Vikraahm would keep his gaze on the pair as they continued to speak, curious as to what was transpiring. From what the girl had suggested, it seemed she thought it should be as simple as asking someone in the academy, given that it was so large and the majority of people were going regardless. Vikraahm would nod in agreement on that point of hers, believing it to be perfectly reasonable if Chester simply desired someone to go with.
Had Vikraahm desired to go with anyone, he would merely have asked as the girl had suggested and been done with it. 'If he desires to go, no obstacle would stop him.' He silently thought to himself.
Vikraahm saw the female's head pop up and speak a new idea. One that involved the two males going together, which she related to how she would with a dorm mate. The idea was a creative one, and he would lower his gaze and look deep in thought, but still aware of what was around him. He heard Chester begin to speak, saying that it was a part of courting for the people of this land based off of perceptions of others when it was males. That part confused him as he remained mulling the ideas over. In his land, there were occasional dances, but everyone participated. It was almost mandatory to a degree, but unofficially. Bringing a person with you was not required, as there would be plenty of others to interact there if you desired. Further, it had been common for friends of the same gender to dance with one another just to enjoy the night and festivities. 'Unless it was me.' He thought to himself, remembering those instances. Whenever he had gone, he would be alone for the most part, the other younger males of the tribe making sure he was left alone during then. He had learned to not care about that and merely enjoy himself, and with more time things began to change in his later years, but he still acutely remembered that feeling of isolation while there.
Hearing Chester mention a lack of friends, Vikraahm's gaze temporarily moved up to regard him. He was rubbing his neck, and had laughed in a way that hardly seemed normal. Vikraahm again debated both sides in his head, the perceptions of others and that of merely going to enjoy the event, with the memories of his own experience in his head. His eyes would focus on Chesters, a look of seriousness on it. "I shall go with you. The perceptions of others is unimportant, as I do not desire you in that way." Vikraahm would say, his voice confident and tone stern, and he would pause for a moment. It may have come out harsher than he had intended, but Vikraam was a blunt person and wanted that meaning clear given it had been what was stopping the man. It was less of a request for them to go together and more of a certainty. He was unsure how a person in this society could have no companions, given their propensity for speaking, but he did consider the man to be close to becoming one to him if he wasn't already. More so than most others at this academy at least. Thinking it over, he thought it appropriate to add one more thing before he would finish speaking. "As a friend." Vikraahm did mean everything he had said. He saw no point in vaguely wording things and keeping his meaning unclear. When he said something, he meant it. Should the man say yes, Vikraahm would be true to his word and go with him as friend, even if his primary motive was to study others there. If Chester said no, he would merely tell him he should go around the academy and merely ask, as there was no harm in doing so. Should Chester be denied, then it would be the same as before. However, if he did not try, then he would be purposely making it so he did not go.

"...Bed...Eachother?" Jesse would tilt her head at Chester's Comment, her large ears flopping over one another until his words suddenly sunk in - It was at that point that said ears would stiffen and her face quickly expressed great shock as she realised what he was actually saying, "Really!? They think that?! Eww!" she shook her head, not wanting to accept what she had heard, "No way!" she hadn't meant that at all, but the look on Chester's face as he continued to speak showed he believed what he'd said...
She was still reeling, but as the male said he'd hoped to find someone, but the short notices and lack of friends had lessened his options, the Fennec Child had to feel a little sorry for him... Almost to a point that had she not already asked Fidal to the Gala, she might have asked Chester instead - if he'd been interested.
Jesse hadn't quite known what to say after what the male had said, but as Vikraahm spoke up, offering to go with Chester, the Fennec Child lifted her gaze - She was still a little shocked but would listen, a smile gradually returning to her face as the Elementor explained that he held no desire towards him, but wanted to attend the Gala 'as a Friend'.
"You'd do that?" she wasn't aiming to urge the pair to go together, but she had to admire Vikraahm's offer for it was what he would have done - Why couldn't more people feel that way? To go as friends, rather than 'Partners' She still couldn't believe relationships between guys would be look upon in such a way...
There was no telling how Chester would react to Vikraahm's offer, but Jesse was happy to have witnessed such a proposal - she for one had asked Fidal purely out of friendship (and perhaps a little guilt at not having the right money for the book he'd worked so hard to bring to her) in all honestly, she felt that the male would enjoy an evening out and was certain that to go with a good friend would make it even better.

