Fear-propelled harpoons hurt enough as it is, but Cape possesses the ability to take hers up a notch, making the occasional harpoon hurt a double lot oh man.

As an only child born and raised in and around Vancouver, Max led an uninterestingly average life up until he turned twenty. It was then that he met Monica, the love of his life, if by "life" one meant a span of two years, and even that estimation was generous. Their romance heated up quickly and burned out just as fast, leaving them with two kids born 17 months apart and an eternity of regret. They finally divorced almost one year prior to Day Zero. Before he fled to the safety of the prison following the outbreak (where he worked as a transport van driver between the courthouse and the jail itself), he lived in a nearby apartment complex and saw his children every other weekend and on ten additional pre-approved evenings per month.
