"The facts are sad – hundreds of babies are abandoned on the streets of Seoul, South Korea every year. And many of them just don’t survive. But then came along Paster Lee Jong-rak, who set up a way for saving unwanted, discarded babies.
Pastor Lee began by building a mailbox for abandoned babies. “If I didn’t do something, I’d be picking up dead babies at my gate,” he says.
Watch as a thumping sound is heard and Pastor Lee moves to open his “Drop Box” to discover that someone just dropped off a live newborn baby.
As Crisis Pregnancy Centre Min Hwang says “This is a matter of the heart. If that inherent value for a baby’s life isn’t there, there’s always going to be babies dumped in the trash.” So, how did Pastor Lee first get such a brilliant idea? Through his beloved, disabled son whom he spent 14 years in and out of hospitals with.
