Your kin decides to find some food to bring back to the bonfire, to feed those hungry others gathered around the blaze. The advice is to stay close enough that the fire never goes out of their sight, but if you choose to venture farther, that's on you!
To head out on this adventure:
You must search three times to complete the task, either in the same area or different ones!
Pick from the above selections and follow the instructions contained within:
Fruit Grove
Roll 1d4 and match your roll to see what you find!
1 - The trees seem to have gone barren in this particular grove. You find only a solitary apple, dried out. You leave empty handed.
2 - You find a bush heavily laden with blackberries, and manage to break of an arm to carry back for a fruity feast.
3 - The pear trees are in full fruit. You fill your own belly, and then bring back what you can carry.
4 - Pomegranates! They look red and plump, but when you bring them back into the light, it turns out they're infested with worms.

Hunting Grounds
Roll 1d4 and match your roll to see what you find!
1 - You follow some squirrel tracks in soft mud. You don't find the beasts, but you do find their acorns for fall. Yum!
2 - For a moment, this seems to be prime hunting grounds. Then you step into someone else's trap and realize they've already been claimed...
3 - You're fairly certain you hear a lynx's furious growl through the underbrush. Best to steer clear.
4 - Carefully, you set some traps and manage to capture a fat prize. This will be a fine feast!

Down by the Water
Roll 1d4 and match your roll to see what you find!
1 - The water hasn't frozen over yet, and you see fish slithering not too far down. If you're quick, you can catch one!
2 - There are some thick reeds near the waterfront that are sweet and tasty, if a bit stringy. You can bring those back for the feast.
3 - Frogs! You're distracted chasing one that is very brightly colored through the shallow water and forget to search for goodies to bring back.
4 - As you lean in over the water's surface, you see eyes staring back at you. You don't actually see the caiman, but it frightens you enough to run off.

Quiet Clearing
Roll 1d4 and match your roll to see what you find!
1 - You slip on some slick grass and twist an ankle. For the rest of this thread, you'll have a bit of a limp.
2 - The area is heavy with flowers, and you're fairly sure they're edible. They're tasty, anyway! You bring a bundle back with you.
3 - Someone has planted some radishes and gourds in this area. You can either take them, or leave them for whoever put the effort in.
4 - It's dry and quiet and you decide that, instead of scavenging, you'll just take a little nap. You have a brief, disjointed dream.