Chester popped a brow up, curious to Jesses surprised and shocked expression. He smiles softly, wanting to laugh at the ladies shocked reaction. He wondered just how old she was, nearly losing it at the idea of having sex. Not to mention her response to it.... He somehow felt old.... despite him being quite young. He figured she was a first year, but typically they weren't illiterate and clueless over such matters... His eyes fell on her expression as she lost it, flushed unbelievable so.
Much to his surprise, Vikraahm spoke up. Chester glanced over to the other male. He seemed focused and rather keen on whatever was on his mind. What exactly was that? Chester watched his blank expression, but it was his eyes that told his tale. The other male seemed to not understand the concept. Soon speaking, Chester furrowed his brows and felt redness fill his face of embarrassment. He didn't know how to take it.... Another male asking him to the ball.... he wasn't sure he liked it... It felt of pity more than anything.
Chester let the air fill with suspense, or perhaps a odd atmosphere period. He didn't know how to take this invitation. Of course, Jesse seemed eager on the matter, nearly answering for Chester. It seemed she thought it lovely, rather shocked as well. But of course she didn't see it as odd, she was clueless in the matter! He glanced between the two, utterly lost in his own mind. Just want in the world was happening! "Uhm..." Chester released a heavy sigh, frustration on his face. "I guess.."

As the girl asked Vikraahm in a surprised tone if he'd do that, he would merely nod to show that he would. He saw nothing wrong with going together as friends if it Chester would actually go. It was a simple solution to a simple problem, at least in his mind. 'Assuming he accepts.' Vikraahm was not entirely convinced the male really wanted to go, as he had been making excuses about attending. Specifically excuses Vikraahm found to be totally irrelevant of needing a partner to go with. He noticed a redness in Chester's face after he had asked the proposal, why he was not entirely sure. It should be as simple as yes or no for what he had said, and there was no need whatsoever to be embarrassed about it. 'People in this land are indecisive.' He silently thought to himself, also thinking on how they were too enraptured by social outlooks to really live. Everything for them had to be determined off of what others thought, rather than what they themselves did. He had thought Chester would be slightly different, but it seems in this place it was very common.
Chester was taking his time in the response, giving Vikraahm time to just think himself. He was unsure what was required of him now that they were going to go together. He had not had personal experience in that regard in the past. He assumed they would just meet up outside of the Gala itself and from there enter together. 'Or perhaps we have to meet at one of our dorms?' He pondered to himself, legitimately unsure. Had Chester been a female, he knew it was common to go to there abode and then proceed to the event. But with just a friend, he doubted such actions were really necessary. The thought of the time was completely out of Vikraahm's mind, as he assumed they would arrive there either slightly early or exactly on time. He had made a habit to try and do so, even though with classes it seemed the time could fluctuate. Vikraahm was broken from his thoughts as he noticed Chester glance between the two of them and speak, accepting his offer. Though he let out a rather strong sigh and had frustration on his face, Vikraahm assumed it was because he no longer had an excuse not to attend. Which, in Vikraahm's mind, would be his own fault if he really didn't want to go. 'Simply saying it would have worked.' He would think to himself. These people were weird when they spoke the opposite of what they desired. Still, the invitation had been accepted. Vikraahm would rise form his seat and look Chester in the eyes, the edge of his lips curling in a small and almost indistinguishable smile which would quickly fade. "Then I have your word. We shall attend together." Vikraahm would hold his hand out, in offering of shaking hands with Chester, and would leave it out for a little bit. Should he not accept it, he would merely retract it. Afterwards, his gaze would travel around the room, and still not seeing the professor, he would rest his gaze on the two he was with. "It seems the instructor is not coming. I shall take my leave to prepare." He would nod to both of them in farewell, before leaving the class and heading to his dorm.

