When Kayl took the scabbard and made a stance Camilla could have screamed with delight. ' Why not both? ' He had said to her, more or less. She could have fainted she was so happy. '' Yes! Why not do both! '' She said excitedly. Camilla was not familiar with this particular sword. But that didn't mean she wasn't going to try. The shape and length reminded her of a foreign sword she had used once. Though that sword was much lighter than this one, she was pretty confident she could use her hand to hand skills with this sword as well. Taking her own stance, she held the sword out in front of her, similar to a fencing stance. Her legs spread evenly apart, balancing herself on her toes with a soft bobbing in her stance. She didn't know the full scope of his abilities but she was pretty sure he'd know this stance as well. Just from the way his sword was designed told her that the man knew much more about swordplay than she did.
'' Here I come~ '' She practically sang the words. Stepping forward slightly, she thrust out at Kayl just trying to see how he'd react. As expected he parried her with little to no effort. Smiling the entire time Camilla deiced to skip feeling one another out and went on the offensive. Dashing forward she would thrust again aiming at his torso. When the parry would come she would then send up a high left kick aiming for any potential open spot in his guard. Not that she thought she'd get one. But she wasn't going to miss any potential opportunities. After all, this spar in and of itself was a very special treat for her.
Standing at the ready, Kayl stood with his right foot towards her slightly, his left behind him slightly pivoted onto the balls of his feet as he held the scabbard low in front of him. Although he held the scabbard in a low position, the end of it was actually angled upwards, facing in her direction. As Camilla called out to him, letting him know she was coming, Kayl suddenly went almost hauntingly still. His eyes locked onto her as let out a slow and steady 'test' thrust. He answered this thrust with an intentionally late but quick and immediate parry simply by moving the scabbard a mere inch to his left making sure the blade was on the left side of his scabbard as well as making sure the direction that she thrusted in made her hand was head towards his right side. Just when the thrust neared his body, that inch of movement was enough to divert the sword completely, as with her forward motion towards his right side would slide the blade across the scabbard while naturally causing the blade to swing out left, completely away from Kayl's body.
Smirking lightly as Camilla smiled from the excitement, Kayl once again went into the same stance and went chillingly still. This time Camilla came at him with a true strike, firing off a full thrust that Kayl found somewhat suspicion. He waited to the last second once more, and like before he quickly and immediately slide the scabbard an inch to his left, while positioning himself so that her own thrust would cause the blade to veer off. As he did this, he noticed her right shoulder dip down, as her body moved to balance itself since she was now bringing up her left leg for a kick. With the heavy sword now thrusting away from him towards her right, which would give more weight to her right shoulder as she balanced to deliver her kick, Kayl quickly shifted into her kick, bringing himself closer to her leg rather then away from it as he turned his right wrist, and brought his hand right up to her thigh, the scabbard now perfectly positioned to slice across her thigh at it's base. As her leg went into full swing to perform her kick, Kayl slide the scabbard towards her inner thigh while simultaneously pushing his shoulder and torso upwards towards her leg, his left leg now pushing against her right leg as he basically shoved himself inside of her kick, moving to unbalance her using her own momentum.
Camilla had expected him to be good, but this was something else. As he blocked her kick, he not only would have wounded her had he been using his actual sword instead of the scabbard but he also knocked her off balance. Stumbling away from him Camilla managed to keep her balance enough not to fall. But had this been an actual fight, she was certain that he would have gotten her good while she was stumbling away. Turning to face him once more her smile had returned with her composure. She was getting excited. With each parry or display of control over the situation, Camilla grew more and more excited. What could he do if he had his actual sword? Was he always this good? Shaking her head for a second she focused back in on Kayl.
Her smile only highlighted the excitement in her eyes. Camilla had never felt so...so cornered. most of the people she fought or sparred with weren't as fluid in their movements, nor as swift as Kayl. The young man in front of her seemed more like a master than any she had fought before him. But she hadn't let herself go yet. Seeing as Kayl was far superior to her with a blade than she had originally thought, she decided to even the playing field. Though Camilla was proficient with most weapons, her true abilities lied in the hand to hand area. She was more of a martial artist than she'd ever admit, preferring the title of weapon specialist. After all, her hands were definitely weapons, and Kayl was about to find out.
