~ Philia entered Grand Library ~

The woman found herself lost deep in thought since her visit with the Court Mage, the words left her curious. "Three hundred years ago" were the key detail for her to go off of. What could have happened so long ago to affect a man of his position enough for him to with to fix it? He mentioned she would have answers in time. But the woman had plans of her own and wished to look into it. Her research into the war was to be put on hold for the time being. So to start off she would need to visit the Library.

Once inside the woman glanced around, taking in the wonderous view of the numerous shelves that filled the room, books wherever one would look. For some a simple source of entertainment but to Philia, they were keys. More specifically keys to understand the world and its contents. She'd finally focus on the two boys a little up head, one of which was the man in charge. The woman made her way over with a little smile visible on her face. "Just the man I wanted to see." She'd comment with a hint of joy behind her voice. Philia took a second to bow her head in the direction of the ginger boy who was speaking with the Librarian. "I hope I am not getting in the way..." Clearing her throat Philia looked back to Elijah. "How would you be faring today?" The Professor asked the Head of the Library. She held respect for somebody that took such care of such a large collection, unlike those who would allow dust and wear to taint the pages.

“Maybe I can introduce you to her sometime. She is quite lovely, if a bit shy.” Elijah said with a thoughtful look and a warm smile. “It is a bit of a secret, but I think she would enjoy your company.” He said with a whisper. Sipping his tea, he looked to Branwen with a smile and places a small biscuit on the table and scooted it toward Branwen with a mischievous smile. “Try this one, lovely.” Nibbling on his biscuit, he hummed happily, quite happy to have such pleasant company.

As the doors to the library opened again, Elijah looked toward the entrance and smiled, recognizing Professor Maksimov. Smiling wide, Elijah gestured her closer. The hint of joy in Philia’s voice further warmed his heart – what a lovely day this was turning out to be! “Philia! What a lovely surprise. Please, have a seat and join us for some tea and biscuits.” He said as he arose from his seat to pull one out for her.

“Philia, this is one of my friends, Patrick Lockheart and his lovely raven Branwen. Patrick, this is Professor Philia Maksimov. She is the Enhancer Professor.” Elijah didn’t know if the two knew one another but surely Patrick knew of Philia as a graduate student of the school. Sitting back down, Elijah poured Philia a cup of tea.

“What can I do for you today, Philia? As much as he would like to think that she had simply come to see him to socialize, he knew that she likely needed something from the library – not that he minded in the least. Regardless, he wished to make her time in the library as pleasant as possible.

"Oh, I wouldn't want to impose, but if it could be arranged some day, then I'd certainly love to meet her!" Patrick knew well how important it was to keep the existence of Fae-Folk a secret - lest they be hunted down and their magic contained or used for ill intent... His eyes, although showing great excitement in regards to that particular subject soon turned towards the White Raven as the Librarian smiled mischieviously and scooted a biscuit in her direction.

There was a noticeable 'fluttering' of feathers as Branwen leapt high - her intention to drop down upon the edible projectile with both claws before turning and hopping after it as the biscuit continued travelling beneath her feet before sliding to a stop a little further along the table - She of course would waste little time in pouncing upon it once it had stopped before jabbing at it with her beak to break it up into more manageable pieces.

Patrick could have watched his silly companion's antics all day, but as another visitor entered through the doors of the Grand Library, the male found his attention drawn toward one of the Academy's Professors as she advanced towards them. Reaching her destination, Philia would clear her throat, casting a quiet nod in the Diviner's direction before addressing the Librarian directly.

Not one to blatantly ignore someone, the male of course nodded in reply to her acknowledgement as Elijah introduced him and Branwen together, but Patrick soon found his eyes drifting towards the book which had come to rest in his lap during their earlier conversation about Sylrenia - If the Enhancer Professor had come to speak with the Librarian, then he wasn't necessarily going to butt into their conversation if he could help it...

