Got it, Kai thought to the others, checking his supplies before they headed up to the cave which Katherine indicated. He could sense the presences of the other groups across the river, somewhat nearby, but perhaps they'd avoid each other. Reaching their shelter, Kai retrieved a few tags from his sleeve seals, tossing them around the inside of the entrance of the cave. With that, a glass-like effect would occur momentarily, and soon after that the creases in the air would cease and become perfectly transparent. To demonstrate what he had done for his team, he stuck his hand through the entrance of the cave, and his hand would seemingly disappear from sight. Seals of invisibility, as one might call them, bent light around the cave and would make them nonexistent for any who happen to peak inside.
At some point Izuru mentioned to his group that his eyes were obstructed past a certain point, and that he only had an effective visual range of one-thousand and five-hundred feet around them at all times, roughly a quarter of his normal vision range when utilizing his visual asset. Following his Kage's unclear instructions to the best of his power, Izuru placed himself where he was ordered to because bullshit and did as he was told which was keeping an ever watchful eye over them. Of course, he continued to follow his previous instructions of not leaving a trail which he managed to do by floating/flying rather than walking. Eventually he and Kai lead the group to the cave that Katherine had pointed out and the collective bunch came to a halt as Kai began to poke around the entrance to said cave.
Once the veil had been pulled over the front of the cave, Izuru gave a nod of approval while offering a shrug at the same time.
"Good idea, but let's just hope Koshu-san or Kuhaku sensei don't come this way. They both have one of my inheritances, so they could see through this little trick one way or another, but good work nonetheless. It's a nifty and valuable resource to have." Izuru would inform the group if the top level of the cave was clear of any sort of creature as well as their surroundings, and after giving the go ahead, he would usher them inside the cave. However, if he detected anything crucial or out of the ordinary he would immediately report it.

If the Magician is willing to part with their ability to summon other hierarchies on the traditional summoning list, they may choose to have one much more powerful familiar, complete with a sage mode of its own. The sage mode--however--must at least mirror the current standard of sage modes in the guild, no stronger. Whereas the single summoned familiar may be more powerful than a boss summon, as it is the only summonable companion they get. if their outside chakra source is destroyed, so is their connection to this companion. Like the chakra source, this disconnection is only temporary, and can be repaired outside of battle. • Dragon Breathing Technique The user's breathing further capitalizes on their strength and allows them to stand their ground against attacks that would, normally, knock them on the floor. As long as the user can breathe, their feet will not leave the ground unless they are dislodged by a force far greater than them, such as violent winds that rip trees from the ground, or the forces of gravity. • Enduring Soul The user, after training under intense circumstances, can withstand four times the amount of weight their body holds, and lift twice their body weight with one arm. Lifting four times the weight of the body requires both arms, and will, essentially, make the user unable to move while it strains their body. That being said, that can endure massive amounts of pressure very early on, meaning that most hits will not faze them when combined with the Dragon Breathing Technique. They can still be damaged and die, but they will never cease their advance. • We're just getting started! This ability takes away the user's ability to attack for the post they're doing it. Users that have learned Heavy Stander also have a hard time losing their balance or getting dizzy. This removes the ability to feel nauseous given that the user is trained enough in standing under so much pressure that their bodies have acclimated to the feeling of sickness. Having followed the sensei's instructions, Zephyr had sunken into the water to follow Kat. He moved faster in the water, much more fluid, he was truly in his element and unlike the others (besides Katherine) he didn't have to worry about hypothermia. He was genetically engineered for this though.
Ultimately he knew the other two had reached the cave, his head popped up from the water and looked around to see Katsu, er, Kai to start putting seals up around to hide the caves entrance. It wasn't a bad idea but if they had sensory abilities they would automatically know someone was hiding here and be a dead give away as to where if there were no seals it would just be seen as a cave. He shrugged, he guess like anything it had an upside and a downside. He sat there swimming with his head sticking out, he really didn't want to get out. The water felt so nice.

