There were some serious injuries that happened to Rocket agents, which made Lu glad he was just a secretary, and sometimes a nurse. He never really had to deal with the worst of the injuries; he could give shots and that was about the grossest thing he wanted to do. For the most part though, he ended up with paperwork and that wasn't too gross. Overall, he didn't mind filling in occasionally in the clinic; it was near the labs he worked in anyway.

The desk he sat in was a bit too small for his legs; his knees bumped the underside and he was hunched down over it to fill out the incident report he was working on after checking in a Grunt who'd managed to get a pen stabbed through his hand. It had been the worst thing he'd seen all day so far; the second worst had been assuring a frantic Trainee their Pichu only had the sniffles and would be okay as long as it got plenty of rest and water. Essentially, it'd been a rather boring day after one bloody case. The entrance to the clinic was empty now, so Lu hummed to himself as he worked.

Zuberi didn't plan on catching a Pokemon. He didn't plan on getting another one until after Moto actually evolved and got some spunk and power to him. He was fast enough, sure; but he still struggled to fight in terms of actual battles. He was scared and usually ran away and hid when he was getting attacked. He only felt confident when it came to small bug Pokemon ( usually the worms ). So when Zuberi went out for a walk with Moto to try and find some of those small bug Pokemon, and ran into a Dragonair that looked on the brink of death. He didn't have enough medicine in his bag to heal the Dragonair fully, so he threw a Pokeball instead, and was even more surprised that the ball shook and then held still, flashing it's capture.

And now Zuberi was running down the halls, ducking around other members of Team Rocket and almost shouting an apology as he moved. He eventually got to the medical labs, and locked his eyes on the man behind the desk. He jogged forward and hold the Pokeball out toward the man. "I found this Pokemon in a cave near by. It is badly injured. Can you help?" He asked almost frantically. He glanced back down at the Pokeball, before up at the man, his eyes hard. He needed to get this Pokemon checked out to make sure it was okay.

Lu started at the man's sudden appearance but quickly recovered when he registered the pokeball being held out to him. He stood up quickly, knees thudding against the desk gracelessly, and took the pokeball from the man. "Oh- the pokemon technician just stepped out, but I can help you," Lu said, giving the man a nod before he turned and headed back to the healing machine. It wouldn't fix up injuries, but it'd do something for fatigue, and it'd give him some quick information. "Um, it's a dragonair, right?" He asked as the information popped up, giving the machine a few moments to do a round of healing. After it finished, Lu took the pokeball again and looked down the hallway, like he was trying to figure out where to go. Dragonairs were big, but it was mostly their length; after a moment of hesitation, Lu led the way to a room with a normal sized examination table and returned the pokeball to its owner.

"You can go ahead and let her out h-here," Lu said, hurrying to wash his hands and put on a pair of gloves. He wasn't sure how badly the pokemon was injured, but he'd like to have both hands free as soon as it came out of the ball; if it was conscious enough to panic, he wanted to be ready.

Zuberi didn't hesitate when the man took the ball. He was quickly following on heel, his hands tight at his sides. He had just caught his first Pokemon, on a technicality. And he didn't want it to die within the first ten minutes. He glanced toward the healing machine, curious as to what it did. He'd never been one for science. It was always confusing. Instead he just made sure his Pokemon never got so hurt as to need to visit a doctor. A quick potion always did the works. But this Dragonair needed more than that. It was seriously wounded. He nodded at the question, his hands still balled into fists, but staring at Lu expectingly. When the man seemed lost, he got a little frustrated, but kept it down. Eventually he followed the man to another room, and took the ball quickly from his hand. Now it was his turn to hesitate. He'd never called out this one before. And he always named his Pokemon... And trained them really, in Swahili. Now this could be a problem...

Thinking on his feet, he pressed the center button and let the ball fall open in his hand, the red light shooting out and toward the ground. "Nyota, kuja nje." He said lowly. Eventually the red light formed into the Dragonair; a brilliant looking specimen with markings like the stars. She was covered in wounds, scratches and bites that were deep into her flesh. Blood ran along her body and it took all she had not to move too much. She flinched and winced, letting out small cries of pain every so often, but her eyes remained closed. Zuberi glanced at Lu, waiting for him to do something to help the poor Pokemon.

Lu didn't say anything when the pokemon was released; immediately he looked her over, evaluating her injuries and deciding how best to go about treatment. She had a unique and eye-catching markings, but Lu didn't take time to admire her. Firstly, he took out his dex and sent a quick message to the pokemon technician on call. He had a feeling the pokemon would need an IV and he had only ever administered those to smaller, four legged pokemon. Lu didn't want to hurt this one more than it already was by doing something wrong. Message sent, Lu set the dex aside and hurried to a cupboard to take out gauze and antibacterial wipes.

