It seems like everyone is in the Holiday spirit - even the Staff at Amityville Academy! They're all on duty today, and they've all opened their office doors for those students (or horsemen!) that want to do a little trick-or-treating.
Adjusting the hat of her witch's costume, Indu gave herself a long look in her room's mirror. Spooky? Check. Candy pail? Check. Mental defences against whatever mind-numbingly inane and ridicule-worthy things would be thrown at her by the psychotic staff of this institute? Check. While this might be a fun little social mixer for other students, Indu intended to use it for two purposes. One, make the acquaintances of staff members that might give her leverage later in her student career. Two, training. The more practice she had at trick or treating, the better. Even if this was going to be quite different from the real thing, she was certain. With a firm step and a determined eye, she marched out of her room, making a beeline for the staff offices in the main school.

Kamakura glared at himself in the mirror through the eyes of his pumpkin mask. He'd chosen a particularly frightful looking getup, and made sure it had sharp-teeth. Even if it was behind a mask, he made a face as he raised his arms up, hands shifting into claws in order to try and make himself look all the more intimidating. His tail flicked behind him, as he smirked behind the mask. It was certainly spooky enough for the occasion.
A chance to get a little candy with trick or treating meant a few things. Delightful goods and a chance to practice the art of scaring didn’t sound like a half bad idea. While he wasn't so sure how close it'd be to a real life experience it was still better than nothing. After he was sure he was ready, he took off leaving his dorm and made his way down to the office. While still a bit unsure of himself, the now year 2 demon felt it was in his best interest to try and get to know some of his other teachers perhaps a little better. He’d been fairly reclusive until the last few months, but at least he was trying.
Once he was down at the office, the nekomata’s ears perked up as he smiled at the familiar face of Indu. “Fancy meeting you here! You’re costume is super spooky I like it.” He complimented, smiling toothily behind his mask at her. The cat boil placed a hand on his hip as he stepped beside her, his bag for holding onto candy close at hand. He’d chosen a respectable medium sized candy bag he intended to try and fill to last him the next couple weeks at least.
For what it was worth he actually appeared to be glad to see the ghoul, and actually moved a little closer to her. If they were going to visit with the facility, it couldn’t hurt to do it together after all right?
Cafeteria Overlord Caroline's office is less of an office and more-- literally the back of the Creepateria. No costume is required, but a hearty trick or treat is. Minigame:
Caroline has cupcake materials laid out for you to decorate. Better make spooky enough, or else she won't be very generous. Roll 4d4 3 times and match your results.
4-8: You manage to make an extremely cute cupcake. Yikes... 8-12: Congratulations! This one is, at least, a tiny bit spoopy. You get 1 candy. 12-15: Success! You made a cupcake not even a mother could love. You get 2 candies. 16: Caroline flinched upon seeing your decoration. You get 4 candies!
Once you've gotten your candies from Caroline, you may move on! NOTE: If you are bug related in any way, you get +1 additional candy.
Perking up and looking considerably more stern as the boil approached, Indu gave a little wave. "Oh! Hi!" She gave a small spin at the compliment, allowing the dress to balloon out. "Thanks! It was a class project. I like your mask." Following the signs set up to guide students, she hesitated slightly as the first faculty member's location seemed to be the creepateria. "I hope we don't have to bake anything to get candies." The grumble was slightly sotto voce and she shot Kama a look of mutual suffering. "If I see one gnome out in the halls tonight I think I'm going to scream. Did you try that course set up in the woods? They were everywhere - like rats."
As they arrived at the faculty's candy donation station Indu did feel quite relieved. Decorating cupcakes was more arts and crafts than cooking. It seemed as though she wouldn't be breaking her iron promise to never lift another ladle until at least second year. Her first cupcake was quite the success, and she happily pocketed the candies. If she had to say, the reason she thought it was so well received was that the border of eyeballs she had carefully placed was classic, tasteful, and timeless.

