Near the end of your dangerous descent into enemy territory, someone flips on a giant fan and snowballs and freezing cold water begin hurtling your way at terminal velocity. It's a blizzard! Or would be if a blizzard had torrential waves accompanying it. Using all your skills, you manage to make it to the end of the line, heroically rescue Corporal Ginnie, and take her home. She will keep you warm where mother nature has failed you.

Seadwellers hadn't been made for flying through trees, that was just a fact of life. They were, however, naturally predisposed to being perfect at everything, and that unquestionable fact definitely canceled out the other one. It was pure logic. Lorata was sure of it. It didn't make the situation any less terrifying, not really, but it would be easier to pretend it hadn't been after the fact if she could hold on to the sentiment.

The blizzard wasn't an obstacle, it was just...water. Seadwellers thrived in water! The speed she was going was nothing compared to, um, that one nightdream she'd had about surfing a wave so tall it could reach space! And the whole experience was- Oh Glub she hoped it ended soon. It was so cold.

Clutching Corporal Ginnie to her chest, Lorata determinedly finished her daring heroics with a shiver.

In the heat of the moment, Nahori had enjoyed shooting roman candles at Deimos. Even after the fact, even as he approached looking just as sour as she remembered him, she didn't quite regret it. There was definitely a flip to her stomach because he was still a highblood and she still felt sore about their encounter that night some time ago, but there was something empowering about the whole situation. It wasn't just because Sarcel was here to back her up, either.

Maybe that was a little weird, Nahori thought. It might be different if this were a serious situation instead of a Bloodfest booth.

She smoothed her palms against her thighs and cleared her throat. "There's... no problem," she told him, assuming his issue had been the whole heavy artillery thing. "I was just... doing my job." After all, they'd shot the fireworks at other participants, too. Deimos wasn't special (except he was in a way, but Nahori didn't want to give him the satisfaction).

Scooping up Corporal Ginnie from the snow, she brushed her plush head off with gentle fingers.

Eyzaak Hiroki
Today's Points: 25
Total Points: 40

Eyzaak looked absolutely like he was ready to chicken out. He fidgetted and peered at the zipline with a wary expression. It was...fine right? The blueblood climbed ropes all the time..and swung from his treehive when he was back at Salamire. Gulping he decided to charge head first into it. The sooner he got this over with the better.

Due to his running head start when he caught himself on the line, he shot forward. Screaming as he went, Eyzaak flailed and kicked a bit. He was going so damn fast down the line, he had no idea what was going on. All he knew was he was comin' for Corporal Ginnie..he wanted to make an impression gog damn it! Before he knew it, he had completed a nearly flawless run. Out of breath and panting, Eyzaak looked back towards the direction he came from...that was INSANE! He almost wanted to do it again.

Trevel was beyond terrified as the line snapped. Everything went in a blur... that is, until he closed his eyes. As the tower shifted, he prayed.. Prayed to what? He had no idea. He just prayed that today wasn't the day he died, especially in such a dumb way! His luck had never been so bad and this experience would surely haunt him, you know... if he lived.

Thank the corporal! He ended up in one piece, well... mostly!

Saving toys again... Guess that was the game now, every night. Weird dumb hero s**t. No wonder Leeroi liked it. Guo wanted more blades and thrills. Maybe that disinterest made it harder for him to 'win'. He went off the side, but really that was more fun than getting the plushie. Guouli found that he just...didn't...care a whole lot about the stuff that it looked like he was supposed to.

Everything was in order. Leeroi was confident after his last two missions. He was strong, he had military training and fortitude, he had the ambition and the need for speed. Everything should have gone right.

He couldn’t have been more wrong in his life.

Everything was going smooth until he got to Hamham. He had miscalculated the trajectory, setting himself on a collision course with the Sergeant. There wasn’t enough time to course correct— Leeroi didn’t even have a second to panic before his vehicle collided with the stuffed comrade, the blades of his sled tearing through the felted flesh of the fat hamster toy.

Leeroi gasped with remorse, watching stuffing spilling out all over the front of the sled. Immediately, he leaned back in the sled in an attempt to get away, subsequently tumbling backwards and falling out. His foot caught on the reins of the sled, so as he continued to fall down the decline the vehicle continued to slam against him. As if the cold, rocky ground wasn’t painful enough.

Leeroi finally came to a halt as the ground leveled out from the slope. Through blurry vision, Leeroi could tell the snow was stained blue down the track, now. Stuffing littered the path, too. Somehow, the blueblood thought that was worse. Without even appraising his own wounds, he curled in on himself, resting his face in his hands. How could he have let this happen— no, how could he have committed this crime against Sergeant Hamham. Their blood… it was on his hands.

Eyzaak Hiroki
Today's Points: 15
Total Points: 55

Eyzaak came back for another round of one of his favorite booths. Seriously. This place was fantastic! Tonight it looked like another exciting chapter in the dramatic war-torn series. The trees had all gone...and now the wasteland of snow was for all to lay eyes on.

He would go to Sergent Hamham! Eyzaak lept onto the slide and quickly made his way. Everything was pretty smooth sailing until he realized a good chunk of the ********' track was missing?! The blueblood's eyes widened as he flailed a bit. OH s**t!! As he was trying to maneuver back onto the completed portion of the track, he noticed the "Unmanned Tank" begin to charge at him. Rushing to the end goal, he panted slightly as he accepted the "documents" from Hamham's cute little paw.

The battlefield is a gruesome, unforgiving place. All soldiers must come to realize this eventually. There was nothing more to be said about Leeroi's catastrophe.

Such is the a** of getting Jacked.

But worry not; though our comrades may fall, they will never be forgotten. Remember the pain of your failure. Let it drive you, learn to accept it as a small comfort, and may you never repeat your mistakes again.