Taking another stance, this time she copied his stance from earlier. The sword was positioned low with the point towards the sky and her right foot towards him, and her left behind her sitting on the ball of her foot. Dashing at him she fired off several strikes, leading with a diagonal down strike from her right, then a vertical slashing up strike, followed by a vertical slashing down strike. She was sure he could parry them all, but that wasn't going to change her plans. On the downward strike, she let go of the sword. The sword began to fall harmlessly between the two and it was in this moment that Camilla was going to make her move. To activate her raiment, she'd only need a second. That second would be enough to fire off a serious blow at Kayl. In her head this was perfect, he'd have to have some serious reflexes to stop her sneaky blow while in her raiment. She was so excited at the thought that she began to laugh audibly as the two exchanged blows with their swords.
Pushing off and steadying his stance as Camilla stumbled backwards, Kayl stayed in the aggressive stance that he landed in, crouched slightly towards the ground, both feet firmly planted with the scabbard held up out by his shoulders held out horizontally at his side after the maneuver he had just performed. He could have taken the offensive here, but instead chose to steady himself and prepare to face Camilla again. After she steadied herself, she took a moment and then smiled once more. She took up a stance similar to what Kayl had done when they first began, and then suddenly darted forward again, this time slashing instead of thrusting. Kayl instinctually repositioned himself as she slashed at him, taking a rotating step while lowering the scabbard at his right side and leaning backwards out of the path of the blade, his body facing towards her left as the blade came down. It scarcely passed by his face and chest as he leaned backwards before he forced himself to lean forward and straighten his stance out.
In that moment, Camilla quickly pulled the blade back up, but could not swing the sword as quickly in the upwards position because of its weight and opposing momentum. Using this lull in her movement to his advantage, Kayl swiftly pulled the scabbard in front of him meeting the blade at the base of the scabbard as she swung it upwards. The blade slid against the scabbard once more as Kayl guided and parried it back into the air, just before side stepping and bring the scabbard down and into position to slid the oncoming sword attack away from his body and into an open position from which to strike at Camilla's then unguarded chest. However Camilla did something that Kayl didn't expect. In her laughter, as she was bringing the sword down, she simply let it go, instead of putting the full force of her arms into the sword. This threw Kayl off for just a split moment as the sword started to twirl towards the ground just after making contact with his blocking scabbard.
Suddenly, Kayl's eyes narrowed with focus and with a burst of speed that was almost incomprehensible, Kayl side stepped while crouching in front of Camilla, rotating his body by sliding his left foot against the ground as if he was going to sweep at her feet. He spun away from her initially, but as he came around full circle he reached out and caught his sword before it hit the ground and completed the slide by sweeping full force directly at her legs. When his sliding sweep came to a stop, Kayl had steadied himself into a low crouched stance while duel wielding both his scabbard and his sword.
Camilla was expecting to get a rise out of Kayl with what she had done. But she had not been fully prepared for what she saw. The young man in front of her basically disappeared from her field of view. Her instincts told her she was in danger. Seeing him out of her peripheral vision she saw what could have been a sweep. So instinctively, Camilla jumped. As she jumped she looked down at her friend and watched him as he completed his move and stopped, now dual wielding his scabbard and sword. Grinning and giggling to herself Camilla knew what she was going to do. With her momentum up she brought her right leg up high. As she did so the air about Camilla changed slightly, seeming to be more charged that it was a moment ago; and her skin color changed to a very light pink color. As she began her descent Camilla's true nature was beginning to show through. Seeing Kayl move the way he did and knowing he was holding back sent Camilla's excitement through the roof. She wasn't gonna hold back anymore either. She wanted her friend to see her and know that she was serious.
Camilla's leg was nearing Kayl when he dodged and slammed into the ground. The resulting explosion sent a thunderous boom through the air and a tall cloud of dust race towards the sky. Camilla laughing while concealed by the dust looked over to where he friend had dodged. Crouching down Camilla sprung forward with a burst of speed she had not shown before. Covering the distance between herself and Kayl in almost an instant. She wasn't going to give him a chance to figure out what was happening. With her right fist pulled back she let fly a high speed right aimed right at Kayl's chest. She knew he was fast, but he'd have to be inhuman to completely block or parry this. Though if he dodged she'd be in some minor trouble. Stopping at this speed was much more difficult than one would think. This particular speed was not something she was accustome too. So she was betting quite high on hitting her friend with this manuver.
