Nora laughed at how they both seemed to grow up surrounded by water as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "No, I haven't really had time to explore since I got here only a couple days before classes started. I've pretty much only seen the areas around my classes and around my dorm." Nora confessed with her eyes cast downward, somewhat ashamed of not knowing the area very well considering that she was going to spend a few years here studying. As she looked up to say more, she noticed Azura's cheeks turning a light shade of pink. "Is he embarrassed? Maybe it's because it's a little hot today..." Nora pondered as her eyebrows furrowed in thought. Maybe he was just uncomfortable talking to her? She quickly shrugged the thoughts off when Azura asked her if she wanted to come with him to see the city. Her excitement sparked inside her belly and she pressed to lips together to try to hold in a grin until she couldn't help herself anymore. "Really?! Sure! Are there any cool places to see here? This place is way different from my village so everything here is so new... and really cool." Nora grinned from ear to ear, a sparkle in her eyes and she thought about exploring the new city and seeing all the sites it had to offer as she glanced around the courtyard and admired the fountain and the different kinds of people around them. When Nora looked over at Azura, she realized she was getting a little too excited and clamped a hand over her mouth, her eyes widening in realization and embarrassment. "Oops, sorry." She said sheepishly through her hand, feeling awkward. "So, um, where should we go?" Nora asked while she stood up to smooth her dress down and get ready to leave as she placed her hands on her hips.

Azura couldn't help but smile to Nora as to how excited she was to be going around town. Of course, Azura had been going around with Juliana and Kayl for the longest that it was pretty much their common thing to go in the city and have fun. The time of festivals were the next season, in which he knew he should get Nora to be with the rest of her friends at that point. Azura, getting up, had dusted off his pants and jacket off as he would smirk to her. Well, there's a pub that serves really great drinks. I actually know the two who works there, and they're great people. Azura would say, as he then remembered the times Julia and Camilla got drunk from the ale they had there. It was pretty embarrassing, but not until one of them started a bar fight, which was just a bunch of drunken slurred words in which he could swear the two girls were just insulting eachother before passing out. Those were weird days. Anyway, let's get going then. Azura said happily as he walked with her. ((exiting with Nora to Jolly Tavern & Inn))

-Enter Xeih into Courtyard-

Xeih surprisingly was able to get out of bed during dawn. This makes it three days in a row. That's definitely a new record for him. Today, Xeih had plans to head out to the courtyard to practice the new spell he's been researching and working on for quite some time. A basic spell in the Elementor category. Xeih has researched the components quite thoroughly already, now he has to connect to the dots and hopefully not hurt himself in the process. Xeih found a bench to sit on to look over all of his notes and the spell book. The young boy's notes consisted of extensive notes about how each of the components of the spell connect and how they're supposed to be translated into magic. There was an abundant of crude that Xeih drew to get his own idea how the spell should be cast from his perspective. The sketches pertained of lines and dots extending from the sides of the paper that resembled his arms and hands from first-person perspective. If anyone else were to view these, they probably would just think it was some odd abstract art. To Xeih though, it made all the perfect sense.

He knew that since he wasn't an Elementor himself, this spell won't turn out be "easy" to cast for him. However, spells of another Knit have never stopped him before, so it's not going to now. Xeih channeled his connection to magic; feeling it swell inside of him. This process has become second nature to him, not to say it wasn't difficult when he first started spellcasting when he was younger. He finds it easier to cast components and spells if he channels the energy before hand. Standing up, he decided to begin casting. The first component, air, was already in check. That itself was a no-brainer. Xeih balled his right hand into a fist, and held it in front of him, facing it to the left; his arm, horizontal and parallel to his torso. Repelling energy was next. He had to connect this to his already channeled energy now. This was the part he worried about the most. Xeih focused deeply, all those moments he's been overwhelmed by nearly any uncomfortable situation he was in. He focused as if there was something in front of him, something that needed to leave. A creature? An abomination? A person trying to engage in a conversation with him? All of the above. His anxiety started to rise a little, but he managed to keep it still. Xeih extended his arm, and connected the final component. His hand unfolded, each finger straightened out; he then angled his hand so his palm was facing outwards."Gadael!" The air warped around him, a ball of pressure formed in his hand. Then, it released.

