Hollow Sage was not a buck that expected to be a parent. His children were a rather pleasant surprise and his daughter a rising star. He was also one that enjoyed a party, so he cheerfully took them to the bonfire festival and ended up exchanging pleasantries with Bitter Mint about their lovely daughters before going out to seek some food.

Reeds! They could be tasty if they weren't gone to fluff. He examined them and carefully bit off a mouthful, caring them back to the feast. Sweet, tasty, a bit stringy but then they were reeds and a bit tough. Still rather delicious.

He moved on to less stressful and less potential deadly ground. The fruit grove he ventured in was full of ripe pears and he willingly filled his belly before taking some of the sweet fruit back to the festival.