As weird as it would be, Azura basically found it weird that the school year was virtually over, as well as the amount of crazy adventures Azura and Julia would go on, as well as running into Kayl and the rest of his royal friends. As it seemed, today was no different. Though Azura can go back to the islands, it would be better to stay, as he doesn’t have a home to go back to. Without the old man Roland, Azura basically couldn’t go back. So instead, why not spend the summer in Eoana? Especially with the many disappearances going on in the forests. At that point, Azura thought to himself to save the people from the alleged kidnappers and possibly murderers out there. Today, he thought he’ll get himself practice to prove himself by going to the training grounds, hopefully catching Julia today. What he did catch, was Kayl and Camilla from his combat class fighting it out with swords. By their movements, Azura looked in surprise by how quick, agile, and precise the two were. In actuality, they could both give Azura a run for his money weapon wise. But with his skills in hand to hand combat, he figured he could keep up. What actually caught his attention, was Kayl’s movements, and Camilla attacking back with what he would see is her raiment. She was almost like the way Azura would look like with his Soul Fists. She definitely moved a lot faster that Kayl had the moment she activated it. C’mon Kayl... I know you got this... Azura would mutter, thinking as he honestly never did soar against Camilla. He did see her fight once in a while, but never against her, since he doesn’t want to show his powers all that often.

Just as soon as Kayl felt a lack of connection to Camilla's legs, he already knew where she had gone, from the position she was ineven if she tried to dodge, he would have caught her legs regardless of where she tried to move. There was only one option. As his slid came to a stop, his stance low and crouched, duel wielding his sword and scabbard, he didn't even have to look up to know what was coming. It would be foolish for her not to strike from above, especially since he was now doubly armed. His position however would keep him from blocking or parrying any maneuver coming hi way effectively. As he saw her foot rise up into the air, Kayl slide his right foot in front of him, and dove backwards giving all of his momentum to removing himself from her kick as she lowered. It was a good thing too, cause what came next, completely surprised him. Although he could feel a sudden shift in his own survival instincts, although he could tell from the very air around them that something had changed, he didn't know what that something was, until her foot hit the ground.
Diving backwards and landing in a semi-sliding position, the cloud of dirt, dust and debris that shot up around them caused his eyes to flash wide for a second. He didn't even have a moment to think however as a split second later, Camilla suddenly came flying out of the dust cloud, faster then she had been moving before. His natural instincts took over at this point, without a thought both his sword and scabbard were brought up in front of him to divert the blow, but it wasn't enough. As her punch suddenly struck against his blocking weapons, he hadn't the strength to actually stop her blow. However, as bleak as the moment was, Kayl was able to divert it slightly towards the air before losing his grip on both of his armaments from the sheer power of her blow. His swords went flying into the distance, but her punch completely missed him and he was only able to do this for one reason and one reason only, because he was already diving backwards when she struck. Kayl didn't know if he could count himself as lucky, or fortunate, but if he tried to block that blow while he was standing steady, she would have punched through his guard and directly into his chest or throat, and from the sheer force that she was not exhibiting, he wasn't sure he would have survived it, least of all would he have been conscious after a blow like that. But in this moment, regardless of whether it was luck, or fortune, he had deflected the blow, all of his conscious thought suddenly disappeared.
Even though Kayl knew that this was his friend and fellow student, even though he knew that she was likely just excited to be able to fight on equal terms for once without holding back, it wouldn't stop what came next. Now getting an inkling of what was happening, knowing that her strength had just increased by an unknown and unmeasured amount, his natural compounded instincts simply took over, and suddenly his eyes shifted into a narrowed harrowing focus as he seemed to have been overtaken into a trance. As his sword and scabbard where launched from his hands behind him, Kayl backflipped out of the way of her diverted strike using the momentum from her blow. His scabbard landed a few feet away from them, but his sword took the brunt of the blow and flew further back down the field, nearly to the walled perimeter of the training grounds.
