Night fell, the chorus of insects and stalkers of the evening waters began to stir. The past few days had seen quite a stir in the swamp, but Starlit Heart had not really noticed.

Captivated by a shining Buck, she wandered idly along - daydreaming of the handsome Coveted. Not paying any attention to where her hooves where landing, she flipped right over a submerged branch and fell into a deeper waters!

"Congratulations must be in order! There's little ones on the way," Roses in Bloom crooned, approaching the starry-night doe from seemingly nowhere. Her eyes betrayed her dark form, blending into the underbrush aside from the steady glow. When she emerged fully, she smiled down upon the young doe.

"What is your name, sweet one?" She asked, soft and kind.

"Oh.. oh.. Im .. .Star.. Starlit Heart! And what little ones?" head turns this way and that way lookin for younglings, wondering if they need a helping hoof.

"No young that exist yet, Starlit Heart. The young that are yet to come," she nodded towards the doe's belly, yet to show sign, but most certainly there. Roses in Bloom smiled knowingly, tipping her head to the side.

"You're a first time mother, aren't you? If you didn't know what my being here meant?"

Starlit blinks confused, "Oh?" She blinks again, then understanding starts to dawn over face.

"Oh...." Understanding turns to surprise, a touch of panic, and a rush of in drawn breath.

"Oh?!" Stands breathless for a moment and then a bright smile blossoms.

"Oh! OH! Me?!"