The blast sounded like the air itself was cracking and shattering, then dissipated. Xeih suddenly found himself sitting on the ground, out of breath, and his entire arm was sore. He was a bit sloppy there, but he managed to actually cast it, albeit a possible failed cast since he didn't know if the force of the air he blasted was as strong as it was supposed to be. But if anything, he managed to cast it. Looking at the clouds overhead, he decided that he shouldn't push himself today like he normally did. He smiled to himself, proud of his progress. Getting back up, he collected all of his notes and his book. One of the pages of his notes slipped out, and fell onto the bench where they were resting before. Xeih took his free hand and picked up and looked at the page. It's his notes on the name of the repulsion component. It was just detailed explanations he wrote on the component in which how it's used and where it comes from. A question was written at the bottom for Xeih to investigate later. In all capital letters, it just read:

PREPOSITIONS THAT CAN BE ADDED TO GADAEL

Xeih was just about to head to the library anyways with this in mind, but now his full focus was on this idea. He recalled the time where he tried out for the Spellcasting class. When he casted Tamil, that itself had no preposition, something else that was said during that time did. "Tua Diffodd..." Xeih whispered to himself; he has never heard of that spell in particular. Due to the situation at hand, the only thing Xeih took note of was how her eyes changed color. Was that a result of the spell then? Xeih shook his head at that, she did something with her hand to stop the component, not her eyes. That was something else. Only way to confirm this on his own right now was to do some further research in the library. Organizing his notes together, he headed off to the library.

-Exit Xeih to Library-

Reese had spent a lot of time wandering the campus after she had left her dorm, but eventually she ended up back at the entrance of the main building and while she had initially planned to memorize paths to important places in the school she was stopped multiple times by various things that she hadn't noticed on her initial trek to the dorms. The windows were by far of her favorite parts of the school, large panes that, in most places, let in enough light that Reese didn't once bump into a wall on her way through. By the time she'd made it to the courtyard though it was nearing the end of the day and she had started to regret the amount of time spent wandering, knowing that without the aid of the sunlight it would be much more difficult to find her way back to the dorms, or at the very least to make it there without breaking something. She walked about the courtyard a bit before the the sky is illuminated with a bright white light. Reese turned in the direction of the light to find there was almost a straight light into the sky but only moments after the light started it had stopped. Curious Reese moved toward the forest but after a moments thought, she decided against going into the treeline. Reese faced the forest for a moment, seeing only dark splotches that she knew were meant to be trees and nothing else, no more lights, "what in the world was that?" The blonde girl muttered under her breath before she turned away from the treeline and started the tedious and near sightless trek back to her dorm for the night.

The Aurora was a majestic vessel. With its three study masts, gold-lined bow, and massive body, it was easily the most gaudy ship pulling into the Eoana Port. It swayed only slightly despite the strong breeze. In fact, it would take some real effort to detect any vibrations standing on the deck. The largest sail displayed the flag of Trendel, keeping in theme with the rest of the boat’s design. There was certainly no question as to whence this mighty vessel came. Trendel flags, Trendel craftsman signatures, and Trendel colors were everywhere to be found. So flashy was it in its patriotism that onlookers would be hard pressed to see the tiny, pale face peering over its side at them. The crew scrambled about the deck, raising sails and lowering anchors. The door to the passenger compartment were thrown open. Yet the likely-expected flood of tourists did not begin to pour onto the dock. For despite its size, The Aurora carried only a single passenger. The face at the vessel’s side belonged to none other than that passenger, the boat’s namesake- Aurora Harperion.

“We’ve arrived, my lady.” The captain approached the girl, bowing deeply.