Katherine's clone stopped safely from her landhop just about the entrance of the cave, looking over them to see if anyone had left any tracks at all. Unable to see anything major, Katherine-c nodded her head and allowed the boy to go about setting up his seals. She listened absentmindedly to what Izuru had to say to the boy while she herself tested the invisibility seal on the entrance to the cave. Crafty indeed. Not every bandit group or rival shinobi squad has the power of perception, so it would be good to get into the habit of setting up even the most rudimentary of distractions. Kat-c nodded her head to what Izuru said and spoke. "Now that home base has been established, for now anyway, the next thing on our agenda is ensuring those of us who don't have ice in their veins can survive the night, and also the matter of-" she would be cut off as the real Kat, from below the surface, threw a pair of large, already dead fish from the water. "Food. Which is another reason I am glad this stream runs so close to a cave, actually. We can dine on fish all the way up to the top of the mountain." With that, Katherine under the water would tap sharkboy on the shoulder and direct him to do what she had just done a few more times. Kat-c spoke once more. "Now, how would you all like to proceed from here. We can put the food in a stock pile in the cave, and I can freeze it to keep it fresh, and then we can go about hunting your allies, or we can bunker down and wait for them to come to us. It's really up to you, but my recommendation is to send out a scout, such as myself, to go farther out than your eyes can see while the four of you keep watch with your various sensory abilities. However I'm open to better, or different ideas." Hers was purposefully basic.

Let's split the team, Kai telepathically communicated. Leave Izuru and Zephyr here to gather fish and other food and freeze them, utilizing Izuru's byakugan to help spot and kill them without ending up with a mess which would expose us. Katherine, who's a stealth and speed specialist, and myself can go 'scout' out other teams with my sensory abilities. Given that my abilities are much more... subtle than Izuru or Zephyr's, I believe this combination between assassin and manipulator to be most optimal to dispose of the enemy early on when they're unprepared without abandoning our other priorities.

[Otogakure] - [Genin] - [Hyuuga] - [Magician]
Izuru turned his gaze towards the fish on the ground and hovered his way on over to them and scooped the first bunch up in his arms.
"I'll deal with cleaning and cooking the fish while observing the surroundings." With that said, the little white haired Genin carried the fish into the cave and found a rock to sit on that was close enough to another appropriately sized rock or boulder or rock formation in the cave that could be used as a table for the fish. Placing the soon to be digested food on the rock table, Izuru took a step away from his seat and crouched down while pulling out a bundle of cloth seasalt taffy wrappers from his pocket and placing them at his feet. Reaching into the holster on his right thigh he retrieved a kunai and began to neatly place the wrappers into a pile.
While it might appear to others that Izuru was absorbed into the in front of him that was not the case, for with the Byakugan one can see everything at once. From here Izuru would begin to attempt to clash his kunai against a sizeable rock in order to create sparks, and angle it so that said sparks would ark towards the wrappers and hopefully catch the flammable material alight. Should he succeed and the wrappers catch alight, Izuru would go and grab some wood to keep the fire burning as well as picking up any fish that may have been tossed onto the shore.
[[ Making it more fun for myself, so I'll be adding dice rolls for Izuru for certain tasks or such for a chance of failing at it. Odds are success, evens are failures.
Edit: So in this case, since I rolled a failure, Izuru didn't go out to begin collecting wood and more fish because he failed to light his tinder, so next post I'll be starting with him still struggling with it.

