It was no doubt that almost everyone in else in the room were in awe and were still trying to make sense of what just happened. Although, he did see some commotion coming from the prince and his friend. He had to wonder if they were alright. For some reason, it added to his odd feeling. After the speech, Gannon too to the mic again to introduce the instructors and staff so the new students would know who everyone was. It would also aid them in knowing who they would see most of the year due to their knit. When his name was called, he stood and gave a charming smile to everyone, nodding simply before taking his seat again. Once everyone was properly introduced, there were a few more announcements before the assembly came to an end. Letting out a breath, he gave a small smile to those who walked by before turning to look at Elijah.

”It definitely was quite a sight…” He let out a small chuckle at his lover’s enthusiasm. At the question about what he thought of the new court mage, Ezra paused. What did he think? Listening to the speech, there were no lies that left the man’s mouth, and he seemed fine. Then again, Ezra didn’t instantly trust anyone instantly. It had always been that way. ”He seemed fine to me. Definitely had a way with words. Didn’t lie throughout his speech. I think he’ll do well at the academy, especially with that little trick he did, I imagine many students coming to question him out of excitement.” Clearing his throat, he let out another breath and paused. Perhaps it wouldn’t hurt to ask Elijah…. ”Did I undercook anything earlier? I feel a bit off. Perhaps I had too much of something?”

During the wait for Gannons attention Eryli noticed the nearby male bow and smile in her direction, to whome she'd return a smile towards, along with a frantic wave. Wonder what his power is? For a brief moment she could've sworn his eyes yielded an abnormal shape... But maybe she was just seeing things. Perhaps she'll be seeing more of the stranger during the new year.

Soon Gannon was calling their names and Eryli went up to accept the envelope, bowing her head towards him as she took it. Her bright blue eyes set once more on that kind stranger who was also waiting, grinning again before she took her leave to start organising her stuff in her Dorm, in case she was moving from the old one to move in with another. For the time being it is better to get herself prepared before going to find Lelyna, though she hadn't thought in her rush to even look around the seats...

All the sounds of the auditorium of people muttering after the speech was concluded was quite irritating to his eardrums. Sokea developed sightly better hearing due to his blindness, so loud rooms were always something he tended to avoid. Upon everything that has happened, there was a lot of things Sokea had to do to prepare himself for this school year. He'll need a dorm, and possibly a roommate. Since Gin has graduated, it's unlikely that the would be his new roommate, he'd most likely be living off of the campus. Maybe... that's what Sokea needed in order to find a way to approach him. Although distance doesn't seem to have worked for Sokea's heart this entire time, he'll need some space if he ever plans to ever find a way to get back to him.

Sokea sighed, and put his hood up. There was no reason for him to linger, right now, it'd be best to focus on school. After he got his dorm ready, Sokea had his own plans on how to improve not only his raiment, but his magical prowess overall. He's planned it for a while, but never found the proper time to start studying it efficiently. Said thing is spells, Sokea has always struggled with his poor physical stature and wasn't really going to improve any time soon; so in order for Sokea to excel more in combat, learning how to cast spells would prove worthwhile. He had a book at home about beginner's spells but his grandparents would not let him take it with him to Eoana. So the first item on the agenda for Sokea was to find a book about spells in the library, but now, he didn't have time to do so. That's for the future, now it is time to get a dorm and head there. Using his hands and ears to guide him, Sokea leaves the auditorium.

Jace's tone seemed to have softened, seeming friendlier. Eko figured it was reassure him, but the Enhancer wouldn't want to force Jace to appear friendlier. Thanya was unsure what a Court Mage's duty was, and frankly, all Eko knew was they protected the royal family, or in this case, the academy's students and faculty. Jace knew about as much as Eko on the topic.

When asked if he knew anything, Eko merely shrugged. He had his eyes closed, and he was trying to ignore everything, including the new person who had said good morning to them. The Enhancer recognized the voice somewhat, but wasn't that sure who it was.

Gannon ended orientation by introducing the new professors. Myrddin had left, for some reason. It might be connected to disappearances he'd heard mentioned on his way to the Academy as well in the halls. He hoped Philia was quiet.

Eventually, both Jace, Thanya, and the other person had left, Eko muttering a goodbye to each of them. Eventually, he opened his eyes, seeing that the shifter and the noble were speaking to Mr. Noble.

Deciding to leave for the day, he stands up, closing his eyes briefly, hands over his ear muffs, and briskly exits, trying to avoid everyone.

