As Sync waited for whoever the guy was who'd be his partner for the evening, he leaned against their assigned vehicle and reread their mission assignment on his 'dex. The university in Sandalwood had confiscated some rather unsavory research from some of its students - research that Team Rocket thought valuable - and had locked it in one of the offices on the third floor. Security was minimal, with only a couple night guards that patrolled more than one floor each and no cameras. Suggested attire was close-fitting clothing that would enable freedom of movement, in dark or muted colors that wouldn't attract unwanted attention; no uniforms to prevent university staff from connecting the theft to Team Rocket.

The grunt paused a moment to glance down at his own choice of clothing; a pair of dark jeans, sneakers and a black hoodie. That seemed perfectly acceptable to him. As a whole the mission didn't seem that difficult to him; sneak in, get the research, and sneak out before anyone knew they were there, let alone that they'd taken anything. He checked the time on his 'dex and frowned lightly; they weren't scheduled to meet for another five or so minutes, but he'd wanted to get there early and prepare before departing. That, and get the keys.

Dark, nondescript jeans. Black sneakers. Black hoodie... And now black hair. Adam blinked at himself in the mirror, feeling alien in the drab attire. It didn't help that the normal cheery blonde had been muted black by dye, dye which had supposedly been temporary. Temporary my a**. Casting himself a sardonic smile, he ran his tongue across his lips, empty of piercings, as was his hole face empty. It was dangerous to wear them on missions.

Adam stepped back from the mirror and checked that he had all three of his pokeballs on his belt. Recently he had purchased a pouch to go on it, and inside he had two potions and a pokeball. His pokedex rested in an inner zipper pocket of his hoodie. Everything was secure, and that meant there was no more time to dawdle. Getting his shoes, he tied them on tight and left his room.

He made it to the garage on time, the smell of oil and rubber busting across his senses. Swallowing to wet his dry throat, he cast a gaze across the lot. There were other rockets, but one in particular was out of uniform as well as waiting. That must be his partner for the night. Adam approached Sync with a friendly, open expression and a waving hand. "'Sup, man? You Sync? I'm Bones. Looks like we're partners. Ready to roll?"

Some black-haired guy in casual wear approached and Sync's gaze swept over to him, looking over him briefly with undisguised and mild curiosity. Presumably this would be the Rocket he'd be working with tonight. "Bones? Seriously?" A smirk slipped into his expression, but rather than continue the thought he instead gave the keys in his hand a brief shake, jingling them a bit to signify his readiness, and merely said, "I've been ready."

Gripping the keys more securely in his hand, the grunt turned and opened the door to their assigned vehicle before slipping into the driver's seat. As far as he was concerned, if Bones had wanted to drive, he should've gotten there earlier. Wordlessly he secured his seat belt then started the car, content with silence. Contrary to Adam's open, friendly demeanor, Sync's expression lacked any warmth or friendliness despite his faintly amused smirk.
