Ajicka snorted a bit at the image, apparently, surprisingly, actually finding the humor in it. Not enough to give a proper laugh, but she smirked wryly. "I'm sure they've dealt with worse," she pointed out, walking along the boardwalk, searching around for any eggs. She'd give it.... a bit more conversation before she resorted to Plan B, but she didn't particularly want to deal with people, either. "Even without the event going on," she added, scanning up some of the buildings windows and exteriors. The hotel seemed like the type to attract rich, posh sorts, and they were almost always weird.
She looked back over at Zero, actually bothering to pause her search to listen to his explanation. She frowned, though. That was weird... She shrugged. "I dunno," she admitted, turning back to resume her search, "They always seemed like idiots to me." Then again, everyone seemed like idiots to her, until proven otherwise. "You know what you're going to be getting once you get to the... lua thing?" she asked, straightening up after leaning over to try and peer behind a bench, and casting another look at him. But, hey.... she actually managed to make it through a good bit of conversation, before buckling to strategy talk. And it was actually fairly normal this time, too.

A small smile emerged from Zero as Ajicka had something of an appropriate response to the joke, even if she wasn't the type to burst out into laughing. Simply shrugging, he let it fade from his lips as fast as it came. After that, it came back to the subject of the villain teams, and Zero's... odd encounter with Team Rocket. "Well, something tells me the five year-old they were next to could've thrown them across the room." The fellow trainer didn't seem too interested in that, evidently less amused by reality than fiction. Not that he could complain, or anything.
The next subject was yet another one they'd spoken of earlier, this time on the Luau that Ajicka apparently didn't even know about until they talked. "Not really, I'm not entirely sure what all they'll have there." Perhaps there was something in the brochure to inform him of what was avaliable? He dug into his bag for a moment to retrieve the folded sheet of paper, flipping through it lazily in search of an items list or something similar. "Still, even not knowing, it's worth heading over there and picking up what I can anyway. It'll just be something else I can get out of these eggs."

Ajicka exhaled a slightly less enthusiastic breath of amusement to Zero's remark. "Yeah, probably. I didn't cross paths with them that much, but I was never especially impressed with them, and everything I heard suggested their armies of rattata weren't exactly in the top 10%," she commented, absently picking up a rock, and tossing it aside. She sighed. Looks like she was going to have to go to Plan B.
She turned and started back for the beach, but didn't give up on the conversation even with her new direction. "You didn't check?" Again, trying to sound curious, not accusing, but gosh was her tone just naturally bitchy. She was the embodiment of 'resting b***h face', except in voice, body, and mind. So just, well....
.... Anyway. "Well yeah, of course. You got them, after all," she pointed out, giving him a side look, before calling Jas over. She released Byron as well, taking his megastone a moment, and moving aside as she had them line up at the edge of the sand. "You keep mentioning it like you got other stuff besides the shells.... Were you getting items before or something?" she asked, frowning a bit, then gesturing to the two winged dragons. They both heeded the instructions she'd subtly given them, and started flapping their wings, hard, kicking up an enormous storm of sand. She looked through it, glanced at Houndoom, and raised her eyebrows. He met her gaze, both looking back towards the flurry of sand, before he darted out into it, returning after a moment with an egg in his mouth. The dragons stopped their improvised sandstorm, and Houndoom shook off the sand, before Ajicka turned to look casually back at Zero.

"Not particularly," he admitted freely, paying little mind to the friction in the way she spoke. He scanned through the sheet of paper before him, checking each page for any sort of index on the items the luau itself will be giving out. "To be honest, it was a... Spur of the moment thing, really. I haven't exactly had too much to do as of late, after getting the last badge I needed in Hoenn. While they spoke, the two returned to the beach, the three pokemon they left there still searching for eggs on their own. The young man watched as she directed the pokemon through her backup plan, creating a twister on the beach that the Houndoom could snatch an egg clean out of. "Well, I mean, the eggs alone get you prizes too. Seems like you can just head to any Pokemon Center to show how many you've got, and they'll give you prizes based on that. I haven't really stopped to get any of mine, but I figured I'd wait till I got to Iki Town to pick them up anyway." Once they had the egg they needed, Ashen returned to his trainer, hovering towards them before touching down so Zero could get on. He climbed onto the beast's back as the conversation continued, waiting for her to get mounted as well before they took off.

Ajicka frowned a bit at some of that. "What were you waiting for?" she asked bluntly. 'Kill some time', 'waiting', he sounded like he'd been planning ot meet up with someone or something. And yet he'd gone off to travel the other regions? Maybe he'd just been expecting a message or something. "Uh huh..." She was looking at him like she had plenty more to say, but was holding back. Knowing her, it was likely not to be polite, but rather, because she wanted to move on. If it was important enough, she'd bring it up again, like she had with so many other topics so far. She moved to get the egg from Houndoom and recalled him, as well as Byron once she'd given him his megastone back.
"They do?" she muttered. She must have missed that. She'd just been paying attention to the shells, and what she could buy with them. Weird-- her and Zero had pretty much had opposite goals. Deciding that, yes, he was going to take this spot easy on himself -- because he'd been working sooooo hard with the other locations -- Zak headed for the beach. He kicked at it, then leaned down, testing the temperature, and lowering his bag. He didn't exactly have a towel or anything, but.... He pulled off his shirt and tossed it onto the sand, using it to at least protect his hair as he got down and laid back. He wasn't too worried about sunburn... He wasn't exactly planning to be here that long.

