Slender fingers laced within one another before pushing out in front of the white and pink clad trainer in a long stretch. Her blond hair falling in soft duck tailed curls past her shoulder, and the side part of her hair falling into one of her blue eyes before her fingers were able to brush it back aside.

Sturdy boots also in a fine white and pink strode forward into the trainer's box, as her hands slid to her belt, giving the trainer a moment to select the line up for her battle.
Plucking up her first heal ball from the belt, Rosie lifted the glossy heart sphere to her lips as the first stage of its activation caused it to fill in her palm.

"Does a three on three sound okay Citrine?" Rosie asked, her blue eyes casting across the arina they had chosen for their battle to where the other trainer box sat.

Citrine was excited, eager, scared, ecstatic, and a whole slew of emotions that boiled down to her stomach was flip-flopping. This was going to be a battle! A real, honest to goodness battle. With Rosie! "Yeah! A three on three is just fine by me!" She was so excited she was shaking as she reached for a pokeball. Oh? She wondered who to use... Who would Rosie use? She didn't even know all of her friend's pokemon! No, she couldn't worry about that. She picked a pokeball from her belt. Oh, she really hoped this one would behave today...

This was the first time Rosie had ever battle with Citrine, she knew the girl wanted to improve on her training, and Rosie was more than willing to help out, but for now Rosie felt like it would be best to see just where the girl was at and more importantly get a better idea of how she and her pokemon worked together, then they could start from there.

With that aside though, Rosie was still really looking forward tot his battle, it was always fun to compete against friends. It was a lot less stressful then fighting someone that meant to do you or your pokemon harm.

Oh the sidelines sat a number of Rosie's other pokemon, to be precise, it was each of the members of her primary team, set in to watch the battle of their other team mates.

Rosie smiled as the battle conditions were accepted, and with a slick of her wrist the girl tossed the heal ball out into the air, and with a burst of bright glittering light the ball opened, and the energy spilled out onto the ground in jagged arches, taking the form of a long creature before bursting away.

Ballet, the white Quilava snapped her pink eyes open, tossing her head up with sharp cry of battle before vivid pink flames erupted from her hind and heck.
"LAVA!"
PostPosted: Tue Jan 13, 2015 10:50 pm
Oh gosh! Rosie had such sweet pokemon! And the flames were pink? Citrine just about DIED inside. She loved it! The green haired girl tossed out her own pokeball. When the red light faded, a banette was standing there, wrapped in a green and gray scarf. It eyed the pokemon, reaching out to frisk it to see what items it had.

"Marion... please behave..." She worried her lip slightly between her teeth. Oh! Wait, the battle was starting! She opened her mouth to say something. No, she couldn't use that move. Not on a fire type. "SHADOW SNEAK!" She called to Marion.

Ballet's eyes widened as she was frisked, squirming and wiggling to try and get away, before letting out a huff of fire from her mouth as the Banette wouldn't find anything.

Rosie smiled at Ballet's indignation to Banette's ability move, though it faded slightly as the battle finally started with a ghost type move that was certainly bound to hit first, no matter how quickly Ballet was.

The Quilava's eyes widened as she looked down, seeing the concrete below her feet suddenly go black as something swiftly moved under her, her instinct was to jerk backwards, and that would ultimately find her right in the striking range of the Ghost's attack.
Feeling the Ghost's attack along her back, Ballet let out a startled cry as she was knocked forward, some of the flames locking off of her body in the sudden forced jolt of movement. It was still the first strike though, and the fire type was able to regain herself and on Rosie's cry of "Flame charge!" and a heavy "QUI!" The fire type's body suddenly erupted into spitting orange and pink flames, roaring violently across the white pokemon before she made a tacking dive at the Ghost pokemon.

The banette smirked as her attack hit the fire type. Oh yeah, she was good, and she knew it. But then the little .... fire.... lizard thing burst into flame! Marion jumped, then grabbed the edge of her scarf. No way she was going to let this get singed! The ghost threw the scarf at her trainer.

"Hex it!" Citrine called. Marion didn't listen. The obstinate ghost prepared to try to grab the fire type and use Will-o-wisp. "MARION!" Rather then catching the fire type, which would have bee cool, the ghost took the flame charge right to the stomach and stumbled back.

Gleaming white and blue flames from the Ghost types attack billowed over Ballet's body, cutting through the flames of her charge and scorching up the side of her previously pristine white body.
She felt the burn deep, smelling the burning of her fur and skin as she the dull sting of a foreign flame set a burn condition onto her body.

Her expression winced, though more from the frustration of having to endure the lasting pain in the battle then the pain itself. Her focus was on the battle, one she had to end quickly before this burn would whittle away her strength.
Thankfully her Flame Charge made its hit, though no sooner had the flames around her body die away than than the Quilava use her new gained closeness on the ghost to drop her jaw and a Flamethrower was blasted out at the Banette.