Looking towards his sister, Gin smirked. “That’s the question, isn’t it? ‘How did he do it?’ I can’t say for sure, Rin. I want to say that it was a spell…but it could be his raiment…But considering that he was talking about reaching our full potential and power, I’d say it was a spell.” He was curious to find out and also curious to know if he qualified for the spells class…a skill like ‘walking on air’ could certainly come in handy.

The rest of the assembly was more of what Gin had expected. Aside form Rhysian’s little display and speech, the opening ceremony/orientation was typical of the others that Gin had experienced over the years as a student. Once Gannon dismissed them and students began to either head toward the stage or file out, Rin moved close to climb onto his back. Her drowsy tone made him smile and shake his head a little. “Yeah, I suppose we can sort out your dorm and elective classes later…”

Making sure Rin was securely on his back, Gin arose from his seat. Unlike his sister, he didn’t notice the boy several rows back who watched them. If he had, he would have frozen in place, unable to react properly. Thankfully, the hooded boy took his leave and left without addressing Gin and turning his world upside down…

With his monkey of a sister clinging to his back, Gin exited the auditorium and slowly headed through the halls, pointing out any last bits of the Academy that hadn’t shown her on the other tours he’d given her. Rin didn’t have to worry about getting lost on her way to class tomorrow; as the TA for the shifter class, he’d be walking to class with her. If she decided to stay at the house instead of the dorms, they’d walk to classes together every day…if not, well, she was a big girl…

As Lelyna waited for people to pass, her eyes closed, ears listening to the footsteps as they came and went, she heard a distinct set of steps approach her only to stop just next to her. Surprised, she turned her face toward the stranger. As the stranger spoke, his voice easily reaching her ears, Lelyna gasped lightly, her eyes opening as she realized who had approached her. Feeling a jolt of nervousness move through her, she felt at a loss for words for a moment. Rhysian was Kayl’s relative and not someone that she had expected to interact with so soon. She feared that if he discovered who she was, that she could be in danger…then again, the future King of Valor was her lover. That had to stand for something right?

Composing herself after a moment, Lelyna smiled and nodded. “Yes, I am very well, thank you Lord De’Valaer. My escorts…well, they know I can handle myself when needed.” Lelyna said politely. “I am Lelyna Thaniels, a graduate of the Academy.” She said as she offered Lord Rhysian a small courtesy.

Straightening her posture, Lelyna lightly grasped her hands and her waist. Her unfocused eyes remained open and pointed straight ahead. Deciding to engage in light conversation with the Lord, she smiled. “I apologize, I wasn’t able to fully experience your demonstration…” Lelyna said with a small, teasing smile as she reached up to lightly tap the area next to one of her eyes, as if to silently and subtly indicate that she couldn’t see – just in case Lord Rhysian was unsure of her condition.

“But from what I heard, it was a sight to behold. Your speech was very eloquent as well. I admit, I am very curious to see what the Spells class has to offer.” As a graduate, Lelyna was one of the few students that would be able to participate. She just hoped that the new Professor wouldn’t consider her lack of eye sight a hindrance.

Elijah titled his head to the side quizzically at Ezra’s question about undercooked foods. From what Elijah could tell, everything that Ezra cooked was always perfect, but there was a first time for everything, right? Concerned for his lover, Elijah took Ezra’s hand and grasped it in his own.

“That’s not a good sign…maybe youre coming down with a summer cold.” Elijah said with a concerned look in his eyes and a small pout. “Come, lets get you home…the last thing we need is for you to get sick just before the first day of classes.” Helping Ezra up from his seat, he linked arms with his lover and placed a loving kiss on his cheek.

“I’ll make you some tea when we get home…maybe youre just feeling off from the crowd.” Elijah didn’t for one moment think that Ezra’s gut was telling him something, warning him, deep down…Nope, the Librarian just thought that his love needed some good old fashioned R&R…

Arm in arm, the pair walked out of the auditorium, students bidding them good day as they walked past. Stepping out into the sunlight, Elijah breathed deeply, enjoying the weather. Elijah only hoped that Ezra felt better for the first day of classes tomorrow…

With all the envelopes handed out, except for one – for Catherine Enzo – Gannon met with anyone else that needed his attention. When all was said and done, he knew that this was going to have a very eventful and busy year for him. He still needed to meet with Rhysian in the morning to discuss the duties expected of a court mage and to discuss the King’s expectations of the Academy. Now that there were three Court Mages from Valor, Gannon was still expecting to be asked to quietly leave, but then again, Rhysian hadn’t given any hint of that as of yet.