His pokemon, however, were lingering, so perhaps those expectations were a little out of sync. Meebus was staring after Zak, and Sotnik seemed to be waiting for him. He'd been giving them indicators and instruction, essentially leadership in the absence of Zak's, this whole time, so... Boo, of course, hovered close to Meebus, bouncing happily, and nuzzling up against him. Eventually, the electric ghost pokemon turned. "I believe there should be some eggs up ahead," he commented, staring straight ahead.

Sotnik glided across the ground beside Meebus, eying the pokemon. He knew that he was, technically, supposed to be the leader. Zak had been trying to train him for that, at least. And he... he could, if he needed to. Probably. He still felt a bit like he was in Drey's shadow, however.... Like he was the Commander, and Sotnik was still training to take over the army. In this case, though, Meebus seemed more... informed. So even if he wanted too -- he didn't -- he wasn't really going to try and take over here.

She blinked and perked up, before giving a chirp, and turning to flitter off. Sotnik eyed the pokemon, but lifted his head when Meebus turned to him. "There should be an egg over there, if no one has looked yet. it seems a good spot to hide them," he instructed, nodding to indicate. Sotnik blinked and looked over, then back at Meebus, before turning to investigate. Indeed, there was an egg; and Boo returned with an item of her own not too long thereafter. Their trainer was still sunbathing when they returned, but he contacted their transportation and remained lounging until they arrived. Eh, a few more seconds in the sun wouldn't hurt.

She wasn't sure how she'd failed to notice when it came in, but for now she put it aside, feeling too annoyed with Zak to want to respond right away, and she didn't want to risk getting annoyed further, not when she was landing in a beach resort. She probably should have Dotty helping to search around at least though while she was here. That way she could spend more of her time relaxing and enjoying the resort while Dotty looked for an egg, so Scarlett sent the solosis out with the same instructions as before, watching her float off with a sigh of contentment. That was so much easier than with Vandal. So obedient. She walked out onto the beach, looking over as an older man approached her with a smile. "Alola! Welcome to Hano Grand Resort and Beach. Is there any way I can help you miss?" Scarlett gave the man a smile. Now this was the kind of treatment she liked. "Certainly. What would you suggest as the best way to relax here?" She asked curiously. "Well, personally I think stretching out on one of our beach chairs under an umbrella and listening to the sound of the waves is the way to go, but if you feel like moving around and walking along the beach, that's always calming too. Just watch out for staryu and pyukumuku." Scarlett gave the man a curious look. "Why's that?" The man sighed and scratched his head with a sheepish smile. "Ah well, you needn't be too concerned about staryu here, but further down the coast they tend to dig around under the sand and they can get quite mad if you step on them. Pyukumuku on the other hand are all over the place. They're actually quite the problem, since people can trip over them or step on them." The man explained.

Scarlett chuckled, still just a tad confused. "Sorry, what's a pyukumuku?" She asked. "Oh! Sorry, they're a pokemon native to alola, little sea cucumber pokemon, dark with little colorful spines. They're notorious for being stubborn little creatures. When they find a spot they like, they'll stay there, even if they run out of food and water. Even when they're moved, they'll return to that same spot. We kind of feel bad for them really, so we have a tradition of sorts, throwing them back into the ocean when we find them sitting on the beach." Scarlett nodded. "I see, well thank you for the suggestions. I think I'll walk the beach, and if I find any pyukumuku I'll throw them back." She promised. "Alright! Well enjoy your stay." Scarlett chuckled and nodded in thanks, making her way down the beach. It was probably best not to wander too far since she didn't want to deal with any rambunctious staryu, but she didn't want to sit still really either.

As Scarlett walked the beach shoreline, she kept an eye out for any pyukumuku and eggs. She was actually kind of intrigued by this stubborn sea cucumber, and wanted to find one for herself. Sure enough, not too far away was a small black shape rooting itself in the sand. Scarlett approached and scooped it up, washing it off in the water before taking a good look at the strange pokemon. It chirruped at her with strange gurgling sounds, and Scarlett actually found it kind of cute. It's little mouth like structure, beady red eyes, puff ball sort of tail. Somehow it made her think of a sort of sea rabbit with the way the spikes on it's body formed little ears. Poor thing. Scarlett wasn't one who pitied others often, but she often treated pokemon differently than she did humans. She actually almost felt bad for the little thing.
"Pyu..." The pyukumuku spat out some kind of cold, wet white goop all over her face, and all of Scarlett's possible affection faded immediately. She pulled the pyukumuku off of her face and watched with disgust as it sucked the white goop back into itself before hurling it towards the ocean. Thankfully Dotty returned soon after with an egg, making her time spent here not seem a complete waste.
