"....Amorphous Polyolefins...." The purple haired grunt murmured under his breath as he scribbled in his notebook. The page he was currently hunched over was covered with complicated looking formulas and various sketches of what looked like band-aids. His lunch tray was pushed to the side and forgotten, the only thing touched was a red apple with a single bite taken out of it. "Bannette...Ban-nette." Jabari hovered just behind his shoulder, peering at what was being scribbled down with vague curiosity. "Ah...you're right...Functionalized Polyolefins and Hydrogenated Pure Monomer Resins would work a lot better." The teen muttered with a distracted nod as he jotted the note down before heaving a sigh. "If I can get the proper chemical compounds this new experiment could change emergency medicine for the better. Isn't that exciting, Jabari?" He glanced at his pokemon who nodded rather earnestly. The Bannette didn't even roll his eyes or anything!

Salem didn't know why he was coming to the cafeteria, honestly. Huli had seemed hungry and lord only knows the little fennekin liked to hassle him for both his own meals as well as his trainer's. Muttering something to himself, he watched the fennekin pause near his feet, moving to tuck his hands into his pockets.. then gave a noise when the creature made a run for what seemed to be a forgotten lunch tray, "Hey!" He snapped at the pokemon, which made it stop just at the other human's feet, large ears perked and looking back to his trainer.

Pain in his rear, he swore it.

Salem stepped up rather grumpily, bright eyes narrowed down at his newly obtained pokemon, then up to the semi-familiar face--he'd seen him in passing, but.. god he sucked at names.

"You should eat your food.. You look like you're about to keel over."

While the grunt didn't look up as the Fennekin came over to his table, Jabari sure as hell noticed. The Bannette regarded the small fire type with obvious distaste before turning that look to the approaching blond. The pokemon couldn't recall ever seeing the two before...so it was strange that they would come over here. The pokemon grunted.

Zacharie glanced up at Jabari's hostile tone and startled just a bit when he saw someone standing there. "My food...?" He blinked owlishly at the other grunt before slowly turning his attention to his forgotten tray. Oh...right, he had gotten stuff to eat for lunch. "Ah, right. It seems I got a bit preoccupied." The teen reached out to take a hold of his discarded apple, turning it this way and that before grimacing and setting the piece of fruit back down. He hated when the fruit started to go brown.

The teen turned back to his notes and managed to jot down a few more thoughts before he noticed...the guy was still standing there. Setting his pencil down, he finally turned his head and gave the blond his full attention. "...Have we met before?" The other seemed familiar...sort of. He was horrible at remembering names and faces though so maybe this was the first time they had ever met.