"Tea and Biscuits!" The White Raven had paused in her assault of the new treat and turned to watch as Elijah rose to pull the Professor out a seat, her attention failed to hold longer than that however and as the Librarian retook his seat, she would return her focus to splitting the biscuit up into tinier parts before flicking them up into the air before catching them in her beak...

Valorian Noble || Daravin Jacque’don Kuevaal
[Where:] Library [Outside] [With:] Elijah, Patrick and Philia [Feeling:] Content and intrigued [Outfit:] Noble attire
[OOC:]
╔═══════════════════

Daravin lightly yawned to himself as he pulled out his pocket watch to check the time. Closing the books he was currently reading, Daravin stood up stretching his limbs and deciding that it was time to put the books back and see what else he could preoccupy himself with before what he was summoned to Eoana for would take place. Entering the library once more, Daravin brought the books back to their designated shelves, right where they always sat in perfect condition. Once done, he made his way back to where Elijah had sat to take some tea, noticing that a woman had arrived on the scene speaking to the librarian. While Daravin needed to speak with Elijah, he was in no hurry and he wouldn’t dare intrude on their conversation. Hence, he preoccupied himself admiring the libraries woodwork and design, taking note of the skilfully crafted carvings in the fine…rosewood, if the Valorian was not mistaken.

The academy had proven to be a source of intrigue, if he had the time Daravin might have considered taking up the position of teaching here. However, he feared nothing would relieve him of his service to the royal family. But, the less he thought about them the better. Although, come to think of it…hadn’t one of the King’s heirs come to this very academy? Yes…Daravin was sure of it. Prince Mikhail had come to study here in Eoana. Even though Daravin was typically busy with his duties, he did often take notice of the members if the royal family aroura the palace back home. He had to wonder if he would encounter the prince while on business here…indeed one could only ponder.

Which brought him to the present matter as to why he had accompanied his father to Eoana in the first place. For what purpose was he and other high nobles of Valor summoned here of all places? Why not host this business back home instead of travelling to the neutral territory? Indeed, Daravin found that the ambiguity behind this chain of events was most vexing and difficult to decipher. However, pondering over it would not likely provide him with answers. It seemed as though everything would be made clear in time…

The woman chuckled lightly in regards to Elijahs typical upbeat personality. It was friendly, lively but not overbearing. The man was decent company within the Library, something Philia was not typically fond of. Looking to the Head Librarian and the boy when he offered a seat she replied. "If you insist, Elijah." The Professor sat down with the duo and bowed her head respectfully while she accepted the cup of tea, listening openly while he had proceeded to introduce the boy in question Patrick. Swirling the warm drink gently the Professor looked towards the boy. "A pleasure." She kept her own words brief as Philia was still curious as to whether or not the two were engaged in a discussion already and if so she would rather allow them to wrap up at their own pace, if they needed to. With a sip of her tea and woman let out a content sigh.

While taking a moment remove her coat and neatly wrap it around the back of the seat her attention returned to Elijah who was now curious about the reason for her presence. "Oh, more of the usual really..." It certainly was amusing to admit, it was rare she would visit the Library for any reason other than searching for a book. She intended to stick around, for certain. But information still held a key priority with Professor Maksimov. Placing the cup back own on the table the woman got to the point. "I'm looking for some books about Valor. Perhaps you have anything regarding its past or the nobility within it, both old and current?" The womans details were a little vague, admittedly, but for what she was looking at, there was little to go off of. Though she felt this may be a good start. Shortly afterwards there was a strange, chipper voice. It appeared to be coming from the bird, Branwen. A feathered creature capable of human speech... "Well. Aren't you a special little fellow?" Philia raised an eyebrow as she gave the bird a rather amused smile. This certainly was not something she saw every day.

Branwen’s antics were something that Elijah could watch all day and never get tired of. Birds were such fascinating and lovely creatures. Branwen, Brageet, there were so many in the Academy alone that proved to be the perfect companions. Elijah had to wonder if maybe he should adopt a feathered friend as well. "Oh how I adore birds..."

