Standing out in front of the booth is Knetic, energetically waving trolls to come closer and take a look. The booth itself is labeled "Shooty Shooty Bam Bam," and behind it sits a large mechanical contraption with trolls lining up to step inside. At the actual booth counter itself is another purpleblood, Mihail, looking far less enthusiastic than his partner. Every so often he seems to glance at their banner and cringe. Clearly, Knetic named their booth.

In the back, Saigen helps participants into the machine and straps them in, rattling off safety precautions before shutting them in and then stepping away to a control booth. A large screen in front of the machine displays what the troll inside is doing, and how many points they're wracking up. At the end, the troll inside is freed and another is beckoned to take their place.

Knetic continues to wave energetically to trolls that pass by, occasionally trying to lure them in with the offer of a prize. Well, a prize never hurt nobody. Mihail passes you a form to fill out, taking a moment to tap at the starred portions saying they aren't responsible for anything that happens to you if the machine malfunctions. Hm...

          Shooty Shooty Bam Bam
Strap on in to the simulator and take off! Your objective is to make it through each course without dying. Your troll is subjected to an onslaught of enemies and obstacles alike to destroy, each level cleared increases the difficulty of what they encounter. Once you die, you're out! Scores are recorded nightly, and cumulatively. At the end of the festivities, you can cash in your high scores for prizes.

          Instructions:
          • The game resets at 7:00AM MST
          • Fill out the form below each time you post
          • Roll 4 10-sided dice, your first dice is your prompt number, and the other three are your combined score.
          • Keep track of your score throughout the week as well as for that day.
          • Look at the spoiler below to see what your result for the day is!
          • You must write at least 50 words in response to the prompt you got with your score in order to qualify for the ticket prize.

          Prompt List:

          1. You're strapped into the machine by Mihail and Knetic's helper, but don't understand the instructions you're given. They want you to shoot what?? Suddenly the hatch is closed and the screen in front of you turns on. You're in some kind of gun pit on a ship and the controller in your hand controls the gun. You try to shoot some of the incoming attackers, but only last about 2 minutes before your screen lights up red and the words "you died" appear. You don't even get the time to mourn your loss before the hatch opens and you're basically pulled out. Better luck next time! [If you rolled this number, quote nepsah and screamingshark for a special prize -you still keep your store!]

          2. You're strapped into the simulator and get a short explanation filled with so many yawns you're not entirely sure you understand what the tealblood attendant is trying to tell you. In fact, he almost forgets to buckle you in to your seat! The door closes and your mission starts. Once you finally wipe out, it takes a few minutes before Saigen returns to open the hatch door- seems he fell asleep at the controls. Is that... safe?

          3. You're strapped into the simulator and get a short explanation of what to do. It's only when the hatch closes that you realize some jerk left an open cup of cocoa in here! The machine starts, rising and dangerously rocking the cup of hot liquid - you do your best to play without distraction but when the machine suddenly jerks to one side, you're doused in cocoa. You blow up spectacularly in the simulation as a result... Better luck next time!

          4. You're strapped into the simulator and get a short explanation of what to do. For whatever reason, the simulation seems to mostly load obstacles to destroy this time and they aren't worth a lot of points... How boring.

          5. You're strapped into the simulator and get a short explanation of what to do. Enemies pop up immediately and you barely manage to destroy them all! Only to be taken out by an asteroid you couldn't see behind all of the explosions.... Whoops.

          6. You're strapped into the simulator and get a short explanation of what to do. The screen seems to glitch out a couple minutes into playing, making it hard to see what you're doing. Somehow, you manage to keep playing for a few minutes before your game is brought to an untimely halt by the booth assistant. You don't even get to see what your score was... lame. [You still keep your score for the day]

          7. You're strapped into the simulator and get a short explanation of what to do. This game seems like a breeze to you - the controls respond smoothly, the enemies movements are easy to predict, and the obstacles show up with plenty of time to destroy them. You've really got a knack for this!

          8. You're strapped into the simulator and get a short explanation of what to do. It's only when the hatch is closed that you notice the smell.... Someone must have had an accident that wasn't properly cleaned up. You make your progress in the game trying to ignore it, but ultimately become too distracted to play past a certain point. Ugh...

          9. You're strapped into the simulator and get a short explanation of what to do. For whatever reason, you decide to double check your straps before the machine takes off, and it's a good thing you did. This level feels more like an off road adventure than a space ship battle and you're rattled around in your seat the entire time.

          10. You're strapped into the simulator and get a short explanation of what to do. Immediately, you're almost overwhelmed with enemies. You pull some sweet trick and combo moves, taking out their fleet with ease. Up ahead, an asteroid belt blocks your ship's path - you launch just the right weapon at just the right time to vaporize them. You make all of the cool moves. All of them.

          Prize List:
To determine what prize you get, please read the score list below.

He missed the allure of physical shooting booths, especially since he was practicing now. But this one had virtual shooting, which was sure to be safer, and maybe even more fun! Poeias got into the simulator, strapped and ready to go when suddenly everything went dark. Was this part of it? Luckily, he was the sort of person well used to being blind - and continued to shoot.

When the game was stopped he rubbed his neck awkwardly. He hadn't the slightest clue it had been broken!

Selune was taking a break from shooting things with a spear to instead... shooting things in a simulation. Well, it was an upgrade. At least here she didn't have to tug spears out of target dummies, or watch out to avoid being stabbed. Selune listened to the explanation, getting excited. Sadly her excitement was short lived. The greenblood must have gotten the most booring of scenarios. She made the best of it tho, and was pretty proud of her final score.

