[Bonfire Solo] Made Feast [Made Peace]

With so many kin gathered in one place, there was bound to be trouble. Made Peace had come with the intention of relaxing, for once, but a squabble over food would drive him from the bonfire -- of course it would. Some kin just couldn't settle things for themselves, could they? Promising to return with enough to keep everyone happy, the Totoma trudged away, oblivious to the fact that, well, the siblings only found something else to squabble about in the meantime.

Trundling his way down by the water, Truce thought he might give fishing a try. He'd acquired a taste for fish, living in the Swamp, and couldn't see anyone else turning it down. Peering into the water, what he spotted instead were some frogs, an even rarer sight to him.

In spite of his very serious self, Truce couldn't help splashing through the water in chase of an especially bright one, enthralled by its colors. He felt like a lamb all over again!

Shaking out his fur on the shore he'd eventually pulled himself back onto, he had no frog or fish (and had likely scared them all far, far away), but felt his mood lighten anyway. It felt good to let go and do something silly, for once, but Truce hadn't forgotten why he'd left the bonfire in the first place. Ah, well. Back to work.

Making his way over to a fruit grove nearby, Truce was surprised to find the trees in such a sorry state. This place must have been all picked over by the other kin at the celebration! He kicked a solitary, dried out apple abandoned on the trampled ground, then continued on.

Still a bit chilled by his brief dip in the water, Truce was already eager to get back to the heat of the flames. Once last check in, maybe in the hunting grounds to get the blood running and warm, and then he'd return.

Moving into the brush, stealth had never been this Totoma's way. His hoofsteps were heavy and he swung his head aggressively, eyes sharp for the larger, aggressive prey he'd fought in the mountains. For his efforts, Truce was rewarded with the screech of a lynx, startling him into a stumble. Augh, no. That was too much effort for those kids. He was getting too old for this.

The two kin were still in the spot Truce had left them, still fussing, only stopping when he shuffled back over to the bonfire. Well? had said one, expectant, and the Totoma only snorted loudly, before folding his legs under his bulk and warming himself as he watched the flames. "There's plenty elsewhere. Feed yourselves."

That got the siblings worked up all over again, arguing over the meaning of the festival. The cycle would repeat itself.
