The confection was pulled back into the tarp bundle. Barely a moment later, the hand appeared again.

“More?” Asked the hungry troll from within the tarp.

Philip quietly placed down the piece of cardboard he'd been holding. It was becoming clear that everyone felt tense and uncomfortable with what was going on. He wanted to protest that he'd just been trying to help keep the scared older man calm but stopped himself. They had fair reasons to be concerned about him being there. He just felt like he was in the way despite trying to be helpful.

"Sorry." He mumbled and moved away so Odette could comfortably approach Tigwyn without worry. Turning to follow Kwelin, he made his way up to the lawnring. It bothered him to leave when he'd just told Tigwyn that he was there to help and protect him- like he was breaking a promise. But he didn't want to be the reason this conversation went sour. His own pride and feelings didn't matter as much as safely de-escalating things. If he couldn't be the one to help it, so be it. As long as the right person could.

"Good luck." The boy smiled back at them before disappearing up the hill.

Sarcel seemed to relax as Odette brought forward some... snacks? She raised an eyebrow as the redblood handed the brownies over in an odd game with Tigwyn.

She hummed at Kwelin's question. "Ah, you must be referring to Mentha." Sarcel hadn't experienced her techniques first hand, but she'd glossed up on everyone's military files enough to know their respective strengths. "She suffered some wounds in our last seance, but if you can locate her and she seem stable, it might be worth a try." The helmsman had undoubtedly suffered a large amount of trauma, of which Sarce wasn't qualified to deal with.

"If I can ask you and your friends a favor though, Kwelin?" She would have knelt down to engage the child in eye-level conversation, but she feared her legs refusing to stand her back up if she did so. "Aside from Mentha, I don't believe others need to know about Ioyana's situation at the moment, more so for his sake." They didn't need any extra gawkers, nor did they need any extra bodies when the man was so clearly overwhelmed.

"Your assistance is very much appreciated." She watched as Philip left, obviously dejected. The kids hadn't done anything wrong, she just didn't want them to be there in case anything did.

Odette placed another brownie in the same place, holding back a soft laugh. As terse as the situation was, she was kind of humored by this little game.

"More!" Odette replied happily, so the helmsman would know it was there.

The intake of this brownie was slower, but still sure. When the arm re-emerged, the sparks of red psionics had dulled and receded. The entire wrap of tarp looked to be less infused with energy.

“....more?” Came the voice, smaller now.

Odette gave up the last brownie, smiling that her plan (and Guo's brownies) seemed to be working. She backed away from the spot one last time, folding up the empty bag in her hands.

"Last one!" She told the helmsman.

Lorata had been as shocked as anyone when she'd come out of the catacombs and seen just who had been camping out here. She'd missed pretty much the entire conclusion of the party, it was true, and so she had only had second hand accounts of the deaths that had come with it. Tigwyn's had seemed pretty definite, even without needing to find the body. When she'd gotten around to learning more, she'd thought it was a shame. He'd been interesting.

Gradually as she stood there, though, her shock turned to distaste. It was amazing that he was alive, yes, but why was he living like this? After the kids had been ushered way (and she made a note of them again, remembering the presence of mind they'd had during Eridia's episode), she watched as Odette cheerily began feeding the man brownies. It must have been some kind of lowblooded thing, because she could not for the life of her see the reasoning to it.

There was some kind of ghostly abomination that may or may not have still been in the caverns behind them, they had no idea how many other trolls might still be down there, and here in the moonlight, she was better able to take account of the wounds they'd gotten along the way. Especially Sarce's. She didn't have time to see if feeding the man turned him back into that interesting adult she remembered. She was too worried to have time for these games.

"I'm heading up as well, to see who else may have gotten out. If Flydra's not busy, I'll bring her back with me." If she wasn't there, or if Scorpa or Austri weren't, she would need to go back under the hive. If they all were well, Flydra could take another look at Sarcel, or assist Psykgi with Tigwyn. Or she'd possibly have something to drug him with to make the point moot. "Don't do anything ridiculous while I'm gone." Mostly, she meant 'don't make those wounds worse'.

With a nod to Sarcel, she turned on her heel and followed after the children.

"Mmnh..." The last treat was snatched up. After a few minutes, the dense atmosphere began to clear like a breeze penetrating the static.

The tarp lump flattened out on the ground. Eventually, a soft sound emerged. Snoring.

A crackling on any available radios:

"The storm is clearing. Get away from the mansion if you can - it probably won't last much longer than the extraction. Which is happening..... Nnnnnnow."

You see an immense flash of hot light from the scuttleway.

Sarcel continued to watch, and wait, and watch. Suddenly the lump ceased to remain upright, and her brow quirked again. Lorata spoke. "Right, good idea." She trusted Lorata's leadership and her ability to prioritize. "I'm counting on you."

She beckoned Kerras over, "You may want to go with the others, we'll be able to take care of the situation down here. " She told the tealblood with her best soft-nice-for-kids voice, which inevitably was raspy and crackled with exhaustion. As she steadily approached Odette to continue assessing the situation, she caught onto the snoring. She looked to the redblood, back to the lump, then to Odette again before quietly asking, "Did you... drug him?" He had gone from frantic to comatose in no time flat, which was absolutely remarkable.

Rumble rumble....

The Derelict Camp is relatively unscathed, with a few pieces of the hive tumbling down the cliffside. Tigwyn remains dormant.

