After being such a mild winter, even for the start of the year, Rosie sure wasn't expecting the storm that was supposed to blow through to be this heavy. So have gone from cold bust sunny with no sign of snow anywhere on the ground to what was a complete white out.

Rosie had to be thankful that her and her team were at least almost to the city by the time the storm set in. The commute to the trainer's Center wasn't exactly a short one, and despite Pastin's lack of complaint she knew that the falling snow and ice under hoof wasn't comfortable for the Rapidash.

The blond trainer squinted through the snow, thankfully having no need for street signs as Pastin trotted along the icy sidewalks the snow melting briefly by the touch of his burning hooves.
"The city seems a bit unprepared for this." Rosie said allowed to her Pokemon, to which Pastin gave an glance around the streets and bundled passerby before he gave a nicker back up to Rosie, a jet of steam erupting from his nostrils.

Behind Rosie, standing upon the Rapidash's hind quarters and a fluffy paw on the girl's shoulder stood a Shiny Lopunny, at the comment from the trainer the Pokemon gave no external behavior like she heard, or was even intending to respond. Simply squinting through the flurry of snow seemingly unaffected by the cold.
While a squirming lump in the front of Rosie's zipped up jacket struggled to curl into a more comfortable position.
"No one likes this." A voice replied, causing the blond to lift her chin from her jacket and smile a little

"Its not usually very fun is it." She replied with a little pat to the creature under her chest and turning her attention to the cross walk that Pastin drew them to a stop at, watching for the light to change with a little shiver.

This wasn't good.. Wasn't good at all. Zuberi had left headquarters in order to pick up some special food for Baridi. He swore on all the gods from his homeland that the damn Pokemon couldn't just settle on Rocket grade food. No. He just had to have this special crap from a special little place in town. And it really pissed Zuberi off at times. But if he didn't go and get the food, Baridi would starve and that wasn't how this man ran his team at all. If Moto needed food like that, then he'd be out in a rainstorm to get them. But, he hadn't expected a snow storm to come out. And one so bad he had no way to really get back to headquarters... Not without freezing. Moto's fires wouldn't warm him enough to make it back to the base... but... He needed to get there.

Moto shifted on Zuberi's shoulder, peeking out toward the snowstorm. He let out a small whine, before ducking back into Zuberi's hair. Zuberi lifted a hand, reaching back and petting along the Pokemon's head, before sighing. "Do not worry, Moto. We will get back." He pulled the Pokeball from his bag, recalling the fire type, before pulling another out from his bag. He sighed, before calling out the ice type. Baridi glanced around for a few seconds, spotted Zuberi, and turned his nose to the air. Zuberi knelt down in front of him, sighing lightly. "I know you do not like me, Baridi. But I need your assistance getting back... I have your food, and we can do some special ice training when we get back, I assure you. But we have to get back." Baridi glanced at him, before letting out a slight huff. He turned toward the door, nosed it open, and headed out into the snow.

Zuberi sighed again, before running after the Pokemon. He turned his collar up and followed the ice type. Baridi wandered the streets, heading toward the road out of town, before pausing at the sight of a fire type in the road. His tail went up and he hissed, narrowing his eyes some and baring his fangs. Zuberi frowned at him and rolled his eyes, before shifting forward and nudged the Pokemon with his boot. When Baridi tried to bite him, he took a step back. "Baridi, stop. It is not going to attack you. Let us continue forward toward home." Baridi ignored Zuberi, instead staring still toward the Rapidash and hissing at the fire type.

Pastin’s ears were pinned back, his head bowed against the wind and snow, though for a brief moment the fire horse’s ears perked at the sound of aggression not far from his hooves.
Blue eyes widened in surprise as he turned his head toward the source of growling. Seeming taken aback for a moment, the Rapidash glance around as if looking for a reason for the pokemon to be acting in aggression only to find no other reason or anything out of the ordinary that he himself could tell. He had to assume that it was he himself that was causing such a reaction.
Pastin lowered his ears at the final hiss from the Glaceon, his head tossing up a little, the flames along his chin billowing with his mane in the wind.
the large gray horse replied with a slight disapproval of the others behavior in his tone.
It was the Lopunny that wore a more open disdain to the behavior show to her team mate, and with a sarcastic scowl, one paw lifting off of the shoulder of her trainer she shifted her weight to turn and face the Glaceon in a more opening antagonizing position, daring the ice type to try something.

