Nintendo Nintendo Co., Ltd. deeply regrets to announce that President Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11, 2015 due to a bile duct growth. According to Kotaku, Iwata was forced to skip last year’s E3 due to his poor health, and had to go through surgery to remove the bile duct growth.
We lost a powerful, beautiful mind and I've been depressed about it since hearing the news.

I'm also extremely upset. Earthbound is one of my favorite games of all time. When it was released for Super Nintendo, I paid $60 for it & then that was a LOT of money to pay for a game. But I did because I knew it was going to be an amazing game.
And OMG I love the Pokemon games. Gold & Silver being at the top of the list out of all of the Pokemon games.

gold and silver back then was probably his greatest achievement by far, he took a version he was handed with one region and just said, lets cram the other one in here as well.