She returned his formality with a slightly annoyed look. I told you to call me Rory… She hadn’t so much told him as written him a rather pleading note, but apparently it had been to no avail. It was still “my lady” or “Lady Harperion”... or the worst one, “Lady Aurora.” Rory wasn’t a fan of her full name. She was sick of hearing it announced at galas or called out to her from various family members. The few friends she had called her Rory and that was just fine with her. She had hoped to arrive at her new school as herself- not “Lady Aurora Hyperion, Noble of Trendel”- just Rory. It seemed her parents had other plans though. Thanks to their massive ship and formal staff, this place didn’t seem quite as new as she had hoped. Though now that she was on her own for once, perhaps there was something she could do about that…

Grinning suddenly and giving the captain a wave, the small girl bolted toward the dock. Gold-orange hair flew in her face as she ran, but she was far too excited by her new plan to bother brushing it aside. Before the trumpeter had a chance to announce her arrival, she was halfway across the port. It was not difficult for her to bob and weave between people. She had grown up in one of the most heavily populated nations in the world after all. Yet she was immediately struck by all the different sorts of people that she saw. There were people with pale skin like hers, others with bronze or dark tones. THere were all manners of hair and clothing styles from around the world, and several languages could be heard in fractals as she dashed past them.

Had Rory’s destination not been quite so prominent, she would have easily gotten lost in the crowd. People-dodging may have been a skill of hers, but directional awareness was not. That would not be a problem here though. The Grand Academy was a massive castle, bigger even than Rory’s own mansion back home. It was the largest and most obvious building in town and she had no trouble making her way toward it. Her legs pumped furiously. The captain was certain to track her down- he was on the Harperion payroll after all. The family may have suffered great economic losses in the past, but the money he was making from this trip was still likely four times his salary. Yet when she finally reached the entrance to the school, there were no adults in sight.

She stood surrounded by people her own age- students. These were her classmates now she supposed. It seemed nobody had noticed the frail girl barreling her way through the gates. They were all so focused. She wondered just where they were going, what their abilities were, how she would get along with them… She wondered how she would fit in to this bustling place and what sort of things she would learn. Still there was one question more pressing than any of those. What am I supposed to do now?

Thankfully the question did not go unanswered for too long. As she stood wide-eyed in the gateway, Rory felt a sudden tap on her shoulder. The new student nearly lept out of her skin. She clasped a pale hand to her mouth, struggling to contain a small squeak of surprise. In that same moment, shock turned to dread and her stomach sank. He'd caught up, hadn't he. Her parents would hear about this... She turned slowly, certain that she would find an angry boat captain standing behind her. But it was not the captain.

Before her stood a rather mousy-looking man in black robes. He looked to be about twenty-five, though the pair of wire-rimmed spectacles on his nose were more reminiscent of a forty-year-old librarian. His arms were crossed now, and he might have looked intimidating had his form not been quite so lanky and weak-looking. Still, Rory could not help but feel a bit nervous. The man was looking at her suspiciously. She smiled a bit and gave a shaky wave.

The man returned the wave hesitantly, no doubt wondering why somebody only three feet in front of him would choose to greet him this way. He then spoke in a low voice that in no way matched his appearance. "I don't recognize you." He stated. "You a student?"

Rory nodded fervently. She was a student, wasn't she? That was certainly what she had come here for. Her parents had brought her to this castle a few months ago for an interview and she had received an acceptance letter, but somehow the answer was still unclear to her. It all felt so rushed and strange. Perhaps none of this was real at all. Rory was fully prepared to wake up and find that she was trapped back in her old home again. But no... she was a student. She had to be.

The man's jaw dropped as he stared confusedly at her. She paused, suddenly realizing that she had been nodding for a solid thirty seconds now. A toothy smile spread across her face when she recognized this. It was certainly embarrassing, but even she herself had to find it funny. Mr. Black Robes, however, did not seem amused.

"A new student, eh?" He pulled a stack of papers from within his robes and began shuffling through them. "We're supposed to have a couple today. Val- No, that's a boy. You must be... Aha!" It seemed he must have some sort of file on her, for the parchment he now held had Rory's full name scrawled accross the top in large letters.