Nodding at Philia’s request, he smiled. “Of course, I can provide you with all that I have available.” Elijah said happily before taking a bite of a rather lovely honey biscuit. Sipping his tea, he looked down the way at Daravin, who seemed to have finished with the books he’d picked out previously. “Hmmm, while the books I have are a very good source of information, I wonder if Lord Kuevaal might be able to assist you as well. He is a Nobleman from Valor who might have some firsthand knowledge that would be valuable to you, Philia.” Elijah said with a little nod of thought.

Arising from his chair, Elijah looked to Patrick with a smile. "Keep an eye on my biscuits." He said with a wink, suspecting that Branwen would swoop in and steal some if not watched. Smiling, he approached Daravin. “My Lord, if I may, my colleague, Professor Maksimov, is inquiring about the nobility of Valor, both past and present. I wonder if we might trouble you for some help? I have several books on the nobility of Valor but there is no telling how accurate it is, especially with the current nobles. Would you mind assessing my materials, Daravin?” Elijah suspected that Daravin had much to do while on his visit and he hoped that his request wasn’t asking too much of his new acquaintance. But there was no harm in asking, right? Moving about the shelves, Elijah gathered the proper books with ease.

"The pleasure is all mine," Patrick would nod, but refrain from offering his hand in a handshake - recalling his experience with a certain Shadowmancer that not all liked to shake hands in greeting...

Following that introduction, the Diviner would allow his gaze to fall towards the book in his lap - whatever discussion was to be had between Elijah and the Professor was theirs alone and although he could hear every word, he wouldn't attempt to intrude knowing it was rude to listen in. He would nod with a smile as the Librarian asked for him to keep an eye on his biscuits however - Branwen was a character, but she was also rather sneaky and wouldn't hesitate to take what wasn't hers if it was left unattended...

Noting the female's amused smile, the White Raven would lift her beady-eyes towards Philia and tilt her head slightly, "Special," basing her answer on one of the Professor's aforementioned words, Branwen would bow her head before looking towards Patrick who had stopped 'reading' to watch their interaction,

"Very Special." he would wink at the bird before turning his attention towards Daravin who had returned with what the Diviner presumed were the books he'd taken only a brief time before, "Wonder if he found what he needed...?" Tilting his head, Patrick found himself quite curious at how swiftly the man had come back - his attention was soon drawn back towards Branwen however and he would hold out another piece of biscuit to distract her from going after Elijah's stash whilst he moved to assist the Nobleman.

Valorian Noble || Daravin Jacque’don Kuevaal
[Where:] Library [With:] Elijah, Patrick and Philia [Feeling:] Calm and content [Outfit:] Noble Attire
[OOC:]
╔═══════════════════

Daravin felt ashamed to admit it, but he seemed to have fallen into a bit of a day dream. He found that he had become mesmerised by the breath-taking work and detail that had gone into a structural design of the library. As a lover of both literature and art, he was quite impressed with the look and feel the library presented. “Hmm…very diverse…let’s see…artistic patterns varying from…Valorian, Azarian…some traces of tribal designs from Phatavan…with…a touch of Langfrey’s influence I believe… The Valorian found he had a habit of doing this, letting his mind wander in thought as he became fascinated by such things as art, architecture, etc.

However, he soon enough snapped himself out of his day dream as he heard the Librarian’s voice address him. Looking to the Trendelonian, he found himself slightly surprised as Elijah had sought his help on assessing books for the professor, Miss Maksimov. As Daravin glanced over to the woman and then back to Elijah he found himself giving the librarian a gentle smile as he responded, his tone ever deep and smooth “No trouble at all, Mr. Isaacs. If anything, your request is quite welcome. Come, let me see the materials you have.” Once the librarian had led the noble to the aforementioned books, Daravin gave each one a thorough examination. “Now…let me see…” Daravin would speak quietly to himself, his gaze that of an experienced academic and scholar. The books themselves were in very, VERY good detail. The librarian wasn’t lying about his talents and as well as that the books were kept in remarkably good condition. A majority of the books were fine selections, but others, well, Daravin couldn’t help but make a few suggestions himself. Having navigated the Royal Family’s library back in Valor, Daravin also had some experienced in traveling through a labyrinth of parchment such as this one. Also, in truth, it was rare that Daravin got to socialise with his fellow academics, so he sought to provide his honest opinions and best suggestions for the historian’s curious colleague. Once all the books that were absolutely sure to be the best of the best, he thought to himself, “There, what we have here should be a suitable selection for the fine lady.”, as the two brought the materials back to the female professor.