As he landed from the back handspring, Kayl leaned forward hard as his feet hit the ground anchoring himself before reaching out to meet Camilla's arm with her next strike. Just as he caught his footing, her next punch came, and Kayl shifted his weight backwards while diverting it to the side at a speed that made it seem as though he was moving his arms preemptively to meet hers with every blow. Suddenly this was a completely unarmed fight, and Kayl was literally diverting and dodging every single blow since he knew he lacked the strength to block a single one. He stepped backwards with each one, moving them closer in the direction of his closest tossed weapon, until she was led towards and directly over it. Without hesitation, Kayl maneuvered and parried her next punch while simultaneously stomping down on the loose end of his scabbard, causing it to suddenly flip up into the air. With a speed that would have seemed inhuman, Kayl suddenly spun below her outreached diverted arm, catching his kicked up scabbard by it's end before unleashing a devastating fast slash at her neck using both the momentum from her own forward punch, and the resistance momentum from his spin.
Spinning out from under her into a fierce slide from the swift maneuver and landing facing Camilla with his scabbard out at in front of him, ready to continue to fight if Camilla struck again, Kayl suddenly stopped as he somewhat snapped out of his instinctual trance, and looked down at his hand that held the scabbard as he realized that he wasn't really conscious of what weapon he was holding when he struck out at her. It was simply fortunate that his sword had gone flying back further, because Kayl wasn't so sure that he would have held back even if he picked up his actual blade. Looking up to Camilla then, Kayl held his hand out to her while catching his breath. "Are you ok?" He let out between breaths as he gauged what happened before taking a few steps back as he tried to collect himself and regain his composure.

After the rather eventful year they've had, it would be a lie to say that Julia wasn't looking forward to the summer break. And there were no shortage of incidents going on, both academically and socially, from making friends to the revolving door of professors to the problem with disappearing students to not performing well in the exams, the latter of which costing her a little bit of her enthusiasm. At least she could enjoy making plans to take advantage of her free time and newly-expanded social circle and that propect alone was almost enough to make up for it and improve her outlook.
Today she'd planned to meet up with Azura in the training grounds to squeeze in some last bit of fun and practise at the academy training grounds (in part motivated by her rather dismal performance that year). Jogging her way through the grounds, she could hear what seemed to be people sparring, which peaked her interest. Did Azura find someone to train with before she arrived? She hoped not, she really was looking forward to sparring with him, even if it probably did end in his favour. Jogging faster, it soon turned out not to be that case as she caught him on the sidelines watching another fight intently. "Hey Azura," she greeted him as she reached him, sending him a smile before focusing on the fight that he was watching. To her surprise, it was Kayl and some other girl she hadn't seen before excepting glimpses at the dining hall engaged in an impressive fight. Normally she'd be eager to start sparring and would ignore other people training but she was interested in how this fight went and Azura seemed just as invested.
She knew that Kayl practised often but she hadn't seen him spar anyone else other than her and Azura (who was quite strong as well) so seeing him keeping up with the girl's powerful strikes was interesting and she felt a stab of what seemed like jealousy. She practised often but and did manage to keep up with Kayl while sparring, but she couldn't yet keep Kayl on his toes as frequently as she'd like, not like this girl. But this was an opportunity she wasn't going to waste and kept a close eye on the fight . Kayl's sword fighting skills were impressive as usual but the girl wasn't holding hold, showing her own great skill. However, something seemed to shift when Kayl was disarmed and his movements became much faster and almost smoother as he dodged her attacks before lashing out with his scabbard quite viciously. Julia found herself holding her breath as the fight came to an end and Kayl seemed to recover herself, meeting Azura's eyes before shaking her head. Something happened towards the end that she wasn't quite sure what or how to describe it, but she could feel the tension even from the sidelines.
"How come you don't fight like that when we spar?" she demanded as she stepped closer now that the fight was over. "You've never done that before," she said, her tone sounding hurt in a way that was only half-joking. He better not have been holding back when they sparred; that didn't sound like something he'd do but that display wasn't something she'd seen before. "But that's an impressive spar," she grinned before turning to the girl. "I haven't really seen you around before, who're you?" She really was curious because the girl was quite strong might even be willing to spar. "You're really good," she added belatedly.