The exchange had drawn the attention of the trainer sitting on top the Rapidash’s back, large blue eyes widening a little more in a look of wondering just what had happened.
“Is everything okay?” Rosie asked, noticing her pokemon’s conversing with the Glaceon, leading her eyes from the Glaceon, who’s features she found to be quite stunning, up to the man it was standing closest by who she could only assume was its trainer.

Baridi was ready to attack. Ready to show that damn fire type who was boss! And then something shifted on it's back, and his bright eyes shifted up. A Lopunny. That could be dangerous... He pinned his ears back farther and hissed some, tail lifting up to try and seem bigger. < Your presence is unwarranted! What is a fire type doing out in a sno- > The Glaceon's voice was cut off by a bright red light as Zuberi called him back. He frowned down at the Pokeball, before putting it into his bag. The man shifted to pull his collar up more against the wind, before looking over toward the girl atop the Rapidash. How many people was he going to meet with that specific fire type. He had his own, a Cyndaquil, but Moto hated snow. He glanced toward the other Pokemon, before locking once more on the girl atop the Pokemon.

"My apologies. Baridi is not... he... is still in training." He stated, glancing at his bag with a frown. He looked back up toward the girl before tipping his head lightly toward her. At the very least he could analyze the other Pokemon she had on her. The Lopunny was... remarkable. A shiny, he was certain. And it looked strong. Zuberi glanced at his bag again before shaking his head. No. He couldn't try to steal Pokemon when he had such a long trek back to the headquarters. He had to get there... He couldn't stay in town for much longer. He needed to find someway to get Baridi food without having to brave a damn snow storm. "Are you not cold? What are you doing traveling in such weather?" He asked above the wind.

It was a case of prejudice, Type prejudice against fire types as made clear by the Glaceon's words.
Pastin frowned at the Pokemon even after it was returned back into the pokeball by its trainer.
He knew type prejudice existed, and was a very prominent within selected communities of pokemon. He understood where it could come from, how such feelings could develop, though to say that it didn't sting him to be prejudged based solely on what element he was born into would be a lie. It wasn't the nature to which Rosie raised him, nor to how he, or his trainer wished to treat others.
Letting out a light nicker Pastin turned his head back toward the street light for when it would signal for them to be able to cross.

"Does that happen a lot?"
A small voice speaking directly into the minds of those around, asked,

Pastin replied with a stiffness to his voice.

The Lopunny scowled, settling back down into a crouch behind Rosie.

Pastin reminded the more hot blooded rabbit.

Rosie placed a hand on Pastin's shoulder in a gentle reassurance, not able to tell what they were saying, but could feel in the way he was standing now that something the Pokemon had said had bothered him.

Her attention was soon taken to the Trainer who had returned the beautiful Glaceon, and with a gentle smile at his apology she shook her head. "We understand how challenging it can be sometime, I wish you both the best." She offered, remembering how much of a handful Pop had been, and how long it took for their relationship to get anywhere.

It was his accent that first caught her attention, she wasn't able to put her thumb on it, but it sounded really interesting, he was just in general a really cool looking person! The blond arched her eyebrows, and with a brighter smile reached a hand out again to pat Pastin's side. "We're heading home from the Trainer's Center, I was hoping to beat the storm but I guess I got my timing off a little. Pastin's a trooper though, and his flames help keep us warm till we can get home."
Pastin let out a light snort of flame at the praise, and bowed his head down and up in a display of pride.
Rosie giggled "We've trained in similar conditions anyway. I hope you're traveling safely?" The blond continued, tilting her head at the dark skinned man who had previously inquired about her own state.

