Calliope entered her elective class in her usual attire, but now she was adorned with a black jacket. The weather from the day prior had gotten worse, drifting in rain and cold and the campus was feeling it. She knew the coldness that passed over the desert at night, but it was a different type of chill than when it was accompanied by rain in this part of the world. When she had woken on her bed that was in the sill of the window, the pane of glass had been fogged over. It made her even more chilly, even with the large blanket she was cuddled under, and it was hard to get up and get ready for the class.
When she arrived in the kitchen in which her cooking class was supposed to be held in, she found she was alone. Calliope wondered if she would always be far too early for her classes, or if she was trying to compensate because she had missed a few of them when the school year started. Regardless, she found a small stool to sit on and as she waited patiently, she thrummed her fingers onto the polished wood of the counter.
When no one arrived after awhile, Calliope took it upon herself to grab a few ingredients from the overhang, and whisked up a pot full. The ending result was... not so edible, and she quickly dashed it before hearing the bell for the day to end. She packed up her things, and went back to her room, feeling not too bright about the whole fiasco.