Camilla was on a completely different level of excitement. She had never before been so happy in all her life. As her fist made contact with Kayl's block his hands went up and diverted some of the blow. But not enough to stop his weapons from flying off somewhere else on the training field. Laughing the whole time, Camilla continued her onslaught. She wasn't going to give him a chance to get his footing. But it was strange. It didn't matter how she swung at him, her friend seemed to always dodge or parry her attack. Kick, punch, it didn't matter. It was as if he had gotten faster and more focused than a moment ago. Naturally, this only pushed her deeper down the rabbit hole. She was so determined to hit him at this point that she was no longer even attempting to hold back her power.
The longer the barrage went on the more she began to notice that Kayl seemed much different than she had originally thought. Something seemed off and she couldn't figure out what it was. It was like he was moving before she even attacked. It was strange; like she was striking water. It didn't matter how close she got to hitting him, she just couldn't get a direct hit in. Just as she was attempting to send a strong right, Kayl did something almost inhuman. Vanishing from sight her instincts went on high alert. Without really thinking about it she tried to spin and pull away from where she was going but still got struck along the side of her neck. The blow was significantly less than it would have been had she not made any attempt to get away from the strike, Sitting on the floor a few feet from Kayl she looked up to her friend touching the spot he had just struck, gingerly.
Smiling to her friend she took his hand in hers and stood up. '' I'm great! '' She said happily. '' That last blow was pretty dangerous, but I kind of deserved it haha! '' Camilla didn't seem to care that she could have been in real danger had he used his real blade to strike at her. But she could tell by the look on his face that he felt bad enough for doing what he had done. Despite her own smile and bravado, she felt horrible. Coming down from her high she realized that had she hit Kayl for real even once, he might have died. Lowering her head she looked at her friend from the side. '' Kayl, to be honest- '' She was cut short. It had seemed they had gathered a few spectators. This was great, but also horrible! This meant they saw her raiment in action, even if they didn't know how it worked or the true extent of it, they still saw! Camilla was embarrassed. Looking to the girl who had addressed her, she bowed her head slightly in a curtsey. '' My name is Camilla, Camilla Umbrawalker. I started going here this year. Um, I haven't been able to make some of my classes for personal reasons, but when summer break is over I plan to start attending more seriously. '' She said unable to control herself.
The compliment the girl gave her was something she had not anticipated. Someone else thought she was good! '' Thank you! I uh, I practice a lot. Though this is the first time I've gotten to really cut loose since I've been here... '' Camilla figured she didn't need to explain why it would be difficult for her to cut loose. It was pretty obvious. She would be capable of quite a bit of property damage if she got that wild outside of this place. '' Um, I'm sorry. I tend to go on and on when I meet new people. What are your names? '' She asked curiously to the both of them.
"Hmmmm..." The small sutble voice of the now worried Fae let out as she passed through the halls of the academy. "Where is that bum?!" She let out again as she flew past all of the classrooms one by one. She knew that the school year was out for the most part, but when she couldn't find Kayl in his room, or in the library, she got a bit impatient and just started searching everywhere. As she started in towards the combat wing, she flew past the combat classrooms and caught a glimpse of some action happening through the windows and out in the training yard. "Of course!!!" She said aloud, wonder how she could forget. As she started to fly outside, she suddenly heard a loud powerful impactful explosion as a cloud of dust suddenly flew up in the yard.
Suddenly gasping while taking in a deep breath, she saw Kayl suddenly dart backwards, followed quickly by a young woman Syl didn't recognize. The fight was swift, incredibly swift, and she couldn't believe what she was seeing in this moment. "Kayl!" She called out when she realized that he was completely unarmed, and seemed to be overwhelmed and pushed back by the woman. Syl wasn't sure what she was seeing, but thought it was odd when she looked at Kayl's face. "K-kayl?... Is that Kayl?" She said with confusion as he ever so calmly swiped and struck out at the young woman. The sudden counter attack startled Syl into hunching her shoulders in surprise taking another gasping breath and holding it until the fight settled. Syl was so surprised by what she had seen that she had forgotten why she had come to the grounds in the first place. Sylrenya ciouldn't help but remember a while back on a cold snowy day when she was set down on the ground nearby, wrapped lightly in Kayl's cloak right here in the training grounds as he pulled his sword and practiced a beautiful dance in the falling snow. Sylrenya remembered being mesmerized by the movements, but always wondered exactly why Kayl was practicing such a thing. As her thoughts ranged from that day to what she had just seen, everything seemed to click and she realized just how strong Kayl was for the first time.