"I called for the technician to come back," Lu said, trying to keep the worry out of his voice; he didn't want the man or his pokemon to worry any more than they already were. "She's probably going to need a drip, and anesthetic before we clean and close the wounds, b-but for now I'm going to wrap up the ones that are still bleeding." He said, brows furrowed in concentration as he set about wrapping the deepest wounds. It'd been a long while since he'd had to tend to injuries this severe on his own, but the Dragonair wasn't in a state to wait for the technician. He went over a mental list of things to tell the technician when she arrived; rabies shot, tetanus shot, she'd definitely need stitches... temperatures varied in pokemon species, but Lu was sure this one had a fever, probably from infection. He worked diligently, only murmuring comforting words to the pokemon when he had to jostle her to get to a wound. "If you want, t-talk to her; she's scared and hurt, and this is a strange place for her." He said quietly to the man; Lu didn't know him, but he had heard him speaking in another language. If he felt awkward talking to the Dragonair with someone around to hear, Lu hoped he would talk in the language he'd spoken before, for the Dragonair's sake.

Zuberi watched the doctor with firm eyes. Was he a doctor? Maybe he was just a lab tech... Either way, he knew more about medical stuff than Zuberi did. He hesitated for a moment, his hands itching to pet along the Dragonair and ensure her safety. He wasn't certain what this feeling was. It was like when he stole Moto from those people in the city. He just... wanted to have her and wanted her safe. And right now she was far from safe. He paced momentarily, stopping when he was on the left side of Lu and glanced down toward the man with a curious stare. Would he be able to help at all? He followed the man with his eyes, watching as he gathered some materials and then moved back to the Pokemon he now called Nyota.

Zuberi paused a moment, uncertain why he didn't start the drip now. It was then that he understood that Lu wasn't exactly used to medicale treatment for Pokemon before. Let alone one this large. She was at least thirteen feet long, probably longer if he measured. And he was certain if she reacted badly she'd be a handful. Especially since she wasn't tame. When the man started to wrap her, the Dragonair shifted and let out a slight cry. She lifted her head and stared toward the humans, before writhing slightly. Her tail flashed behind her, knocking things off the counter and a chair over before she started to fully panic. Zuberi launched into action then, following the other man's statement of talking to her. Maybe he could calm her some. He moved forward and put his hands on either side of her head, kneeling down so that he was eye level with her. "Utulivu, Nyota. Utulivu. Wote ni vizuri. We will not harm you. We are here to help. Kuponya." He murmured softly. He pet along her head, trying to calm her. And at first, she thrashed more. But after a few more moments, she started to still, panting and staring at Zuberi with wide eyes. Her head tilted somewhat to look toward Lu, before she let out a small cry of pain and closed her eyes tightly. Zuberi glanced up toward Lu, staring at him with sharp eyes. "Work fast. She is scared." He stated matter-of-factly.

Lu bit down on his lip, hard, when the Dragonair thrashed, trying his best to keep his cool and not panic despite the crashing and being hit by the struggling pokemon. He hadn't treated a pokemon this large before and he had no idea of it's anatomy- he'd only studied grass types, and even then he hadn't spent a long time with that. Still, Zuberi speaking to her eventually calmed the Dragonair down a bit and gave Lu a bit more room to think. He flipped through his memory, trying to pull up anything that would help him with a Dragonair... the pokemon that came to mind had body types far, far off.

"I'm hurrying as fast I-I can, the tech will be here soon," he said quietly, finishing up a knot and moving on to a different wound. He wanted to stop the bleeding, but he wanted to get fluids in the pokemon as well; an IV would let him give a sedative. The sooner that, the sooner he'd be able to treat the pokemon's wounds. Lu had begun to unroll more gauze, then suddenly dropped it with wide eyes.

"Serperior!" He exclaimed, forgetting the gauze completely and spinning around to get into another drawer. To Zuberi, "I need you to hold her down, I'm going to put in an IV-" He didn't add the 'I think I might know how' to his sentence, and instead focused on recalling all he could about the anatomy of Serperiors. They were a unique grass type, which made it stand out in his mind and when Lu turned around with the supplies, he gave Zuberi the most confident, and severe, look he could. "She's not going to be happy, b-but if I get this in I can sedate her so she doesn't hurt herself." He said, waiting on Zuberi's help to get the IV in.

Zuberi blinked and looked over toward where Lu was while the Dragonair was thrashing. He flinched slightly and now that Nyota was calm, he was able to gentle pet along her head. He pressed his forehead to the dragon's head, breathing out lightly and scratching along her jaw. "Good. Calm and at ease. You can do this, Nyota. We will get you healthy." He murmured to the dragon. Nyota opened her eyes and stared at the human in front of her. She wasn't certain what was going on, but she understood. She needed to calm, or she would hurt herself farther. Her eyes flickered over toward Lu, where she stared at him with big purple eyes. She let out another noise, before dropping her head into Zuberi's lap.

