Jesse Randall ~ Entering Shifter Classroom ~
Today was Knit day - and with the way the weather was looking outside, the Fennec Child was more than glad to be indoors for her class that day. After another night of not seeing her roommate, Jesse was starting to wonder if she'd perhaps scared Rin away, but having been brought up to face each day with a smile, she tried to do exactly that.
Getting dressed, the Shifter would take on her Fox Form, taking her usual run at the door before making her way down towards the classroom where she hoped they had something fun planned?
Reaching the door to one of her favourite classes, Jesse would return to her human form, turning the handle and pushing open the door to...and empty classroom? That was strange... Stepping inside, the Fennec Child would glance towards the board - just incase their tutor, or his assistant had left them a message - before taking a seat at her desk to wait.
Having missed her previous class, Jesse wasn't certain what they would be learning that day, but she hoped it would involve shifting - Had it not been raining that day, she would have loved to have headed out into the courtyard for a game of chase, or perhaps somewhere else? She had sort of forgotten about breakfast, so any excursion was more than welcome, but until someone arrived, the Shifter knew she would have to wait and see.
Getting out one of her favourite storybooks, the Fennec Child would sit back in her seat and open up to where she had marked the page - what better way to waste a little time, than to disappear into a fantasy story for a bit?

Jesse Randall ~ Entering Shifter Classroom ~
Jesse's ears twitched at the sound of the door opening and she would lift her gaze from her book, tilting her head at what appeared to be a new student before shooting him a beaming smile as he greeted her with such a wondrous grin.
"Good Morning to you too!" it was nice to hear a voice so cheerful after such a time where she had felt so down; She would have asking him how he was, but instead put her book aside and slid from her seat - making her way towards the front of the class before watching with some curiosity as the male started writing something on the board.
"...In trouble?" She could only wonder what had happened for 'a bunch of shifters' to be in trouble...rather than ask however, she continued to watch him write until he was finished. "I hope they're alright..." She of course hadn't heard anything in the way of summons herself, so could only presume she was not one of the 'many' that had caught the attention of the Court Mage...
"What should I do now...?" The Page Boy had mentioned about the day being dedicated to self-study before smiling and taking his leave, that left Jesse with several options - especially as he'd closed the door behind him.
Making her way back to her seat, the Fennec Child would calmly pack away her things before making her way towards the door. She could of course have remained within the classroom to wait and see if any of her fellow students might just turn up, but with such a small class already what was there to say she would be the only pupil there at all?
Instead, with a final glance around the classroom, the Shifter would take her leave - It was tempting to try and track down one of her fellow classmates to perhaps find out what might just have gotten so many of her Knit into trouble, but instead, the Fox would step out into the corridor and head away. Perhaps she would take a trip to the Library? But first, her she needed to get herself some breakfast!

Jace had strived to improve himself for the interim, and his attendance was not something he would ignore in that regard. Gin's advice of having the academy send someone to knock on his door had seemed to work, as he had awoken at the time he desired to rather than oversleeping for once. Wanting to make haste to have a measure of how this new alarm time system would work, Jace had quickly gone through his morning routine of preparing himself for the day as well as caring for Hamlet and Ophelia. The twin headed snake required little in food, from what he heard, but he also tried to give it something every few days if only to keep its hunting instinct intact. He had been getting used to seeing his snake and keeping it on him to a day to day basis since their break in reconstruction efforts. So much so that as he was prepared to leave for class...he paused and looked back at it. "There can't be anything wrong with bringing you there, can there?" He asked the snake, knowing he wouldn't get a response. It was a shifter class, so having an animal as a focus should be allowed in his mind. If it wasn't, he could always return him to his room or find some place to store him for the duration of the class. It would not hurt for him to try at the least, so Jace would pick up Hamlet and Ophelia, allowing them to wrap around his shoulders just beneath his fancy cape so that most of their bodies were hidden and they could pop out from his collar when they desired. Satisfied, he would walk out and head to class. -DORM TO CLASS-
Jace arrived at the class earlier than he had intended to, seeing as there was barely a soul out at this hour. He would need to fix that with the academy for the next class day, as while it was good to arrive early he now knew he could afford a bit more sleep and relaxedness in getting ready for class. Opening the doors to the dark room only reaffirmed his thoughts. He may have over prepared in his desire to not be late... 'Better to be an hour early than a minute late right?' He asked himself, despite the inconvenience of being too early at least he was not late. Striding into the room he took a seat at the very front of the class and set all his things down neatly besides him. Having some free time to spend as he pleased...He wondered what he should spend it on. He did have a few books he could read, had some research he wanted to do...but in the temporary quiet and isolation of the room, Jace wondered if he should also practice his shifting before anyone else arrived. Getting a head start could be interesting...but the class wasn't always about shifting. He would compromise and instead read a book he had rented from the library about shifting, specifically a chapter on doing full and partial shifts...though the former didn't have nearly as much detail as the latter.

