Physical Description: Tall, handsome, and everyone's idea of a dragonrider. Which is only funny because he's not one. Tristram has medium brown hair and pale violet eyes. He's swarthy and well muscled, with washboard abs. Yes, he noticed you looking. No, he doesn't mind.
Personality: As an extremely talented healer, Tristram has a tendency to be... well, demanding. He knows what his patients need and insists on absolute compliance. It would be a ridiculous waste of his valuable time if they were not, and would, in his opinion, be against their best interests. So sit down, shut up, and hold still. That said, he is more than capable of handling difficult patients. He has abundant patience when it comes to caring for others, and although he's abrasive he does have a decent bedside manner. It is important to him that anyone he treats receives the best of care, which means that they need the best from him as their healer.
He holds himself to rigorous standards. He's certainly prideful and arrogant - a common trait among healers. Due to his status as a trauma healer, he often sees the worst cases. It may not seem apparent, but he does have a big heart, and it is entirely likely that he has spent time alone grieving for those patients who were too far gone to save. He prefers his massage work sometimes for that reason. It is by far more pleasant.
On a personal level, Tristram is a devoted man. Were he to take a lover, they would undoubtedly be his one and only. He is extremely particular about who he takes to bed. No one has ever stolen his heart before and it would be a lucky man indeed who managed. That said, he is rather rough around the edges and lacking in some of the well bred manners that others seem to value so highly. He came from a middle class family and doesn't care to pretend at "better." He takes what he wants when he wants it, seeing it as his due for the work that he does. He has never pretended to be good at sharing and probably never would be.

History: Born into a middle of the road family in Rivercrest Hold, Tristram was trouble from the start. Not because he was getting into anything. No, Tris caused trouble with his endless, ceaseless questions. He'd get right into the middle of his parents' work and ask them what they were doing. Then came the inevitable "why?" He was fascinated by the brawls in the family tavern, examining the injuries of both parties in a way that seemed adorable at first but quickly became problematic. Not everyone was willing to put up with the precocious child.
When he reached the age of ten, his parents had had enough. They'd had to patch up their boy more times than they could count and were thoroughly fed up with the process. And no little worried. Not to mention he was by no means their only child. With four (soon to be five) other mouths to feed one troublemaker was due for a change in scenery.
However, when he was sent off to the Healer Hall (and don't ask what deal they made to get him there, he still doesn't know,) rather than reining him in, his new masters were thrilled by his interest. He was almost obsessed. Tristram applied himself to his studies like he needed them to breathe, soaking up everything like a sponge. His passions were varied, his interests requiring Turns of study to pursue as a bonified healer. He got into trouble but that couldn't hold him back. His drive was simply too much.
When he walked the tables at 18, his parents were quietly proud. He was sent to his native Western to study under a master trauma healer and to assist the man. When Thread returned he immediately volunteered to join the Weyr's staff of healers, for Threadscore intrigued him. Patients who had been scored by Thread reacted much like his own patients. It was, for Tris, a relatively easy transition. Although he hasn't made too many friends among his peers. He has found the variety of injuries sustained by riders at the Weyr to be fascinating indeed!
Other: Enjoys clothes. Immensely. However, his taste tends to be flamboyant.
