Myrddin was knew of the soon coming Gala, so he wasn't going to train his students to hard today. As much as he'd love to see his students fight each other over and over, there is more to a fight than just hack and slash as Myrddin wishes it was. There's boring parts, or "essential" parts as his colleagues would say. And for today, the focus of the lesson should be at least intriguing to those with the creative mind.

Opening the door to his classroom, he gave the students who were already in there a big wave. He was happy to see that Camilla was in here. They had a pleasant time meeting each other the day before. "Camilla! Good to see you here. And Tala, you're as quiet as ever. Cute shadows, I like my swords a bit bigger, you feel me?" Myrddin chuckled as he pointed at his greatsword. Of course having such a large weapon had its drawbacks, but Myrddin possessed a large amount of strength, so wielding it is not much of an issue. He's yet to have a student interested in his fighting style, which is fine, but an apprentice was always a fun idea.

The large man continued to the front of the room, leaning against the wall upon his arrival. As much as he wished all of his students would just appear, they have lives to attend to, and it's still early in the morning, no reason to be needy of everyone's presence. Looking around once more, he decided to spark up some conversation in regards to today's lesson. "So, tell me, what do you two believe the most important aspect of a battle is?" Myrddin inquired to Tala and Camilla. He was curious on their perspective on the matter. He wondered what they believed yielded the most advantage to one in a battle.

So today was the day of the gala. Azura himself had thought about it, ever since he heard it from Julia, and thought it would be pretty fun. Although, he thought it seemed something to not be very enthusiastic about. With a thought, Azura remembered that she was here for three years alone with just the teacher. She really could use a friend, and who better than Azura, Kayl, and Vana? He still was kind of bummed out that she didn't want to go as a date. But hey, at least they all get to hang out. What was weird was the fact that he'd have to go to a tailor shop to get some fancy clothes instead of his fisherman jacket. It has been a while since Azura had gone to the combat classroom. He loved clearing his mind of things to train here. Being the lasst one here, Azura would let off a sigh as he would walk in to see that Tala, and a girl was here along with the teacher before him. As he asked for the important aspect of battle, Azura was actually ready to answer on the spot. That would be to anticipate your enemy, and adapt to your opponent's fighting style to counteract and get the upper hand, sir. Azura would say, before realizing he was interrupting. Oh um... I'm sorry. Azura would say.

As the teacher from the enhancer class arrived her eyes brightened instantly. '' It's so good to see you again Fausty! '' She said back to her teacher. She paid no mind to the rest of his speech. When he asked them what they thought the most important aspect of battle was, Camilla immediately had an answer. As she opened her mouth to speak she was cut off. Looking to the source of the new voice, she found a new male had entered the room. The male's answer wasn't wrong, but in her opinion, it wasn't right either. As he finished she decided to speak up. '' I agree with the new arrival Fausty. But I don't think that's entierly right either. '' She said not trying to sound mean. '' I think the most important aspect of battle is to quickly, and efficiently, neutralize the threat. '' She said confidently. '' The fast point between here and there is a straight line. There is a parallel to this in combat. The longer a fight goes on the more you risk putting yourself into an unfavorable situation. While adapting, and anticipating, and getting the upper hand is elementary, the opponent is trying to do the same to you. '' She explained.

Camilla continued after a short pause. '' So, to prevent them from outmaneuvering you, the best course of action is to be swift and precise. Quickly find the weakness of your opponent, and then neutralize them. '' She said her tone very even and polite. '' During longer more drawn out battles, like war, it's easier to take advantage of the information laid out before you. But in a spontaneous battle, where information is limited and neither you or the opponent know much about the skills either of you has, time and speed are crucial. At least, this is what I've learned from my training and research. '' She said confidently. Though she was open to being wrong, and she was sure she would be. But Simply adapting, overcoming, and anticipating didn't always cut it, as history has shown.

the enemy will control you

Tala had to restrain a sigh of relief as Myrddin made his perfectly timed entrance into the Combat Classroom. Tala could only wonder exactly how close had he been to having perhaps been invited to assist in Camilla's curious, yet most likely deadly antics... Of course, there was no hiding the fact that he'd been playing with his shadows to pass the time, but he would nod with the flicker of a smile as the man complimented his work, noting that he preferred larger swords.