The man looked over to Lu as he called out a Pokemon. A Serperior... Fascinating. He'd never been near one before, so he didn't know much about them. But apparently Serperior meant something to the medical man. All the Pokemon he knew were first evolutions; except for now this Dragonair. He thought about a Snivy, which was the closest he knew to Serperior, before looking back at Lu. When he mentioned needing to get an IV in her, he nodded. "How badly will it hurt her? I do not believe she will like pain very much." He breathed out lightly before sitting back on his haunches and petting the Dragonair's head gently.

Nyota's eyes opened once more when she was able to focus fully. The small headwings shifted and fluttered a bit before resting still. She glanced over to the other man and stared for a few moments, before letting out another small noise. She shook her head slightly and flicked the tip of her tail, the orbs skating across the ground as she adjusted again.

Lu took another moment to reassure himself and go over Serperior's anatomy before taking a clean wipe and clearing a small spot on the Dragonair a bit down from her head. "It'll just be a small pinch," As long as he did it right. Lu felt around, fingers gentle, to find a spot, but as he thought it was difficult; her blood pressure was low. He found a spot to place the needle after a moment, though it wasn't a great vein, and...

Needle in, clamp on, and tape down, it might have been the fastest IV Lu had ever injected and it wasn't even on a human. He didn't have time to stop to celebrate and hurried back to the counters to finish preparing the IV. The fluid bag was hung, attached to the hose, and plugged in to the nozzle of the IV as fast as Lu could manage, then he went in search of sedatives. In the mess that the Dragonair had caused earlier, it took him a while to locate them; by the time he managed to find the right container with sedative shots, and get a proper dosage(Lu decided something meant for a Serperior was an okay amount for now- the Dragonair was bigger, but already had lost plenty of blood), the tech he'd messaged hurried through the door. She immediately began checking out the Dragonair, asking Lu what he'd already done to treat her, going down over her injuries, and checking the IV.

Lu responded quickly and let the technician provide the sedative shot. After exchanging the Dragonair's weight, she told Lu to bring her a few more sets of shots. Lu gave Zuberi a quick look of relief as he hurried out the door, "She'll be okay now-" and he was off down the hall, returning with a plastic safety box a few moments later. The technician began her own treatment, going over wounds and looking at what she'd need to stitch or staple. Lu, for the most part now useless until she gave him something else to do, stood out of the way and began cleaning up the floor; they didn't need someone falling and causing disaster.

The grunt didn't have much time to think before Dragonair shifted and let out a sharp noise. Apparently she did not like the IV. She thrashed for a second, eyes narrowing some before she shifted to move up as tall as she could. She let out another cry, the orb under her throat flashing a small yellow color, but then it was gone. Her energy was spent. She swayed for a second, before collapsing again. Zuberi moved quickly, catching her head before it hit the ground. The quick move made his knees buckle and he dropped to the ground as well, wincing slightly, but other than that showed no discomfort. He glanced toward Lu, frowning, and then looked back down at the Dragonair. His hands moved over her head, petting behind the headwings and down her neck. "She did not like that." He stated rather obviously.

Zuberi released a sigh, calming slightly now that she was down. He watched as the man moved and shifted to try and get things ready for her to be fully treated. But before he could ask another question, the technician was there. Zuberi stood carefully, laying the Dragonair's head down on the ground, and took a step back so that the tech could do their job. He glanced over toward Lu, staring for a moment, before looking back at his new Pokemon. His arms crossed carefully over his chest before he tilted his head, analyzing her slightly. He could train her. He was certain he could. He glanced back toward Lu, nodding his head slightly in thanks before watching the tech once more.

As the technician worked and got the pokemon stable, Lu finished picking up the room and getting it at least partially back in order. He asked the technician if she needed any more assistance, but go a shake of her head. Lu responded to the nod Zuberi gave him with a small smile. He stepped towards the man and nodded for the door.

"I know you don't want to leave her, but there's some paperwork we'll need to get filled out..." He said in a hushed tone, wanting to let the technician work without distraction. "The sooner we get it done, the sooner you can come back to her. She'll probably need prescriptions," Lu said, then took a step towards the door. He knew as well, by the time they filled out the paperwork and Zuberi could go back to Nyota, the technician would probably have moved her to a bed and get finished with the worst of her injuries. Lu wasn't trained with helping pokemon, but he was sure he'd be called back to take vitals sporadically. Lu waited by the door for Zuberi to follow.

Zuberi watched with a sharp look at the Pokemon he had captured. He adored her already. He needed to ensure she was going to be okay. His fingers itched to pet along her body and to make sure she was okay. But, then Lu distracted him. He glanced away from the star covered Dragonair and back toward the other man. His eyes flickered for a brief moment, before he nodded his head and turned away from her and toward Lu. He followed the other man into another room, his hands moving into his pockets.

"Thank you, for your help. It probably would have been much worse had you not been here. You helped to save her." He commented. He reached a hand up and set it on Lu's shoulder, squeezing gently as if to show his appreciation before he moved back toward the desk where he had first ran into Lu. He assumed that was where the paperwork would need to be done.
