Name: Sacha Henri Maël (True name: Gorgon Séverin Rampsay)
Nicknames: Meal (Thanks Elly...)
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Faction: Demon
Race: Iratxoak (Tweaking lore for TiH to where they are more malicious if not given food rather than benevolent if they do receive food, though food is a good way to win them over!)
Natural Ability: Sous Chef - Sacha can manipulate his own shadow, which is incredibly useful as he cooks. This shadowy figure is attached to him and cannot go past the extent of his wings/tail. (Y2 the shadow will be able to fully detach but still need to be within a limited range)
Personality: Little Snot: He’s a bit stuck up, and no amount of dishes could change that. He’s not willing to settle for low quality things, including company, and he can be rude about it.
Blood sugar: This boil depends on food to determine his mood. If he’s eating or has recently ate you’re likely to find him in a better mood (for him), especially if the food is good (prepared by himself) or candy. The longer he goes without food the crankier he gets.
Heart on his sleeve: He’s pretty vocal and blatant about his emotions. If something is bad, he calls it like it is and can be pretty cutting about it. However, he’s also willing to give credit where credit is due.
Zomb-no: The Undead are not his thing. Really. Any being that obsessed with brains and with taste buds that rotted are not to be trusted, and are actually faintly disturbing to him. Vampires are one of the exceptions, but only if they are the type to treat their blood like wine (is the Fear dry? Does it have a light floral bouquet?). If they’ll just drink any blood he’s not interested in them.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? As a child Sacha won a major cooking competition for Scarelings. His Mother decided it would be good for him to get some experience outside of her restaurants and managed to get him an apprenticeship with a famous chef that specialized in competitions and judging. He learned from a plethora of chef’s that traveled from all over to work with his mentor, primarily from the fairly safe distance that came with being a dishwasher. Sacha’s pretty much learned how to work hard, and he’s got all the foundations he needs for cooking flavor and technique wise (as well as a fairly loud and colorful vocabulary). When his mentor was allowed to guest judge at Hades Kitchen he got an invitation as well. And, as expected, cleaned quite a few dishes (and therefore knew his own cooking was better than the “King’s” cooking). After the competition his mentor decided Sacha needed to hone his Fear abilities so he can wrangle even the toughest ingredients, and suggested he finish his training at Amityville.
FEAR Ability: Ow! My Tastebuds! (Battle Cry) - Sacha remembers (with appropriate horror) some of the dishes he has tried in the past. This spurs him into giving the fight his all, which often involves teeth and a desire to cleanse his palette. |

Meet the Family
Mother/Chef: An Iratxo demon, Emilie LaGrimme is a world famous chef. As the owner of several 5 Pumpkin restaurants and a few 4 Pumpkin restaurants working on that 5th Pumpkin, not too many try to get on her bad side. She simply owns too many places that are known to cater to those working on business deals. High society demons typically understand that you never know when that ridiculously fancy appetiser is going to win over a finicky business partner.
Mummy: A gluttony demon, Mummy is the president and CEO of a small but high quality candy company. It makes incredibly little money however, as it is primarily used to provide Mummy with a close to endless supply of sugary goodness. Mummy absolutely loves her baby boil, while she’s usually selfish there is almost nothing she won’t do for her children. She dotes on them almost excessively when they manage to find their way back to her.
Older sister: Sacha and Antoinette were incredibly close as children, primarily because the young gluttony demoness always wanted to eat cake and he always baked it for her. While he was at home she was his sounding board for various recipes, and once he left for further training they kept close via EyeMessage. Currently she is touring Halloween with her grandfather, primarily using the trip as a culinary tour. She instagrams all of her meals and writes reviews in the comments, from scathing to hilarious and everything in between. Her grandfather’s agent is currently trying to get her to write a book or become a professional critic.
Grandfather: World renown chef Robbie Slay. He constantly feels the need to be in the spotlight, though he’ll consider sharing it with his grandkids. His daughter had to carve her own way to the top though. |