"Aurora Hyperion?"

Harperion, she thought, but she nodded.

"Yeah, yeah. Says here you're an Enhancer. Better get off to class, it's already started." She stared at him. "Well? Don't tell me you don't know where it is? Did nobody give you a tour?"

Rory shook her head, offering an apologetic look. The captain was supposed to show her to the gates and introduce her to her teachers and such... perhaps running away had not been the greatest of ideas.

Mr. Black Robes looked exasperated. "Fine. I'll take you to class, but after that you're on your own." Before she had a chance to respond, the man grabbed her roughly by the arm. Her feet shuffled underneath her as she tried to keep up. A moment later they were standing in front of a large wooden door. "Here you are." Rory wanted to thank him, but by the time she turned to interact he had already disappeared. It seemed it was time for her first class.

It had been a while, but now Nanashi found his special suit that he liked wearing on occasions. It was his favorite shozoku that he wore on his first day here. Still, that thought went out of his mind when Nanashi was thinking about the portrait that he made for Jessie. It took him a while to draw it, but he finally had every aspect down. Still, he hoped she wouldn't find it creepy that he drew her very well. He really did work hard on it, to get every detail out. Hope I don't mess this up. It would be so weird if I just talk about a bunch of embarrassing stuff like an idiot all day... Nanashi would say to himself. He was pretty much the first to the courtyard so he could meet up with Jesse to arrive, and go there together. Wonder what this festival is, though. He would say to himself.

Jesse couldn't help but smile when Nanashi had realised she'd actually said yes, but his reaction was enough to get her excited enough to want to pick out something special - it just so happened that the following morning would be slightly drizzly and cool, so although she'd pulled out several different clothes the night before - many she'd purchased from Leo's Tailor Shop - Jesse felt it best to go with something practical instead.

Pulling on her pouch, the Fennec Child would waste little time in making her way as swiftly as she could down to the Courtyard... With her roommate still nowhere to be found, she'd practically spread everything across the room - which had then demanded putting away just incase Rin returned... but after that, the Fox could only hope that she wouldn't be too late and started up the corridor...

Exiting out of the large doors, her ears would flick backwards in panic, seeing Nanashi already standing there - looking very presentable, yet perhaps lost in thought? She couldn't help but ponder... "I wonder...?" Hoping he hadn't heard her enter, Jesse would take on her Fennec Form, and take a wide circle off to the side, hoping she might be able to just 'pop up' out of nowhere and catch him off guard - Although this was always quite a dangerous thing to do around some people, the Fox always seemed to believe she'd get away with it and so set the plan into action...

She would wait until she had positioned herself just behind the male before returning to her human form, "Hey!" She would grin, lacing her fingers behind her as her long tail swished playfully from side to side,

Okay, Nanashi. Be as cool as you can be. Act like you're interested in her.... Ah, I always am! I just gotta not look like a total spazz around her, and-- That moment, which he did not expect is Jesse sneaking up behind him and calling his name, which made him jump and squeal like a girl. Eeep!! It was pretty ironic how he said to act cool and collected, which ended up just blowing up in his face when Nanashi was startled from Jesse. Erm... Er... That didn't scare me! I saw you coming a mile away! heheh.... Uuugh... He lied, not wanting to admit that she got him back. Anyway, you look nice. I like the coat. Nanashi said to her, as he pulled a portrait out of his bag. Also, this is for you. In advanced, I know it seems weird, but I kinda thought about maybe drawing a portrait of you. Hope you like it. Nanashi said, trying to be his tough and cool side which was an obvious front to hide the fact that he's blushing. So! Ready to go? He asked her.

Jesse's ears would naturally flatten back at the Elementor's somewhat less than masculine yelp, but his reaction to her sudden appearance brought a brief and joyful grin to her face before she 'played along' with his not being scared. "It didn't? Darn," she stuck her tongue out as she made a face, then her smile returned, "I'm glad you like it," she would nod, "I did have something else picked out, but well, it's a little colder than I expected," as she spoke, her eyes would flit across the male's own attire, he looked very smart.