Kayl meanwhile, shook his head lightly and let out a small chuckle at Camilla's response. He was worried that he had frightened her, or worse injured her with that strike. Even though it was with the scabbard, if it had connected any harder then it had, he could have seriously bruised or even crushed part of her neck, and he instantly regretted it. To this day, Kayl had never actually been pushed to the brink as he had just now, and even he had no idea that he was able to move like that. His body felt oddly sore afterwards, and he could feel himself feeling a bit weak when he pulled Camilla to her feet. "Yeah, right, that could have been pretty bad..." Kayl said in response trying to shake it off as Camilla seemed to be doing as to not make things awkward. Before he could say anything else, Camilla suddenly said his name while lowering her gaze somewhat. She was about to open up honestly to him, and at this point he knew he was likely going to have to apologize. Before she could finish her sentence however, another familiar voice suddenly called out to them.
Bringing his free hand up behind his head as Juliana questioned him, Kayl didn't really have an answer for her. "Well, uh... I mean..." He managed to let out just before another cut him off. Juliana started to continue on about the impressive spar she had just witnessed, and just when Juliana had just turned her attention to Camilla, Syl suddenly charged at Kayl and planted herself directly on his face, her invisibility disappearing as she impacted. "Kayl!!!" Syl screamed out as Kayl staggered backwards lightly from Sylrenya striking his face in a giant splat of a hug. "Kayl, you dummy! I was so worried! Are you hurt? Are you ok? That looked crazy dangerous, I can't believe you were able to pull out of that!" She went on, showing both shock and awe, as well as a protective aura about her as she started to berate and nag at Kayl. As Kayl's attention was pulled away from the others, Juliana and Camilla started to talk amongst themselves, and Syl opened her eyes while holding onto Kayl with a slightly confused look on her face.
"What was I saying again?" She said as her thoughts trailed off from the fight she had just seen. "OH! Right I almost forgot! Gannon is waiting for us Kayl, he said its finally time!" She said as she let go of his face and simply hovered in front of him in excitement, her fairy dust just sprinkling everywhere as her wings fluttered uncontrollably. "Uh, time?" Kayl started to say in confusion at first, but then he understood what she meant and his brows rose up in both surprise and excitement. "O-oh, like now? Right now, now?" Kayl asked as his hand unconsciously rose up and pointed downwards emphasizing his words. "Yes, NOW! I've been looking for you everywhere, Gannon is waiting for us at the front gates!" She said while flying in a small figure eight pattern. "Ok ok, Syl, give me just a moment," Kayl said before stepping towards both Camilla and Juliana.
"I apologize for cutting this short, but apparently Lord Gannon has summoned me," Kayl said before looking to Camilla. He hadn't forgotten that look on her face just before her words were cut short. "We can talk later yea?" He said in a more serious tone while gently touching her wrist. He then turned to Juliana and took in a slightly exacerbated breath. "Sorry Juliana, I have to go, and you just got here too," He said in slight disappointment at not being able to spent some time with her. Kayl lightly pounded his fist at his thigh for a moment before speaking again. "I'll see you later though... yea? " He said before taking his scabbard and sliding it through its hoist in his belt. It clasped into place and he started walking towards the wall where his sword had landed. It was then that he noticed that Azura was also present. "Hey Azura, nice to see you again, sorry to say hi and run but I have something important to attend to," Kayl said as he waved at Azura and gave him a friendly goodbye nod. Kayl then walked over to the wall and picked up his sword as Sylrenya landed on his shoulder and sat comfortably.