╔═══════════════════ Gin slowly trudged through the streets toward the Academy. He didn’t want to go to class. His dream-visions had plagued him all night and he hadn’t rested well at all. Rin had stayed in her dorm, which was probably for the better, he was pretty sure he’d shouted in his sleep at some point and that would have only worried his little sister and she was traumatized enough as it was.
Wearing a heavy coat, a hat, scarf, heavy boots and gloves, he walked through the cold, debating shifting into his wolf form for a bit – fur was definitely more ideal than a coat. The snow lightly fell, and the breeze slipped into every nook and cranny of his clothes. Shivering, he huddled in on himself, glad when he reached the Academy and stepped inside the main building, stamping the snow from his boots.
Walking to class, he knew that he was early, but he had an example to set. Ven, a bear by nature, was still having scheduling issues, - issues that wouldn’t improve with the winter weather. Ven’s animal instincts were telling him to hibernate and there was little the male could do to stop himself, unfortunately. Thus, Gin was in charge of the class yet again.
Pushing open the door, he was surprised to see Jace. Smirking a little, he stepped inside the class and walked slowly toward the front. “Good Morning…” He said, taking his seat at the front of the class. “I’m glad to see you here so early…how have you been, Jace?” He asked, huddling in on himself as he tried to warm up.

♛With the passing of time, learning more not only about the world, but also about his own power, became something of importance unmatched. The crocodilian, responsible for one of the main spots for the port life and the financial movement of that area, decided to enroll into the academy to improve his shifter skills, and a few others, to turn into a more helpful soul when events such as the one of months ago happen. Confident in at least developing well in the class and investing the best of himself to the subjects, Kuro came in through those wooden doors with the usual somber atmosphere around him, clad in all black fabrics. The mouth piece firm and clear. With a gaze to the inner structures of the classroom, the reptilian took notice of two people already present, most likely students, but of what year he was unsure.
Not certain of what to do, being a fresh entity inside and all of that, Kuromori decided to go with a simple nod towards them whenever they first glanced his way. Beyond that, his worry was to find a comfortable seat that could fit his considerable mass without problem, using one of the spacest closest to the door after quick pondering. The male sat down, observed the quality of the material, rows and rows behind him and adorned with various details, a formidable room. Besides those simple observations, Kuro did nothing, merely rested his hands over his lap and kept his posture right, maintaining somewhat of a fixed stare on the large table reserved for the teacher, or whoever else would be responsible for them at the time. This was a new opportunity to grow, to become even more mature, and needless to say, he was eager.♛

Jesse Randall ~ From their room to Outside the Shifter Classroom ~
Jesse was always one to greet a new day with a fresh mind - and although she had felt rather low lately, the little Fox was determined to make this day a good one and as she rose, drawing on a fresh set of clothes, she would turn towards her Roommate, a cheerful swish in her tail,
"I can't believe it's time for Shifter Class already," She was of course aware it happened quite regularly, but with hardly anyone around the day before - she had decided to keep her distance from the Memorial for fear she would get herself all worked up again - the Fennec Child had found herself feeling quite alone and missing the company of her friends.
"How about we run to class?" Naturally sprightly when the sun rose, she wasn't the easiest person to room with if you fancied a lie in... "I've just got so much energy today!" With that, she would transform, twirling round before jumping up onto her bed and lying down with her head on her paws. She would remain in this position only briefly before vaulting from her bed and scampering into the next room.
Like a mad five minutes, the little Fox would scamper back, vaulting back up onto her bed before crouching down in a 'play bow' - her tail swishing eagerly from side to side.
After a few minutes - perhaps just enough time for the Husky Shifter to get up and ready? Jesse would turn her gaze towards the door before jumping down from her bed again and taking her usual charge towards the exit, leaping up and applying her paws with a twist so the door would swing open. "C'mon, it'll be fun!"
Presuming her energy was catchy, Jesse would wait just long enough for reluctant roommate to transform before closing the door behind them and turning towards Rin with a foxy-grin, "Ready...?" She would shimmy up beside her friend so they stood neck and neck before bowing down as though preparing to launch herself down the corridor, "Set..........Go!" She had no idea how fast Rin could run, but was eager to see if her friend could match her speed.
Before she knew it, the pair would be racing towards the Shifter Classroom...