Handing over her second cupcake, Indu was aware that she had accidentally messed up the order. Giving a small curse in her head, the ghoul chastised herself for being so eager to show off her best creation. She had planned originally to give the worst first, then gradually working up to the creepiest one for the finale, to keep things impressive. But when it had come time to show her creations, her jacking fingers had closed around the best.
As it was, she shuffled reluctantly as she handed over her second best cupcake, well aware of the failures of the final one sitting on the table. Looking down at the one candy she had been handed in return, Indu made a face and shuffled to stand in front of her remaining piece. If this was all she had gotten for her second best, she wasn't sure she'd be getting anything for her third.
As she predicted when she handed her final cupcake up, it got not a single candy in return. The pink icing bag, intended to be used for brains, had squirted a huge amount of icing - more than she had intended. The entire cupcake was a saccharine rosy hue. She had tried to repair it but there was no fixing a mistake like that, was there. Slightly mirroring the cupcake's color from embarrassment, Indu glanced down at her candy pail and gave it a rattle. Not exactly a massive load, but she supposed it was acceptable. Moving away from the decorating table, she turned to wait for her trick or treating partner, giving him an encouraging wave and thumbs up. He could do it!

The catboil smiled in appreciation as she did a little twirl, admiring the billowing dress with a nod of agreement. However her very next comment had the year 2 staring at her pointedly. "I really am not in this to fight off a bunch of rabid gnomes again...I hope you're right and this will go smoothly." The color drained from his face as the catboil scoffed at the notion of it being another repeat like their baking session from earlier. The thought was stressful, and the demon rolled his eyes at the notion. Sighing he went to head for the back of the Creepateria in order to interact with their first instructor.
What he found was quite wonderful, as opposed to sour and jacking awful. The candy station seemed legit enough. Decorating cupcakes actually didn't sound half bad by his standards, baking was one thing. Learning how to make them look good was another entirely. Setting out to do at least a decent job, he wanted to make them look extra spooky and added a bit of blood (food dye) for effect. He did well enough to receive a piece of candy initially which was pleasing at least.
After delivering his first cupcake, Kamakura returned to work on the next. It was easy to mess up on frosting he figured, it seemed like a delicate art to actually making them look both practical and appear tasty. At least the theme was easy enough to make creepy and spooky, appearance was more for fun than actual appeal he decided. Not many found gooey ooey things delicious, although there was always the exception to the rules.
Humming he got back to work as he tried to spruce up his cupcake the best he could. However this time, instead of delivering an actually frightful delight, he instead creeped into the realm of cutesy. So by the time he actually was ready to deliver it, it was no wonder the instructor cringed. Yikes, that green made it look like grass, and the monsters eyes were too big and rounded he'd tried to pipe onto the cupcake. Oh well, he'd tried right?
Annoyed he'd done "poorly" in making a cup cupcake, Kamakura this time was determined to make up for the second one he'd turned in. Grabbing the pink icing bag, he carefully began piping a brain onto the cupcake. He added blackened and red bits to look like it had been bitten off, and even make it appear like the brain matter and cherry filling oozed from the top and down the sides to make it fairly sloppy and disgusting like it had just been bitten into. He even made sure when the cupcake was moved, it wiggled just a bit. Although it wasn't an absolutely perfect design, he most certainly took his time to really enhance the entails.
When the demon was satisfied he slipped up to the counter, and placed the messy, bloody design right in front of Ms. Caroline with a large grin. Not even mother could love that mess, and for his efforts he was passed over two pieces of candy much to his delight. Adding them to his candy bag, he slipped away to leave the Creepeteria after thanking the Creepateria Overlord.
Waiting by the exit to the large lunchroom, he waited for his companion although he wouldn't have blamed her if she wanted to go off and trick or treat by herself. Before he left he gave Caroline a wave, and wished her a Happy Halloween from his position near the wall.