"Is your sword ok?" Sylrenya asked as Kayl picked up it and looked it over. It didn't seem like it was damaged or bent, however it did take a pretty significant blow. Holding the sword at eye level, Kayl suddenly swung it about, pressing the clasp at its hilt. The heavy counterweight within the blade suddenly slide down the blade, making a slight clanging noise as Kayl spun the now blade-heavy sword before swinging it back upright, stopping it in a perfectly vertical position. The counterweight slid back into its original position, landing with a click that secured it back in place and returned it to a perfectly balanced sword. The blade and internal mechanisms seemed to be fine. Kayl was lucky that the blade was knocked from his hands, as a result he could give the sword enough resistance to actually reach a breaking point against her powerful punch. If he had been swinging the sword directly at her, that might have been a different story. "Yeah, it seems to be ok, though I might have Leon take a look at it later, lets get going Syl," Kayl said as he made his way from the Training Grounds to meet with Gannon.
As it seemed, the pink haired girl really enjoyed the battle with Kayl, which to his surprise, Azura did too. He had no idea that Kayl held that much power and natural ability within him. Of course, seeing Kayl for some odd reason y’all to himself, as well as... feel like he’s getting hit by himself, made him wonder what was going on. Erm... Okay... Azura said, as Kayl would run off to the courtyard where he said the head master Gannon was supposed to be at. Turning to Camilla, Azura would smile lightly, as she would nervously explain herself to them. It seemed as though what she was like is how Azura was like with Julia the first time he entered the school. I’m Azura Hishura, from Trendel. It’s nice to meet you, even though we had the same combat class together this year. Azura would say to her with a bow. So are you and Kayl going out as boyfriend and girlfriend? Azura would bluntly and casually ask. Discrete wasn’t exactly Azura’s strong sit, as he would blatantly say anything that comes to mind. Of course, he didn’t mean it in any offensive way, it pretty much is thatnAzura’s not use to socializing. Huh... wonder what’s up with Kayl... wanna follow him? Azura would ask after Julia and Camilla would introduce themselves.
Camilla was listening to the group talk back and forth smiling to herself. Juliana and Azura seemed nice. But for some reason, she could hear a small voice coming from somewhere nearby. Watching Kayl as he was suddenly hit by some small creature. She moved to see if he was alright but it appeared that the tiny creature hadn't harmed him or itself. It was at this point Camilla realized the tiny creature was humanoid in shape. ' What am I looking at? ' Camilla questioned to herself as she stared in curiosity. When the tiny creature began to fly and flutter around while talking to Kayl Camilla's eyes went big. '' Is that... '' She began but before she could fully grasp the situation Kayl was leaving and she was left alone with two people she had just met. Looking from Juliana to Azura she smiled nervously before asking. '' Did...did anyone else just see the tiny flying creature? '' She asked hoping she wasn't going crazy.
It was around this time Camilla's attention was brought to Azura. She didn't realize they had the same combat class. Thinking back she had remembered seeing him but she didn't end up going to class as much as she should have and for that didn't get to interact much with anyone there. As hse was about to apologize for that he followed up with a question she had not been prepared to hear. Her eyes going once again to a large, alert state, Camilla took a step back from where she stood. '' WHAT! '' She asked loudly. Trying to regain her composure she stammered. '' K-Kayl and I are just friends! We-We've been friends since we were kids... '' She said quieter than before. '' Why would you- '' A loud thump pulsed through her body. Her body clenched up and Camilla's hands immediately went to her torso, wrapping around her sides. Falling to her knees Camilla leaned forward from her spot and vomited onto the floor. Her hair dangling around her face hiding her from view.
Another pulse rocked through her body and sent her head back throwing her hair from her face and onto her back on the floor opposite of where she had just thrown up. Tears streamed down her face as an expression of pure agony had taken over he once smiling features. Camilla never heard the next question. Gritting her teeth she was trying desperately not to sob audibly or completely loose consciousness. This was the one fault with her raiment. Once the form expired, she was hit with a flood of pain. She called it, the Rebound.
The girl seemed mortified when they announced their presence while Kayl seemed lost at what to say. His stuttered attempt at a reply didn't help his case and she gave him a narrow-eyed look. So he did actually hold back in their spars? What, he didn't think she'd handle it so he was going easy on her? Irritation and anger sparked through her and she was about to tell him exactly what she thought about that when the girl spoke up, introducing herself and thanking her for the compliment, looking pleased.