Ven struggled to open his eyes as he very slowly came to awareness that morning, fighting against deeply ingrained instinct to stay warm and unconscious for a few more hours, or a week. He once again cursed the arrival of his least favourite season, but he managed to pull himself out from his cocoon of blankets, throw on his now-usual ensemble of multiple thick cloaks andget out of the house after eating.
Even two months after the attack, its effects were still obvious despite the effort the entire city made to try and repair the damage; stray scorch marks on their street from the explosion that were missed during the cleanup, and the sombre mod after yesterday's memorial. Ven pulled his eyes away and stared straight ahead as he stiffly made his way through the city towards the Academy, shivering against the cold breeze.
The warmth he felt when he crossed the threshold into the academy was a stark difference to the weather outside and helped energise him a little, and he walked rather than shuffled into his classroom, dodging Rin and Jesse by the door with a raised brow and a slight upward twist to his lips at the sight of the two girls looking like they'd been racing. Gin was inside the class already, Ven was grateful to see, and so were the rest of the students, including a new, older student who'd recently enrolled.
"Good morning," he said gruffly as he removed the topmost cloak he had on only, gazing around the room as he did so. Thanya was being her usual friendly self and was chatting with the new student Kuromori, he was pleased to see (and he made a note to talk to him after the class). Ven was worried that the age difference might be off-putting but that didn't seem to be the case. It was Gin chatting with Jace who caught his attention, looking worse for wear; he only looked like that after particularly bad nights. Ven sent him a concerned look, silently asking if he wanted to talk about it later, but didn't say anything to draw attention. "I trust your morning's been well," he told the class, glancing quickly at the more recent notes he made. He cringed inside at how lethargic he sounded, but his returning students shouldn't be surprised.

♛Silently observing, Kuro was distracted in merely existing at that moment when a voice abruptly reached out to him. With a gaze floating over to the figure, it was curious to see the amount of clothing the small frame was carrying. It was truly cold beyond the solid walls that kept them somewhat safe, with snow and chilling breezes, a weather that crocodilian despised to a good extent, but it still felt odd to find someone who was even more bothered by it all than himself. After hearing her introduction, the male gave a gentle nod, shaking her hand with a firm but caring grip before speaking back. "Thank you, Thanya, my name is Kuromori Basaran, honored to be sharing this class with you. I too hope to gain lots of wisdom" Not exposing much emotion through the exposed part of his face, the muffled words of a deep tone exhibited a friendly attitude, and with reason, as age wise they were probably much different, and his actions had to be not as tough as they would normally be inside of his shop. A new scenario, a new perspective, different reactions.
While paying attention to Thanya and her cheerful ways, the sounds of racing footsteps echoed through the halls enough for him to hear it all, the position of being close to the door offering such a privilege. Curious about it, his gaze shifted to the door frame, not seeing a soul enter. A contrast to what he was expecting, but it was likely that whoever was racing stood near the door, but not yet coming in. Surprisingly, the individual who came in was a formidable figure, large and muscular with an apparent age that could be compared to Kuromori's, albeit older as one would think of a professor at Eoana. The fishmonger indeed felt odd to be more similar to the authority than to the students, but with an open mind and composed demeanor, it would prove easy to interact with the younger souls in there. Being a respectable shop owner, and a master of his craft, to deal with clients of alternating ages was common, a day to day thing, so the impact was reduced in comparison to how strong it would've been for a simple civilian to join such a young group. With a good morning, structured in a rough tone of voice that indicated sleepiness, or just tired, the probable teacher spoke to all near, stating hopes of everyone's day to have started off well. A difficult task to wake up with disposition in such a cold temperature, especially if one belonged to a nature contrary to it, like cold blooded animals and those who hibernated. Curious still, Kuro nodded to the muscular man, remaining silent to see what else would happen.♛

