Ghosts. Fine. Her province was the minds of the living, but whatever. She could deal. She headed into the armory - away from Eridia, because she had no desire to deal with the purpleblood right then.
Besides, there might be stuff to get.
Psykgi went over to investigate a promising looking chest, only to find that it was... occupied. Probably nothing of value there at this point, best to back off.

Oh, hey, armor. Psykgi was all for armor. Well, more for medicines but hey - that was good too. Armor meant less medicine.
Well, not so much leather, but maybe there was something behind the leather, or the cuirass would trigger something, or her lusus might like to munch on it.
The latter was more likely, as it was disgusting as hell. Psykgi backed away and left it to the swarm... if they ever bothered to properly infest this place.

Psykgi knelt to investigate something and regretted it. Nail clippings. Yuck.
Now, she had a high tolerance for mess and dirt, given her lusus, but nail clippings were just not okay.
She gave the room around her a half-amused glower before returning to her feet and resuming her search - it would be so great to finally get this stupid eyesore out of her city.

Psykgi's only warning that something was about to happen was her lusus swarming - very suddenly - around her. An area that had been empty was now full of cockroaches.
"Ma...?" Psykgi managed, surprised to see her lusus (why, she wasn't sure) before realizing with a start that she should probably move.
The piece of rubble-covered floor she'd been standing on shifted with a groan and she barely managed to avoid being tripped up by it.
"Fantastic." The place was just a ramshackle mess, wasn't it.

And just as quickly as they'd spilled out of psykgi's immediate surroundings, the cockroach swarm returned to it's hiding spot. Why? Psy had no ******** idea. Ma'am did whatever she wanted, and sometimes Psy just didn't understand her lusus. That was fine.
Even better, though, was the swatch of red that caught her eye. She didn't bend down, not wanting a repeat of the not-so-fresh cuirass, but she did move it closer with the handle of her axe to investigate.
It was something much less lame - a knife! She picked it up and played with it, trying to flip it open out of pure idle interest. It was a switchblade - a very sharp one to be exact, and more or less familiar. She picked it up and stuck it in a pocket for later, when she'd report it or something.

As she moved on, a few memories tickled her thinkpan - of the armory, of a certain redblood who had met their end here. Once, she'd actually been inspired by Schraad to a degree - a redblood who had clawed their way into respect and admiration.
She wasn't entirely clear on what had happened to Schraad that night, or why the redblood had met her end, but - with the knife a trigger for her memories, she wondered if she should have asked her something. Anything. Now that she was also in the military, also trying to claw some renown to her, if she had another chance to...
Nah.
That was a stupid thought. Ghosts or no ghosts, their existance nonwithstanding, Psykgi didn't care that much. She didn't need advice, she just needed to take action, do the thing, be the best troll she could be...
Which, right now, was hurrying up her search and heading for the door before the goddamn floor fell out from under her.

As Psykgi cautiously made her way back to the 'safe' zone, she noticed a piece of paper fluttering uselessly under some rubble. Extra useless, she realized, because it was an expired coupon.
Though... it had just expired the day before. Very recent. So, either it was blown in on the wind, or there was a very recent inhabitant (Psykgi hesitated to call them a resident) who had some use for laundry detergent.
Which was, probably, no one who was squatting in this old dump. Whatever - she picked it up anyway (because litter isn't cool, yo) and left for the time being.