Jesse felt almost as though she'd put the male on the spot, perhaps forcing him to go when he maybe felt he hadn't wanted to? Still, it was very nice for Vikraahm to offer and even though Chester had flushed up quite red in the face through embarrassment, he had accepted.
Jesse turned her gaze as Vikraahm noted that the tutor seemed to be a no show and promptly took his leave after acknowledging that he and Chester would attend together, that left the pair alone in the classroom and after a few moments of watching the door after the male's exit, she would finally turn to look towards Chester, her ears flopping back a little, "I'm sorry, feel like I kinda pressured you into that..." she felt really bad, "But I never realised people thought that way...but you never know, you might find someone special there, even if you do go with him," she tried to put on a smile, but still felt a little awkward at the way she had acted, especially as Chester looked somewhat uncomfortable about the plans that had been made...
"I guess I'd better make a move too..." she allowed a moment to pass before her smile returned to her face and she put what had happened behind her, "Guess I'll see you at the Gala?" she would gather up her things and then transform - it would seem as though she had 'ducked' beneath the table, but in reality, she had taken on her Fennec Form and if Chester were to glance towards the door, he would be able to spot the little Fox as she slipped out through the gap.

What did he sign himself up to? Chester looked rather confused and baffled by today events. Just how relaxed Vikraahm hadn't calmed his nerves in any manner. In fact, he felt it heightened for some reason... His brow furrowed together, a concerned glance, and small breaths given in response as Vikraahm stuck out his hand to shake, confirming the date. Chester reached and placed a shake to the other male, watching him exit, dazed and confused.
Jesse would speak, causing him to move to her, eyes adverting as he blinked quite a few times. His confusion faded slowly as she spoke. His eyes would note her nervousness, possibly shame. Chester melted, not wanting to cause fear or wordiness from anyone. He'd sigh and shake his head "No worries." Chester started to gather his things, thinking about the events that unfolded. "Guess it's a way to face my fears." He'd speak softer, embarrassed by the fact he was quite alone.
It really wasn't his fault.... At least he didn't think. He always wondered, why it was so hard to make friends. He was an easy going guy... perhaps it was the fact he was a bit of a nerd? He loved studying and didn't spend much time with sports or activities as such... But still.. As he thought, he'd watch Jesse leave, packing his things fully and leaving for himself. Guess it was time to dig out his formal wear. [exit to bedroom then to gala]

Vikraahm had retired early the prior day, not having much to do and preferring to spend the rest of his day in peace with Shinshi in his dorm. The next morning, he went about his usual routine of training his body and mind. He practiced his raiment and his fighting technique with his weapons, ensuring his body can react without hesitation should anything arise. He also spent his time cleaning, feeding Shinshi, and packing his things for the day. It may be a routine that never changed, but it was one that always worked for him. With that being done, he would head to his class for the day: botany. It was a class he enjoyed as he had an appreciation for nature, and the company typically was good as well. As he left his dorm, he found it to be a dark day with grey clouds across the sky. So long as the sky was not angry as it had been his first day at the academy, it should be a nice day. Especially if he decided to practice his raiment later given he would have an abundant source for it. While most students went fast to and from buildings, fearful of getting wet in the rain, Vikraahm made his path to class be primarily outside. He enjoyed the weather as with the sun hidden the day was cooler, even though it was not cold. He had taken Shinshi with him today, safely tucked away in his scarf, as Shinshi liked to see the varied plants in the room. He even occasionally hunted in the room if he got hungry. And so it was in a content mood Vikraahm found himself entering the botany classroom, deserted for now. He did not mind the absence of others so far, and had a feeling the class may remain so as it was an on and off type of class. He did not mind that either as he would then be able to explore on his own and spend his time as he pleased in the room. He would head to the front of the class, setting down his things (his gourd, supplies and weapons) on a seat behind him as he himself would settle into a seat. He let Shinshi out from under his scarf and onto his desk, allowing him some freedom as he patiently awaited the arrival of anyone else. Should no one else come soon, he would merely go about the room for his own lesson.

~ Leaving Fiona and Jesse's Room for The Botany Classroom ~
It was actually quite difficult for Jesse not to want to take on her Shifter Form and sprint down the corridor towards her class like she normally would, but things were made that little bit easier with the company of her roommate and for that she was grateful.
Her tail naturally swung from side to side as she walked, so in the hopes of helping not itch any allergies, Jesse retained a slight distance from Fiona, ensuring she was half a pace behind so they were still walking together, not that the distance was noticeable. They would talk as they walked and before they knew it, the pair had found their way to the door of the Botany Classroom.
Jesse allowed Fiona to enter first, holding the door for her roommate before following her inside. With the room virtually alive with foliage, everything always had a difference sense to it, the air, the scents, the sights. Allowing Fiona to lead the way again, Jesse would make her way to a desk and sit down, getting out her supplies before lacing her fingers infront of her as she awaited other members of the class to arrive.

