Kids Channel Nickelodeon Debuts Married Gay Couple in Cartoon Series 'The Loud House'

The children's television network Nickelodeon plans to introduce a biracial, same-sex couple into one of its newest cartoon shows.

According to the entertainment news outlet Variety, Nickelodeon is on the midst of introducing the network's first-ever married same-sex couple in the cartoon series "The Loud House," which premiered this May.

The cartoon couple, Harold and Howard McBride, are voiced by comedian Wayne Brady and actor Michael McDonald and will debut in the series when the new episode "Overnight Success" airs on Wednesday.

As the series focuses on the life of the show's protagonist, Lincoln Loud, and his 10 sisters, Harold and Howard McBride are the parents of one of Loud's friends, Clyde McBride.

It is not just entertainment, but telling the children watching something about the world and disseminating norms, values and ideologies. How often have you seen a mainstream TV-show where someone who disagrees with gay marriage or any of the other hot topics that the world embrace/affirm portrayed in if not a fair way, then at least thorough or accurate manner? People who hold an opposing view are always portrayed as ignorant, hateful or in some other demeaning way. I am pretty sure you won't see on TV an accurate representation of an alternative view, because it is representing and trying to establish just one worldview with its particular norms and values.

On the one hand, I am not surprised. But that doesn't make it any less disappointing. Sigh. Oh, world. May the Living God have mercy on these children and send them wisdom. And save them from these idols / false ways—which are hard to speak against when you're older because of the nostalgia that one has for the characters. Only by loving Jesus / the Word of God more will they break out of it.

Amen to that and i am quite disappointed about this. That Cartoon network i grew up to when i was younger and hearing that they are teaching such thing like this it sends a message that being gay is ok which it is not. God had made men and women so that one day a women would find the husband she would have a biblical and spiritual marriage with. I do deeply pray for those children that they will be saved from these kind of things. In Jesus Name Amen smile
