Keep her wits about her, Nahori could do that. Sort of. Taking a break from the exploration had been good for her, at least. It had given her enough time to remind herself why she was here—to make a good impression, of course, among other things like generally being a good soldier. With that, she was able to gather her courage enough to keep moving through the mansion full of bad memories.
"Oh, I'm surprised this hasn't been taken," she muttered mostly to herself, reaching for a piece of armor hung over a nearby rack. As soon as she touched it, though, she regretted it.
The elements had left the cuirass moist and sticky and uncomfortable to the touch and when Nahori withdrew her hand, it smelled. She made a face. Well, so much for that.

 Static Charge
The Military Beans
"What did you find?" Static asked as he walked over to the two girls. He looked at Nahori's find and cocked his head. "Armor? Thats kinda cool, whats it-" Then the smell came, and the blueblood flinched away.
The boy's step made the floor creak, and he heard a shuffle of... claws... and some sort of creature moving around... It brought back flashbacks of just an hour earlier, where 3 nut beasts had literally driven him through the floor. The blueblood flinched back. No more nutbeasts! "Captain!" Static said, flinching back. Kursha needed to literally kill them all. "Ive, uh, found another target for you to... practice on." Static said, wishing that the greenblood would actually pull out his gun this time.

HAZARD: One of the beams from the ceiling drops down, causing a creature above you to hiss and skedaddle into the rafters and a creature below you to scatter into the hole that said beam created.

Captain Kursha Vidari
“I'm not wasting ammunition on vermin,” the greenblood replied, kicking the nutbeast out of the way. Never mind that he had been perfectly happy to do so in the southern outgrowth. “And I definitely don't need practise.” His tone might have been biting, but it had less to do with Static, and more to do with the memories attached to the armoury. And Puchen. He had never quite managed to figure out a way to exact vengeance on the blueblood, although that was probably for the better. It seemed like none of his old revenge plots ever worked out.
Sarcel called his name suddenly, and Kursha looked up, alert. The blueblood lobbed a metallic disk through the air. He caught it between two hands, and let out a yelp. His whole body tingled with the buzz of electricity, while his hair stood on end. He dropped the thing with a clatter. Scowling he glared down at it: a hand buzzer. Eyes narrowed, he returned his gaze to Sarcel. The blueblood seemed oblivious, but... she always had a good poker face. There was no way that had been unintentional. Yet Cincil? Pranking him? Impossible.
“Good find, lieutenant,” he managed as breezily as he could, once he had gathered his wits. He turned his back and returned to examining the room. One thing was certain: whether Sarcel meant to or not, he was going to find a way to get her back.
For instance, this firecracker seemed like a pretty good starting place...

Familiar faces, finally! After needing a break from what once could have been considered a library and getting rid of those mascara trails, Elidae joined up with Sarcel and Kursha, and two other very familiar trolls. Static seemed nice enough- she recalled him on one of their ship missions back on base. And Nahori? Total sweetheart!
This location... she didn't really recognize at all. She must not have seen the armory way back when. Elidae caught the tail end of Sarcel tossing Kursha a round object, only for him to immediately drop it comically. Clamping a hand over her masked face to stifle a loud giggle, Elidae turned around, hoping Kursha wouldn't see. "Oh!" A glint of purple caught her eye. Shuffling over to it, she kicked aside a few rocks and rubble to find.. a pair of glasses! Elidae immediately picked them up and wiped the single purple lens off on her jacket, then popped them on her face.
In a half purple-tinted world, she twirled around enthusiastically, spreading her arms up as she did so, and struck a pose. "Lookit these cool glasses, guys! ... actually, these are really quite familiar."

Sarcel watched very carefully as Kursha looked over, caught the object, and then dropped it with a yelp. Turning away, she couldn't help the fact that her shoulders were slightly shaking. It was kind of funny, even though the laughter was partially tainted with self disappointment. Now wasn't the time to mess around. Then again, apologizing would be admitting to her own little prank. At least it got a tiny, barely-there smile out of her.
Oh well. Kursha deserved it after the whole bulge thing.
"I'd wager there's more vermin here than bullets in your case, anyway." Sarcel commented as she watched a pair of reflective eyes stare back. Elidae speaking up had her looking over at the yellowblood with... the purple glasses.
"Weren't those...?" Ah, the name was on the tip of her tongue. She could remember the scene in the hive with Zindel, with the purpleblood-but-not-really up in arms over the accusations, "Ah. Gerard's?" Turns out Zindel had been right all those sweeps ago. Who knew.
Water under the bridge now at least. She made her way over to Nahori. She'd be rather quiet--which wasn't unusual--but it was good to check in on things from time to time.

Nahori's eyes were cast to the ground and looking for obstacles when Sarcel approached. If the orangeblood had noticed what was going on between the rest of the group, the momentary fooling around, she didn't show it. Truth was she had, she wasn't that oblivious, but it was easier to pretend like she hadn't to avoid ending up in the middle.
Well, okay, she did manage a smile at Elidae wearing the half-glasses. It was cute.
"Nothing important over here, sir..." Nahori told Sarcel, turning to look up at her. As she did, something creaked overhead. One of the ceiling beams broke loose and slammed into the floor near her. With a sharp gasp, the orangeblood stumbled forward and stared into the hole left behind.
"Keep... keep an eye out above you, too... I guess," she mumbled.

Captain Kursha Vidari
From beneath the rubble, Kursha found a small holster. He examined it with a critical eye, appraising its condition. It appeared unsullied as far as he could tell, showing no lasting signs of fire or water damage. Curious, given the status of the rest of the mansion. Could it be a recent addition to the abandoned hive, or did some kind of ghostly powers prevent it from ageing? With no answer for the time being, he clipped it onto his belt.
“Gross,” Kursha remarked, when Static presented his latest fine. He looked over the t-shirt with disgust. It looked well worn. Too well worn. His nose wrinkled at the sight of the dark arm pits. Maybe the blueblood was onto something though. His mouth quirked into a grin and he flashed a devious smile at Elidae. “I dare you to wear it, Bonbon.”