Trusci was already cracking her knuckles. Purpleblood booth? Alright, it was time to show her s**t. She loved to show off her own merit, how good she was, how much better she was at things.

Unfortunately, it didn't quite go that way. She was given a gun and shoved into some weird sort of machine. Was the person operating this thing asleep or some s**t? She swore the screen was glitching or rigged or-- or something! SHE WASN'T DOING THIS BAD! There wasn't any way!

And then it was over. She lost, or whatever. By the time she was yanked out her eyes were wide and her hair was a little ruffled. Maybe she was a little bit shellshocked at how far she had fallen, or how she hadn't even been that far ahead to begin with. No, this meant war. She had to come back--as many nights as it took--she wouldn't settle for this. She couldn't deal with this.

Engrav stepped into the simulator carefully, making sure to keep himself clear of the door. As the simulator whined to life, he checked the controls, trying to quickly familiarize himself with everything. No such luck. As soon as the cockpit of the simulation device lit up he found himself in a rapid spin that threatened to make him lose his lunch. After a few moments of trying to stabilize, the inventor finally managed to right himself, but he'd already missed out on a ton of very sparse points in this level. Damn.

It was almost like being back up in space again, fighting daywalkers. Except much safer and more imaginative. The simulation was excellently crafted and colorful but lacked some of the boring realism of exploring a decayed spaceship which was probably a good thing. She began unloading her ammo at the enemies, not completely sure what the tealblood earlier had been trying to explain about the game but... it seemed like she was earning points for shooting and killing basically anything that moved. Flydra was a trained military officer and it seemed her hours training her aim were paying off tonight.

The simulation died down and she lowered her weapon to wait. Minutes passed. Was someone coming to let her out?

"I do not understand. Is this part of the game? An escape mission?" She called out, her naturally soft voice getting louder each minute that there was no response. Eventually, the tealblood from earlier opened the door and barely mumbled that she could leave. Flydra glanced the kid up and down and wondered if he needed medical advice for his clear over-exhaustion but decided against it. It was the first night of Bloodfest. She'd give herself one night off from donning her doctor's coat.

Troll name: Nanogg Breckt
Today's score: 18
Overall score: 18

Oh, hey -- Nanogg wouldn't forget the purpleblood pair he'd met at the dance, not anytime soon. A relentless trollish instinct rose inside him -- one that drove him to approach and pester.

"Heeey there!" he greeted, grinning horn to horn, "Whatcha got here?" It was some sort of contraption, and Nanogg was instantly intrigued. He'd never seen it's like.

"Hey, I'm gonna give this a try n' all, but do either of you wanna have a little competition later?" he didn't have the specifics yet, but he figured he could think about it when he went into the... machine thing.

Oh no, he was so wrong.

So wrong.

It was like everything happened at once, and Nanogg wasn't sure what to do about any of it. He pressed the buttons he was pretty sure he was supposed to, and things happened, but as his stomach churned with panic, he barely managed not to throw up in the device as the words -- you died -- flashed on the screen.

He gasped at the fresh air and tried, desperately, to keep his cool and his feet. He needed to... not embarrass himself in front of the outsiders.

GLORY TO THE EMPIRE!
Troll name: Mimimi Meemee
Today's score: 22
Overall score: 22

Mimimi wiggled in the simulator, making popping sounds with her lips that produced little circles of smoke. She was more than excited for this new gaming experience. Target practice was fun with cans, but this was totally shiny and different! Squared up with weapon in hand, she was rooting, tooting, and ready for shooting.

Something was off, though. There was a strong smell, something Mimimi wasn't used to detecting. It smelled... organic. And putrid. Most of all it was distracting.

After disembarking, she went to one of the booth tenders to let them know. It was the right thing to do, right? They needed to know that her experience had been compromised. Politely, she tugged on the sleeve of the bespectacled purpleblood. She pointed at her simulator, then waved a hand across her sniffnode. Stinky.

Oh boy. Two fails in the first night? Mihail hadn't really expected anyone to fail, it was a pretty easy game, after all. At least, he thought so. But then again he did test it... Either way- the first one was an older yellowblood whom Knetic got to before he could. Oh no. And then ... Nanogg, right? Crap - Knetic was fast, he'd gotten to both of them before Mihail could even get around the table. He'd even asked Knetic to watch his phrasing, too!

He made his way over to the yellowblood first. "Suh--sorry, uh, for his bluntness- uh, I'm sure you'll. You'll do fine." Mihail offered her a vaguely apologetic look, then shuffled on over to the teal boy. "K-Knetic, tha--that's rude. Uh, wha--wuh... What's the com-com-competition?" He might as well find out what the other boy had in mind.

Nanogg Breckt
Nanogg had tried to play it cool, but the moment the star was pinned to his chest, he felt fury. Fury so bright, it rivalled his forge. Fury that burned away his nausea and left a gaping, aching pit instead, one fillable only with revenge.

He had only been intending to mess with them, but now... Now he would have to crush them. With a particular focus on the star-spangled ********>.

"Oh, don't worry -- I will." he said, managing to make it not a snarl, somehow. "I'll be back at this booth, don't ya worry." And that, there, was an oath. He would beat them at their own game and then throw this stupid ******** star in their faces.

"But, I'm sayin' that it mightn't be fair to compete with a game I'm no good at... Yet. Especially as you two're going about running it. We're sitting here in a big festival full o' games, I'm sure we can find something."
