Round 1 HP: 30/30
When arrived, he was grouped in with a 'wave' of students and given the basic instructions - run or fail. It was, indeed, a simple concept and Dekana didn't think it would be that difficult, he had fairly decent stamina!
However, as he watched the students ahead of him take off running, it wasn't long before the lightning began to strike. More then a few students simply poofed as they were dematerialized and others, still zapping from the electricity their system carried, were whistled at and made to walk to the safe zone sides.
The terrain was harsh, unforgiving and uneven... difficult to traverse even moving cautiously. Dekana wondered how many broken arms and ankles this class had seen... and the professor, well... he didn't seem remotely sympathetic to any of his charges this day. That wasn't encouraging.
Sighing when it finally came to his turn, Dekana rolled his shoulders in preparation before starting off with a jog that he could pace his stamina with. Unfortunately the professor apparently didn't consider that enough effort and the lightning struck the lake-dwelling shadow panther, arcing through him and leaving him shaken.

Survived 1 Round Round 2 HP: 20/30
Shaken and still a bit twitchy, Dekana picked up the pace and really put his all into the obstacle course. It was winding and difficult, dipping down into a trench he was pretty sure he spotted snapping somethings in before arcing up into a gruelling hill that was very nearly a vertical climb. All around him his peers were dropping like flies, with very few actually making it very far.
He seemed to be making pretty decent progress, overall, however as he managed to pick a speedy path through the obstacles that almost seemed to be thrown at random onto the Thunder Road. It was obviously designed to slow people down, set them up for failure, and it was operating at intended surprisingly well.
He dodged, wove, jumped, and rolled to keep up a running speed that saw him advance further then a number of his peers - no lightning, no shocks... and no broken ankles! This was great!

Survived Round 2 Round 3 Hp: 20/30
Feeling good, Dekana's confidence soared as he ran. He'd gotten further then most of his group and he felt the teacher's gaze settle on him, almost as if he was curious about this individual. The student looked up at the professor and his confidence became his downfall.
He slipped on a rock slick from some sort of fluid, lost his balanced and tripped as he ran uphill, managing to knock his face against another set of slick rocks. It was sudden and painful. Desperately, Dekana tried to right himself before the lightning struck but it was to no avail... The thunder boomed as electricity coursed through his body, stronger and nastier this time... arcs floating up between antlers to end in sparking snaps and crackles. His tail twitched feebly as he flopped like a fish out of water until the surge ebbed.
The whistle was blown and a firm voice told him to retreat from the course. Frustrated, Dekana did as he was told, the snap of a nearby lightning strike making him jump. He'd made it a good way down the course, but he hadn't completed the class yet. As he walked, he took the relative calm of his failure to really look at the course – there had to be an ideal path in there somewhere, something he could learn from going forward.
As he watched, a student fell directly beside him and the thunderstrike was so immense it sizzled through Dekana as well and when the flash ebbed, the student was gone... dissipated and probably teleported to the infirmary. Brutal.
Dekana decided this would be his nemesis class - he would defeat it.