He would watch as the Tutor made his way to the front of the room, taking his usual position against the wall as he addressed the class in regards to the most important aspect of Battle.

Tala had opened his mouth to chance an answer when the door opened again to reveal Azura, he'd seen the male more than a few times in the class but had yet to meet him in a fight - which was probably a good thing? He listened to the answer he gave and then turned his attention to Camilla - this was often how he learnt other's names - as she gave hers... They were both quite informative answers, but sadly his own wouldn't meet theirs on par.

"Uh..." he knew he had to give an answer and so reviewed Myrddin's question silently before giving his answer with his head bowed slightly, "In all honesty, the most important aspect to me is well, just staying alive I guess?" he had no idea how the class would take that answer, but it was all he had to give in that moment...

Myrddin took note of everything that each of his students said on the subject matter. This subject was a crucial one, of course there is always things that prioritize themselves depending of the situation, but Myrddin was in fact looking for something in particular. He nodded and smiled at each of his student's answers as they gave them, they were all important pieces that had to be taken into account when in a battle. Alas, none of them was the answer that he was entirely looking for.

Pointing to his head, Myrddin began to speak, "All intelligent answers. The ability to adapt in a battle is no simple task, but sometimes, people will just be better than you and already have the upper hand. Neutralizing your threat quickly is a good tactic Camilla, but in my experiences, that is not a good base line to go off of. Most battles, especially spontaneous ones, are not a matter of point A to point B. Sometimes time is a powerful weapon to use against your opponent. And Tala, there's no reason to lack confidence in that answer. Staying alive is very important, most of the time, sacrificing yourself will play into your opponents hands." Myrddin's tone was polite, and he was impressed by his student's perspectives. Predictable as they were, they were still good nonetheless. He walked towards them and took a seat, and leaned back.

Looking towards his students, he began to speak again, "I have fought for years, and I've learned a great amount of things from those experiences. I've worked for army generals, village militias, or just small farmers who were being harassed by bandits. It's okay for you to think differently, what is most important to you should be important to you. The most crucial part of battle for me, and something that should be for you, is the end result, and if you're willing to reach it. Are you willing to kill the person? Ruin someone's reputation? Are you willing to protect someone with your life? If you don't have the answer to these questions at the beginning of your battle, you are at a major disadvantage. This might sound like a lame philosophy, and it is. It's lame and boring, but it's good to keep in mind." Myrddin chuckled at the end of his dialogue, an old friend of his taught him this lesson, and he would never forget it. There was a noticeable smile to under his mask, he hoped his students weren't too bummed with this lackluster answer.

Willow had pulled on her hood shortly after leaving her dorm, sticking to the edges of the now-mostly-vacant halls. She was hugging herself as she walked through the chilly halls, as the windows, while letting in plenty of light, also provided little insulation from the brisk coldness of Eoana's winters. The Celebrar's footsteps echoed quietly as she tried to get to class as quick as possible. She followed a farmilliar route to Faust's Dojo, and she heard his loud voice inside as she approached the door. It had actually just shut, a boy with black hair known as Azura had decided to walk in, like a normal student would. But Willow, who knew Myrddin didn't mind lateness, lingered outside the door to listen in to what they were discussing, for two reasons, one, so she wouldn't enter the class clueless, and two, so in case if anyone who knew her or of her was in there and would begin to watch what they said if she were to enter.

She listened to Azura, and then Camilla respond. The girl said that effectively and quickly neutralizing the threat was the most important aspect of battle. So that was the question, it seemed. Tala's answer was something Willow believed was actually quite smart, just simply staying alive. She was about to enter when Faust gave his response. He first said they all had intelligent answers, and then explained his own, saying that he believed that the most important aspect of battle was the end result, what your goal was, as Willow took it. She found herself nodding as she listened to him talk. When he finished, she took her chance to enter.