The teleport had caught Hana completely unawares, but that didn't make her any less accustomed to the sensation of reality-bending movement. She landed steady on her own two feet, her only sources of disorientation coming from the unfamiliar surroundings and the surprise displacement. Still clutching the yet unidentified tuber in one hand, Hana looked around wide-eyed, partly in fear and partly in suspense.
Hana identified as she tried to get a sense of her bearings as quickly as possible, The fear left her, but her wide eyes remained as she widened her stance and brought her arms up defensively, Hana's hands nervously clenched her tuber, the one fruit of all her hard work that she managed to bring, and warily watched her "enemies." For all she knew, and she was assuming as such, they had used a high-level space-time technique to bring her straight into the lion's den to pick off her squad's overall power. She had to at least try to make a dashing escape or a respectable defense.
Hoping that her connection to Ayura was still intact, Hana reached out to him in mild panic, searching for at least the thoughts of someone familiar in this very bad situation.
(OOC: According to Dak, it's an inexplicable teleport to you guys. If I'm wrong, then blame him.)
Katherine sucked on her teeth in a very annoyed manner when she was presented with another teleportation and teamwork shift, such as what was the norm when the mountain exercise began. She saw izuru and Zephyr get swepped away, instead watched Hana fall from the rip in reality. The real Katherine emerged from the water silently behind Hana, while the clone held up her hands. "I just got word from the advisory board. The teams have been switched. Welcome to team Golden Experience, Hana," Katherine's clone told her as, still in her undetected state approached. The Kage placed a hand on the shoulder of the girl, wet and sudden would be the sensation on her body. Katherine, both of them, put a finger up to her lips to keep her quiet, and she thought to Kai. "Mental connection to her please Kai," her mental words would echo to him, and after he did so, Katherine would explain in a concise manner that: The Cave was their current base of operations, Espionage was the name of their game to the best that they could do it, Kai was a Yamanaka Nara and thereby was able to mentally connect everyone, and that Ayura would be joining them shortly. Beyond that, the clone would finally move out to begin her surveillance. "The shadow clone is going out to do some recon, maybe launch a surprise attack. For now, we can bunker down here until the clone dies. Izuru had begun preparing a rather large fish for food, as this is a survival experiment. I purposely chose to keep us on a path along the river, just so you know, because it will work well with my elements. Kai, you sense anything out ahead of my clone? Relay the info to us if you can, when you become aware of other presences." With that, Katherine would look to Hana expectantly. "Thoughts, comments, concerns suggestions?"

Ayura's eyes went wide as he began to rush in the direction Hana was standing when she was swallowed by the rift. His hands shot into his pockets, pulling out two chess pieces as another rift opened up and encased him. It was under a second, space-time jutsu such as this always was. However, during that fraction of a second all of Ayura's senses began to heighten as we felt himself slipping into protection mode. If somebody was trying to seize Hana or hurt her, then he was going to have to hold them off for as long as he could until help arrived-if help arrived.
The rift deposited him and Ayura orientated himself quickly, landing on his feet as his hands moved into action. Hana. Find Hana. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw her and leapt in front of her as his hand threw two small pieces into the ground between the two other shapes in the clearing. Ayura could feel the adrenaline pumping through his system and dricing him onward as he whipped out a kunai with one hand and his other hand formed a handsign; already his was performing the jutsu to activate the chess pieces he had thrown onto the ground. All he had to do now was size up his oppo.....nents.
Ayura sighed and felt his body slowly unwind itself. The kunai found itself back into his pocket and with a wave of his hands the chess pieces were in his hands again before both things were shoved into the deep pockets on his jacket. The intensity that was momentarily in his eyes was gone, replaced instead by a lackadaisical look as his eyes drilled into what must have been another genin and the Otokage. In a way, he was thrilled it was the Otokage who had summoned them though his nerves were still fighting him to not trust her, not trust the genin by her side. We might be ninja in the sound, but neither of us grew up here. We're here for proposes outside out control. The thought fluttered quickly through his mind as he remained standing in front of Hana.
Thankfully, Ayura heard the last of what the Otokage said and began to realize that the teams had been changed. He wondered why but turned his thoughts elsewhere. "Lady Otokage, a pleasure to have you lead the both of us." A short bow was given for professionalism and the sake of respect. The boy that also stood in the clearing though? Knowing it was rude, Ayura didn't give turn to him or introduce himself. Part of himself hated doing that but there was still a part of him on edge and he wanted to keep his focus on their new leader for now. So with that, Ayura waited.
Kai connected the new two to the mental network. He could, also, just read their minds and figure out what they're thinking and their background, but felt no interest in doing so.
I'm going to scout out the enemy, so I'll be passed out for a while Kai thought aloud, looking up at a falcon of some sort he sensed in the trees. He raised a hand, aiming the palm at the bird, and launched is consciousness into the animal, leaving him unceremoniously inanimate.

