(Semi ORP for Team Rocket members only. Feel free to involve your characters any way you see fit for the story. there is no "plan" for how this plot will progress. this RP will progress differently depending on the actions and involvement (or lack there of) of player characters. Feel free to ask me questions, but new info for IC reasons will need to be discovered ICly)

Following an exciting event in the labs, that landed two of the scientists involved in the infirmary, and a full scale investigation going down, only rumors and speculation as to what happened was going down. No one seemed to have the same story, though the consensus is that something was lost, and the Agents involved were under investigation.
Many Rockets were curious for the actual events, seeking out possible truths, while others were content just enjoying the vast number of stories.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One Agent in particular, was not. as part of internal investigations, Agent Bishop in the Intel department was one of the Agents given the task of looking into the incident at the labs, and determined what happened.
Earlier that morning he had over herd the Robotic's department lead Agent, Agent Faleen, had uncharacteristically now showed up for her shift that day, and was not answering her dex.
The name had sounded familiar for him, prompting a glance through his files to discover that Agent Faleen was one of the Agents asked to be a part of the project that had literally blown up in their faces.
That was not his job though, it was the task of the Tech department to find out why their Agents were not at work.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It had been a long time since the Science lab has suffered a loss of subject and equipment. Many of the Grunts and Agents not involved with that particular project, It had been a joined one with the Robotics department.
Many of the Scientists knew what the project was, and what exactly was missing, thus recruited to help locate the missing the missing subject worth hundreds of thousands.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On this day, the Robotics department felt much different, everyone was on edge, confused and non productive.
It wasn't like Faleen at all to miss a shift, let alone not respond to her Rocket Dex, a few Grunts even voiced the Agent acting particularly strange the last two days ever since she was put under investigation with the lab accident, and they started to wonder if this had anything to do with it.
The absent had been reported to the Tech lead, and hoping someone would be sent out to check her quarters.
Most of the Rockets in the Robotic lab had no idea what the project was they were working on, though its suspected a few of the higher ranking Agents had been in on the project with Faleen.
Izaya was not appreciative of being kept in the dark. This was probably to be expected of an informant, but for someone who made his hobby his job, not even being a traitor could make him keep his nose out of others' business. The ex-Rocket still lived on base. This meant that even if he wasn't directly told what was going on or had the access to information that other Rockets did, he still heard whispers, rumors, news, and gossip going around.
At first he just kept his ears open and his head down as he did his work like a good subordinate. As soon as he'd started hearing about Faleen by name, though, he began to actively seek out information on the matter involved. She may not have been his partner anymore, but she was still a Rocket and one of his beloved humans, not to mention one of the people in charge of him as an experiment. If something had happened to her, he felt it naturally his business to know.
Finally, after hitting what he felt was a dead end with the Rockets he regularly interacted with, Izaya decided to go straight to the source. He took a cart of cleaning supplies with the pretense of heading to the Robotics lab to do janitorial work, but his true goal was of a different nature. Perhaps those who knew of his role as an experimental subject would recognize him and send him away, believing him to be looking into his own experimentation, but maybe not. They probably had enough on their hands to worry about without keeping tabs on him and what he should or shouldn't have been doing.
Tech Department
While Izaya wouldn't have the clearance to enter the Robotics lab itself, He would be in luck that a few of the techies from different departments were gathered in some of the break rooms on that level. Most of them seemed to me muttering or chatting about the recent events.
"Yeah well for you it might be normal-" A blond man with green eyes said, pointing to one other other Agents while still holding a paper cup of coffee. "But Our lead never misses a day, she'll come in when she's sick, and we have to practically force her to go back to her quarters."
The other tech, a brunette with spiked hair arched an eyebrow "So then maybe she's really sick? Wasn't she in that explosion a couple of days ago?"
"There could have been some complications that the medics didn't catch." A third Agent said, her face growing pale at the idea running through her head "We've got someone going to her quarters to check right? What if she got a brain injury? She has been acting really strange ever since the accident!"
Tech Department - Break Room
Time to sweep in the break room! With a trainee cap low over his face, Izaya kept quiet as he got to work. He glanced up every so often to make note of the speakers and their addressees as well as their physical attributes and ranks. All of his observation skills were put to the test as he garnered every tiny gem of information he could manage. With each of his five senses and his ability to read into the information he gathered from them, he managed to learn a few new important things.
By the sound of it, they were talking about Faleen, but that much was obvious. Izaya knew she was the head of the Robotics department, which meant the blond with green eyes was in that department and presumably worked close enough and long enough with Faleen to know her habits. Said habits sounded like Aila's, but that, too, was something the ex-Rocket already knew.
An explosion...so that rumor had been true. He hadn't realized Faleen had been one of the ones caught up in it, though. What did they mean when they said she had been 'acting strange'? And...where could she be right now? She almost never left base; not if she could help it. People were known to have changed personalities when a certain part of their brain got damaged, Izaya knew.
It made sense if she had hit her head. But even if he had gone to the infirmary, what reason was there for them to give him her information? Concern? No. He wasn't her partner anymore. There was no practical reason for him to be allowed access to her medical information. What to do, then? It seemed like all he could do was continue to sweep and listen.
Tech Department
"What if she had bleeding in the brain! They... they would have caught that right?" the women seemed to pale further.
"I'm sure the Elite will get someone on checking her soon... Arceus I hope you're wrong, the last thing we need is another Agent dead. especially right in the middle of that new project." The blond frowned, lowering his lips to the cup of coffee he was holding, taking a moment to blow on it while his eyes glanced up to his companions, pausing as they drifted over to others that were gathered in the room, one in particular who had just come in.