It was not too long a while later that Jace found himself joined by another. Looking towards the back of the class as the door opened, he was glad to see it was Gin who had come in first. He seemed frozen, which looking out briefly in his time earlier at the window, he knew why. It had been snowing. While for many that may have been a wondrous or happy sight, Jace was just glad he could stay in doors in the academy. While the cold inevitably seeped into the building, he could not imagine how much worse it had been on the outside. Still, while he did not notice it in his preparations and traveling to class, a single minded purpose in getting there early...Being in this room he had started to feel it. Thankfully, his clothing was heavier than was necessary most days so it helped heat him up...but his tongue slithered out for a second in annoyance. Moving had helped keep him warm, but having sat still in this room...had undone most of that. While the cold may not have been felt as acutely as the others once inside the room, being much warmer than outside, the shifter had always been sensitive to the cold and heat. A downside to his shifting creature that stayed even though he wasn't shifted. Hearing Gin say good morning, and take a seat near the front of the class, he was glad to hear despite the unbearable weather out there he was in a good mood, asking Jace how hes been and glad he was here early. Smiling in a friendly manner to his assistant instructor, Jace would respond calmly. "Good morning to you as well Gin. I took heed of your advice, and asked the academy to send someone in the morn. Perhaps a bit too early...but better to be early than late." Jace would pause briefly after saying so, giving Gin a thankful nod of his head for the tip before continuing. "I have been well, all things considered. Though I could do for a bit more warmth...I did not prepare as well as I should have. Regardless though, How are you Gin?" Jace would finish by asking him the same question in return, less being the simply polite thing to do but because he enjoyed talking with Gin.
It was then that others began to filter into the classroom. The first being a tall and muscular man. While he did not seem much taller than Jace, his presence and what may seem like muscular bulk made Jace feel smaller than him significantly. Seeing a nod given to him as he noticed his entry, Jace would give a small incline of his head in turn to the other. While he was interested in speaking and interacting with him at some point, curious about what he transformed into, he did not want to be rude and end his conversation with Gin. 'There shall hopefully be time later for that.' He reasoned to himself in his mind. Before he turned his head back to Gin, he heard Thanya enter the room and seem to excitedly taker her place in introducing herself to the new person and seating herself behind him. Content not to disturb her energy as she found a new friend, given given his response, Jace could not hear anything clearly from his distance to him but found the tone and sound of the voice to be strong and not hostile at least. And, besides the sound of racing footsteps, a presence Jace himself had not been expecting appeared. Their actual instructor came in with a simple good morning and decked in a multitude of cloaks for warmth. It seemed Jace was not the only one who despised the cold here. As he commented on everyones morning, Jace would nod towards him in return to say as much. Eager to start the lesson to have something to distract his mind from the chiil slowly seeping into his bones. "Aside from a desire for it to be warmer, it has been for me at least." Jace would respond to his instructor.

╔═══════════════════ Gin smirked, “I’m glad that you did. Now let’s see if Azura shows up to class on time tomorrow.” He said in a friendly and yet serious manner. He was glad that Jace had taken his advice, it meant that he didn’t have to worry about him coming to class tardy unless he had a valid reason. “I’ve been alright…my sleep hasn’t been as good as it could be, but I’ll deal with it.” Gin said with a shrug.
As others started to come into the class, Gin gave them little nods of greeting. He was aware that the class was getting a new student – a civilian who wanted to strengthen his raiment. It would be interesting to have an adult in the class, but he was looking forward to getting to know the other shifter. Once Thanya, Ven, Jesse and Rin arrived, he took his seat along the wall.
Truth be told, he was surprised that Ven had come to class – his animal instincts were on overdrive lately… “I think we all wish it was warmer…” He said with a bit of a smirk, his arms crossed over his chest to conserve some body heat. They were likely in for a long winter and he wasn’t looking forward to it.
Looking toward Ven, his adoptive father, Gin gave him a little nod. In his absence, Gin had run the class, but he’d kept Ven up to date on everyone’s progress – especially Jace, since he was having the most trouble, and yet making the most progress. Gin was confident that by the end of the school year Jace would be able to shift into a snake, at least for a short time…

Jesse Randall ~ The Shifter Classroom ~
Jesse was overjoyed that Rin agreed to join her in the run - albeit reluctantly at first - she'd had an inkling that she was either growing on her fellow Shifter, or perhaps driving her crazy, but regardless of the truth, the Fennec Child was quite happy with the result.
Running as fast as her little legs could carry her, Jesse's large ears would flatten back against her skull as she ran, flicking up as she heard the Husky's pace gaining speed before they drew neck and neck. With endurance over speed, Rin would soon overtake her - short bursts of speed were Jesse's thing, but she was eager to work on that!
Eventually, with familiar scents reaching her nose, Jesse would start to slow her pace, watching as Rin held back just long enough for her roommate to catch up before slipping into the room before her. It was a surprise to see Ven standing outside, for it had felt like so long since she had seen him, but she was happy to see him either way and she would yip a brief "Good Morning" before slipping in behind her friend.
Her energy a little reduced now and as she caught her breath, she would pad swiftly towards her desk where she hopped onto the seat and sat down - still in her Fox Form. Hearing a new voice, she would turn her head to investigate before giving a quick flick of her tail in acknowledgement. It was nice to see a new face, his scent was certainly an interesting one, so hoping to be friendly, a Foxy Grin would draw back on her lips before she let out an unexpected yawn - her ears perking up, then flattening with the embarrassment that her smile had changed without intention... She would glance away at this point, hoping she hadn't appeared rude...
Although her head was bowed, she would cast a brief glance around the room now, spotting Jace and Gin and even Thanya... Here, she was hoping she'd gotten to the class bright and early - as was her usual track record - but it seemed today that rather unexpectedly, she was a little tardy? "How did I manage that when I ran all the way here?" she was baffled, but at least she had made it.
At this point, she would glance across at Rin, shooting her a grin before finally returning to her human form.