She pushed open the door and stepped into the classroom, taking in the familiar atmosphere. Three students had arrived, and Faust was sitting at his desk, smiling and leaning back. She pulled her hood down after closing the door behind her, running her fingers through her hair a bit. She then looked up at everyone.

"I agree with Faust, that is a very important aspect of battle." She began cautiously, looking around at each person. "But, in my opinion, the most important aspect of battle is to be able to anticipate your opponents actions. Yes, this can be faulty, as some people don't have proper "fighting styles", but I find people form their own styles, even if they don't realize they're fighting in a specific way. However, I also believe there is no one most important aspect of combat, as each one must be balanced to be able to fight properly. Some strategy, sprinkle in some courage, add some strength, and et cetera." She finished, sitting down.

It was time for Ivar's combat training but today was going to be a special day as it would be the first day he could test drive his rapier that his family had given him as a gift. He had been training to use one for a while now so it made sense that he should have one of his own. He walked down the hallways with his new sword sheathed and attacked to his trouser belt. the sword dangled, swaying about as he walked briskly down the hallways. He might of took a few minor detours to sweet talk a few girls on the way, one of which blushed when he complimented her vibrant blue hair and silver eyes. She said something about it being her raiment but Ivar didn't have much time to talk so he promised her that he would come back again for a longer conversation.

He got to the classroom late, the door was ajar so he managed to catch the conversation Myrddin was having with the others. He waited a second to let the teacher finish before he walked into the room. "The most important aspect of battle is class and firepower ofcourse sir," he said in a pompous tone as he walked into the room. He could see Tala was already here, he shot the guy a smile before walking upto his desk. He sat down, making sure to re-adjust the postion of his sword so it didn't stick into anywhere as he lowered himself. "The stronger warrior with a higher intelect will always beat an opponent with inferior weapons," he continued to speak. Had Nanashi of been in the room he would of directed that as a jab towards the idiot.

Leave it to a pompous, fruit cake, rich kid, who knows nothing about real fighting to give out the wrong answer. Nanashi said walking in. Earlier in the day, Nanashi had to look for his bag of snacks that he was planning to give to the princess and Griselda as an apology for yesterday. If it wasn’t for Ivar and his antics, just maybe Zelda didn’t have to go that far. But still, she would have ifnit was for the sake of Catherine. It reminded Nanashi of how he’d fight to protect not just his old comrades but “her” too... after walking in the class, he saw Azura, Tala, some woman with pink hair, and the other girl with white hair. Along with Ivar and the teacher, Nanashi sat down on his chair in the back. The real purpose of battle isn’t whoever is stronger or better than who, but who has the better chance of survival. Are you willing to kill so that you can live? Because I’m real war especially, the enemy will have no problems murdering another with a sword in hand... Nanashi said, thinking about his past.

Three more joined in, as the class would seem to have fully started. Sure they were late, but there had been times where Azura would skip class too. Something about today just seemed to make him anxious. Whether it would be the gala coming up, or the fact that it’s his first time going to something like this. Either way, the two students seemed to be going at it as usual. Azura would just stare out the window with his usual expression on his face where he’d just daydream all day.

There was so many new people coming in one after another. A girl with white hair, two other boys, who didn't seem to like one another. Everyone gave pretty informative answers and as the teacher had said, none of them were truly wrong. But the teacher's response was probably the most accurate. The end result was probably the most important aspect of battle. Having the conviction to kill your opponent, or to protect someone even if it cost you your life, to win no matter what, to achieve total victory, no matter what. This was something she couldn't believe she overlooked. Camilla had been taught similar things from a young age but she tends to forget because she's never been in life or death combat. Sitting pretty in her seat, she looked at each of the new faces as they entered and moved across the room.

Everyone seemed very to themselves, so serious, and not very friendly. So she remained where she sat and turned to look back at the teacher wondering what he had planned for them now that everyone was here. Maybe it would be sparring? Or perhaps team exercises? She didn't know what it was but she knew if she had to sit through another do nothing class she was gonna explode. Camilla had many things she wanted to test out and she couldn't really do that on some people so she had to practice alone. Not to mention no one but the school staff knew what her Raiment was. As per request of her father she wasn't supposed to go around talking about it and was only allowed to use it when told or when defending herself. Which was a huge bummer to Camilla.

