Physical Description: With dark skin and hair, amber eyes should be considered Xela’s most striking trait. Yet there is a giving warmth that gives her a certain loveliness, despite her plainess.
Personality: Xela has a taste for fine things in life. When it comes to quality, Xela knows it even in the rough. This has paired in her life with a generous soul. However, her need to give and give does not come from a place of charity. It comes from a desperate need to be liked, and she will stretch herself thin if she thinks it will get her positive attention. This makes her easily manipulated by those who would wish to take advantage of it - and risk Cubath’s ire. She is easily at the bottom of her own priority list, and to some could be considered a martyr, willing to expend herself to make sure those around her get what they want while neglecting her own needs.

However, having put very little thought into what needs she could possibly have has kept Xela’s life simple and uncomplicated and leaves her in a generally easy-going mood most of the time.

History: Xela has always lived a simple life. Born to a pair of vinters who were at least reasonably skilled at their craft at the Vinter Hall, she spent her childhood gaining a practiced taste for good things. This taste for quality would serve her well into her apprenticeship, where her recommendations for an upcoming feast at Western Weyr would draw enough attention to the young woman - in her late teens by this time - for her to be searched.

She wouldn’t be considered particularly outstanding compared to the others in her candidate group, and she was looked over by 2 clutches of dragons before the day her lifemate spilled onto the sands. The dark green pulled herself out of an egg shared with her blue twin brother, offering him sweet trills and baby-bugles before she started her strut across the sands. She allowed herself to soak in all attention offered to her before she moved towards the girl almost as dark as her hide.

Ah, my Xela. You want for little, but I will make sure you want for nothing, my love. I only ask that you do the same for me, my sweet, simple, dear.

And the green was absolutely gluttonous in her desire for all fine things she could possibly get her claws on. Fine looking males,fine looking females,the finest choices for her meals. Cubath’s appetites were - and have been - well fed by her choice in lifemate, much to the green’s pleasure. Life was good and fine, almost lackadaisical as far as the dragon was concerned.

Until thread returned and started striking dragons from the sky. Cubath was appalled to see her fine and dandy way of living was ruined, but more than that, dragons and riders that she and Xela knew well were knocked from the sky never to be seen again.

Perhaps had she not been so hungry to keep that which she likes close to her, it would have been harder to motivate her lifemate, but Xela and Cubath have risen to the task of being a normal wingrider. It may not be the finest of tasks, and Cubath hungers for more authority, but for the time being it suits them well.

Physical Description: Cubath’s body is slenderly built, with a long neck and tail. Her smaller body size makes her look smaller than dragons smaller than her because she is simply not as tall.
Personality: There is no doubting this green has an agenda. What this lady wants, she gets, and there are no means beneath her to those ends. However, her chosen tried-and-true is often just enough: sweet manipulation. The art of throwing her weight ever so delicately and smoothly leaning enough strength into her words without seeming too over the top has been well practiced, though she seemed to come out of the shell with a certain sashay in her stride.

While Cubath could be described as a selfish dragon, she’s also quite ready to be manipulative on behalf of others….if it suits her, that is. It could be said that Cubath keeps more minions, than friends, but if she has claimed another dragon as her’s in some fashion, her favors are never-ending. Make your life a little easier? Why certainly! But know if another looks to be taking one of these from her, she will make them rethink that course of action with sharp claws, sharp words, and regret. This goes twofold for those who leave her circle of blessing on their own.

She tends to be fickle, however, and will lose interest in things quickly so waiting until she’s ready to move past you is usually the better option.