The light at the crosswalk turned green, Pastin gave a little nicker to inform his trainer, who with a wave of her hand to the other trainer turned toward the street.
Anyone paying attention would notice that there was still a car in the intersection, spinning out on the ice and snow layering the roads, and trying to pull into his turn before the light turned, this however put them right in the path of traffic coming down the hill.
Noticing this, Rosie leaned forward from where she was sitting on Pastin, encouraging the horse to trot out to help the man's car across the intersection. As Pastin slushed his way, hissing and steaming through the icy cross walk, he paused with a sudden yell of "There is more panic!" from a familiar small voice, and with a flash the lump under Rosie's Jacket flattened, and a Jirachi with a head and ribbons make of golden crystal and splaying white arms arms was suddenly in front of the blond trainer.
One car in particular coming down the hill must not have been managing his speed and break very well becasue by the time he entered the intersection, his break lights were blazing but he wasn't slowing down.

The two cars collided with a sickening crunch, the ice and momentum sending the vehicles careening at alarming speeds, one toward the sidewalk heading right at Zuberi, while the other slid full force into Pastin, catching the horse and dragging the team down the hill as it continued to slide toward the buildings.

Zuberi watched the Pokemon for several seconds. Sometimes he wished he could understand them... But that probably wasn't going to happen anytime soon. He shifted slightly and shoved his hands into his pockets, because damn it was cold. He glanced over toward the trainer some, half smiling at her before nodding his head lightly in thanks. He was going to need it... Considering how his Pokemon were being. He couldn't risk Moto or Nyota, and Baridi was being a brat. He shifted slightly and looked up at her for a moment before looking toward the light. "We are trying to. Stay warm, miss." He offered, before pushing forward once more. He'd have to look and try and find out where he was going as he walked. If he needed, he could call Baridi back out and see if he would help.

Then something happened very quickly.

Zuberi heard a voice in the back of his head, and it made him spin to see what was going on. His eyes locked at first on the cars, but then he saw it. Something... A Jirachi? Here? He took a half step toward where the legendary was, before his eyes locked on the car heading his way. He panicked for a split second, before digging his heels into the snow and grabbed a Pokeball from his bag. "Nyota, kusaidia!" The flash of white shifted before the Dragonair appeared, dark against the white snow. She looked around for a second, spotted the car, and almost puffed up with pride and the want to defend the safety of her trainer. Nyota wound her tail around Zuberi a few times, before moving quicker than what would seem possible. But that was his training style. And the fact that Nyota knew agility helped. She seemed to drop off Zuberi in safety.

Once Zuberi was out of harm. Nyota moved quickly. She glanced around, trying to figure out what to do. If she didn't stop that car, then there was a possibility that it could hurt someone else. Moving back in front of hte car, she braced herself and took the hit, sliding slightly along the snow before hte momentum finally stopped and the car stopped moving with it. Her head turned toward where the Rapidash was, and she moved that way, hoping she could help the Pokemon and it's trainer before they got really hurt. She moved as quickly as she could, letting out a slight cry as she moved down the hill after them. Zuberi watched before taking off at a run after them, trying not to slip on the ice and snow. "s**t..." He muttered, breath coming out cold on the air.

The warning cry from the Jirachi was quick to draw the Rapidash's attention, as well as the two on his back, just barely in time to see a large white metal form sliding toward them at a frightening speed through the flurry of snow and wind.
He didn't even need to feel the tapping of Rosie's heels and the squeeze of her thighs in a silent command to know what he had to do, it was if he could react quickly enough to it that stung panic into the Rapidash's heart, not when the cargo he had upon his back was so precious to him.
The flaming horse turned to face the vehicle in an attempt to position his body and growing attack into a bracing position, the muscles along his chest and rear tensing a moment before the vehicle slammed into his mostly unprepared body.
Rosie let out a startled yelp as she managed to stay on his back through the sudden violent jarring of the car hitting Pastin’s solid mass, clinging as best she could to Pastin's back, with Pop gripping the back of her jacket. She could feel that Pastin wasn’t in in a firm stance, the car hitting him across his chest before he could get his strength and the awkward angle the vehicle had caught him in only served to drive her Pokémon back with little Pastin could do to try and regain footing on the slippery hill.
Little miracles though- as the Trainer could also tell that Pastin was at least able to trigger the use of his Strength in time, but because of the slippery streets under his hooves, the momentum of the vehicle It only seemed to manage to keep the Rapidash from sustaining more injury then he could have gotten. But unless he could gain a hoof hold she worried that the result in him getting hurt, especially with how quickly they were going.
She could return the pokemon- that would get him out of danger, but it only took one look through the windshield of the car, and the two people sitting in the front seats, their eyes wide, the driver trying everything he could to stop his car, white a glance back at the traffic and pedestrians below.
If she pulled Pastin out how without giving him a chance to stop the car then someone else would get hurt, and she didn’t have to question what Pastin would want.

