Name of Class: Your Very Own Halloween Costume!
Professor name: Professor Selene Apophis

General Information: This class is open to Amityville students as well as Horsemen!

Professor Selene has collected far too much memorabilia from her trips to the human world, especially during Halloween. She wants to put some of her collection to good use, by helping out anyone who wants to make an appropriate costume for the all too important Trick or Treating that occurs every Halloween in the human world! You get to keep what you put together here - you may even get to use her costume in her Halloween Helpers Field Trip or Professor Winter's Horseman mission, should you want to!

Mechanics:

Part One: Picking outfit pieces

There's boxes lined up all in a row, all of which are filled with colorful pieces of costumes from days gone by. You're allowed to pick out four pieces to make a costume, so make it count!

Roll 4d12. If you don't like the pieces you rolled in this option, you are allowed to try again one time! Matching pieces will give you more points!

As you can see, 1/2/3 is a match, 4/5/6 is a match, as is 7/8, 9/10, and 11/12. If you manage to match two pieces of an outfit, you get +2 to your final total. If you manage 3 pieces, you get +4 to your final total! If NONE of your pieces match, you get +1 added to your total for originality. Remember you are allowed to roll again if you don't like your first find, but you must roleplay both posts out (minimum 100 words each), and you can choose whichever of the two you like best!

Part Two:

Putting together your costume:

It's time to show Selene what you've chosen! Put the costume on and try to explain to her what you are, even if your pieces mismatch. Are you a pirate fairy? A Skeletal Pumpkin? That's horrifying! You must tell her a story (minimum 200 words) about the character you've created. You can even give it a name, a backstory, and a goal in life! Make it interesting, Selene loves to be enchanted with a good story!

Roll 1d6 with your explanation post. Add the total of this dice, to the points you made in part one. Match your total to the fields below!

Totals:
1-2: Selene is so disappointed in your lack of attention to detail. She doesn't even know if she should let you keep the costume you made.. you clearly don't care about it! (Fail)
3-4: Is.. is your professor about to cry? She looks like she's about to cry.. maybe you should have taken your work more seriously.. (Fail)
5-6: Selene says nothing, but puts a green star sticker on your forehead. For Effort! (Pass)
7-8: Well done! Selene is so enchanted by your story, that she's lost track of what she was doing. Oh, that's right! Giving you an A! (Pass)
9-10: Is.. is your professor about to cry? She looks like she's about to cry.. did you do something wrong? Was your costume not good enough? No, she's just.. so.. proud.. *SNIFF* (Pass)

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS CLASS WHEN…

You complete the class, whether you pass or fail. You get +1 rp point for completing, and another +1 point if you managed to go over 800 words.

Mahlan was, as usual, walking around the academy's halls, seeking for something interesting---

As she passed one of the classroom lining the hallways, some girlish shrieks and awws entered her ear-petal. Huh. Are there something happening in there? She peeked into the room and finds...

-a buttload of clothing articles. No, there is time and place for everything and anything, so why there's so much clothes dumped here?

Looking at the small paper tacked on the door with spellotape reveals this is a legit class by professor Selene-oh, she know that one. Stylish and quirky and...well, has a hobby of collecting things. She heard about that from the tsukumogami, which often being called to identify WHAT exactly she brought back from Human world. Mahlan asked if she can join the class without registering beforehand, and the pretty professor gives her an OK.

The aim for the class is to diminish her private collection of loot taken from human world as souvenir, eh, assemble a passing Halloween costume, a legacy passed down from...well, at this time Mah can see that was not the goal of this class, so she just meh-ed and picked out few things from the pile; a pirate's hat, blue fairy wings, and two swords.

Hrmmm. She knows a character using these things, but it's kinda childish. Should she picks another outfit?

She put the items back on the pile and searched for another set of costumes---she too a skeletons costume and a blue fairy dress.

Hmm. Can't she just combine the two items together? A pirate skeleton which dual-wield a sword, a blue fairy which dual-wield the sword...the swords are pretty sweet on its own.

So now she has two sets of costumes...no, screw that, in the end she was partial to the swords and doesn't care with the costume combinations.

So she has two swords, a set of blue fairy dress and wings, a skeleton costume and a pirate's hat. What character should she dress up with?

Oh who's she's gonna to lie? That Peter P...who was it? Porter? Parker? Poker? Oh, it must be Poker! Peter Porker...it's still sounds wrong, but who cares.

Well, it's the time to present the costume to the professor. But since it's a human-world clothes, she can't poof into it; she needs to physically change.

Eeeeeh. That sounds tiring. Not to mention she needs to control the sap around her body not to soil the cloth; it wasn't made from FEAR, after all.
But oh well. Mahlan took the costume she chosen and went into the makeshift dressing room at the corner...

It was the time for presentation. The Professor handling the class...or exactly, providing the costumes are getting into the judgement phase; it seems the criteria to passing this class are building full-set of costume...and providing them with a backstory enough to strike fear to anyone seeing it. Err, is it just her or, they're actively MAKING another Halloweener indirectly?

But she knew what to do. After all, she has read the story more than few times...
-yet Mahlan still forgets about the name of the protagonist of the story.

When it was her turn to present the costume, she twirled for a bit. On her back was blue wings, on her head was a pirate's hat and on her hands was two blades. She also took the blue dress and wore it like a sash. (costume match: Pirate hat and saber +2)

"Imma presume y'all has known tis' story before, ain't ya?" She grinned with something between childish innocence and a seafarer's mustached smile. "It'sa story about a fae that took children who didn't sleep in the night to Wanderland, where they will be kicked from their open window so hard they will fly! A story about the fae and her human slave! A story about the two of them against a righteous pirate with glorious achievement, which uses a giant crocodile as alarm clock! Yes, this is the fae from the story of..."

The students gulped down hearing that, yes, they all know this story. It's the story of-

"PETER PANG!"

*dosun!* all students on the class suddenly face-planted. "YOU GOT THE STORY RIGHT BUT THE NAME WRONG!?!" all of them protested, which Mahlan just 'te-hee'-d.

The professor face-palmed and gave her a passing grade using a small, green star-shaped sticker on her forehead "It's Peter FANG, by the way."