Once the two men arrived back at the table, Daravin looked to the Philia and spoke, “Greetings, Miss Maksimov I presume? A pleasure to meet you m’lady.” Daravin greeted with another courteous bow, in much the same way he had with Elijah and Patrick before. Looking at the books brought back, he spoke again “I’ve assisted Elijah in picking out some material of the history of the noble families in Valor. We’ve brought you a selection. Some of contents in these books go back around three hundred years, some go back even further. I hope they help.” Daravin, once again, mentally beat himself for his lack of manners, speaking again, “Agh, apologies m’lady, my manners escape me. Daravin Jacque’don Kuevaal, at your service.” Daravin took out his pocket watch and checked the time. It seemed as though he yet possessed a good amount of free time, and, now he was feeling in a remarkably social mood. Looking to Elijah, he spoke in his consistent mannerly tone “I hope this request does not seem brash but, might I join you, Mr. Isaacs? It is a rare occasion that I am able to converse with fellow academics and this may be the only opportunity I have before I am to attend to pressing business.”

As always Elijah appeared to be reliable when it came to information when on top of going to to locate some titles that may have what she sought he had also mentioned somebody nearby that would have some answers. "Kuevaal, hm..." She had heard that the name had arrived in Eoana, though almost did not expect one to be present in the Academy. Though she would not make her awareness of them obvious to the Librarian. "If you believe he can help, then I'll trust your judgement." She'd answer calmly. In truth written information was prefered by the woman. Fact of the matter though is even word of mouth can yield answers. She had no problem with the source just as long as it was reliable. Time will tell though and Philia nodded her head in Elijahs direction, watching him moving away temporarily before she would turn her attention to Patrick.

"Pardon the assumption... But it would be a safe guess that you studied in the Academy?" The woman would ask the male, he was rather young. It was more than likely he was involved in the Academy in some way and at some point. In truth she was intrigued by the bird he possessed also. "Maybe your feathered friends speech was your doing?" She couldn't resist being blunt. There certainly stood a chance it was just a natural trait the white creature had. But if not she certainly wished to understand the methods.

It wasn't long until the sound of footsteps distracted her. A male voice seemed to be focused on her just as the Professor looked to see who she assumed to be the Lord that Elijah mentioned. "Mmhm." She responded briefly to the mans greetings and listened with an eyebrow raised in curiosity. With the Noble and Elijah were a series of books. The Lord spoke of the reliability of the history the pages contained, the part that really mattered to the Professor. Right as he'd finished he was introducing himself fully. "The help is certainly appreciated, Lord Kuevaal." It was not long before the woman was taking a look through the different covers, glancing to Elijah and speaking again. "And thank you again. If I might, I shall remain here a little longer while I study these." Maksimov would smile. She selected a book and rested it on her lap as she'd open it up. The woman brushed her bangs up over her ear to allow herself to focus closely on the contents.

“Oh, lovely! Thank you kindly, Lord Kuevaal.” Elijah said even as he turned to the shelves, taking a moment to assess the books in front of him before leading Daravin to the appropriate section where he began to pull books one by one from the shelves. There were times he needed to climb his ladder to reach certain tomes, but that was no issue for him. Elijah was happy to assist and even happier to have a fellow academic present to help him assess the quality of his current collect and perhaps to even help add to it.

Once Daravin was satisfied with the appropriate selection, Elijah gathered up several tomes and headed back to Philia and Patrick. Placing the tomes to one side of Philia while Daravin placed the others to her opposite side, he smiled, very satisfied with their effort. Looking between the two, Elijah was pleased to see Daravin introducing himself and Phila greeting him in kind.