A bellow from the horse struggling with the ice, the force the snow around him hissing as Rosie felt the flames billowing around her grow warmer.
“Carefull with the fire Pastin!” Rosie called “Not so close to the car-”

One of Pastin’s back hoove’s slipped, causing the trainer and pokemon on his back to lurch, Rosie having to grab around the pokemon’s neck in order to stay on, but with another buck from what Pastin could muster and a tug from Pop, Rosie released him, and with Pop made a jump from Pastin’s back and onto the icy streets.

The blond was quick to scrambled back up to her white and pink boots, the hood falling off of her head, blue eyes wide, as the first thing she saw before she could turn around and address Pastin was the man she had been talking to before, along with a beautiful starry Dragonair, behind him she could see that one of the other cars that had spun out had been stopped, the driver getting out and looking flustered but unharmed, Rosie couldn't help but feel a wash of relief that no one had been hurt up there at least.
“Pastin can’t get his hoof past the ice” Rosie called to him and the pokemon, a gloved hand pointing back.
“We need to stop that car”
Without hesitation the Lopunny, who had been by Rosie’s side to make sure the trainer got up alright crouched herself into a low stance, the muscles on her legs tensing before she sprung herself forward with such force it looked like she just disappeared.
A distant crashing on the street behind Pastin showed the Lopunny landing a hit into the ice so hard with one of her attacks that the ice and stone splintered from the pressure, trying to give Pastin something to catch himself on if they couldn’t stop the car.

Zuberi wasn't certain what was going to happen. He flinched slightly at the cold and looked around quickly. Everything was happening so quickly. His eyes scanned the area, searching for ways to help, but it turned out that there was no real way. He ran after Nyota, his foot fall uncertain on the ice but this boots seemed to help well enough. The Dragon type was moving quickly, and not even using her advanced speed. Smart girl. He skid to a stop when the Lopunny got the trainer to safety, before looking back at Nyota quickly. There wasn't much they could do, but he had to try something! He set his jaw, before nodding slightly at the trainer and pointed toward the car.

"Nyota, Kasi! Get behind the Rapidash and help!" Nyota's head tilted back slightly, listening to her trainer before she let out a soft cry and moved. Her body became a blur as Agility took effect, moving her quickly along the ice and toward the Rapidash. She came up behind it, braced herself, and waited. When the Fire type hit her side and sent her skidding, she flinched, but didn't move. Her eyes set as she tried to help slow the car. She let out another slight cry and tried to curl her body a little more around the Pokemon and car. Zuberi could see that it wasn't helping much. It slowed them slightly, but not enough to make a huge difference. He hesitated, before pulling out the Pokeball and tossing it up, the red light flashing before the Glaceon was back out on the snow. He glanced around quickly, before frowning, the air making his fur feel funny.

Zuberi sighed and walked over to it, talking quickly. "Baridi, I need your help. Please. They need your help. We have to stop that car. It could hurt the people and Pokemon. Can you help?" He asked, voice betraying his panic. Baridi glanced around, before noticing the car. He tilted his head, before taking off at a run. Zuberi could tell he had used Quick Attack to gain some ground. And when he started to get close enough, he turned his head and used Ice Shard, trying to freeze the tires to the ground. The combined effort seemed to be working in terms of slowing the car, and with the ice creating traction, it was easy for Baridi to be able to focus more and shift to Icy Wind to be able to get it to where it would stick better. Zuberi grinned, nodding his head excitedly. "Hiyo ni!" He shouted toward his Pokemon.