Vikraahm had been contemplating in his brief time in the room and what he should be doing. He had a feeling in the back of his mind that he should be doing something specifically, but the thought currently escaped him. It annoyed him to no end to not be able to remember it, as it felt like it was somewhat important. 'Just not important enough for my mind to remember it seems.' He would sigh slightly, and push the thought from his mind. There was no point dwelling on the matter; it would come when it decided to. Until then, he would go about things as he would usually. His gaze would travel to all the plants around him, having learned a good deal about some but with their still being a few he was unaware of in terms of what they were. Because of how long he had been in the class though, he knew the basics in caring for them. He still had yet to learn how to raise a cactus here. But patience was something he had learned was necessary in life, so he was content to wait till he learned how to do so.
Vikraahm would then note the presence of several new people entering the room. One of which he remembered seeing on the day of the Gala who he had sided with in convincing Chester to attend. He would merely nod to both of them, not particularly desiring to interact and wanting to spend more of his time in thought. Which reminded him that he had not seen Tala nor Chester ever since. It should not surprise him given how things tended to happen, and with this schools schedule, but he would've enjoyed either of them being present. Even if he himself would've been primarily silent. It was then, at the corner of his eyes, he noticed Shinshi tugging at a small paper on top of his desk. He knew he would not be able to pry it from his pincers without either hurting him or destroying the paper, so he had to retrieve it at a different method than normal. Curious as to what it was, he would pick Shinshi up quickly. This caused Shinshi to drop the paper as Vikraahm would move him back onto his shoulder so that he could not easily return to the paper. That being settled, he himself would reach for it and unfold it, finding it to be a letter of instructions on how to care for the plants...that was assigned to him. The nagging feeling from earlier quickly came back as he remembered being given this and told to care for the plants while she was away. 'It would seem I have a task.' He thought to himself as he would slowly rise from his seat. Not particularly focusing on the others, he would look about to find the supplies needed. Once he located them, he would turn back to his stuff on the desk behind him, specifically grabbing his scimitar and shield. He would then strap them to his back while uncapping his gourd. Though he doubted anything would happen, he had learned early in life it was better to be prepared for the worst. Especially after one of the plants had tried to consume Tala.
Feeling satisfactorily prepared, he would make his way over to the Botany classroom's supplies and take a few containers of water along with a shear. Looking at the large and expansive classroom, he knew the task would take a long time on his own. His gaze would turn back to the two new arrivals, silently debating whether he should ask for help or not. Seeing the two and not feeling intimidated whatsoever, he would decide after giving it a minute or two of thought with his eyes surveying the room. Coming to a decision, he would walk over to them with a slow and purposeful stride. His gaze would primarily be on Jesse, having encountered her already as he would begin to speak, but would switch over briefly to the other girl he had not seen before. "The instructor assigned me the task of tending to the plants. Will you both assist me?" He would bluntly say with a neutral tone. Though their assistance would speed the job up and be appreciated, he was not vested in them saying yes. He merely wanted an answer to know if he should continue on his own or include them in his work. It was also why he asked the question so bluntly, as he wanted to have the task underway as soon as possible. Shinshi during this time would be standing on his shoulder and gazing towards the two, the scorpion having not moved since being placed on his shoulder.