Hana took the sudden unannounced changes in stride. She nodded and did a small mock salute when told that she was joining Team Golden Experience. "Yes, ma'am Otokage," was all she could get out before Ayura rushed in front of her.
Hana watched Ayura carefully. When he looked like he had a grip on the situation and was done with what he wanted to say, she peeked out behind him, ready to leisurely greet the other genin. However, the Yamanaka formed a connection before she could say anything. Hana visibly perked up. Tentatively, she accepted the connection, assuming it was something that had to do with just joining Team Golden Experience. Although, she was too concerned about it to be speaking. It felt sort of like what she had with Ayura, but she couldn't send messages through it.
For a while, nothing came of the connection Hana accepted. However, the Otokage give a brief synopsis of the key elements of the group's status during the mental silence. "Izuru?" Hana wondered aloud. She could see a fire with a fish cooking but no one tending to it. Then she realized that he must have been a genin that was swept away just as she and Ayura were swept in. "Oh. I'll help with the fish," Hana volunteered as she stepped out from behind Ayura, swinging a hand up to get people to notice her. "Before that, though," there was one thing Hana was curious about, "What will we do once we find an 'enemy'? Engage them? Avoid them?". Personally, Hana would like to avoid. Not because she was scared, but because she knew that she didn't have anything to hit an enemy with. However, she didn't think it was her place to make that sort of suggestion without knowing what the intended plan was.
At around that time, Hana received her first mental communication. Assuming that it came from the other genin, it concerned her quite a bit. "Ah," Hana tried to say, "Wait," but it was too late. Kai had passed out before she could say any sort of greeting. More importantly, though, Kai had still been standing when he decided that it was a great time to just leave his body. As quickly as she could, Hana ran over to Kai, hoping to cushion the body's fall, concerned for the potential injuries an uncontrolled fall can place on a body. She would be much too slow for that, though.

(OOC: Yamanaka telepathy is only outgoing. Kai can talk to us mentally but we can't talk to him. It also doesn't let him figure out what others are thinking and their backgrounds. At least, the telepathy passive doesn't. I don't know if there's another tech or ability that does.)
Ayura showed himself, and Katherine made a pleased face at him. He spoke about the time her own clone would have left everyone's ability to perceive her presence. She nodded to Ayura before speaking to him. "Pleasure to have you both. Now let's hope things don't get bounced around anymroethan that." She cleared her throat as Kai sent himself into the bird, looking where his handseal had been pointed to determine where he had sent himself. When Hana caught his body, Katherine pointed towards the cave, walking quickly entering before answering further questions. Once inside, Katherine waited until they were somewhat deeper inside and explained the plan. "Ok, so as for engaging or not, like i said before, espionage is the name of the game. My goal with the old squad was to hole up for nightfall here in this cave about a mile or so from the pool, and obscuring fog, and then we would determine our position between the three teams. Now that there are only two teams on the mountain, my clone will locate the enemy, or Kai will and then presumably return, and then we will decide based on their level or readiness and skill. With the rebalancing of teams, I think our best bet is just to avoid them. If we do have to engage... well we have three support oriented shinobi and then me, who struggles to do things without killing people. Alright I guess that means you guys will back me up while i apply offensive pressure. Stay grouped, since Ayura can provide offensive support, and defensive by virtue of his skill set. Hana is a medic. Obviously keep her safe even if... she is rather unexperienced as of yet. Whenever Kai wakes up, his ability to hijack an enemy is also particularly useful in this situation all things considered. Concisely put, lets avoid fighting if we can." With her summation, she sat on her heels, waiting for her clone to puff back while, assumedly, hana got back to preparing the fish.
