Although the things she is feeling are not new to her, and are no longer as frightening as they were the first time she experienced this - she still maintains a certain amount of apprehension. It's a big step in her life, after all. There's so much still to prepare for, and like any doe in her position, she can't help but to worry sometimes.
Sometimes, though, she finds herself smiling at odd times, for no particular reason at all.
It's a wonderful thing, truly, and she doesn't take it lightly.
The MotherFather has seen fit to grant her the wondrous gift of new life. She is, it would seem, rather pregnant.
Now she makes her way carefully, and somewhat awkwardly, out of her den, needing to stretch her legs a little. The exercise will do her some good, she knows, though these days she never gets very far, and has learned her lesson well from the last time she was in such a condition.
She goes as far as the soft, mossy, grass that grows outside of her den near the creek, before she carefully lies herself down and lets out a huff of breath.
Now and then, she swears she can almost feel them moving about inside of her. Beginning to dream perhaps.
Poppy closes her eyes and turns her head to the sun, and smiles. She is happy, and yet even so, despite these thoughts, there is that persistent current of anxiety - not overwhelming, but present all the same.