Distracted, Julia smiled at her. "That's okay, I haven't done as well in my classes either so we'll try our best next year. And the practise shows, I wish I'm that good," she said honestly. And she did sympathise with Camilla, it must be awful not to let loose and fight whenever she wanted, even though she could see why it would be a problem. (privately, Julia wouldn't have cared if the grounds were destroyed if she didn't think she'd get an earful for it. Marisenn was easy-going but property damage made her twitchy). Camilla then asked for their names and Julia was more than happy to oblige after Azura spoke. "I'm Juliana Ankel, but just call me Julia. Just finished my third year here, so that must be why I haven't seen you," she shrugged.
Kayl moved closer to them and Julia turned her glare on him as soon as he called for their attention; she hadn't even realised he stepped away. There seemed to be some sort of purple thing floating around him that caught her attention and omentarily distracted by the strange thing(? Creature?), it took a second for her to register what he was saying and that he was leaving. "Hey, wait!" she called out, "You haven't answered me!" But he must not have heard her as he quickly disappeared as soon as he picked up his weapon. Her earlier irritation returned quickly and her hands clenched at her side. Lord Gannon might have called him but it was incredibly convenient that he had to leave in a hurry and dodge the question. In fact, it made the answer perfectly clear and Julia felt angry and a little hurt.
Snorting, she shook her head and turned back to Camilla who seemed to be staring at his back before looking between her and Azura, asking about the flying creature. "Yeah, that was weird," she admitted, brows knitted. She hadn't seen anything like that before, maybe it was something raiment-related? But there wasn't anyone else on the grounds with them. "Did you see it too Azura?"
Azura then blurted out a question about her and Kayl dating and Julia's head whipped around to stare at Camilla, interest peaked. Were they really? They seemed close (and Julia wouldn't be surprised now if that was something else that Kayl 'forgot' mention, she thought bitterly). The other girl's reaction said enough as the mere shocked seemed to have sent her reeling and stuttering in denial and Julia couldn't help the giggle that escaped her. "Okay, we get it," she chuckled, but her humour quickly faded when Camilla suddenly collapsed, threw up on the ground and convulsed.
Almost before she could think, Julia lunged forward to try and help her, fear and concern welling up and almost overwhelming her. "What happened? What's going on?" Camilla clearly wasn't okay, crying and shuddering in what looked like sheer agony. "Azura, help me, we need to take her to the infirmary." Which was an understatement given her current state. They made their way out of the training grounds and Julia tried to jostle Camilla as little as possible as they left.

Azura quickly ran to her side where Julia was helping her up. It must be an after effect on her raiment. We need to have her rest! Azura said as his expression was of serious concern and worry for Camilla. Helping Julia, he led her to the infirmary. Don’t worry. I’ll make sure she’s fine. Azura said to Julia as he led her to the infirmary. ((Exits to infirmary on next RP day))
One deep breath in, and one deep breath out. Those where the sayings that Azura would study, focus, and repeatedly speak every time he was here. It’s true, that instruments and music would find solace to a troubled soul like Azura, after the many years he endured. Each day he’d feel stress, this was the perfect place to do so. Azura being here in the training grounds, was like yoga and stress releasing exercizes for him. It was a place where the sheer art of combat would tell you who a person was, and the content of a person’s character. This was where all his worries had come free. To become a proper Demi-Fiend, one must look the part. And here, Azura felt at home. Become one... with creation itself. Azura would say to himself. He would close his eyes, as his soul would escape his eyes, and each beam landing on the boy’s torso and limbs. Focus on your powers. You can’t move at some point. Azura would say to himself, as the beam of light had dispersed showing Azura in his true form. That of the real Demi-Fiend. Feeling the transformation go underway, Azura began to get up and train against the wooden statues. With his speed, Azura went to strike the mannequin which fell in one fell swoop! After destroying the mannequin, he realized that not only the dummy was broken in half, but completely desintegrated from the waist down in nothing but splinters. After realizing the time, Azura realized he’d be trying to meet up with Julia so he could go summer job hunting for extra money. After intense mental training, Azura would let off a sigh before reverting back and going for the courtyard ((Exits to courtyard))