Tala listened to Myrddin's explanation, he felt better knowing his answer was at least an important one, but as he listened to what the tutor had to say - along with the man's admirable past experiences, he began to understand where Myrddin was coming from. In battle, what was his ultimate goal? Was what he was fighting for actually so important that he would risk his very life to achieve it? He knew very few if any souls that he would truly protect with his life...well, there was one particular Guardian that sprung to mind but he wasn't entirely sure if she regarded him as anything more than a tool...?

He continued to listen to the views of his fellow students and was actually quite surprised by how many aspects there were. Willow liked to believe that anticipating an opponent's moves was important, whilst at the same time felt there was no particular aspect and that Balance was important - Tala nodded quietly at this, it was someone who could perhaps predict a move, whilst having the courage to take it on whilst retaining some sense to know how to avoid it should the plan backfire,

His gaze would then turn towards Ivar, he had almost expected that answer from his fellow Elementor after he had made quite the display during one of their first Knit Classes - Nova's Desk never looked the same after it had met the male's 'Firepower' and although it was advantageous to be able to literally 'Blow' your enemy out of the water/off of the field, there were times where perhaps subtlety might be better required? Smiling back at the male, Tala watched as Ivar took a seat next to him before returning his attention back to what the others were saying - It wasn't too easy to ignore the comment towards Nanashi - at the moment it was said, the male had yet to arrive, but as if by magic, once the words had left Ivar's Lips, the person in question appeared in the doorway...With a retort of his own.

Nanashi's answer was similar to Myrddin's - and his own. Survival was key, whilst at the same time, it was having the will to kill if the need arose - especially when it came to war. Tala hoped he'd never have to witness a war, but it did make him wonder if he would be willing to take a blade to an enemy if his own life (or perhaps the life of another) was on the line? He had to admit, if someone was prepared to kill him he hoped he would not hesitate, but having never taken a blade to anyone or anything for that matter, he couldn't say...

At this point, Tala would cast a brief glance around the room, noting that Azura, a male he had also rarely crossed paths with was perhaps as per the norm, staring somewhat distractedly out of the window - Having given his answer already which had been quite similar to Willows in regards to anticipating the enemy's moves, the male seemed to have lost interest leaving Tala to believe he was perhaps more of a physical learner, finding the talk of Fighting Techniques rather tiresome?

Eventually, his gaze would return to Camilla, Tala would note that after giving her answer she now seemed deep in thought. She had already mentioned that it was important to deal with the threat quickly and efficiently - hit them before they hit you so to speak - It was clearly important to her to be swift and precise.

It was fascinating to hear what the other's thought and if he could be honest, it also gave a few hints as to what to look out for if he was to ever meet any of them in battle. Having brought nothing with him, Tala almost regretted not having anything to hand to take notes, but he was certain he would definitely take what he could into mind - it was worth knowing the skills and intentions of those around you, even if you never planned to actually face them in battle.

As fascinating as Myrddin's lessons often turned out, it, like all would eventually come to an end. Tala would pack his things away quietly, waiting patiently for the others to file out before making his own way back to his dorm - In the back of his mind, he'd recall the invitation he'd received earlier, understanding well why many were so eager to leave. He would take his time however, there was no real need to rush as with the crowds in such a small location, he knew he'd rather watch from afar, if attend at all... It all depended on whether or not it was a compulsory event... He intended to re-read the invitation when he returned to his Dorm Room before deciding.