Looking up at Daravin, Elijah smiled wide, beaming with happiness. “Of course, Lord Keuvaal. We welcome the company.” Elijah said happily, gesturing to an empty seat. “Please, be seated while I prepare more tea.” He said, noticing the empty cups. Looking to Patrick, he winked. “Well done, Patrick, I see my biscuits went unscathed in my absence.” He said with a grin before taking the tea tray back toward the front of the library to brew a fresh pot.

Not more than five minutes later, Elijah returned with a fresh pot of tea, an extra cup and saucer and more snacks and fruit. Placing the cup in front of Daravin, he poured him his tea and offered him cream and sugar, along with a small snack plate before serving Philia, who was engrossed in her book, and Patrick who looked pleasantly settled in his seat, content and happy.

Retaking his own seat, he sipped his tea and sighed happily. “This is so pleasant…I miss having such wonderful company.” Elijah said with a happy smile on his lips, his tea cup held in both hands.

As Philia addressed him with a question, Patrick would lift his gaze from the book he hadn't really been reading before giving her a smile and a nod, "Aye, a few years now" If he thought about it, the Diviner would perhaps be classed as a Third or maybe even a Forth year had he not met the requirements that allowed him to Graduate, "Bran has been with me for almost as long as I can remember - long before I came to Eoana for sure - so she's no doubt picked up more than a few phrases from me and those I've crossed paths with," quite the mimic, the White Raven was often copying things others said around her, "But she's not as daft as she looks," In fact, she was more intelligent than she let on... recent events showing the bird was more than just a good mimic...

Elijah soon returned from speaking with the Nobleman, bringing Daravin along with him as he found the man an empty seat. Naturally, Patrick would acknowledge the Librarian and his guest once more before smiling as the Diviner thanked him for protecting his biscuits, "I think she's still fighting with mine," he would smirk, watching as the Raven chased a stray crumb across the table, impaling it with her beak and then throwing it skyward before swallowing it whole - There was no telling how much longer Elijah's delicacies would survive her beady eye, but for now, they were safe.

Patrick's eyes would follow the Librarian as he moved to brew another pot of tea before collecting a spare cup and saucer for Daravin before retaking his seat and breathing a happy sigh - it was nice to see that the man enjoyed their company, it just felt a shame that Patrick hadn't considered joining his fellow Diviner sooner, all that time spent moping around could have been spent in the wonderful company of someone who could in a literary sense have made all his 'dreams' come true...

"Wonderful." Choosing to mimic the Librarian this time, Branwen would hop across the small table to investigate the fruit that Elijah had brought over before turning to look back at Patrick, "Red, Delicious."

"...You're going to get fat." Having already 'stuffed' herself with breakfast and biscuits, to want to have a go at an apple as well would cause the Diviner to roll his eyes and sigh - feeling it only best to warn her - Not that she'd listen...

"Not Fat. Floofy." There was nearly always an excuse - especially where there was food involved - but he had to admit, it was nice to spoil her once in a while...especially as there was company present and she would no doubt resort to her antagonistic antics if she didn't get her own way...

"Fine, but you're flying your way back to my Dorm Room later...You'll need the exercise!" Glancing towards Elijah as though to ask silently if it was okay, Patrick would take up one of the apples before splitting it in two - half for her and then maybe half for him...?

Valorian Noble || Daravin Jacque’don Kuevaal
[Where:] Library [With:] Elijah, Patrick and Philia [Feeling:] Relaxed [Outfit:] Noble Attire
[OOC:]
╔═══════════════════

Daravin wore a small, modest smile as Elijah accepted his request. Bowing his head in gratitude, he took a seat at the table while the librarian embarked to bring more tea. While he waited, Daravin gazed at Patrick and Philia with a curious look. The graduate student, Patrick, definitely seemed to be a quiet fellow, however, there was something about the way in which he spoke that indicated a brightness to the lad. His voice portrayed kindness, a good-natured spirit, especially with his playful antics towards his raven, the vocal avian being another point of curiosity in its own right.