Taking his leave from the Auditorium, Gannon headed to his office to finish some last-minute paperwork. With classes starting the next day, he needed to make sure everything was in order for the students and the professors. Unfortunately, Gannon hadnt found a replacement Diviner Professor as of yet, which meant, yet again, he’d be starting off the school year as the Substitute. That is unless someone else wanted to have the pleasure of teaching the class….Rhysian, perhaps? It was a curious thought...

Jace graciously accepted his dorm assignment from Gannon, glad it was as simple as just being present. He was surprised to see he knew who he was with the large amount of students here and wondered just how much the man knew of Jace if he could recognize him on appearance alone. He, admittedly, felt a little unprepared for such a thing and regretful he had not done his own research on Gannon himself. 'Something to do in the days to come.' He thought to himself. Another benefit to this though was that he answered Miss Kamsings questions and then some, mentioning how spell classes were not open to her, and by extension himself, as well as the fact that his knit class was already assigned and to sign up for one elective outside the auditorium. He smiled at being able to remain silent during this and just soak up the information, as the less he was known the more likely he could get away with his pranks later on. With a small bow to everyone involved, Jace would depart from the group and leave the auditorium, signing up for one elective before trying to find where his dorm was and who his potential dorm mate would be.

Griselda has to admit that something different happened at this orientation. It was not just Gannon speaking at the podium to welcome students new and old, making a few announcements about changes that will be taking place at the academy, and saying something inspirational to encourage them. He passed his podium to someone named Lord Rhysian, a name that Griselda is not familiar with. Well, he will have her undivided attention out of respect, especially since he is a Royal Court Mage of Gran Valor. Maybe Catherine knows who he is. Even in the state of mind that she was in, there was something attractive about Rhysian when he spoke to his audience. Both his voice and body language oozed charisma and his incredible walking on thin air stunt left her momentarily breathless. If people were ignoring him before, that certainly got everyone to shut up and listen. After his speech, Gannon returned to the podium to talk briefly about changes coming to the school, specifically the other professors who will be teaching. The Elementor teacher has been changed once again. Was this the second or third change so far? Granted this is a new year so perhaps change is necessary. Hopefully, the new Elementor professors, as well as the others, will do well. Griselda will be trying not to make their lives any harder than they have to be, unlike how she must be affecting Catherine. Once they are back in their dorm room, she will apologize for her foul mood and try to cheer up. She cannot be acting this way when the first day of school starts. She got up from her seat, wanting to be one of the first to leave, looked toward Catherine, mouthed the words "I'm sorry", then left the auditorium. She waited outside for Catherine before walking with her back to their dorm room and did exactly as she promised internally: apologized for acting cold.

Sarai was unfamiliar with how these school proceedings went. As someone who never went to an academy such as this one, she did not know what to expect. If today is to serve as an example as to what is normal during a school orientation, then she may be gravely disappointed. Granted, she hopes that she does not have to come here at the start of the next school year. The last thing she wants is to create a tense atmosphere. Surely at least some of the students are wondering why there are guards at the orientation. Regardless, Sarai and the others have their orders. So long as the orientation goes smoothly, then there is nothing to worry about. The head of the academy was the first to speak before passing it off to Lord Rhysian. This man made a good impression on the crowd, and Sarai was no exception. However, perhaps he made too good of an impression. The general rule for Sarai is not to trust those who are trying so hard to be good. The sight of him walking on thin air was impressive, and Sarai will not deny this man has power and charisma. However, she wonders if it was necessary to do that. Is he hiding something? She is not accusing him of wrongdoing. She does not know the man personally and she has no reason to believe that he is up to something malicious nor if he is hiding something. However, she cannot help but feel wary of him. Maybe it is just her concern for the people in the auditorium that is making her feel paranoid...or perhaps there may be some truth to her feeling.

Aside from her personal feeling toward Rhysian, the orientation went smoothly. Nothing bad happened to anyone and no suspicious figures or activities took place. For Sarai, it was not the most boring task that she had, especially when Rhysian spoke. Although Sarai was looking forward to some action, she is glad that nothing happened. It was better for everyone that no deranged person interrupted the orientation. She and the other guards can return to the barracks and give their report to the captain assuming that he is not busy. Once the auditorium was cleared, Sarai left the auditorium and returned the barracks. As soon as her captain was free to speak, she will hand in her report to him and explain that nothing went wrong at the orientation.

After listening to the questions asked to Gannon by the new students, Thanya makes a bee line the auditorium doors. After reviewing what elective there was offered it wasn't hard to figure which one she wanted to take. She would muse out out loud to herself after signing her name. "Hmm...I wonder if they will be able to teach me a better way to grow our fruit trees...that would definitely be useful back home."