With the scratches he had yesterday, Nanashi really had no reason to be fighting anyone. Of course, he knew he hadn't felt any reason to since there was a dance coming up. Of course, he'd have to probably get a suit from somewhere. It was a good thing he stole some vacationing noble's bags back then as a bandit. At least he was Nanashi's very size for it. Then again, it still wasn't right, but what was done is done. After that, Nanashi felt that it was time to leave, as he saw that outside the sun was slowly sinking. Nanashi then got up as he would leave the classroom, picking up his sketch book that he was working on, before leaving. ((Nanashi Exits to Gala))

Letting off a yawn, Azura basically felt bored with the class. It wasn't as if he wanted to fight, but it was virtually the fact that he was kind of just ready to leave since he entered. All he could think about was just wondering what he can do in a school like this. Why did he need to learn more about his raiment, if it's considered very dangerous? People even feared him, and Cassandra even mentioned of his dangerous ability if he gave into a mental collapse. Still not understanding it all, Azura was left with nothing but questions. The only good thing about this is that Azura, Vana, and Kayl gets to go to the gala and have fun there. But that also made him think if it was actually worth it to go there without being bored himself. Azura knew he needed to associate with others more, but never knew how. Having almost not much interaction with people on the fishing island tend to do that. Hmm? Nanashi realized that Tala was leaving along with Nanashi. Guess it was time, since the sun seemed to be setting. Grabbing his bag with books, Azura would leave to maybe get ready for the gala soon. ((exits to gala))

If you do not control the enemy,

Camilla watched as the class talked amongst themselves. She had no friends here and with the way the last few day or so were playing, out it looked like she would remain friendless. So the class was another sit around and chat it up, class. Sighing heavily in disappointment she stood when it was time to go. Grabbing her book, and her bag, she placed the book inside it and slung it over her shoulder before making her way through the crowd of students and out the door. She didn't really leave in a hurry, and the look on her face was more of a blank expression. So it would be difficult to tell she was miffed about anything. Camilla would walk back to her dorm and sit on her bed thinking about what to do now.

-exits to dorms-

the enemy will control you

The young lord shot a sneering glare towards Nanashi who had decided to grace their precence with his vulgar personality. "Says the common rufian with one arm," Ivar retored. He wasn't exactly elegant acting in this manner, but Nanashi in his eyes was not worth acting corteous towards. Plus there was nothing pristine or special about him. He was just an ex soldier with pent up emotions and using that as an excuse to be as vulgar as he could be. Ivar would shoot one more glare at the rufian before turning his attention back to the class. It was true that Ivar was not as experienced in combat or in the gritiness of real life outside the bubble of the rich and wealthy as Nanashi. However Ivar had charm, intelect and most importantly a powerful Raiment. All he needed to do now was to refine that power before the end of the year....

Ivar's thoughts went back to the fact that he did not have the same amount of time here as his friends. What woud he do if he could not prepare enough for graduation? What would he do with his life? He did not even know many other options outside of becoming a court mage. Even that might not be the correct route for him since he did need real life experiences to grow as a person. Al of these thoughts wizzed around the boy's head until it was time to leave for the Gala. He stood up from his seat and made sure to tuck his chair in before leaving the room. He had alot to do before the Gala tonight. *exit*

{Enter Leo in Combat Class}

Yesterday she had spent the day moving most of her stuff into Leon's home. And when she was done she overheard someone speaking to Leon about teaching a basic combat class. When he declined Leo moved forward and said she would teach it. She was willing to help out if the school needed it. She was great with combat and had always been since she was young. She was taught by the best who was now the Captain guard. She had gotten the approval of Gannon and tomorrow would start her day as a teacher for a short while till they can find someone to cover the class.

She had woken up early as she snuck out of bed before the sun was even up. She made some fresh spiced apple muffins for Leon as she left him a note mentioning how much she cared for him and she will see him when she got back from teaching. And explain how she knows combat. He seemed rather intrigued when she had taken the offer. She kept her cloak around her as she walked to where she was supposed to be. Her eyes searched around to see if anyone was there but it seemed no one was there yet. Now all she had to do was wait.

She walked over to a halberd in the room as she looked at it. It was made of wood so there were no sharp points. "Safety first." She giggled as she began to swing the halberd around. She had training with one after she last saw Rey. She felt she should learn different techniques to impress him when they met again. She charged before using the halberd as a pole vault to send herself into the air before landing on her feet sweeping the long staff across the floor. She sat there as she admired the carpenters work on the wooden halberd. It had supported her weight. Not like she weighed much of anything, to begin with.
