Selune Maidez
Selune had taken up the "gatherer" aspect that followed along with Quella's "hunter" motif. But was fishing considered hunting? Or gathering? On one hand, you kinda had to throw in a line and fight it, but on the other hand she was sort of gathering fish from the sea. When selune did manage to catch a fish, she realized she would have to learn how to clean ot... Cleaning a fish seemed much more like a "hunter" thing. Fish must be on the hunting side.

Prize Number: 29 - sealed gerbil clothes and accessories

Ice fishing, huh? Dei hadn't considered that as a possibility, but it seemed simple and fun enough. He cast the line into the pool and then... tugged up hard, pulling along a sealed bag of gerbil clothing and accessories. Would... the mutated ones fit into these? If not he supposed the non-mutated one could wear them. He shook the bag off a bit before pocketing it.

The Dream that You Wish
Will Come True: Sleep. Actual, restful sleep.

The other activity seemed pretty... lame. Write a wish down and then at the end of the festival they might come true? Logically that was dumb and he didn't really believe it, but... One could say that Deimos was desperate for any sort of solution at this point. He'd been barely managing a couple of hours of sleep the last few nights and it was showing at this point. He grabbed one of the paper fish and then a pen to write with.

The wish was simple- he was sure if he wished for something big like to be cured of his sleeping ailments that he'd be asking for too much. But a decent day's sleep? Just one? Undisturbed by daymares or tossing and turning, or waking up because he needed to use the bathroom... Just laying down in his recouperacoon and waking up fully rested eight or nine hours later. That... now that seemed like it wasn't too much to ask for. He scribbled down 'a full day's rest' on the paper fish, then placed it in with the other wishes to be hung up later.

As much as the skeptic in him was dead set that it wouldn't work, some part of him really hoped that it would.

Ice fishing seems like a no brainer. You set a line and pull in a prize, hopefully a good one but you just never know with the sea and all it's wonders!

Knetic sets out a line and promptly gets to thinking, anything to pass the time while his line hooks something. Though it doesn't seem to take very long at all.

He feels a slight tug and starts hefting, boy howdy that's a heavy fish!! He finally manages to haul the sea-sucker out and....it's an honest to grub treasure chest.

What are the odds!

Peering inside he sees it's a Moai Head Chess Set!

Gnash liked the ocean. She lived there, of course, right along the beach. She saw fish all the time! So a fishy booth caught her eye, and she flared her gills as she tried to ice-fish. With a bit of surprise, she actually managed to catch a fish! But... what was she supposed to do with it?

Fishing? Emi had never fished before in her life, but that didn't mean she couldn't start now! Funnily enough, she didn't think anyone around here knew how to fish, considering only one troll successfully pulled up an actual fish. Ah. Well.

"Whoa! Wait, holy s**t, I think there's something--!" Her rod tip had tapped! Maybe it hit the bottom, or maybe it was actually a fish, but upon reeling it up it was just... a necklace? That's what the little blueblood dudette meant when she said the bottom was stocked with treasures? Like, legit jewelry? Man! Highbloods and their wacky-but-literal definitions.

"This is totally sweet. I get to like, really keep this? Awesome." She pocketed her loot, definitely sure she'd be back again tomorrow.

Sarcel seldom left the booth. It was too chaotic, too much going on, and while she trusted Nahori to hold down the fort in her absence, she tried to keep her breaks short and light. Still, she tried to make them meaningful when she could. Breaks were a perfect opportunity to check in on other booths, especially ones run by trolls that she cared about.

"Hello, Demari." The booth was bright with the lights of the pergola, but the atmosphere was still somewhat... subdued. For Sarcel anyway. A little respite away from the crazier Bloodfest activities. She offered the fellow blueblood a small, but encouraging smile (despite the contrast of her exhausted expression, it looked genuine).

Still, it'd be a shame to leave without participating. Fishing wasn't her style, but wish-fish? Sure, she could confide into a piece of paper. Peace was a pleasant dream, but ultimately unavoidable. Safety could follow the same vein. If she wanted to be safe, she wouldn't be a lieutenant. So...

"It's you! You're the girl from the play, aren't you? Do you remember me? I'm Amonee." Amonee was incredibly surprised to run into Demari again. Pleasantly surprised as well. The booth was chic, elegant and adorable. He beamed at the decorations and the idea of sending out wishes to the ocean. He had never tried fishing before but it looked easy enough in this format. The jadeblood could tell it wouldn't be as hard as actually fishing for live creatures in a lake or ocean thankfully.

"So I... wait, no- okay I think I've got the hang of it!" Amonee brightened as he fished up a pretty sparkling ring. How cute! He tucked it on his finger and held it up against the moon to see it twinkle in the light. What a beautiful prize!

"Thank you. Your booth is very nice, Demari!"

Polair had mixed feeling about fishing, being a seadweller and all. Yet it proved to be calming. It wasn't the first time she has fished during bloodfest, she really hoped to get something cool. A new specimen perhaps? Gog... That would be great.

Reeling it in, Polair discovered that her catch of the night was a can. Wow.

The Dream that You Wish
Will Come True: Acceptance for her blindness

Polair decorated her fish, not really thinking if they looked good or not. Fishing a can had been frustrating enough. If she had her sight she would-- No. She couldn't think that way. The highblood sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose as she tried to avoid that pitiful line of thought. She was better than that, she knew it, she had proved it dozen of times.

So why did thoughts like that still crept in her mind? After so many sweeps of self sufficiency? 'Is it because I know many won't take me as I am?' Polair thought. She was starting to get tired of hiding from the world behind her bangs and shades, but the very thought of uncovering her eyes was scary. What if others looked down on her? What if they laughed or simply took her as a needy and helpless troll?

What would her lusus do to her? That was an even scarier thought. Polair took her paper fish, touching the texture as she tried not to overwhelm herself in deep thought. Taking something to write, Polair carefully wrote, "I wish I wouldn't need to hide who I am anymore." It was silly to wish yet... Liberating to write that down. Like getting something out of your chest after so many years keeping it in.
