It was different.
This time, almost everything was different.
The two kin strolled side-by-side, and Release was quietly marvelling at the world as it continued to turn. Life moved on...and she pondered what death would actually bring, for a moment. Not that she could at all know, but, in a roundabout way it also brought life, just as she would bring life again into the world.
This time, her approach to motherhood was different. This time, she was seeking out a blessing, and for a time would stay with her partner, who figured he should come along with. Each of them were adorned in their own way with delicate butterflies; hers in a pattern upon her hide and himself with small and wondrous companions.
Yes, she knew, this time was different.