She would have asked him about his suit but Nanashi would draw her attention instead to his bag out of which he drew a portrait which he handed to her - her eyes would glance up to his face first, he appeared to be blushing but she didn't want to embarrass him by drawing attention to it and instead glanced down at the picture - of her? "Oh Wow! This is really good!" She'd never been given anything like that before - especially a picture of herself - but regardless of how 'creepy' some others may have found it, Jesse had always believed that it was the thought that counted and so she rolled it up carefully so not to damage it before placing it in her pouch,

"I don't think I have the skills to create something like that, but I could try - if you liked?" one of her ears would quirk out sideways as she considered giving it a try before the male asked if she was ready to go,

"Ooh yes!" her tail would swish excitedly from side to side, "Did you wanna race?" she was happy to walk down like any normal friends would do, but if Nanashi was game, she couldn't wait to transform and give him a run for his money!

Oh, that's fine! You don'treally have to, I just thought it would be nice, you know? he said smiling to Jesse who seemed to want to do something similar back for him. In all honesty, just seeing her smile was enough for him. Still, when she asked for the race with him, Nanashi smirked as he knew she was just as fast, if not, faster than him. Oh you're on! Nanashi said with a smirk. loser pays for the winner! Readygo!!!! Nanashi virtually explained the rules quickly, and just to be cheeky, he even went as far as to get a head start on her, by starting the race before she could notice. Chuckling, Nanashi was off, leaping high into the air climbing the walls of buildings and running from rooftop to rooftop. Of course, he would slow down just so Jesse could get there ahead of him. ((Exits before Jesse to City square just so she can win))

[Thanya enters the courtyard for the beginning of the new rp day.]

With a heavy heart but ready to make up for her mistake, Thanya enters the courtyard. She walks over to the fountain and begins to look for the other students who were in trouble with her. This was where she was told to report to for her detention so figured someone would come along eventually and tell her what she needed to do. Most everyone had left the academy for the festival so the place felt rather empty. Did they perhaps forget about her?

Thanya sits on the edge of the fountain and kicks at the rocks on the ground. She had thought about bringing a book to read but she felt that would be inappropriate given that she would probably given a task to do.

╔═══════════════════

[ - Enter the Courtyard for New RP Day - ]

With Rin on his back, Gin huffed a bit as he walked over toward the fountain. He’d received a note from Gannon detailing what their task for the day was to be and it wasn’t going to be fun. Catching sight of Thanya, he walked toward her, giving her a small nod. He hadnt had much opportunity to talk to her since the ‘incident’ but he knew he should say something.

“Hey, Thanya…Im glad to see that youre alright.” He was of course referring to the aftermath of the incident itself. She looked pretty down, but that was to be expected. “Don’t worry too much about what happened. We cant change the past – I know that best – all that we can do is keep moving forward. As long as you learn from your mistake, then all is forgiven, okay?” Somehow, he could tell that the poor girl would beat herself up over what had happened, but as someone who was supposed to be guiding her on her academic journey, he didn’t want that to go on for too long.

“In any case, our first task for ‘detention’ is to gather up all of the fallen leaves on the Academy grounds. Its going to be a tedious task to say the least, but it’s a nice day and with at least three of us working together, it wont be so bad.” He had no idea where Sokea was, so he want sure if there would be a fourth, but for the time being, at least the three of them could work together.

Setting Rin down, he looked around. “There should be some rakes in the groundskeeping area…does one of you want to run over and check or shall I go?” He wanted at least some interaction from the girls – both seemed to be very withdrawn.

Thanya had a hard time making eye contact with Gin and his sister but after he talked to her about moving forward she was able to at able to look at him. Could he forgive her? Well first she wanted to prove she was worth forgiving. Taking Q'ara's words to heart she would take up Gin's task. "I'll go get the rakes."