Gradually, Daravin’s gaze would move to Philia. As a professor at the academy, she certainly suited the role. He observed as the woman’s analytical and inquisitive gaze took in every word each page of her book had to over. Her intense focus only lent more to her aspiration in acquiring knowledge, a true academic spirit, something Daravin could truly admire and relate to. As well as this, the woman’s voice indicated a calm and calculating personality, someone who did not lose their head in the midst of a stressful situation, a strategist of a very meticulous nature. Aside from that, she was also quite beautiful.

And of course, that left Elijah. The librarian expressed a vibe and aptitude for literature that Daravin could very much appreciate. Elijah displayed passion in his work, he enjoyed his position and what he does for a living. Honestly, what else could one ask for? A job that, to Daravin’s eyes, paid well as well as being preoccupied with something you genuinely enjoyed doing? It was almost an ideal scenario. Of course, everything has its drawbacks, but regardless, it was still nice to see how one could support themselves in pursuit of what made them happy.

Daravin had only been in the academy for little over an hour, and he had already met three people here far more intellectually superior than the lifetime’s worth of people he met in the royal court. For too long, Daravin had been surrounded by the base, unintellectually bred men and women of noble houses, who were taught that their only goals in life were to find suitable spouse of their station and to marry and bear children, as well as pursue any advantage to their social position. It was another societal norm amongst nobles that Daravin found repulsive. People often viewed noble heritage as a privilege, having wealth, a mansion, expensive clothing and fine tastes. But, such was the commonwealths’ romanticised fantasies. From his own experience…the life of a noble child was not all it seemed…there are some things nobles keep locked behind closed doors and away from public eyes…things that to this day, Daravin would not recount…

But…Elijah’s question of cream and sugar had brought the noble out of such dark psychological confines, and back to the present time, his silver eyes once again acknowledging the peaceful silence, the illuminating light of the sun, and of course, the enticing scent of fresh tea. “Ah, black with two sugars, Mr. Isaacs, thank you.” After he received his cup, Daravin took a slow sip and let the hot liquid pass down his throat, warming his insides as he drank. Releasing a relieved sigh, he praised “Ahh…splendid.”

Daravin’s gaze would travel to Elijah as the historian stated how he enjoyed such company. Daravin couldn’t help but agree, “Indeed. I only now realise how little free time I manage to obtain for occasions such as this one.” The time consuming work of his duties back home could not be underestimated. The noble was cursed with, what the common tongue would describe as “a monster of a work schedule”. However, Daravin simply sat back and enjoyed his tea, the comforting beverage helping to sooth his mind and draw his mental machinations away from stressful thoughts.

The womans focus for the most part was set on the writing within the covers of the book she held, but she would take the odd glance towards her company, not wanting to completely ignore those around her. She did opt to linger around after all so it was polite to at least stay involved to some level. "Three hundred years," that line was the only hint she had. Though the woman felt the answer was more obvious than it appeared. But could not narrow it down at this moment. While she was set on trying to get something akin to a true answer for his comment... The woman could not take a chance at asking anybody even small details, lest one lead it up to uncovering what she got involved in.

Philia gave Elijah a grateful smile and nod as he'd returned with more food and tea... She would take moments to put the book aside and converse, even if brief on her end, and take a few sips from her cup. The feeling of warmth filling her body, intellectual conversing in her ears and the sight of the details within the books, she could hardly ask for a better place to be in right this moment.

If not for the chance of a curious gaze the woman would have been writing down some notes whenever she could find appropriate leads behind the titles she had been reading, instead would put down page numbers for later research... The woman would clear her throat and give the Librarian a curious look. "I may need to check some of these out over the course of the next couple days, if that would be alright with you." Philia knew it may take up more of the mans immediate time if she checked them all out at once, and there was always a chance the Professor would find a result early so found it more convenient to take a few out at a time so as to space things out more. Philia's curious gaze was also periodically focusing to the noble. Having no true idea about the man in question she watched for anything such as habits or general body language, gauging him. Otherwise her attention stuck primarily to the books.

