Apibom returned once more, just as hungry. Or well, almost as hungry. They'd made it through a ton of ribs but not quite as much as the night before, then had to call it quits. Their stomach was protesting and, well, they'd learned in the past not to ignore that sort of protest lest they want to be incapacitated for a few hours.

This was the most food they'd ever eaten in their entire life...

It was pretty much a habit now to just come order a plate of food at the Whole Hog, and then eat it while deciding which booths he wanted to do first. This plate didn't have anything special about it either, but honestly it wasn't the prize he was after. A full stomach helped the mind work properly.

Gnash watched the groups of people eating together... she wondered if she would get to eat together with her friends in Grub Scouts. Distracted, she only ate a few ribs!

Gnash suddenly had an idea, and went to order something from the counter. She could get a meal... and bring it to a friend! Then they would have to eat it with her.

Nanogg Breckt

This was great -- Nanogg nearly burst out laughing as Stryke (what was his disguise name? he wasn't sure. Either way, the fire was warm, but the people around him just kept getting... well, cooler and cooler!

All these grown up (teenagers counted) trolls, important people in the Initiative, one of which a yellowblood, and he got to eat with them. Without his lusus, no less! That was the coolest feeling ever...

Which meant he had to be equally cool. And hey, wasn't that Eyzaak? Why wasn't he joining in? Silly -- who would pass this s**t up?

"Thanks!" The marshmallow wasn't his thing, but like, he wasn't going to turn it down. The question was, what to talk about? Nothing from home, that was for sure. Be secret, be safe was a rule and everyone else was in disguise.

Maybe about Bloodfest? Bobsledding was coming up... no wait, he'd read the team register. Keionx Rutace was with "Pennie Teller" but in the other disguise, she had? Hadn't he heard that she had two?

"Hey, anyone going to do that avalanche survival thing? It sounds like fun, huh."

There. Normal conversation.

He was cool now.

"..." Keionx was silent, aware of eyes, ears, and disguises. It would be difficult to keep up one persona while thinking about the other. "I know someone who is." she said gruffly, wondering if maybe she should run off and change disguises quickly, or if she should just... deal with it.

She could also just enjoy the silence. Yeah.

Psykgi Mentha
Psykgi still wasn't so sure about meat. Crabs, maybe, but even then... well... She saw Gnash was there, and she decided to give it a try.

And she tried. She wasn't sure how she felt, but the texture of the meat was... wonderful. She wasn't sure if she could feel felt as good after eating them, though. One after another... Psykgi didn't... feel so good. Eventually, she had to stop. She had to.

Reeling from the feeling, she slid any of her remaining ribs towatds Gnash and staggered back to her booth to grab lots, and lots of peppermints.

Rib time! Reemus really enjoyed them, as per usual. He liked gnawing on the bones. Reemus knew, deep in his heart, that he should take some bones home for Woofmum.

Knetic is absolutely famished. Just ravenous and in the mood for more of those delicious ribs!

He wraps a napkin around his neck, rubs his hands together and licks his lips. it's time to dig in.

The time seems to disappear as he devours rib after rib, face messy with sauce and chipmunked full of meat. Before he knows it, he's downed 89 ribs and it's the best meal he's had all week.

They came by storm.

One moment, the booth had been peaceful, soaking in the calm and quiet of the still early evening. The next, it was absolute war, with podlings racing over tables, knocking over chairs, bumping into patrons. One pair hopped up and down on the counter, spraying BBQ sauce at each other. Another ran around with its leaves aflame. Most notably though, all of them were gorging themselves. Ribs disappeared down vascular gullets at a rate unprecedented. Their tiny bodies seemed to have no limit, as they devoured rack of meat after rack of meat, consuming them meat, bone and all.

Then, just as soon as they'd begun, the podlings finished. Many fell asleep where they stood, and others tottled away to some restful nook. One even sank its roots into the ashes of since cold fire. Another dove headfirst into the water tank, where it bobbed in blissful relief. In all, twelve podlings dozed about the booth, heedless of any inconvenience they might have caused.

What.... what were all these tiny lususes doing here? Api picked their way through the chaos back to the eating contest table. Oh... squash today? That was fine by them- a nice change in the monotony of ribs. They chowed down, consuming a fair amount of it. But, as with every night before, they eventually grew too full to finish and had to call it quits. Oh well.

It seemed that the Whole Hog had been taken over by seedlings. What a weird sight.. Dei wasn't even sure if they'd be open for regular food ordering, but apparently they were. He had to admit this kid had some tenacity. He grabbed his plate - not a winner - and then shuffled off to find somewhere to eat.
