So, I have this plot in mind.

I've been writing it out and working on it for a few years now, and I think it's a pretty great plot that a few people would be interested in, but the thing is, I don't know if I worded it in a way that could confuse others.

Here's just the basics

Twelve girls with magical powers are sent off to a world among the stars to become the veil keeper, who will protect Earth--also referred to as the world of the rational--from monsters.
However, to do so, they must use their powers to kill one another until one stands victorious, thus becoming veil keeper.
Basically like the Hunger Games with magical girls

And here's what I wrote out

The world is a fairly straight forward place. You're born, you go to school, you grow, you marry, you reproduce, and you die.
So is life and it's cruel, on-going circle. And it continues as such for many people in the most dull ways.
This has been your life until the day you discover something deep inside of you.

Though life is bland for some--others, like you, have a more divine purpose.

There are two worlds--the world of the rational, consisting of humans and various flora and fauna, and the world of the vicious, consisting of horrible monsters and downright abominations, hellbent on getting into the world of the rational.
There are few on earth who can see these creatures for what they really are and protect us from these evil beings.
However, the veil between the two is unprotected, hence weak and easy for creatures to slip into.
A veil keeper is required to watch over and keep the veil safe, but this position is as dangerous to keep as it is to obtain.

Choosing of this keeper happens ones every thousands of years during Bellum ex tristitia, located in the veil--a realm amongst the stars in the Tower of Celestial Beings.
Twelve magical young women, ranging between the ages of thirteen and sixteen from different parts of the world, are selected at random and brought to the tower.
Once there, they are paired against another and demanded, by the current keeper, to do one thing:

kill her.

Once all competitors are defeated, the keeper is crowned and serves out her days in the Tower until the next Bellum ex tristitia.

Who will survive? Who will parish? Will the cycle ever cease?

Only the cosmos know for sure.

Does it make sense? Can you understand the plot clearly?

Also, would you be interested in joining this rp? (I'm just curious//)

Sounds interesting and I'd be interested in joining when it's ready.

Question: How are you planning on handling character death?

I personally like rp's when the characters can die.

I was thinking of using random.org for both deciding the matches and who dies, that way the results would always be random.

I'm willing to hear suggestions, though!

What about the dice roll on this site
Like you can call a random number and whoever is closest lives. Then the two need to play out the death

Ooo! I like that Idea, too!

I might end up doing that instead. Thanks for the suggestion!

aaaHHHH

I should've said this earlier, but I can't seem to think of a good title for the RP.

Suggestions for that would be awesome, too ;o;

Be careful. Rp's like this tend to disappoint people when their characters die prematurely. Some rp's implement stat systems that give characters disadvantages and advantages. While dice may be necessary in the long run, giving the characters something to help with the illusion that they chose their fate may help things.

I was thinking about that, too. It hadn't crossed my mind initially, however.

I probably will end up using a stat system. Thank you for bringing it up ^^

Okay so updates on the thing.

I will be using the stat idea--but I'll make sure it's somewhat realistic (like no perfect 10s all the way down)

I might be using dice for getting the first match in order, but I'm not so sure about that.

Uhhhh

Oh, and maybe "The Contest" or something as the title? Still looking for suggestions on that

You could do a stat system, but honestly I think as long as you make it clear that character's WILL be dying at random, nobody has room to complain. I personally like the random factor in it. I know Femme is waiting to start one she has about Russian Roulette, and characters will be dying at random, but she made a point of making that clear, so we're all going into it knowing that we may or may not live.

yeah, Iono .-. just seems like you shouldn't need to save anyone from getting butthurt as long as you're clear with the intent from the beginning .-. But that's just me. Like sure I'd be kinda bummed if I really liked my character, but it would have been my decision in the first place, knowing what I was getting into, so I can't really complain or throw a fit or anything.

Yeah. Very true.

It does make a lot more sense to do that, now that I think about it. Thanks for the input!