Elijah chuckled happily at Patrick’s comments – he and Branwen were so entertaining, it was wonderful. Elijah didn’t mind sharing his biscuits and other snacks with the lovely raven, as long as it was alright with Patrick. He knew not to over feed animals, even intelligent ones – they had delicate stomach and digestive systems and he would hate to make Branwen sick in an attempt to further his amusement while in their company.

Settling back in his seat, Elijah was perfectly content. The only thing that would make this day even better was the presence of his beloved, whom he missed even now. It was such a strange emotion, love. Elijah had spent a good portion of the previous day and night, not to mention the morning with Ezra, but still, he missed him. Smiling at the thought of his fiancé, Elijah was caught daydreaming as Philia addressed him.

Looking up at her, he hummed in question only to nod and smile. “Of course, Philia, you know that you can borrow as many as you like and at any time, even if I am not present.” Philia knew to fill out the ‘check-out’ book located on his desk. He kept track of every book that came in and out of the library, keeping a very careful and precise catalogue. Even if someone didn’t sign a book out, Elijah would eventually sense it’s absence and seek it out – he was like a blood hound when it came to his precious tomes.

“I don’t suppose you would all be interested in having an evening meal at my home?” He asked in a friendly manner, looking to them each in turn. He so loved company and if he could continue their little impromptu tea party with a home cooked meal and the added presence of his beloved, then why not? “Or if not for a meal, I do have some tomes that I think each of you might find intriguing. My private collection of books hosts some of my rarest books. Not to mention I do need to recreate those tomes you requested My Lord.” Elijah said to Daravin.

“In any case, I would like to invite you all to dinner, if not tonight then maybe another.” Elijah said with a warm smile. He suspected that Patrick needed some added company and who didn’t like a home cooked meal?

With very few questions now directed at him, Patrick would take the opportunity to eat his half of the apple - all the while holding the other half for Branwen who had moved to the edge of the table so he could rest his wrist on his knee whilst she pecked away at the fruit's soft interior...

It was interesting to listen to the others as they spoke, Daravin was clearly a man of quite the schedule, but the Diviner could see he reveled in whatever 'personal-time' the Noble could grab for himself - which was good. Philia also sounded as though she had a busy timetable herself, he could only wonder what she was looking for in those particular books, but it was as Elijah proposed the possibility of sharing an evening meal at his home that Patrick would drift from his quiet contemplation back to reality as his green eyes zeroed in on the man in question...

"I don't think I have anything I really need to prepare for..." A lot of it depended on whether or not a particular avian could behave herself, but whether she came along or not, it was certainly an opportunity to get out and socialize... His nights tended to revolve around a quiet snack with his Raven, some reading and perhaps some Violin practice, but apart from that, they'd become quite uneventful...it would be foolish for him to turn down some company - lest he dissolve back into the monotonous and perhaps dejected lifestyle he'd allowed himself to slip into...

"Rare Tomes and Dinner." Taking a moment to wipe her beak off on whatever was closest - at the time it was the edge of the table - Branwen would turn and look towards Elijah before returning her attention to the apple-half which was slowly being carved out by the bird's voracious appetite... "Wonderful!"

Taking a brief second to clear the mark his feathered companion had made on the edge of the table with his sleeve, Patrick would roll his eyes again, before smiling, "It's always food with you..." chuckling at her before looking back at Elijah, "I'd be delighted to,"

"We." Branwen's huff was barely audible as she continued to scrape what she could off the inside of the apple, but Patrick was almost always close enough to hear and just breathed a quiet, yet contented sigh,

"We'll see." Provided the Raven hadn't eaten herself into a coma by then, he'd consider bringing her along - until then, he still had the rest of the day to assist the Librarian in his daily tasks - after their little break of course!