With her final task at the Auditorium being done, Thanya would remove the envelope Gannon had given her and read it. Her roommate was someone named Eryli Res. She didn't know who that was but she would find out soon enough. Gannon had mentioned that name earlier but she didn't know which envelope went to who. Still, she knew it had to be one of the students there and there were only two other girl students present at the time. Perhaps it was the one with the white hair?

Stashing the Envelope away once again, Thanya would dash off to her new dorm. She had a lot to get prepared for the room to be comfortable for her and she needed to get a good night sleep for her first day of classes!

With the speech adjourned, there was the introduction of the staff, including the new Elementor professor, who turned out to be the female whom she had conversed back in the tattoo shop. It looked like she would see more of her soon. There was a multitude people preparing to leave the auditorium, though some students were approaching Lerato's ex-boyfriend with questions and Kayne had left the place in a haste, mainly because of something important. However, Catherine was ignoring the scene, because she noticed the crestfallen look in Zelda's face together with the soundless apologetic phrase as the other was leaving the auditorium. Her mouth hung open slightly, being speechless because of the attitude. She just wanted to scream at her, forcing her to get over it, but the commoner had suffered enough mental trauma for a long time. There may be another way for Catherine to coerce Zelda to confront her feelings and sort them out aside from the verbal method, but not right now.

Swiftly standing up from her seat, the princess of Valor rushed to follow Zelda on her tail. It would a long saunter back to the dorm room.

Tala's eyes had caught someone taking their leave rather quickly through the crowd and had physical impact not been such an issue for him, he may have perhaps considered doing the same, but as it was, Patrick seemed to be sticking quite close by, even waiting for the male until the row had all moved so the Shadowmancer could lead the way out.

"Guess I'd better go get things ready," Rick would smile as the auditorium's masses began to dwindle to a comfortable crowd, "I'm going to be helping out with Music this year, so I'll need to make sure I've got everything in order," he would smile, a little nervous at the thought that rather than being part of the class, he'd instead be part of the lesson?

"I never considered music..." Tala was already looking to leave, but answered the Diviner either way,

"Well, if you ever want to give it a try, I'm sure I can find the time to give you a private lesson or two," Rick would smile again before filing out of the aisle behind the Shadowmancer

"I'll keep that in mind," casting a glance over his shoulder as they broke free of the crowd, Tala would nod and send the Diviner a brief wave before making a swift exit - he didn't want to stick around.

Rick would linger a little longer, glancing around for people he knew before seeing himself off to his own Dorm Room.

"Lelyna...Thaniels?..." Rhysian said with a very subtle confusion as if he was surprised that her last name was what it was. "Ah yes, a pleasure to make your acquaintance..." Rhysian said with a smile while narrowing his eyes slightly in contemplation. He wondered for a moment if he was mistaken but then thought back to when he saw the two sitting together. No, there is something else going on here. When she spoke again, he chuckled lightly at her words but did not take offense, if anything he was impressed that she was both witful and courageous in front of him. "Well, perhaps that is something we'll have to remedy," Rhysian said calmly in response to her inability to fully appreciate his speech's demonstration.

When she started to speak of spells, Rhysian again was impressed with her ambition. Here she was a blind student, not letting her handicap hinder her in the least, AND she was interested in furthering her ability by spanning her horizons, and learning to cast magic as a whole. 'A girl after my own heart,' He thought with a smirk as this confirmed at least in his mind that there was something afoot. Now with an inkling of desire to solve this mystery taken root in him, he brought his hand up to his chin before bowing lightly out of habit and speaking once more. "Well then, since I now know that you can take care of yourself, I bid you farewell, for now..." With that, Rhysian stepped away and started out the door of the Grand Auditorium to walking around the Academy and explore its depths.

Lelyna was a bit relieved when Rhysian didn’t question her last name or the fact that she had been seen with his relative. With any luck, he wouldn’t suspect their true relationship, and everything would be fine. The last thing any of them needed was for the De’Valaer family to find out that Lelyna was alive and well and very much a part of her twin brother’s life.

“Farewell, Lord De’Valaer…” Lelyna said with a little bow of her head as she listened to his footsteps retreat slowly fade as he walked toward the auditorium doors and out into the courtyard. Breathing a deep sigh of relief, Lelyna shook her head a little. What were the odds that Lord Rhysian would single her out, out of all the people in the auditorium, on the very first day of him being on the Academy grounds? It certainly didn’t sit well with her, but what could she do?

Taking her time, Lelyna slowly made her way out of the auditorium and into the courtyard where she found a bench to sit upon until Kayl and Mikhail returned to escort her home. With any luck, she wouldn’t interact with the Royal Court Mage again for a while…