"... Hey... Trainee, aren't you...?" He continued, with a tone of curious uncertainty.
Faleen had been right about one thing. Juggling between Tech and Robotics was a difficult task. Adam tried to take it slow, acclimating to both sides, but found it more work than he had anticipated. Eventually he'd need to pick a department and just stick there. Until then... Well...
Swiping the dex to get into Robotics, the grunt blinked at the very odd atmosphere. "The ******** is up? Someone die?" He'd heard the rumors, so maybe the joke was tasteless, but it was the quickest way to get tongues waggling.
Robotics Lab
"Foul mouthed as ever, Adam, and late to the party." one of the grunts taking inventory on equipment near by spoke, not looking up from the data pad he held. "One of Agent Faleen's joined projects with the science labs blew up yesterday. So if you consider that our department just lot a crap ton in a funded project... then yeah, someone might as well have died."
Another grunt who was seated on the ground, also taking inventory gave the two an exasperated look "Can we get back to work, its hard enough knowing we'll have a hammer coming down on this department's head for it. Adam, hurry up grab a pad and help us with inventory."
[Tech department]
"Bleeding brains?" Aulus asked from the doorway of the break room. "Who's that now?"
The tech department was not his usual haunt of course, nobody came down to the level just for fun because there was no sodding place you could go other than little break rooms like this one. Since acquiring an expensive piece of personal technology however he'd started coming down regularly for maintenance checks, which meant waiting in a break room until somebody came to see him through the secure doors to see whoever he was marked down to see that day.
Nodding to a couple of people he vaguely knew - yes, even Izaya - Aulus entered the room proper. There had been... some kind of incident down here, practically everyone knew that by now and there seemed to be more stories about what had happened than there were actual Rockets on the base. Seen as he was here anyway perhaps he could actually find out some truth, or was that just wishful thinking?
Tech Department
The tech with the spiky hair paused a moment to push the glasses on his face up a little higher, looking over the muscle bound Agent as he came into the room, allowing his gaze to drift over the mechanical arm, no doubt a product of the Robotics department.
"Brain bleeding, like what can happen after a brain trauma." He explained "We're trying to come up with a viable reason as to why someone's behavior would change, or spontaneously die."
The female Agent reached a hand out to push against the programmer's shoulder "Don't put that out in the universe!"
"I'm NOT its a theory! Its not like we know it actually happened." He looked back to Aulus "You're not a tech, what brings you down here?"
"That much huh..?" Grabbing a pad, he took a seat on the ground as well and began to scroll through the data, "Anything super big we lost? Y'know, high end tools, things not easily replaced?"
An explosion? That didn't sound good... Not at all, "Is Faleen in the infirmary, then? Explosion and stuff... She must've gotten banged up."
Robotics Lab
"I have no idea, the Agents in this department aren't too open with the grunts about all the projects. It was in the science labs anyway, so most of what was lost was their own equipment... that's why they've got us doing inventory today, to see what we need to be replaced."
the first grunt said, lowering his pad with a slight frustrated tone, It wasn't like inventory was the most entertaining job in the world.
He looked over to Adam "I don't know whats up with Faleen, but she didn't show up today."
"I assume she wasn't hurt, she was here the last two days." the other Grunt said, letting out a hiss as he stood up from his crouch, stretching his back out "It looks like we're all good on the welding torches, Adam, why don't you stand with the hard drives."
Tech Department
"Aren't scientists supposed to be into theories?" Aulus asked of the sceptical female agent with a hint of smirk. "Pursuit of truth and knowledge and all that jazz isn't it? Form a reasonable hypothesis and then test the b*****d to destruction, or alpha level of your choice." He was damned if he really remembered how alpha levels worked - other than being a percentage certainty thing and 0.05 was a thing? - but it was just a comment.
Turning to the spiky-haired guy he waved his metallic right hand. "Supposed to come down every couple of weeks so the robotics team can check up on how this thing is doing, Faleen did most of the work on it but I don't need to see her for simple diagnostics."
Robotics Lab
Adam pursed his lips, as if tasting the new information. "I heard it was joint between Tech and Robotics, right? Or was it... Robotics and Science? Lots of rumors." Maybe all three. What could they be doing together?
"Yeah sure, man." Standing with a soft grunt, Adam moved to where the hard drives were kept and began to take inventory. As he scanned numbers and cross checked them with the real deals, he continued to drawl out conversation, "So if she was here like that, then gone... That doesn't sound good. Was she weird when she was here? I mean, weirder than normal?" Adam grinned over his shoulder, hoping the joke would lighten the room.
Tech Department
The spiky haired brunette arched his eyebrows, glancing Aulus over "Programming theory maybe, but I'm not a medical theorist. How am I supposed to know what happened to someone's brain when they're in an explosion?"
His brow furrowed. "This isn't the medical department."
"Faleen worked on it-" The girl voiced up, stepping forward to look at his arm "If you're okay with someone else working on it... I can take a look."
Robotics Lab
"From what I hear it happened in the Science labs, but who knows, at least it didn't happen here,"
The second Grunt replied, making his way over toward the next shelf to start counting out the gas canisters.
As Adam does the inventory for the hard drives, he would discover that four of the hard drives are missing from the shelf.
"I don't know, The Agents were saying that she was acting weird. And her Carvanha have been over there swimming around like something's bothering them. I didn't see her, but its really unlike any of the Agents to just not show up for their shift."