Eckios Chivul
Today's Points: 10
Total Points: 10

Eckios had seen the adorable plushies that Trevel and Eyzaak brought back...and he seriously wanted one. Even if the game it's self-seemed...really scary, and he had to sign paperwork he was eager to try out his luck and see where it got him. Gulping nervously, the boy's mismatched eyes were fixated on the track barely visible underneath the copious amounts of snow. Nibbling on his bottom lip, he listened to the basic run down of the game. Okay. He could..do this!

Yeah! He had this!

Eckios was soon whizzing down the slide trying his damnest not to scream and accidentally use his powers. OH GOG OH GOG WHY?! As he went along, a sharp turn was ahead. Throwing his arms up over his face he soon came around the turn safely. He tried to break with the sled...and it wasn't working. The thing turned right off the sharp turn...and kept going..grinding against solid concrete. Fear shone in the boys one good eye. He was going to die..! This was it! Goodbye cruel world...

However, by the time he finally arrived to greet Sergent Hamham...(he hadn't died somehow, despite all the hooting and hollering he did and dramatic flailing enough that his lusus even came to inspect the scene). Sadly, the documents had been stolen. He was just glad the Sergent was mostly unharmed! He beamed childish, embarrassed as he climbed off the sled and scampered off to go play more booths.

Quella Fehtan
Today's Points: 10
Total Points: 25

Quella's sled shook and rattled as she saw the turn come up. But she was doing it! She was gonna make it! The blueblood was determined to give a good show for the military. She yanked on her runners as the sled started to go into the turn.

It kept going straight.

Startled, the huge blueblood tried to slam her foot down to push the sled somewhere not flying off the track. No dice. There was a scream of inarticulate rage as the blueblood with her tiny sled went sailing off the track and into the thin snow.

She was gonna find the troll that kept giving her shoddy equipment. And then she was gonna do... something.

Static Charge
Daily Mission:
t's smooth sailing until you notice a good chunk of the track ahead of you is missing. It's been damaged by the enemy (or maybe never been built at all). It's rough, but you manage to pull it out of your a** somehow. That is, until an "Unmanned" ""Tank"" (see: snowmobile) charges straight into you. Well whatever, you were near the end anyway. When you make it to Sergeant Hamham, he's got the stolen documents in paw.

Static was doing well, until the tracks that were supposed to arrive, did not. If Static was a religious man, he would have shouted out juggalo words of mirth. What he did do was grit his teeth and prepare for the landing.

*SCREETCH* The train hit the end of the tracks, and metal on metal squealed. The blueblood scrambled away to safety before the train exploded stopped. Panting, Static thought he had been through the worst of it. Sadly, no such thing was true.

AN UNMANNED TANK APPEARED-

And completely took Static by surprise! With no time to catch his breath, he made a wild dash for the exit, where Sergeant Hamham waited. It was with a beating plump biscuit that the two made it out alive, mission complete.

Seemingly unconvinced but unwilling to push further, Deimos just... squinted at Nahori for a few seconds longer before turning and stomping off. Right. Just doing her job.

---

The next night when he returned the course had, once again, completely changed. This time it was some sort of...sled run? Good practice for the competition at the end of the week, he figured. He gave Nahori a sour look as he signed up for the track, then took his place in line.

Everything was going just fine until the track ahead seemed to be missing. What- what the ********. A brief moment of panic set in as he realized there was no way to slow down in time to safely stop the sled before the track ran out. s**t. Bracing for a terrible impact, he just... did what he could to hold on. The sled skidded to an awful grinding halt, metal screeching on concrete below. God, that sound, it was awful. His teeth felt like they were vibrating.

Just as he managed to free himself of the sled to make the rest of the journey on foot, something heavy collided with his back. The world spun as Dei flopped forward, flailing a little. Good job, buddy. Whatever the thing was, it continued to make... sounds? Oh what the <********>. He wriggled himself around enough to shove the unmanned snow-mobile that was still partially on top of him off, and then pushed himself up. He was practically seeing red. No sleep, no track, and an unmanned snowmobile were not a good combination.

The rest of the trek was practically a cakewalk with a rage fueled power-walk through the snow. He grabbed Sargeant Hamham and the papers, then made his way back to the check in point. Mission: Accomplished.

He needed to go take a nap.

You see a sharp turn ahead and smartly start applying the breaks to make it around safely. Unfortunately, they don't seem to work and you're going way too fast to do anything about it. Are all the sleds set up this way? You speed straight off the slide at the turn. If that wasn't bad enough, it seems as though the thickness of the snow is an illusion, because it's nothing but solid concrete three inches down. By the time you make it to Sergeant Hamham, the documents have been stolen back by the enemy, but he's relatively uninjured due to his immense tenacity and prowess in the field of combat.

Mihail was determined to do good at this booth. He just... he had to, right? If he tried enough at it he'd get the hang of it eventually, that's just how life was for him. It didn't help that the course had totally changed from last time, though. He was equally impressed as he was worried about his success rate on an entirely new track.

Things seemed to be going okay at first, though. As the turn up ahead approached, he began applying the brakes, but they didn't seem to be working quite as well as they needed to in order to actually do some good. Oh no. The sled jumped the side of the track, skidding to a terrible halt on the concrete. Mihail sat in place for a couple seconds, dazed and confused, then realized what was going on and quickly undid his buckles.

Unfortunately, he was still quite a ways away from Sargeant Hamham and didn't quite make it in time to get the intel. A terrible failure on his part as far as he was concerned, but at least Hamham was safe. He picked up the plushie and went to turn it back in to Sarcel and Nahori. He could only hope they would forgive his partial failure.