Thanya scurries over to the grounds keeping shed in the corner of the courtyard. She had hunted frogs around it in binturing form on her first few day at the Acedemy so she was well aware of its locations. After rummaging around in it for a few minutes she would emerge with four wooden rakes and come running back to the others.

As she returned to Gin she heard several loud bangs emanate from the direction of the city. Thanya would c**k her head to one side and ask curiously. "Were those...explosions? I had no idea such things would be taking place at the festival. Could those be the fireworks I read about?"

    -New RP day-

Sokea's current physical condition is finally better than it was yesterday. He had a nasty cold which prevented him from going to his favorite class. Though he did miss his class, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It allowed to leave a large amount of time with Sokea to only be accompanied by this thoughts. Thoughts about how he acted in the Court Mage's office. Was he sorry for what he said? Nah, not a chance. He's only sorry for wasting everyone's time. He was aware of his misinterpretation of Gannon's words, however he still said what he said, and Sokea did was not complicit with it. Can't change the past though, only thing left is to move forward. Sokea is slightly bummed out that he can't go the festival today, and in all honesty he'll most likely ditch detention if the others agree to do so. Wouldn't be a wise decision, but if if they do their jobs in reasonably well in a reasonable amount of time, then Sokea will be suggesting to at least check in on the festival.

Walking into the courtyard, Sokea briefly used Gin's eyes to see where everyone was. Sokea approached the group, switching his eyes back to their natural state. He waved his hand softly at them. "I'm back from the dead, regrettably. I'm too sick for class and I get better just in time for detention. I'm truly blessed. Glad to see you guys, even if I won't be seeing you." Sokea smiled, a forced half one. He wasn't necessarily in a good mood; but it'd be better to try to be happy then not be, especially given their predicament. Sokea stretched his arms, and yawned. He really did not want to be here, but such is life when you act responsibly for the people you care about. He heard the pitter patter of someone's feet approaching, then a girl's voice. It was the shifter one, the one that went into the forest and caused a panic, nearly killing a bunch of people. How pleasant.

Before Sokea said anything, there was a variety of loud sounds erupting from the city. They did not sound good, nor a part of the festival. A slight wave a worry made it's way through Sokea's spine, if something bad was happening at the festival, none of them should go said bad thing. Every thought of ditching detention left Sokea's mind at this point. It was too early in the day for something like fireworks to start right now. "I propose that we don't venture into the city; it's too early for fireworks, something bad probably happened. Hopefully it's just some troublemaker wanting to annoy people. We should stay here, even if Gin has a knack for saving people. Speaking of which..." Sokea stepped a little closer to Gin, his deep red eyes gazing at the wolf shifter, "Was this moment a vision perhaps? I worry, Gin. I'd hate to follow you into near death again; I hear that near death situations are bad for the eyes." Sokea's voice was soft, and a tad more serious than normal. He had a gut feeling that whatever happened, they shouldn't be a part of it.

~ Catherine entered on New Day ~

The Shifter sighed as she was carried to the Academy to start her "detention" with Gin, Thanya and Sokea... The girls eyes were dull as they scanned the area, part of her was expected the Court Mage himself to be waiting for them, yet all she spotted was an equally mopey Thanya. How can she blame her though, it's not an easy thing to just get over. Gin would approach with Rin still staring blankly over his shoulder, yet her stare would avoid Thanya's as her brother spoke. He mentioned how the past was set and that worrying about it wont make a difference. Words that Rin knew all too well.

After Gin informed them they would be gathering leaves and let Rin off his back, all the Shifter girl could respond with was a short. "Mmhm..." It didn't take long for Thanya to volunteer to find the tools they required, today was going to be a long one for sure... Just as Thanya had returned with the rakes, Sokea turned up and on top of that, there was a distant sound coming from the direction of the City... It sounded like explosions? "Maybe..." She hesitated to guess, hoping it was more likely someone was causing trouble with fireworks. Catherine couldn't help but feel something was off though. For now Rin approached Thanya and without saying a word took one of the rakes and started to slowly drag leaves into small piles.