Citrine was... really surprised that worked. She had no idea fire types could get burned! But she couldn't get excited about that. Her mind was racing through all sorts of things as she tried to think about how to win this battle. "Use spite!" She watched Marion stagger on her feet a little. She couldn't help but grip the scarf her pokemon had thrown at her just a little tighter. Marion may be a naughty brat, but she didn't want to see her get really hurt either. Marion didn't have a chance to use another attack. The little fire pokemon was so close that the flametrower hit her pretty much point blank. Marion tumbled back and lay on the ground. She was finished.

"Marion?" Citrine bit her lip before calling the pokemon back. She glanced across the arena at Rosie, then looked back at the pokemon on the field before sending out her next pokemon. "Taboo, come on! Let's take this one out!" She sent out the spiritomb. "Hypnosis!"

Ballet let out a high pitched cheer, a burst of orange flames gushing from her mouth in a moment of celebration before she allowed herself to sit down, her unconscious opponent being withdrawn back into his poke ball.

"Good job Ballet~" Rosie cheered, the voice drawing the scorched Pokemon's attention with perked ears.
Rosie was proud of her Pokemon, not just becasue she won, but becasue of how much effort she always gave when she was put in battle.
Rosie couldn't ask for more then that, and every time she was just amazed with their progress.
Taking a moment to assess Ballet's damage from her previous fight, Rosie's eyes then drifted toward the pokemon that had been released as her opponent.
Her eyes widened slightly, she had heard of Spiritomb before, but becasue of how rare and dangerous they were she had never seen one before, let alone battle one.
Dark and Ghost type, she didn't have any more experience with them, this the coming battle would be a good learning opportunity.

"Are you up for another round Ballet?" Rosie called, the white pokemon flattening her ears as she too stared across the field toward her opponent.
The burns she had sustained were going to start taking affect in worse ways. had she been clear from that then she would be fine, but...
"Quilava" She cooed back, looking over to Rosie who understood and reached out a hand to return Ballet back into her Pokeball.

Now came the next decision... Rosie had a Pokemon on this team that had a type advantage, ideally Rosie would call out on Celtic to battle, but that felt somewhat cheap when the opponent was a friend who was too trying to learn.
plucking up another pink ball from her belt, Rosie instead called out a much larger creature.
Her body was white again, decorated in a variate of gold accessories and who's flaming main and tail billowed a brilliance of pastel colors.

Princess Celestia clicked her golden hooves against the battle ground, throwing her head up high as pink eyes cast to her swirling dark opponent.

Man, Rosie was so AWESOME! Citrine marveled as her friend seemed able to understand what her pokemon was saying and called the injured one back. And her eyes only widened when she saw the GORGEOUS pokemon Rosie sent out next. "Oooooh!" She couldn't help but coo when she saw it.

Taboo regarded the fire type lazily. Even when the other pokemon spoke, he simply bobbed what counted as his head in acknowledgement to her. But there was a battle on now, and his trainer had given him an order. His swirling eye remained fixed on the rapidash as he tried using hypnosis.

(Rolling Percentage dice for Hypnosis)
(Edit: 72% successful attack)

Celestia lifted her head when she saw the attack coming, knowing there was no simple escape from it. Through what will she could muster she tried to endure the affects, but soon found herself slipping into a dormant state.
her head dipped down and she hung in the condition of sleep.

A troubled expression crossed over Rosie's face, but she made no move to call her Rapidash back into her ball, making the decision to wait, let Celectia wake up and have faith that she could endure the attacks that the opponent sent her way during that time.

That worked? That really worked? Citrine couldn't believe it! For a moment, she was stunned too much, watching the gorgeous pokemon drift to sleep, that she forgot for a moment that she was supposed to be trying to win. "Oh!" Wait a moment! What else did Taboo know? She had to check her pokedex. Taboo still wasn't a very strong pokemon, but he had just learned an attack. Oh right!

Taboo turned his spectral portion around to stare at Citrine. He needed a command. "Dreameater!" She finally called out. Taboo turned again to attack.

(rolling for turns that sleep lasts)
(edit: 1 turn)

The attack, though internally caused the Rapidash to jerk in her sleep in a measure of pain, tossing herself from her feet and falling to the ground on her side.
Flames continued to lick up from her body, though with a significantly dull vigor.

Rosie winced slightly but made sure to keep her eyes on the battle anyway, internally debating with herself to call Celestia back, or to let her try and hang in there for a few more rounds. In the end it came down to Rosie just needing to pay attention to the pokemon's state, she would make the call if things got worse.

It was with a breath of relief, when Celestia shifted on the ground, and her eyes fluttered open. Rosie perked up and clapped her hands together as the Rapidash sat up, shook her groggy head out and pulled herself back to her hooves with a measure of difficulty from the damage she was sure she sustained from whatever attack during her sleep.

"You okay?" Rosie called out to Celestia, earning a gentle whinny in reply.
Kicking her flames back into action and turning her gaze onto the Spiritomb.
"When you can, lets give him a Flame wheel, alright?" Rosie told her Pokemon who gave a gentile snort as flames starting to erupt over Celestia's body, the tall orange inferno beginning to swirl as she prepped the attack.