"Yep," Jesse would beam as Fiona asked if this was indeed the Botany Elective, "It's a really wonderful place and the smells are just, Wow!" There was always an array of alluring scents, some not so tasteful as others, but the Fennec Child certainly had a few favourites. She wouldn't be so disheartened when Fiona opted to sit a short distance away - she had stuck close which was all that mattered,
After returning the nod towards Vikraahm, Jesse would watch as he seemed to sit in thought for a moment, then as she had also taken her seat by this time, her ears would swivel towards him at the sound of movement and she would turn, watching as he took up several containers and a set of shears before making his way over.
"Oh! That could be fun," she had always been fascinated by the plants which seemed to have a mind of their own and looked towards Fiona with a smile before glancing back at Vikraahm. "...Is that..?" her jaw would drop open at the sight of the Scorpion and her ears would twist forwards. Although Shinshi was not moving, she would watch him closely.
Back in her past, not long after she and her Father had moved to the desert, Jesse had discovered such a creature living underneath their doorstep. It had been quite a curious thing, but after playing with it for a few minutes and avoiding a handful of painful pinches and stings, her Father had captured it and well... Let's just say it was an acquired taste, but not one she wouldn't try again if the opportunity arose... "You know you have a Scorpion on your shoulder...right?" Depending on his answer, Jesse couldn't help but wonder if the creature had found its way into the classroom...and if there were any more lurking around that she might be able to track down?

Vikraahm would think to his self of an appropriate task to assign to the shifter seeing as she had agreed, still awaiting a response from the diviner. However, while doing so he noticed her jaw drop and ear twist forward and followed her gaze to Shinshi as she seemed to be in disbelief to seeing the scorpion. He was curious why she seemed to be in such a way,, as he knew a few scorpions existed here from what he had seen, but he assumed it was either because she had not seen this type or given she was a shifter it was for a more primal purpose. Knowing how talkative she could be, he would watch her carefully to make sure she did not try anything but did not obviously shield Shinshi yet. As she asked if he knew he had Shinshi there, he would wonder how dense she had believed him to be. Though a scorpion may not be the heaviest creature in any regard, it was a noticeable weight whenever Shinshi was on his shoulder. He could not entirely blame her for that though, given that they knew very little about each other and it may remain that way given his preference for solitude. Looking the shifter in the eyes, he would speak with a calm tone. "Yes. The scorpions name is Shinshi. I placed him there." His answer to her would be blunt as per usual, wanting his answers to be absolutely clear with no chance of a misinterpretation. His gaze would briefly flicker back to the other one present as she uttered a meek sorry as she shrunk into her seat further. In his mind that one seemed weak, unable to confidently say an answer and only being able to utter an apology. His presence alone even seemed to intimidate her, despite him not trying to. Though he had not always been as confident in himself as he was now, he had never gone as low as hers appeared to be.
He debated in his mind whether he should give her a task regardless, force her to confront whatever fear she had of him. It was something he had done in a way for Tala and Chester, though with them it was more coaxing them to an action that benefited them. Thinking it over for a few seconds with his gaze focused on the non shifter, he would turn his gaze back to Jesse once he decided. "I will water the plants," Vikraahm would then place the shears onto her desk before he continued speaking. And you need to trim away any dead parts." He would finish, his tone slightly commanding as he relayed the task to her. He had decided that if she did not herself volunteer for the work, none would be assigned to her yet. That all being done and the work divided, he would pick up the containers of water again and go to the nearest section of plants to begin watering.

"Shinshi?" Jesse would tilt her head curiously, "...Like, as in a Pet?" she had never considered keeping a Scorpion as a companion...Rather, she was used to having them as a little treat back home. This changed everything...or nothing at all, but her ears would flop outwards for a moment, then perk up again as she nodded with a smile, "I never would have thought of that," she would make an exception for this one if Shinshi was indeed Vikraahm's Pet, but if she happened across any in the classroom herself...then she might just sneak one into her bag for later.
Jesse wasn't intimidated at all by the way Vikraahm spoke to them, she always took each person as they came and treated others as she would expect to be treated herself...well, unless they were like that guy back in the Bakery that time... She didn't dwell on that thought however as it was in the past and the Fennec Child always tried to live in the moment if she could.
"That sounds fair," She would nod as Vikraahm assigned her the task of pruning out the dead parts of plant, taking up the shears, she shot him a smile, then turned to Fiona, "Would you like to give me a hand?" she didn't want her friend to be left out and seeing as though Vikraahm already had his own task to complete, Jesse would move around the desk and place the shears down infront of her, "There's bound to be another pair around here," she would looked to where the male had walked and was certain she'd find a set of her own, "You just look for the bits that have gone crispy or withered and snip them off," she would speak as she walked before grinning as she located a storage box containing small shears for delicate plants, "Here they are!"
