While Candice had been completely enthralled by the idea of moving to an underground base set underneath a lake - because seriously, how cool was that?! - a few weeks later the feeling had all but dissolved. It was all steel walls and monochrome colors and just so drab and utterly boring and she had just about had enough of it. Luckily for her though she'd gotten a day off, and instead of settling for Sandalwood, she'd headed further out, this time to Camphoreon. She'd passed through briefly on her way into the region, but hadn't had time to stop and check it out, and so she had every intention of doing so today.

Despite being a coastal city and having its own beach and boardwalk, it was unfortunately too chilly for Candice to do anything water-related - which was the biggest shame to the point of almost being blasphemous - and so she had instead settled for a trip to the mall. It was a lot bigger and had more stores than she'd anticipated, which was both a blessing and a curse. It was hard to decide which she felt more at the moment, but she decided at least for the moment, as she paused outside a piercing-slash-tattoo parlor in the mall of all things, that right now it was more of a blessing. She had been wanting another piercing or tattoo... Though, really, that was something she would need to plan on, rather than doing it on a whim, and so she merely stood outside and hummed idly, thoughtfully, while checking out the designs on the parlor glass. To an observer, with her light blue hair and numerous ear piercings, she seemed like the type to get piercings, but not tattoos: None were visible, though that was more than likely due to her clothing choice. A long-sleeved turtleneck covered her upper body and neck, and though she wore a skirt and knee-length boots, light blue tights covered any skin that would've been visible otherwise.

Because Happa had insisted, and Happa rarely insisted on anything, Akira agreed to head out to the mall to buy a gift for Anya. It wasn't that hard for the Leafeon's trainer to see he was smitten with her, and after their last exchange, he must have gotten an idea of something to get her. Deciding he could afford to spend a little on the wishes of his well-behaved pokemon, the brunet trainer followed the grass-type to the mall. There, Happa had proceeded to sniff out the perfect sweet treats.

Ending up with a few pink poffins as well as some matching pink macarons for Sera, Akira was ready to go back to his apartment. A head of light blue hair caught his eye, however, and he glanced over to notice the girl standing outside the piercing and tattoo parlor. The corner of his mouth rose in a half-smile as he walked over to her with Happa at his heels.

"Excuse me, miss," he said, hoping the young woman wouldn't be too occupied to look his way. "But would you be terribly offended if I asked about your hair?"

While she was too preoccupied to notice footsteps headed in her direction, she was not too preoccupied to notice the voice addressing her. She turned in his direction, her pink eyes full of innocent curiosity at first, but quickly switched to one of interest and intrigue. "Before you ask - no," she said with a smirk, preemptively answering the question she got most often, "I didn't dye it. It's natural. Unless you wanted to ask something else?" The young woman asked coyly after a short pause. His pokemon went unnoticed.
