Personality: Sayuri is a quiet mouse who will one day soon come out of her shell, she greatly enjoys looking after the sick and wounded and can often be found following healers around on her off time and aiding them with whatever chore they may need. It is one place that she feels truly comfortable. When it comes to the rest of the weyr, she really hopes to make friends but find that her own introverted and shy tendancies seem to get in the way. She is likely to avoid conflict at all costs. The one time she really shows any temper at all is when she is interupted in her morning routine, she prefers it to be quiet, involving tea and the latest hide to read. The rest of her day is spent working her butt off to prove she is meant to be here a part of the weyr. She is dragon and firelizard obsessed and around them she truly relaxes. A part of her hopes dearly to make dragon rider and another part is sure it will never happen. How could a holdless girl compete with lord holders children?

History: Sayuri was born to a poor holdless family who made a living by hunting and gathering in the wilds. The day she was searched was arguably the most terrifying of her life. It started with seeing a large bronze dragon, the biggest she had ever seen, having seen very few in her life at least up this close. The dragon flew closer, soaring overhead until it jerked on its path, startling her family into stopping their march to the north to gather berries. It landed in all its glory and its rider dropped to the ground. He informed them that his dragon had discovered that one among them had the chance of being chosen at a hatching and should it be their wish, that person would become a candidate for the weyr.

Her family stood in shock and despite wishing that it was her brother who would be chosen, it was Sayuri. Despite her fears a part of her wanted to try to feel what it was like to ride a dragon for the first time. Especially one such as this, so mighty. Gulping she agreed to become a candidate and experience the other world, the world of holders and dragonriders.

It was with a sense of intense wonder and some trepidation that she got on top of the large dragon who had been performing a sweep for his wing. She mewled a little bit when he moved underneath her, the rider getting on behind her, comforted her. "Not to worry, we won't let you fall, dragons are some of the sweetest most caring creatures, you will see."

She was brought to High Reaches hold and tried her best to perform all of her duties well. After some time she began to relax and enjoy the bustle and cheer around the weyr. She was in awe of how the place worked like a well oiled machine.
