I do the hair on the shower thing, but for good reason!
If I leave it to go down the drain, it will clog eventually.
And when it does, I'll be left to try to dig out a moldering mess of hair from my drain, which is both gross as well as extremely hard because apparently hair turns to glue if left to its own devices in a drain long enough...
