourished socially... if not intellectually. Aali was smart, of course, but as he grew older he always felt as if he was a little behind all the other kids. No matter to him, however, as the boy never felt grades were important, and instead managed to climb up the social ladder and just kind of "stay in place" on the intellectual ladder. Throughout middle school, he was well-liked and popular, despite all the gross pre-teen drama that seemed to flood across the halls like a disease. Aali was lucky to be spared from that, though the occasional jab was directed at him for his taste in less... popular music.

It's the truth, Aali has been a closet music snob for eons, although he isn't necessarily allowed to show it. For popularity reasons, of course, it's
not like he's embarassed about it or anything! No, the boy has a tendency to show no fear, and that follows him throughout many things; like the divorce of his parent's end of 8th grade, or his father leaving him with a now bitter and angry mother. Aali persevered, although it was hard at first, and managed to keep both his sanity, and his social status, up to Junior year.