With the group of children gone and safer up above, Hemera relaxed as much as she could. Or, really, the one iota of relaxing she really could do in the situation as she watched on. The Schrad-playing starlet received a bag, pulled out some brownies, and Mera could only watch in confusion as she fed them to Tigwyn. The pity rose in her, as Odette had to treat Tigwyn like a wriggler. They shouldn't have let it come to this. After all the death sweeps ago, the queen's forces should have been able to find him. Not a group of volunteers, not children, not even herself as an officer. All of this carnage could have been avoided.

Erilyn's letters suddenly came to mind. She pushed them down.

Hemera continued to observe silently until Tigwyn fell asleep under his tarp. There was nothing she could do. Others could provide rehab services, maybe she could alert the Lightseekers, but that would be the extent of it. And she hated not being able to do more herself, forced to stand idly by because she didn't know what to do or how to do it. Even as she tried and tried to keep up, she was out of her depths. Both regarding Eridia, and this.

The ground rumbled, and Hemera immediately shielded Kerras. The one thing she could do, on instinct. Protect. She only loosened up when the ground stopped shaking, and nothing warned them of further demise. Tigwyn seemed at ease, still. Fortunate.

She stayed quiet still, watching Sarcel speak to Odette. There was not much reason for her to linger... But she felt like she should anyway. As if upon her leave, Tigwyn would disappear again.

Eventually, all she could say was, "We'll need to move him."

Odette jumped at Sarcel's voice, having been so focused on the sounds of the sleeping orangeblood. Slowly, she laughed it off, standing straight and smoothing out her outfit. Thinking about how to answer the question, her face flushed bright red, stammering. It didn't seem right to admit possession of drugs to a high-ranking military official.

"Well, ah, yes..." Odette finally admitted, shoulders shrugging. She held her hands close to her chest, holding the empty bag close. "When I happened upon him, it seemed obvious that he was having trouble controlling his psionics... And I remembered the... special cigarettes we included in his seance..." Slowly, the redblood gathered the confidence to meet Sarcel's gaze, though it upset her. A small part of her felt guilty for the wounds on her face.

"I had the shirtless one go to the medical van for help... The little one, too..." She explained, pointing over at Guouli and Acteon. Odette was thankful they went in her stead. It was good for to stay behind, to warn the newcomers. "They didn't bring back cigarettes, but the alternative seemed to do the trick." Odette smiled at the last part, glancing back over at the snoring tent.

Her attention quickly fell to Hemera, as soon as the tealblood had spoken up. "Oh, I can help move him!" Odette offered. "Without my own psionics, it may be difficult getting him up the cliffside," She suggested. Her powers were definitely exhausting her, but she could still push herself a little further. Either way, she was one of the adults who had escaped relatively unscathed. In fact when she thought about it, she realized Kursha had given her the most damage of the night. Absentmindedly she nursed the side of her head and winced at the growing bruise.

      Kerras Farron

The ground gave a quake and Kerras fell backwards onto their butt. Hemera lunged towards them, protecting them from the rain of rocks and debris that tumbled down the mountainside. Watching her face through the shaking, Kerras thought sadly of the podling. Where had it gone? Was it still lost somewhere below the tunnels? They had hoped to find it with the older trolls' help, but there had been no sign of it.

When the tremors stopped, Kerras peered over at the one Hemera had called Tigwyn. He dozed on despite the violent upheaval. It was strange watching him snore away. Kerras had never seen a troll sleep before... They slapped their hands to their face. There was a good reason why!

Hopping to their feet, they scrambled out from under Hemera's arms and over to the tent. Sarcel had suggested that they leave things to the adults, but Kerras knew they could help. Besides, no one else had noticed. Or at least no one considered it to be as urgent as it was. “Ah! This is bad! We need to get him into some sopor slime!” they exclaimed, attempting to pick up the orangeblood from under his arms.

The trembling from atop the cliff forced Sarcel to buckle down, her knees protesting as she shielded her head with her arm. The world went still shortly after that. It wasn't nearly as tumultuous as she was expecting--then again, the scene up above probably looked much different.

The tealblood didn't seem intent on listening, but Sarcel would deal with that later. Instead she listened to Odette as she spoke, her body aching as she pushed herself back up. "I... see. It's no matter. He definitely seemed unstable, so this is probably the safest course of action for all of us." She also looked to Guouli and Acteon, the former of which was flexing. Glamis' warnings were still fresh in her head, but the blueblood had evidently been cooperative. She wouldn't complain. By the time she looked back to Kerras, the tealblood was attempting to... move Tigwyn. She sighed and staggered her way over.

"This is bad," She tried her best to agree and reason with the child, "But don't worry, that's why we're here to help him, and that's why you need to step back for a second, alright? Cynget, your help would be greatly appreciated. Sergeant?" She looked to Hemera, "If you could assist as well? I unfortunately don't have enough trust in my own body to assist handling Tigwyn up the cliff. " Her limbs still felt shaky, her mind still numbed from the remnants of Flydra's painkillers.

"You can help me secure a space up above for him, if you'd like. We need to make sure he's brought proper medical attention... and make sure spectators don't surround him to gawk." She offered to Kerras. If they wanted to help that much, she hoped it would be ample middle ground. "And you two," She addressed both Guouli and Acteon, "Your help hasn't gone unnoticed. Thank you both for your cooperation."
